The actor Richard Burton playing Richard Burton. People will understand that actors of his generation are completely different than actors today. The exception of course is the actor trained on the stage as he was. Yet even these actors are not of his caliber. He makes the most mundane of topics into a drama. Today Hollywood actors are not as interesting. Nor do they even feel obliged to behave in a civil manner with the press or fans. I don’t think they even come close to this legend.
