A New year started, 2087 such a great new beggining.
The holidays spent with the people we care of,and of course the gifts from auntie Mariana and Aunt Choo where the most interesting ones for Daniel Junior, Choo's gift was an envelope that had a holo-card inside
-."Daniel ,you are old enough to do as you please with this,just don't do anythibg stupid.Love you, merry christmas".-
That's what her holocard said, and on the side a seven hundred holo-check for the boy to use as he pleased, Auntie Mariana, on the other hand was spending the holidays on her natal country, and her gift, consisted in a huge package preciously wrapped in rainbow paper and a white ribbon, the holocard on it said:
-." I hope you are having a great holyday with your father, i sent you your favorites, love you merry christmas daniel "
Inside the package there where tons and tons of candy that where from Mariana's homecountry.
Daniel looked as his son went through his gifts with enthusiasm,he knew his boy wasn't a little boy anymore, but he couldn't help but to see that baby boy he used to hold in his arms.
Christmas, what a holiday, what a day, people on the last minute following consumism and buying anything and everything as if attempting to fill a growing void on themselves.
Others, see this night as a day dedicated to meditation and family celebrations, some spend it Alone and others in company of those who love.
Daniel had been trying to ignore the news all day, keeping the proyector disconected. But seeing his son so happy and joyfull with the presents and cards from friends and family was helping with it.
The last elections were less than favorable they had been apparently porpusley advanced, and it was happening again, aliens were being targeted again , blamed for all the evils in society.
Even when every living ,thinking, and breathing being is actually able of evil.
His mind drifted once again, to the past, to what he was in the end unable to change; because he was a child when it happened , it was out of his grasp to do anything and even when it wasn't his doing he felt guilt and shame, on humanity's behalf, on the earth's behalf.
Now he was an adult and Yet he felt as helpless as he did when he was a mere child.
But he had to be strong, for His friends, for His son.
Because he couldn't just not care.
He Is a mother
He is a father
He Is a friend
He Is a son
He Is a brother.
Daniel smiled at his son happy for the Man he Is becoming, and happy for the child he once was,suddenly the christmas lights seemed brighter and warmer.
Daniel Junior was becoming a Man, 17 years old now.surrounded by friends, good grades not excellent but not bad either.
The boy talked with Knife, the elder yautja weekly, and he had made descion, to travel to Yautja Prime and train further in the ways of the warrior and hunter.
He was one year and two months away, of the day he would leave, and even if for the boy seemed yet a long wait, for Daniel, His father, it was very , very little time.

POV: Your Lex just trying to survive an ancient pyramid made for an alien species of warrior hunter’s rite of passage, when the last surviving member of the Predator’s hunting party she needs to convince to team up with her decides to make her a cool gift.
In honor of Predator 2’s Birthday I wanna state that it’s not only the best sequel in the franchise, it’s also one of the best sequels ever made. And if I really wanted to drop a hot take I’d make the case it’s better than the first movie, but that’s a topic for another day.
Guys, Prey is so fucking good.
An article title so good I almost forgive them for ranking The Predator higher than Predator 2.
Seriously though, Predator 2 is objectively the best of the Predator sequels.
Here's a bird that took me completely by surprise. (Content warning for a predator eating/carrying prey. I've put the more graphic pics below the cut.) Last week I was working at my dining room table, waiting for a plumber to show up. I glanced out the window and saw this Cooper's Hawk land on the neighbor's roof.

Of course, I immediately jumped up and grabbed my camera. Based on the smaller size and the bluish tint to the wings, I figure the Hawk was male. I noticed right away that he was bending down to pick apart and eat something. I couldn't tell what he was eating, but I could see lots of black and grey feathers scattered about.

He stuck around for several minutes, which gave me some time to find a good position and adjust my settings to compensate for the overcast skies. (Picture me standing on a dining room chair, slightly crouched to line lens up with the top edge of the window.)

Just as I was taking another burst, the Hawk did a little hop to get a better grip on his meal. Go ahead and scroll past this last photo if you'd rather not see the remains of what appears to be a Downy Woodpecker. All I knew in the moment was that I had held the shutter button through the whole sequence. It was only later while processing photos that I could make out enough detail on the prey for a possible ID.

Just after that, the Hawk flew off between the houses and was gone. It made me a little sad to think that one of our regular feeder visitors was now somebody's lunch, but it's somewhat comforting to think that our neighborhood must have a fairly healthy ecosystem. At least we have enough small birds and other prey around to convince the raptors to keep coming back to their favorite hunting grounds!
So here's a fun one. I was up in Eagle River, WI at a friend's lake house this past September. We were out on the pontoon boat tooling around and enjoying the day. I had my 4-year-old kid on my lap when the driver says, "Bald Eagle, right ahead!"
The bird flew right over the top of the boat, maybe 50 feet up. I just barely managed to get it in frame directly above us, with my kid acting as a counterweight to keep me from tipping over backward.

so i had a big day out cosplaying as my yautja Outis met one of my biggest heroes Adam savage and another yautja whose name i didn't get unfortunately, and also yes... i couldn't find a big monster girlfriend so i became one...
ive said a few times that im making a cosplay for Outis my yautja oc but i ive not posted any photos on tumbler. i have most of the build so far posted up on my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/blakes.cosplay/ for those that want to see. ive just got the paint job mostly done now and im going to add all the dreds in the next day or 2
okay so the intrusive thoughts won and you all get some yautja OC butt i couldn't think of another way to show how thicc, caked up, meaty, plump Outis is. like whole handfuls would do a front view as well but that might get me in trouble here also the dangers of showering with a partner the first time this happened just confused Outis "i don't think you know how bathing works "
okay so i finally have a name for my main yautja oc and felt like at least sketching her out again Outis as in Nobody in Ancient Greek as the clan inherit there names she will eventually take the name Athena after the clan elder and Outis's mother "Minerva" pass , or she proves herself worthy of it (at that point the elder will take the name Atrytone or one of Athena's other names ) a xeno queen or yautja xeno are a sure bet to earn one of the divine names but other more exotic hunts are a option. also more typical yautja names are used in the clan but the direct descendants use this naming tradition
felt like drawing my yatja in more of a action pose a bit more inline with how my cosplay of her is coming along
still pretty rough but and could use a pose and lineart tweak or 2
this has been living in my monster lover brain for a while but i have been to stressed to draw it till now. the BIG SPOON yautja so with a king sized bed 5'11 human and 8'6 yautja the scale is pretty much right. these 2 really need to get some custom furniture made finding a place with high ceilings was easy enough door frames are still a issue though. and gotta hold your human space heater close through out the night
just getting some ideas out of my head for my OC clan some ancient Greek yautja. athena and zeus are still around today as clan elders and Medusa is the granddaughter and inherited the name medusa has a micro dart launcher built in to her bio mask, with a chemical that upon contact calcifies flesh turning it to bone, she likes her trophies to still have faces. tho the chemicals can be swapped out for the normal yautja acids if need be shy, likes to stay hidden and at range if she can, has never won a hand to hand combat sparing match during training, tho has the longest undetected stealth and infiltration streak amongst her generation in the clan, is often sent on gear retrieval and clean up hunts .
Athena, the typical yautja but with a bit more of a motherly side, will make you train for hours but will also cook you dinner and and make sure you rest up enough and get a good sleep
zeus, hes a big old dude, the oldest in the clan by far doesn't really have the endurance to hunt anymore (can and will lift a car to show hes "still got it" ), will shoot at uninvited space craft entering his clans territory... old man with a shotgun sitting on the porch kinda vibes but a yautja with a plasma cannon ( thats a cannon yautja weapon in the comics btw) and has the best stories. unfortunately dose take after the name sake in some not so good ways as well.
I'm not really happy with this i am way to out of practices, especially doing colours and backgrounds. this all just came from me noticing that Yautja can see the colours of the filters in the bio masks heat and other vision types, but with the bio mask off its all just blown out shades of red, so my thinking is they can see the full colour spectrum but the IR light overlaps and washes out all other colours. did they need to be in a lesbian relationship... not really, but i did it anyway and fuck it one of them is trans HAHAHAH (damn my bi monster fucker brain making self insert OCs)
working on "wholesome" big gay yautja x human mini comic just cos the yautja fandom here is horny as hell but its pride month so why not join in little :P also as i am mid cosplay build for this Yautja drawing them actually really helps me get a vibe for poses and personality i will try to convey when i cosplay them also need to do something for my VTM characters as well soon
welp i have a predator OC now ive actually been working on a cosplay for her for over a month now and planing a Yautja cosplay for over 2 years. this is actually the first time ive really thought about her armour this is still only rough but i am really liking the vibe of it all also i really need to do a modern casual look for her cos Yautja in human outfits is just cool to me
