Life in the refugee camp is incredibly harsh for our LGBTIQ community. We’re facing extreme shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and safe shelter. Each day is a fight for survival, and without basic necessities, it’s getting harder to hold on.
It’s difficult to ask for help, but we have no choice. We’re in a dire situation, and we need your support to make it through. my best friend layla made a fundraiser for her boyfriend giuseppe, who suffers from very severe me/cfs (myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome) and cci (craniocervical instability).
me/cfs is a severe neuroimmunological illness that often leaves the people who suffer from it housebound or bedridden. there is no cure for it yet and only a few doctors know how to treat it, most of them don't even know of its existence. that's why we depend on you sharing and donating this.
because of these illnesses, he might die. only two doctors in europe do surgery on me/cfs patients, who also suffer from cci, and they are located in spain. he will have to pay a special flight from italy, somewhere to stay and the surgery itself, and none of that is covered by insurance.
he is suffering so much. layla listed a few of his symptoms in his gofundme already, but the only thing he can (or is forced to) do is lie in a dark room with no stimuli AT ALL. no music, no light, no touch, not even being on the phone for too long, accompanied with tons of physical suffering as in pain or seizure-like symptoms. his suffering is not imaginable for people who don‘t have very severe me/cfs.
please read, share and donate. it‘s so very very urgent and a reblog would mean the world and could save his life. please help us, he needs to live.

Hello world, we're here begging for your help as LGBT refugees in kakuma refugee camp located in the turkana west of kenya, we have been in Kenya for four years of suffering up to now, all bad things happened to us and others lost lives. It's so unfortunate that right now Kenya doesn't want us anymore 💔, recently we had a dialogue with officials and they openly informed us that we're no longer accepted in Kenya and as am talking we're remaining 7 LGBT refugees in kakuma camp, unfortunately we haven't gotten any means of resources to help us relocate 💔 and any time soon they promised to check door to door, so we're all in fear of what may happen next! We need to raise 175,000ksh equivalent to 1,150USD.

if youre fine with sharing(and can even describe it), what does it physically feel like to have cancer?
Cancer is a terrible disease. Not only does every bone in my body ache, I hear and see things as a permanent side effect of the first chemotherapy regimen I was on. It sucks every bit of energy from you, even though you just want to go out and be a 27 year old again. You physically can barely move.
It robbed me of my job. I was a successful social worker working at a children’s hospital. I can barely feed myself (on the days I wish to have something small) because it stole my financial security. Now I live on disability making $800 a month. I’m not saying this to make people feel bad, I just want people to know how astronomically cancer destroys lives.
It robbed me of stable mental health. Nowadays I just cry because most of my friends prior to cancer have given up on coming to see me. They have given up normal conversations about my interests and made it about pitying my situation, yet not putting in any effort. I now have clinical depression and severe anxiety from going through so much treatment and trauma. My partner broke up with me near the beginning of my journey because they found it was too much. When we talked about it at the end, there was no consideration about how I felt.
It robbed me of doing anything a 27 year old should or could be doing. One of the biggest things it has robbed me of is going to the Eras Tour to see my idol @taylorswift live or meeting her one day. It has robbed me of going to see My Chemical Romance live. It gets to the point where you can’t do anything but lay in your bed and just hope one day things will change.
It has robbed me not just of my physical health, but my livelihood. That’s so important to acknowledge when talking and/or loving someone with cancer. Thank you for asking. ❤️
Brother with Cerebral Palsy and Mental Health Challenges Living In A Shelter After Being Illegally Evicted and Assaulted By His Landlord
Hi everyone. I am making this post again in a last ditch effort to get the support my brother so desperately needs. On approximately Nov. 27th, 2024, my brother was illegally evicted (without proper notices) for the landlord to move in a family member. When my brother started asking questions, the landlord forcibly removed him from the premises.
As it stands right now, disability is refusing to pay first and lasts on a new apartment because it hasnt been a year since he received it to move into the residence in question. This eviction has taken a toll on my brothers mental health. He has schizophrenia and severe anxiety and functions at a 10th grade level. My mom nor I can take him in because we live in rent geared to income housing and theyre extremely strict about having no more tenants than those stipulated on the lease.'

Hello!!! My name’s Madison, you’ve probably seen my posts on here before fundraising for my friend krish, or for Yazid’s orphanage. But this time, I’m posting because I need help.
My brother, Kyle, has struggled with his mental health severely his entire life. His autism is a struggle for him especially, as it causes many people to misunderstand him or be cruel towards him. He has been diagnosed with many, many mental illnesses, such as manic depression, cluster b personality, possible BPD, anxiety, psychotic tendencies, ADHD, severe OCD, and some very, very strong C-PTSD from endless abuse in his life. He is also a recovering heroin/other dugs addict, and recovering alcoholic. He is also has strong suicidal tendencies. I’m terrified if he ends up in the streets, he will turn to drugs or alcohol again, or worse. He can’t handle being on the streets. And i can’t handle almost losing him again.
If I had a stable home environment, I’d just take him here. But unfortunately that is not possible. I’m going to get a job to help, but it’ll be difficult with my MS. But i can do it, if i try my best!!!!
Please, please help my brother if you can! He is so kind, brilliant, and had just gotten on his feet after a year of recovery after a relapse. He deserves a future, he deserves love, and he deserves to feel safe. This is me begging for your help. Kyle is an absolutely wonderful person, my familial soulmate! He is so kind, and I know he’s going to help SO many people throughout life. He already has, and has made me who I am.
Hotels are expensive where he is, even the motel he stayed in that had a gunfight outside, so he is hoping to save $2000 total to get lodging until he gets paid enough to get a place.

I am trying to get out of my city and into temporary accommodation after running from an abusive relationship. My abuser has my belongings and the relationship has left me penniless, homeless, and in need until I can afford somewhere safe and far away, find a new job, and source a lawyer.
I was only able to make around £10 from a very kind person who saw my post whom I do not know. She helped me get something to eat, yesterday.

Currently, the fundraising goal has been met by 10%. I hope we can continue raising that bar all the way up to 100%.

Emergency Commissions
One of my checks was a couple of days late last week, and the more lucrative of my 2 proper jobs has given me only one day of work this week (seems to be system issue?? I'm waiting for a reply from my higher up, there seems to be a queue of sorts) I have no idea when I'm going to get my check this week, either. Although it's supposed to come in on Tuesdays, I have heard from coworkers it is likely to be delayed again. On top of all of this, I have had wifi issues for a week, and I work from home.
I was already going to have to do some commissions to make rent this month before the reduced work hours and wifi issues. I have to pay rent on Saturday, and I do not get a grace period. I cannot emphasize how screwed me, and both of my disabled roommates are if my check doesn't come in on time, which is apparently not likely to happen.
I am setting this goal for $600 which is how much I am going to need for rent if my check does not go through in time. I will update this post accordingly, and turn off rbs if I get my check before rent is due, but tbh if i thought that was happening I wouldn't be making this post.
