And that was Art Fight! These were all a ton of fun to draw. I can only hope I can keep up the same speed for like. my own characters and projects. But ey regardless, good month! 40 attacks! And 27 back at me! WHICH IS A LOT! Thanks so much to everyone who attacked me- I am now stricken with the deep desire to print them all out and hang them on my wall. Here's to next year- and good luck with everything 'till then!
Playing the Frostbite mod and I found a pup in the silent construct. Most cycles when the Sacrifice wakes up, the pup is clinging to them or jumping on top of them. Something about a creature that's so deeply distressed and marching towards its inevitable death finding some semblance of comfort near the end... well it's getting to me.
Here's the pup, their name is Ghost

I am so tired but also disappointed I couldn't keep up 2 a day. Eh well, this was plenty of fun. Helped me feel normal kinda? Idk. Helped give me some routine. And a confidence boost. My art is sick and that is a fact I am proud of. I like making things that make people happy. It's neat.

Using this ask as an excuse to draw my head canon that when Hunter fails to ascend, the void worms take pity on them. Instead of turning Hunter into an echo, they allow them to be reincarnated back where they were created—NSH’s can. Then Hunter and NSH live out their many lives together as besties until the Saint comes and finds them :)

This is a masterpost for a group oc project where anyone can make and add a slugcat to become a part of this collab colony!
The idea is that you can reblog this post or send a submission to me with your slugcat design for this colony and we as a community can slowly build lore together!
Some basic info about this colonies region:
Over many cycles this land has used the rain to outgrow it's previous structures and has turned into something akin to a jungle, mangrove forest or swamp.
deep beneath the abundance of wildlife however, you can enocunter the remains of the ancients cities long before the iterators, and the structures they built afterwards. who knows if anything down there still works, but it could be worth a shot.
iterators are as per usual scattered around! i have no plans for any named ones currently but if you don't want to submit a slugcat, you may submit an iterator instead!
this is a spreadsheet I'm going to be updating with info on every slugcat submitted, so you know who created what
Truth be told, you don't even have to follow any of the basic lore i just gave you there! this is a group project you're free to add as you please so long as it doesn't dimish others work.

Eh, I’ve had this guy lying around in my sketchbook for a while with no plans for what to do with ‘em- plus I didn’t see anyone else submit an Iterator yet, so why not!
This is Acts of Kindness, or AOK (pun intended). An iterator on their last legs who, by all means, should be dead or catatonic by now- were it not for a small tribe of scavengers who either grew fond of them and/or like to use them as a movie projector- depending on how you look at it. They filled the chamber with pearls for Acts to read and their Overseers to project visuals- an activity that the scavengers quite enjoy. Besides pearls, they do give Acts gifts from time to time- most notably their patched together clothes and some neuron flies (to this day Acts is not sure where they got the them and is mildly concerned) but Acts is just grateful for the odd situation they’ve found themselves in, naming themself after that which keeps them here, and speaks kindly to their new friends (even though few to none of them actually understand what they’re saying)
Their overseers are notably very protective of Acts, and that extends to those who treat them well. They were the ones who more or less negotiated the scavengers into bringing Acts clothes/neurons, and they occasionally go out alongside a scavenger to guide them to some pearls, items for Acts, or just to keep an eye out for ‘em.
I am not sure what their gender is. I’ll figure it out eventually- probably. And maybe draw them digitally with color n’ all- apologies I’m moving around a lot today and don’t know when I’ll have time to sit down and draw- so just a sketchbook pic for now!

Welcome to Cloudcat Finds Out Which Sentient Calculator Is The Dumbest! Or, stupid sentient supercomputers for short.
Inspired by @waybacks-swag-awards and @battleofthewawas, this tournament will be featuring Rain World iterator OCs!
...But there's a catch.
This is a tournament on stupidity. You will be voting for the least intelligent character!
So, if you want to see your iterator get thoroughly roasted by Rain World tumblr, or perhaps saved from such humiliation at the cost of losing, jump right in!
Rules under the cut.
1. DO NOT SUBMIT OTHER PEOPLE'S OCs. This should be obvious.
2. OCs ONLY! No alternate versions of canon characters, no canon characters in any way, this is ONLY for OCs!
3. This is a RAIN WORLD tournament! If your OC is not an iterator from Rain World, then do not submit them.
4. Do not submit your characters multiple times. This will NOT affect your chances of getting in, it will only annoy me. ALL CHARACTERS SUBMITTED WILL BE FEATURED IN THE BRACKET within the criteria.
5. If you feel one of my own OCs belongs in this bracket, feel free to submit them, but remember rule #1. My characters are the only exception to this rule as I will not put them in the bracket by default.
6. Make sure your characters actually have something that makes them stupid! If you just put something like "there's not much that makes [blank] stupid", then I will not include them.
7. Remember that this is a FRIENDLY tournament. Do not harass or attempt to put down other creators, please! This is purely for fun.

Some proper ref for my slugcat OC- The Dullahan (asw as a Rainworld style test). This was fun
She has the delightful ability to launch her own head off upon taking a lethal amount of damage, leaving her body to release pheremones that attract other predators to it. Creates a great diversion for her to get out of dodge- even if it leaves her with no limbs for a bit.
Rainworld is cool and slugcats are rad therefore OC. This gal's the Dullahan, a scug based on the elysia marginata slug (that one sea slug that decapitates itself when its body is infected with parasites). Her main gimmick is that when she takes a lethal amount of damage, she can projectile launch her head off of her body- leaving the decapitated carcass to produce hormones that attract all predators in the area and take their attention firmly off of her head.
As a head, she can worm about and do not a lot, but upon eating something she'll regenerate her body to the size of a slugpup for the rest of the cycle, and after hibernating she fully regrows. (Note: she can't eject her head off her body as a slugpup, that's a once per cycle skill).
This girl queen's campaign is just about finding somewhere safe to settle down and have some pups- as it's kinda hard to do that when your only defense mechanism is destroying most of your body, and in an environment as dangerous as Rainworld, you need to use any defenses you have.
