sorry anon, it was something I had thought about wayyy back when I started writing this story. But now I've realized that I can't really see Aurelian or SC being okay with it. They aren't keen on sharing MC. 😭

Blushing, he looked away, a hand instinctively rising to cover his mouth, his ears turning a deeper shade of red with each passing second. The unexpected gesture had left him momentarily speechless, his mind racing to find a response.

"You and your tricks..." Aurelian finally managed to utter, his voice carrying a mix of surprise and fondness. The room filled with the sweet sound of MC's laughter, their joy infectious.

Aurelian couldn't help but join in, his embarrassment fading into a warm, lighthearted moment between them.

Elara:

Elara had been eagerly waiting for this moment. She had meticulously planned a date with MC, taking them to her cherished spot in the forest by the river. The setting was perfect, with sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting a soft, ethereal glow on the surroundings. Every detail had been carefully noted to ensure perfection, from the picnic blanket adorned with wildflowers to the basket filled with their favorite treats.

As MC leaned their head on Elara's shoulder, her heart fluttered with excitement. The gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying a sense of serenity and anticipation.

Suddenly, she heard MC's voice calling her name, and she turned to see their face drawing nearer, adorned with a beaming smile. A wave of warmth enveloped her as she instinctively moved closer, her lips parting ever so slightly, ready for a tender kiss.

"What? Were you expecting something else, silly?" MC playfully tilted their head, their smile radiating affection.

Elara blinked, processing the unexpected gesture, her mind caught between the initial anticipation and the sweetness of the moment. She couldn't help but chuckle, a soft, joyous sound escaping her lips.

"Yes... but it was the sweetest surprise," Elara finally responded, her own smile brimming with warmth and happiness.

Kazuo:

Kazuo perked up at the sound of approaching footsteps. As he turned around, still in the midst of polishing his sword, his eyes lit up with delight. It was MC, and they had come to find him.

The weariness etched to their face didn’t go unnoticed by Kazuo. Setting aside his sword, he noticed MC rubbing their neck while letting out a weary sigh. It was clear they had just completed a difficult mission.

Filled with concern, Kazuo patted the chair in front of him, silently inviting MC to take a seat and rest their body.

"Here, this will help," he said, rising from his own seat and beginning to knead MC's back with skilled hands. As MC winced in pain, they called out to Kazuo, beckoning him to come closer.

Kazuo leaned in, expecting a sweet kiss. To his surprise, MC planted a gentle peck on his forehead, their lips barely grazing his skin. The unexpected gesture caught him off guard, and he blinked in astonishment.

"Haha! You were expecting something else—Ouch!" MC playfully teased, their voice turning into a yelp of surprise as Kazuo tightened his grip on their shoulder.

"Stay still..." Kazuo closed his eyes, continuing the massage, his face showing a subtle blush. MC rolled their eyes in adoration.

Aiden/Ava:

"You better run, or I'm going to gobble you up!" A exclaimed, their hands raised like a playful monster, sprinting towards one of the nearby children who burst into laughter. A began tickling the child, accompanied by silly eating noises as if they had devoured their small friend.

Amidst the cheerful chaos, A heard a familiar chuckle behind them. They paused, turning around swiftly, their face lighting up with joy. MC stood there, a sight that never failed to elicit a beaming smile from A. The distance between them seemed to shrink as MC crouched down, meeting A's gaze.

As MC leaned closer, their lips gently brushed against A's forehead, surprising them with a tender kiss. "You were expecting something else, weren't you?" MC playfully teased, a mischievous grin adorning their face.

However, MC's playful moment abruptly shifted to astonishment as A enveloped them in a warm bear hug, holding them tightly. "I love you! I love you! I love you so much!" A exclaimed, peppering MC's face with affectionate kisses. MC blushed, their face glowing with warmth, not anticipating this burst of adoration.

"Okay! Okay! Stoppp—" MC managed to utter amidst laughter.

SC:

MC had a plan, determined to finally catch SC off guard after all this time of being the one teased and tricked. Nodding to themselves, MC called out for SC, repeating their name several times, but there was no sign of them.

Concern began to creep into MC's mind as they searched every nook and cranny, their anxiety growing. Suddenly, a voice sent a shiver down their spine. "Boo..." SC seductively whispered in MC's ear.

Startled, MC swiftly turned around, their eyebrows furrowing. Standing just inches away was SC, their laughter filling the air as they held their stomach, wiping tears of amusement from their eyes.

"Oh, sweet MC, I'll never tire of teasing you." Frustration welled up within MC, and without hesitation, they grabbed SC, pulling them closer with force.

SC's eyes widened in surprise, but they quickly regained their composure. "A kiss? Hmm..." SC slyly smiled, expecting something more.

However, to their surprise, MC countered with a swift kiss on the forehead. "You were expecting something else? Who's laughing now?" MC smirked, a sense of pride evident in their achievement.

SC chuckled, shaking their head in amusement. “ My dear MC, we’re just getting started. Let the game truly begin.”

Their response left MC slightly sweating in regret.

No worries! 💗 I don't think I mentioned the reasons why they're red flags. So, the two red flags are Aurelian and Soul Collector.

Aurelian

Aurelian is very possessive and controlling when it comes to things he considers "his." Some of this behavior stems from his upbringing. 🤔 He is the one who betrayed MC and imprisoned them, due to his selfishness or other reasons. His behavior raises many questions. However, when you delve deeper into his story, you'll find that he does tone it down for MC.

Soul Collector

They literally want MC's soul. What more can I say? 🤭 Not only that, but they are very protective, almost possessive, of MC. You might argue it's solely because they want MC's soul, but is there more to it than meets the eye? They're also decisive and tricky; it's hard to tell if they're being truthful or if it's just another trick for their own plans.

Ah the classic dilemma: do I want the absolute bastard red flag bearing RO or the RO that is deep in my soul and not my guts yet? 🤔

He felt like the world was moving too fast, with thoughts and emotions flowing through his mind.

MC's breath came in ragged gasps. "Aurelian," their voice barely a whisper, and Aurelian leaned in closer to hear them. "Thank you..."

Aurelian felt a lump in his throat as he looked at MC's fading eyes. He couldn't help the tears that streamed down his face.

"Don't speak," he whispered, his voice breaking. "You're going to be okay. I won't let you die." But even as he said those words, Aurelian knew they were a lie.

He tried to heal them, but MC's injuries were too severe, and there was nothing he could do to save them.

"Please don't leave me," he begged, his voice quivering in desperation. "I need you, MC. Please come back to me. I can't live without you."

MC's eyes closed for the final time.

Elara:

Elara always knew that this world was dangerous and that great risks lurked in the shadows. But she had never imagined that one day, she would be holding the almost lifeless body of MC.

Tears streamed down Elara's face as she cradled MC in her arms. "Why did you take this mission?" she whispered, her voice filled with anguish. "You knew the risks."

"I wish you had listened to me. I wish I could have protected you better," she continued, her voice cracking with emotion.

MC's eyes fluttered open, their gaze cloudy and unfocused. "Elara," they said weakly, blood flowing out of their mouth. "Don't blame yourself. This was my choice."

"No! It wasn't supposed to end like this. You were supposed to come back with me," she cried, her voice raw and broken.

MC's hand weakly reached up, touching Elara's cheek. "I'm sorry," they whispered.

Elara clutched MC's hand, her tears falling onto their skin. "Don't leave me," she pleaded. "Please, don't go. I love you."

MC smiled weakly, their eyes closing for the final time. Elara held them close, her heart shattering into a million pieces.

Kazuo:

Kazuo lay there as MC was dying in his arms, the blood on his hands and the tears streaming down his face a testament to the pain he felt.

"MC, please, please, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay," he whispered, his body shaking uncontrollably.

MC's eyes were closed, and their breathing was shallow. Kazuo could feel their life slipping away, and he didn't know how to stop it.

He wanted to make it stop. He wanted the blood to stop flowing. He wanted everything to just stop.

"I'm sorry," MC managed to say between coughs. "I couldn't... protect you."

Kazuo's heart ached at those words. "What do you mean?! You saved me! You saved my life! And now I can't even save yours..." His voice broke and shook from pain.

MC's hand weakly reached up to hold his hand. "I'm glad... I'm..." Their breath grew even more labored, and their hand fell back to their side.

"No, no, no," he cried out. "Don't... don't. Please, speak to me."

But it was too late. MC's breathing stopped, and their hand went limp in Kazuo's grasp.

He let out a scream of agony.

He held MC's lifeless body tightly, not wanting to let go. "I love you," he whispered into MC's ear.

“I’ll always love you.”

Aiden/Ava:

A rushed over to MC and held them in their arms, their heart racing with fear. "Why did this happen? No, everything is going to be okay," A shakily rambled as they tried to stop the bleeding.

Soft, shallow breathing came from MC. They were fading fast. A was trembling with shock and denial. The wound was too severe, they had lost too much blood. They didn't know what to do.

Breaking them from their shock, a bloody hand was on their cheek. MC smiled weakly, their eyes filled with love and tears. "Thank you... for everything."

Tears streamed down A's face non-stop. They tried to speak, but their mouth was dry.

"You can't leave me. I love you. I love you so much," they managed to say.

But it was too late. MC's pulse stopped, and their hand went limp.

A's heart felt like it was being ripped out of their chest. They had never felt this much pain and emptiness.

"Why did you have to die?" A questioned, tears falling onto MC's skin.

They held MC's body tightly, feeling like they were holding onto the only thing left in the world that mattered.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry that I couldn't save you... I’m so sorry."

Aurelian: save MC without hesitation.

Elara: I don't think she could make such a difficult decision.

Kazuo: save MC. Loyal to the end.

Aiden/Ava: the decision will be difficult for them as well, and it will depend on the situation. They may choose to save MC, or remain with MC and face the same fate.

SC: save MC.

When MC and RO started a relationship or when they are close to becoming a couple.

What if our MC, which has been feeling numb for a long time. At some point in the conversation, they will fall silent, pat their own body in search of something, after which they will look into the eyes of RO and say: "Oh my God, is this a desire to live? Did you do that?". As a semi- joke.

What will be the reaction of the RO?

Elara:

Elara’s eyes widen in surprise, and for a moment, she is unsure of how to respond. But then, she sees the glint of hope in MC eyes, the spark of life that she thought was lost forever. And she will do everything in her power to help MC hold onto that feeling.

Elara reaches out and gently caresses MC’s cheek, her touch tender and loving. MC looks at her with surprise, but there is a warmth in their eyes that indicates that they welcome the gesture.

So I kind of merged the two questions together:

Aurelian: from a young age, Aurelian was shaped by his parents troubled marriage, which left him feeling disillusioned and resentful towards love.

As the heir to the throne, he was fully dedicated to his duties and responsibilities, leaving little room for thoughts of love and romance.

In fact, he struggled to distinguish between his desire for control and his genuine feelings of love for the things and people he cared about. So that made Aurelian have a complex relationship with the concept of love, and struggles to recognize it when he encounters it.

Elara: despite prioritizing her studies and interests, Elara always remained hopeful that she will find the one.

Growing up with books and studying, she never found much time for romantic relationships, but deep down she yearns for a deep and meaningful connection with someone who shares her love of knowledge.

She dreams of finding someone who can keep up with her intellectually and who will challenge her to be her best self.

Whenever she meets someone who shows even the slightest interest in her passions, she eagerly seizes the opportunity to befriend them.

While she may not believe in love at first sight per se, she is open to the possibility of experiencing a powerful and immediate connection with someone special.

Kazuo: for Kazuo, love is not something that can be rushed or taken lightly. Aiden/Ava: since they were young, they have always been prone to “puppy love”— that instant crush on someone who helped them up after a fall or made them laugh. But while their feelings may come quickly, they don’t take love lightly.

They have a natural tendency to befriend people and have formed many close relationships throughout their life.

But even as they enjoy these connections, A still hold out hope that there is someone out there who will love and care for them in a way that no one else ever has.

What are the ROs love languages?

Aurelian:

1- Gifts: whether you're romancing Aurelian or just having a platonic relationship with him, he will gift you lots of presents that MC loves. For instance, if they were in the market and MC showed interest in something, the next day it might be outside your door. ;)

2- Words of affirmation: this boy will compliment MC every time they are alone, "Did I ever tell you that I love your eyes?" And then sneakily proceed to kiss MC's eyes. (sneaky snake)

3- Physical touch: the thing he loves most receiving from MC is hugs. It may sound simple, but in reality, it has a big impact on him for reasons that will be revealed in the next chapters. ;)

Elara:

1- Quality time: Elara loves and treasures every single moment she spends with MC, whether they are having a quick conversation or taking a walk together. She appreciates it when MC comes to her while she's studying something new that interests her, and MC just sits somewhere close, picking up a book or just relaxing.

2- Words of affirmation: this is sweet Elara we are talking about; she absolutely loves to give MC encouragement if they feel down or actively listen to them. (😩)

Kazuo:

1- Act of service: he is ferociously loyal and always tries to help MC in any way he can. He always looks out for MC when they go hunting or finishing a task. If MC was injured in a hunt, Kazuo would go out of his way to help them and stay beside them until they get better.

2- Quality time: Kazuo appreciates any moment with MC, especially when they're training together. He loves seeing MC in their fighting mood.

3- Physical touch: Kazuo won't be too pushy or clingy with his touch. He will just hold MC if they get stuck or injured. When he is in his lycan form, he loves to gently rub his cheek against MC's cheek when MC pats him behind his ears.

Aiden/Ava:

1- Physical touch: they absolutely adore any touch from MC, whether it's holding hands while walking or snuggling with MC. They will do anything for more kisses and cuddles from MC. (Their life motto is: kisses and cuddles any free time)

2- Words of affirmation: they will make you go crazy with how much they compliment and praise you for any simple thing you do. If someone accidentally bumps into MC and they help them up, A will praise MC until they die from embarrassment.

3- Gifts: when A comes back from a job they had (stealing, lol), you bet they will always come back with something extra just for MC. "A…where did you get that from?" You looked at them suspiciously.

"…" A averted their eyes from you, looking at the floor, the wall, the ceiling—anything but you. (🥺)

SC:

1- Physical touch: they will always, I mean always, find a way to tease and seduce you in any manner they can think of. Their brain is just full of two things (MC, bed). MC might need to scold them. 😔

2- Act of service: they always find a way to help MC, but is it for their satisfaction or something else? 👀

You know...your really careful of hiding soul collector makes me curious on what you have in store for this IF👀. Also if everyday mc gives Ros a kiss in the cheek what if one day mc forgets about it how would the ros react about that?

Aurelian: Ah, yes, we all know Aurelian is a spoiled child who craves attention and adoration like a cat craves tuna. If MC forgets to give him a kiss on the cheek, he'll likely pout, sulk, and sigh so loudly you'd think there was a hurricane outside. Meanwhile, MC may be confused by Aurelian's behavior ("what's up with him?" 🤨) but they will eventually realize what's going on and sneak around him to give him a quick peck on the cheek, even if he's crossing his arms and facing away from them.

Or, MC could choose to playfully tease Aurelian, which may lead to him becoming more upset and storming out of the room in a huff, while pouting. MC: snickering. >:)

Aurelian:

Elara: Elara will notice the absence of the kiss immediately. Her hand will go to her cheek, and she will look around in confusion. She will start thinking 'What happened? Are they okay?' and she will start pacing around the room.

And then, MC will burst into the room, with a sheepish expression on their face, hurrying over to her side. "I'm so sorry Elara." ( 😰)

She will smile warmly, taking MC's hand in hers. MC will sigh with relief, and will they lean in and give a soft kiss on her cheek, lingering for a moment longer than usual. Elara:

Kazuo: Kazuo and MC were in the middle of their training session, with sweat dripping down their forehead when they took a break. Kazuo being a sweet and understanding person, wouldn't mind if MC forget their daily kiss (such a sweet boi), however, as MC realized, they froze, feeling guilty for forgetting such an important part of their routine.

Noticing the hesitation on MC's face, Kazuo furrowed his brow and asked in concern. "Is something wrong?"

MC cleared their throat, embarrassed as they admitted, "Uh, I, forgot the kiss."

Kazuo chuckled and shook his head fondly, walking closer to MC and signaling to his cheek. MC leaned in and gave him a gentle kiss, feeling a surge of happiness when Kazuo's face lit up with a smile.

Kazuo:

Aiden/Ava: A would notice the absence of the kiss right away, I mean they get up every morning excited for it.

"MC" they whined (I can't with them 🥺), tugging on their sleeve. "Why didn't you give me my kiss?"

MC's heart melted at the sight of A's adorable pout. They would lean in and give A a soft kiss on the cheek, causing A's face to lit up with joy. But that wouldn't be enough for them. A would follow MC around like a lost puppy, demanding more kisses and snuggles, unwilling to let them out of their sight.

A demanding snuggles:

SC: SC eyes narrowed mischievously, and they looked around, a sly grin spreading across their face. "What's wrong?" their voice is laced with amusement. "Did you forget something, MC?"

MC froze, feeling a sense of dread was over them. They knew how sneaky SC could be, "No?..." they tried to sound oblivious.

SC was amused, they followed MC around, taunting them with snarky comments and snickering.

"Did you forget about me, MC?" their voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm hurt. You wound me deeply."

MC rolled their eyes, they leaned in and gave them a quick kiss on the cheek, feeling a twinge of guilt for forgetting.

SC's eyes sparkled with mischief, and they reached out to grab MC's hand. "Don't worry, MC," their voice low and seductive. "I'll let you make it up to me later."

SC:

Does the King only falls in love with MC after the imprisonment or could he have been in love with them before?

Idk I feel like he's the kind of guy that'd definitely lock up the person he likes. Something like "Well, at least no one can steal you from me now". The joke would be on him tho, the demon did steal MC away lol

Anyway, loved the demo. Really liked that the chains also sustained MC, really interesting. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Regarding Aurelian romance path, you can choose whether you were past lovers or he develops feelings for MC later on.
