It's called a "call and response" and a lot of peoples brains are just hot wired to finish the other half! Think the Adams Family with the snapping, no matter what when most people hear "da da da dum" they are gonna snap or make the sound however they can to finish it!

idk if this is just an american thing, but do you guys remember when ur teacher would do this little rhythm of sounds and the children would respond with like the end notes and then they were expected to be quiet?? yeah thats what happening in this comic 

Felt silly while replaying P5R and Im about to go to Sae's palace so I felt like it was fitting to draw Crow's prince outfit

Oh also a "what if Ume had a Phantom Thief attire" scenario because I am weak Im only human

1. Crow: "A piercing gun? What a strange choice..!"

2. Hime(Ume's code name): "Did you know that 25% of people are afraid of needles of any kind? And this kind of piercing gun does more harm than good most of the time. You shouldn't underestimate it, big bro."

3. Hime: "Or were you volunteering to test it's damage capabilities personally?"

Crow: "I'd rather not."

If u're caught up with the fics u know that Ume is a demigod, an egyptian one. So I went with the animal mask motif and the broad collar necklace shape that is common in Egyptian murals.

The belts are there to give some resemblance to Akechi's Black Mask bodysuit pattern, while keeping it somewhat fresh and unique (imo).

The sideblades on rollerblades is her weapon of choice (this is kept from her original design that I'm yet to announce properly <3); the piercing gun came to me as a joke, but we can chuck it up to the fact that Ume is more than willing to continue leaning the hairdressing skill from Chiyoko and later expand her salon to a more general one where she can be the piercing master.

The right leg's design is inspired by the knee braces due to the [spoiler] knee injury she often suffered while being on ice. Ume wears her knee brace quite often.

And the silhouette overall is inspired by the 80s, as, well, most of the things accociated with Ume. (Im unsure where most of the inspo comes from so I usually say 70s-80s so please don't shoot me if I mistake an era by accident).

The code name "Hime" or "Princess" comes form the fact that she can technically be considered a princess of the underworld due to her lineage. As well as Chiyoko loved playing as her teddy bear and making Ume the princess in their roleplaying, Ume loved it too as a kid. (Also I think Akechi would call her "princess" as a joke because Im silly and delusional)

I mentioned this in the tags in my first post but in my head the persona characters are functionally the owl house characters but I still want them to have their backstories and stuff and like i tweek the oh characters just a bit cos there are so many phantom thieves lol. so think of it as like a swap au but not really ok

Sojiro-> Eda

Futaba-> King

Ren/Akira-> Luz

Ryuji-> Gus

Makoto-> amity

Akechi-> amity/hunter

For yusuke Haru and morgana Im just straight up using their p5 backstories

Yusuke is a student at st. Epiderm and he’s in the illusion track (cos one it’s blue and two he can use it for creative stuff I believe in him) he’s still under the tutelage of maderame and he still steals yusukes and all of his students hard work and ren/akira and the gang (Ann, ryuji) have to take yusuke into maderame’s brain à la understanding willow and show him maderame’s true nature and he confronts maderame in his brain and kinda “changes his heart” huge air quotes

Haru is the daughter of potion coven head kunikazu okumura and she is very skilled in plant magic, but to uphold her fathers legacy she is put in the potions track (like willow omg) her father is kidnapped shortly before the day of unity, blame for his murder being put on the “phantom thieves” after he is found dead in a prison cell

Morgana is. In this one. An actual monster cat, he’s like the bipedal monsters in the show and he finds ren/akira not too long from when he falls into this world and “takes him under his wing” he’s in the baby class at hexide and uses his new ride to scare the other kids into doing things for him this is how ren/akira finds himself in hexide and finds the school endearing (he’s only seen the baby class)

Makoto is less of amity in the way that they’re rivals to lovers (unless you want that im open to it) but more of Makoto is the star student and a very skilled witch and ren and co are wreaking havoc all around campus

Ryuji- originally in the potions track but got lippy with the grudgby coach and got switched to the detention track

Akechi- emperors coven/ multi track in his school (favoritism 🙄) also peep the parallels to ren/akira

I imagine sojiro is in a coffee lovers coven or something that’d be really funny

p2 of the thieves as crepes

Finally finished this little project. All the thieves as crepes! part 1.

Headcanoning Persona 5 characters Mariokart mains, because I'm funny and I have way too much time to think about dumb things

Ren mains Shy Guy, usually green because he loves Kakyoin from JJBA. Mute City F-Zero is also his favorite Mariokart 8 track because of this.

Ryuji once said "I bet Ann plays Princess Peach", and Ann was so offended by the assumption that every time she intentionally takes Bowser before Ryuji can, so he has to pick his second favorite (Donkey Kong) instead. She doesn't even dislike Peach necessarily, she just never played Peach and was feeling petty.

Now, technically Ryuji could always just pick Dry Bowser- but unfortunately for him, Makoto always picks Dry Bowser, so he has no choice but to pick Bowser Jr, and he would rather just keep Donkey Kong.

Akechi doesn't really play Mariokart unless he's roped in by the group, so he never really had a main. The others kept throwing out suggestions for him to pick, and he kept shooting them down for various contrived reasons, only giving in because Futaba was the loudest and most obnoxious one shouting "Pick Yoshi". That's the day he became the Yoshi main.

Yusuke mains King Boo, and was extremely baffled and confused when Futaba blurted out "only sluts play King Boo" (Ann couldn't help but laugh at that).

Futaba would only play either Luigi or Waluigi, depending on her mood. Either way, she's a memelord about it.

Haru would be Daisy, because she's iconic and also they're very similar. Makoto pointed it out and Haru has picked Daisy every time ever since.

Morgana always picks Mario, but not just any Mario. Specifically Tanooki Mario. Everyone gave him a look, but he acted like this was perfectly normal behavior. If anyone brings up the resemblance, he will get extremely defensive.

Sumire almost exclusively played Rosalina, until one day she decided to pick Toadette out of nowhere. The group was kind of surprised, and she explained that she thinks it's cute, and never went back.

Zenkichi keeps refusing to play, and only gives in because Sumire is a sweetheart who suggests that he match her and pick Toad. He does, and it's funny as hell.

And finally, Sophia would pick Princess Peach, specifically Cat Peach with the pink car because it matches the colors. Before that she was just going to make a Mii of herself reluctantly, but Ann showed her Cat Peach and her eyes just lit up.

Realized something so funny about Yusuke while playing Strikers.

1. He suggests that the Phantom Thieves go to Kyoto on their vacation because he really wants an art tour, and he immediately gets vetoed. They then plan a barbecue, and he gets excited for that but then plans change when the Metaverse returns and they go on their road trip, so he gets deprived of that too. But every single time their vacation gets brought up he acts like these things are going to happen. "What about our Kyoto excursion" "our barbecue extravaganza" he is in his own little world where the Thieves listen to him. They actually do eventually go to Kyoto and he STILL doesn't get his art tour.

2. Zenkichi tells them that Alice Hiiragi went to the same school as the Thieves and Yusuke pipes up like "SHE WENT TO KOSEI HIGH??" Even though he is the only member of the Thieves who didn't go to Shujin Academy.

3. The scene where they discuss how they're going to go on their road trip without a vehicle and he announces that he has money like it's HIS MOMENT. Like it's the moment he's been waiting for his whole life, and Futaba responds "keep your snack money, Inari". Later he makes a comment about how he's gone from "rags to riches".

Every single case of this he gets the dramatic cut-in thing, so what I'm saying is Yusuke is convinced he's the main character through all of Strikers. Like he goes through the motions assuming the world will bend at his whimsy and the other Thieves just sigh and move on.

Hear me out- I was thinking about how in Strikers all the Thieves have different outfits, and notably Makoto seems to have become much more comfortable in her own skin and expressing herself that way. She's literally wearing a crop pleather jacket, and she ROCKS it. So what I'm saying is, if Haru tried pastel goth, she would be sold. She would be immediately and irreversibly sold and would never go back.

The funniest thing about this to me is thinking about this with makoharu. Whether or not you ship it, it's still funny to me that it's literally just:

Punk biker butch lesbian and her pastel goth plant girlfriend who chops firewood as a hobby and is also secretly a butch.

Like- they are practically a lesbian stereotype checklist, it's so funny to me. I love them so much
