Paige Bueckers x Azzi Fudd

Synopsis: One of UConn’s cheerleaders gets too comfortable with Azzi’s girlfriend Paige.

This season was probably one of Azzi’s hardest seasons, with her injury but what made it better was Paige. The two of them both understood each other in ways people couldn’t understand. Knowing someone for so long, and falling in love is something neither Paige or Azzi would never trade not for anything in the world.

Especially both being able to play basketball together at UConn, they push each other for the better, always there for one another.

Just because they have a beautiful relationship doesn’t mean they don’t have their bad times and moments. With all the new media attention Paige has been getting recently put a spotlight on their relationship. Though the two of them haven’t made any big claims that they’re dating they don’t try to hide it either, not secret just private.

Not many people at UConn knew of their relationship, because they didn’t care much for PDA.

Azzi sat on the bench of the first game of UConn’s basketball season, soon she would be able to play but for now she had to wait. Her and Jana sat together on the bench cheering the girls on from the sidelines. Azzi’s eyes watched Paige go around the court never leaving her figure.

When UConn wins the game 68-61 the crowd goes while everyone cheer for them and Paige. But Paige runs straight for Azzi hugging the girl in her arms “We did it ma” Paige whispers into her hair.

Azzi nods in her arms “You did it, you were so good out there P” she compliments her. Paige smiles and a few girls from UConn’s cheer team come over to them.

The girls start taking pictures with Paige complementing her. There this one short brunette girl that couldn’t keep her hands off of Paige.

Now Azzi didn’t really get jealous, she trusted Paige but seeing a girl all up on her girlfriend complimenting her over and over, jealousy was bound to happen.

Azzi glares at the girl before grabbing onto Paige, wrapping her arm around her waist “Yeah she was great out there wasn’t she” Azzi agrees with the girl a forced smile on her face. Paige looks at her squinting her eyes confused, she knew Azzi more than she knew herself and she didn’t know why she was acting weird. Until it hit her, hand on the waist, pretty cheerleaders in front of her, Azzi was jealous.

Paige makes a mental note of that before smiling at Azzi, a suspicious smile on her face, confused the curly haired girl next to her. Paige smiles down at the brunette cheerleader “Yall were good out there too J can’t even do a cartwheel and yall was jumping in the air and shit it was amazing” she licks her lips doing her notorious rizz hands.

Azzi mean mugs her and let’s go of her walking away annoyed at the way Paige was trying to rizz up girls in front of her.

The cheerleaders look at Azzi confused and Paige smiles at them thanking them all and saying goodbye before running after Azzi.

She catches Azzi’s arm and turns her around smiling “You jealous?” she asks biting her lip to stop her smile.

Azzi rolls her eyes “No” she said raising her brows trying to seem confident in her answer. Paige mimics her raising her brows too crossing her arms “Ya sure?” she asks her again moving closer to the girl till there chest to chest.

“So what? She was all over you? What was I supposed to do watch you flirt with all those little cheerleaders?” Azzi asks raising her arms annoyed. Paige smiles and grabs her hand dragging her to the locker room before closing the door behind them.

Paige caresses Azzi’s cheek “I’m sorry it’s cute when you’re jealous I couldn’t help myself” the blonde says looking at the girl her eyes boring into hers. Azzi could never stay mad at Paige so she nods looking down only for Paige to hold her chin up so they can maintain eye contact.

Azzi looks down at Paige’s lips for a moment before smashing her lips into Paige’s wrapping her arm around her waist, pulling the girl closer to her. Paige moans into the kiss off guard her hand moving to hold the back of Azzi’s neck to keep her in place.

The two girls make out against the wall before KK bursts in singing with the team behind her. KK groans “NOT MY PARENTS KISSINF IN FRONF OF ME GET A ROOM A CHILD IS PRESENT” she exclaims her eyes covered by Nika who was behind her laughing her ass off.

Paige flips KK off “Your a grown woman Kamora” she says moving away form Azzi. KK scoffs “Girlboo I know you ain’t just call me Kamora, Paige Madison Bueckers” she replies attitude in her voice.

Azzi gets between them and pulls Paige away before the two can start arguing.

legit thought, its like the concept of being gay is fine but actually being gay in front of peoples faces is totally wrong and digusting.. its ridiculous to be quite frank that people expect paige to be straght when shes christian when there are probably hundreds of thousands of christians that are also queer. its almost like believing in god doesnt denote who you love and how??? two elite athletes like paige and azzi dating is exactly the representation we need in mainstream media these days, The only problem is that they would most likely get a lot of hate from all sectors of people. The fantasy that straight men create around female celebrity's in general where they cannot have any sort of partner (kpop for example) because it "Ruins" the fantasy that is created where the consumer of the female celebrities media is making some sort of parasocial relationship between the consumer and celebrity. obviously this can be linked towards the male loneliness epidemic but i could talk on and on for days about it. the point being is that the fact that there is a possiblity that two of these ELITE athletes could be dating, is in my opinion so amazing.

i just want to go off for a second, and i would love some input from other people as well.

the thing that shocks me SO MUCH about the pazzi discussion, Especially on tiktok, is just how much “subtle not so subtle” homophobia there is surrounding sports. if there is even the THOUGHT of two women athletes dating, some people will comment “this shit makes me want to pull my eyelashes out,” “i am so sick and tired of this pazzi bullshit,” “paige is literally a christian so she can’t risk disappointing god,” and some will even spend Hours of their day scrolling through edits on tiktok JUST to comment “THEY’RE BEST FRIENDS youre going to ruin their friendship! THEYRE BEST FRIENDS STOP SHIPPING THEM.” “God forbid a girl has a best friend….”

i mean shit, i was on reddit and one comment innocently asking if they’re dating - it received 47+ downvotes and so much outrage in response.

it is just So weird to me. the thought of two women dating is so ludicrous to some people and it’s gross. i am sure if they are dating, they have their reasons for not hard launching. i am so willing to bet that this homophobia is another reason why.

and it astounds me just how comfortable people are with being homophobic. when i come across speculation videos of paige or azzi maybe having a boyfriend, there isn’t a single comment telling anyone to cut the shit or pleading with them to make all the speculation stop. there aren’t dedicated people who go around on all the straight speculation videos commenting how disgusting it is.

of course, as a lesbian myself, i am always aware of just how homophobic people can be. but to see it so BLATANTLY will always be unnerving to me.

I think about this video all the time. Cause what could they have possibly been doing to have ended up asleep like this
