Hey guys,
I'm posting one more time about the survey for my research paper! The paper is on racial, gender, and disability representation in comic-book movies and anyone willing to participate would help me out a ton!!
The survey doesn't take longer than 15 minutes to complete and is totally anonymous. I'd love to have as diverse of a group of voices as possible so whoever you are, wherever you're from, whatever age you are, I want to hear your opinion! Please feel free to reblog and share!
Thank you to EVERYONE who has already volunteered to take it. I'm honestly surprised my teacher let me choose this subject to write about and so I really want to nail it. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
@baguettiquette That's true. But if you google curly and bushy hair you can actually see quite a bit of difference between the picture with white and black people in it. There's even a picture of Emma during in The Philosopher's Stone and it looks just frizzy in comparison? But yeah, of course you can have all types of hair! @squeegeeyourthirdeye I have also never seen a black person with blue eyes but I do have an internet connection and the ability to type in any search engine. I would also like to point out that in I never said you had a problem with poc. You are getting defensive for no reason. I also only made one post about this subject, apart from answering you, so I would appreciate you not telling me to get over something that I started talking about ten minutes ago. I am very sorry if the fact that I feel like that the Harry Potter movies could've use more of a diverse cast, especially considering Angelina Jonhson was all but cut off completely and the origibal Lavender Brown was replaced by a white actress, makes you either uncomfortable or guilty, judging by your slightly condescending and defensive reponse (and I also apologize if I'm wrong about that aswell, but I can only form opinions based on the information available to me), but if you do like my stance on tgis subject you are more than welcome to stop interacting with me. We can't always agree with each other. I would also like to say that I have nothing against Emma. I think she did a brilliant job while being so young and inexperienced. I think she has a lot of traits that are very similar to Hermione's, personality wise, and that, as a person, she was probably one of the very best choices to play that character on screen. I'm only pointing out that she doesn't look like the Hermione I picture in my head when I read the books. And the fact that there's probably a lot of little girls out there that read the books and saw the same thing I did, girls that maybe wanted to see themselves represented in the HP universe, probably felt disappointed, that's kund of sad. So, no, I'm not going to "get over it". My cousins are just as deserving of that representation as your sister, except they almost never get that. Oh, and plays are not readily available to the public like movies are, you know. A lot less people have the opportunity to see them. I know my cousins haven't seen it.

She makes me so happy
Like, she’s Lawyer Barbie. She isn’t fat Barbie or a Barbie that has anything to do with food. No, she’s smart and secure and a lawyer.

Hey also if anyone has some aro/ace/aroace book rece for stories that aren’t ABOUT being aroace but still include it? I just want to see some rep without it being the entire plot. I want to see myself in characters that aren’t defined by being aroace but also see and accept their aro/aceness.
I need some Ace or Aro / AroAce book recommendations!
I've read Loveless and cried at it so many times just relating to it so much.
So please send me recommendations!!
