The weariness etched to their face didn’t go unnoticed by Kazuo. Setting aside his sword, he noticed MC rubbing their neck while letting out a weary sigh. It was clear they had just completed a difficult mission.

Filled with concern, Kazuo patted the chair in front of him, silently inviting MC to take a seat and rest their body.

"Here, this will help," he said, rising from his own seat and beginning to knead MC's back with skilled hands. As MC winced in pain, they called out to Kazuo, beckoning him to come closer.

Kazuo leaned in, expecting a sweet kiss. To his surprise, MC planted a gentle peck on his forehead, their lips barely grazing his skin. The unexpected gesture caught him off guard, and he blinked in astonishment.

"Haha! You were expecting something else—Ouch!" MC playfully teased, their voice turning into a yelp of surprise as Kazuo tightened his grip on their shoulder.

Aiden/Ava:

"You better run, or I'm going to gobble you up!" A exclaimed, their hands raised like a playful monster, sprinting towards one of the nearby children who burst into laughter. A began tickling the child, accompanied by silly eating noises as if they had devoured their small friend.

Amidst the cheerful chaos, A heard a familiar chuckle behind them. They paused, turning around swiftly, their face lighting up with joy. MC stood there, a sight that never failed to elicit a beaming smile from A. The distance between them seemed to shrink as MC crouched down, meeting A's gaze.

As MC leaned closer, their lips gently brushed against A's forehead, surprising them with a tender kiss. "You were expecting something else, weren't you?" MC playfully teased, a mischievous grin adorning their face.

However, MC's playful moment abruptly shifted to astonishment as A enveloped them in a warm bear hug, holding them tightly. "I love you! I love you! I love you so much!" SC:

MC had a plan, determined to finally catch SC off guard after all this time of being the one teased and tricked. Nodding to themselves, MC called out for SC, repeating their name several times, but there was no sign of them.

Concern began to creep into MC's mind as they searched every nook and cranny, their anxiety growing. Suddenly, a voice sent a shiver down their spine. "Boo..." SC seductively whispered in MC's ear.

Startled, MC swiftly turned around, their eyebrows furrowing. Standing just inches away was SC, their laughter filling the air as they held their stomach, wiping tears of amusement from their eyes.

"Oh, sweet MC, I'll never tire of teasing you." Frustration welled up within MC, and without hesitation, they grabbed SC, pulling them closer with force.

SC's eyes widened in surprise, but they quickly regained their composure. "A kiss? Hmm..." SC slyly smiled, expecting something more.

However, to their surprise, MC countered with a swift kiss on the forehead. "You were expecting something else? Who's laughing now?" MC smirked, a sense of pride evident in their achievement.

"Don't speak," he whispered, his voice breaking. "You're going to be okay. I won't let you die." But even as he said those words, Aurelian knew they were a lie.

He tried to heal them, but MC's injuries were too severe, and there was nothing he could do to save them.

"Please don't leave me," he begged, his voice quivering in desperation. "I need you, MC. Please come back to me. I can't live without you."

MC's eyes closed for the final time.

Elara:

Elara always knew that this world was dangerous and that great risks lurked in the shadows. But she had never imagined that one day, she would be holding the almost lifeless body of MC.

Tears streamed down Elara's face as she cradled MC in her arms. "Why did you take this mission?" she whispered, her voice filled with anguish. "You knew the risks."

"I wish you had listened to me. I wish I could have protected you better," she continued, her voice cracking with emotion.

MC's eyes fluttered open, their gaze cloudy and unfocused. "Elara," they said weakly, blood flowing out of their mouth. "Don't blame yourself. This was my choice."

"No! It wasn't supposed to end like this. You were supposed to come back with me," she cried, her voice raw and broken.

MC's hand weakly reached up, touching Elara's cheek. "I'm sorry," they whispered.

Elara clutched MC's hand, her tears falling onto their skin. "Don't leave me," she pleaded. "Please, don't go. I love you."

MC smiled weakly, their eyes closing for the final time. Elara held them close, her heart shattering into a million pieces.

Kazuo:

Kazuo lay there as MC was dying in his arms, the blood on his hands and the tears streaming down his face a testament to the pain he felt.

"MC, please, please, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay," he whispered, his body shaking uncontrollably.

MC's eyes were closed, and their breathing was shallow. Kazuo could feel their life slipping away, and he didn't know how to stop it.

He wanted to make it stop. He wanted the blood to stop flowing. He wanted everything to just stop.

"I'm sorry," MC managed to say between coughs. "I couldn't... protect you."

Kazuo's heart ached at those words. "What do you mean?! You saved me! You saved my life! And now I can't even save yours..." His voice broke and shook from pain.

MC's hand weakly reached up to hold his hand. "I'm glad... I'm..." Their breath grew even more labored, and their hand fell back to their side.

"No, no, no," he cried out. "Don't... don't. Please, speak to me."

But it was too late. MC's breathing stopped, and their hand went limp in Kazuo's grasp.

He let out a scream of agony.

He held MC's lifeless body tightly, not wanting to let go. "I love you," he whispered into MC's ear.

“I’ll always love you.”

Aiden/Ava:

A rushed over to MC and held them in their arms, their heart racing with fear. "Why did this happen? No, everything is going to be okay," A shakily rambled as they tried to stop the bleeding.

Soft, shallow breathing came from MC. They were fading fast. A was trembling with shock and denial. The wound was too severe, they had lost too much blood. They didn't know what to do.

Breaking them from their shock, a bloody hand was on their cheek. MC smiled weakly, their eyes filled with love and tears. "Thank you... for everything."

Tears streamed down A's face non-stop. They tried to speak, but their mouth was dry.

"You can't leave me. I love you. I love you so much," they managed to say.

But it was too late. MC's pulse stopped, and their hand went limp.

A's heart felt like it was being ripped out of their chest. They had never felt this much pain and emptiness.

"Why did you have to die?" A questioned, tears falling onto MC's skin.

They held MC's body tightly, feeling like they were holding onto the only thing left in the world that mattered.

Elara: at first, she may make an effort to appear professional and attentive in public, but as she falls in love, she will gradually become more candid and expressive towards the person she likes. This shift in behavior could lead to occasional episodes of distraction, where she will find herself daydreaming or losing focus on her work. But, she will quickly regain her composure and return to her tasks, with a determination to sort out her emotions at a later time.

Aurelian: save MC without hesitation.

Elara: I don't think she could make such a difficult decision.

Kazuo: save MC. Loyal to the end.

Aiden/Ava: the decision will be difficult for them as well, and it will depend on the situation. They may choose to save MC, or remain with MC and face the same fate.

SC: save MC.

When MC and RO started a relationship or when they are close to becoming a couple.

What if our MC, which has been feeling numb for a long time. At some point in the conversation, they will fall silent, pat their own body in search of something, after which they will look into the eyes of RO and say: "Oh my God, is this a desire to live? Did you do that?". As a semi- joke.

So I kind of merged the two questions together:

Aurelian: from a young age, Aurelian was shaped by his parents troubled marriage, which left him feeling disillusioned and resentful towards love.

As the heir to the throne, he was fully dedicated to his duties and responsibilities, leaving little room for thoughts of love and romance.

In fact, he struggled to distinguish between his desire for control and his genuine feelings of love for the things and people he cared about. So that made Aurelian have a complex relationship with the concept of love, and struggles to recognize it when he encounters it.

Elara: despite prioritizing her studies and interests, Elara always remained hopeful that she will find the one.

Growing up with books and studying, she never found much time for romantic relationships, but deep down she yearns for a deep and meaningful connection with someone who shares her love of knowledge.

She dreams of finding someone who can keep up with her intellectually and who will challenge her to be her best self.

Whenever she meets someone who shows even the slightest interest in her passions, she eagerly seizes the opportunity to befriend them.

While she may not believe in love at first sight per se, she is open to the possibility of experiencing a powerful and immediate connection with someone special.

Kazuo: for Kazuo, love is not something that can be rushed or taken lightly. Aurelian: Ah, yes, we all know Aurelian is a spoiled child who craves attention and adoration like a cat craves tuna. If MC forgets to give him a kiss on the cheek, he'll likely pout, sulk, and sigh so loudly you'd think there was a hurricane outside. Meanwhile, MC may be confused by Aurelian's behavior ("what's up with him?" 🤨) but they will eventually realize what's going on and sneak around him to give him a quick peck on the cheek, even if he's crossing his arms and facing away from them.

Or, MC could choose to playfully tease Aurelian, which may lead to him becoming more upset and storming out of the room in a huff, while pouting. MC: snickering. >:)

Aurelian:

Elara: Elara will notice the absence of the kiss immediately. Her hand will go to her cheek, and she will look around in confusion. She will start thinking 'What happened? Are they okay?' and she will start pacing around the room.

And then, MC will burst into the room, with a sheepish expression on their face, hurrying over to her side. "I'm so sorry Elara." ( 😰)

She will smile warmly, taking MC's hand in hers. MC will sigh with relief, and will they lean in and give a soft kiss on her cheek, lingering for a moment longer than usual. Elara:

Kazuo: Kazuo and MC were in the middle of their training session, with sweat dripping down their forehead when they took a break. Kazuo being a sweet and understanding person, wouldn't mind if MC forget their daily kiss (such a sweet boi), however, as MC realized, they froze, feeling guilty for forgetting such an important part of their routine.

Noticing the hesitation on MC's face, Kazuo furrowed his brow and asked in concern. "Is something wrong?"

MC cleared their throat, embarrassed as they admitted, "Uh, I, forgot the kiss."

Kazuo chuckled and shook his head fondly, walking closer to MC and signaling to his cheek. MC leaned in and gave him a gentle kiss, feeling a surge of happiness when Kazuo's face lit up with a smile.

Kazuo:

Aiden/Ava: A would notice the absence of the kiss right away, I mean they get up every morning excited for it.

"MC" they whined (I can't with them 🥺), tugging on their sleeve. "Why didn't you give me my kiss?"

MC's heart melted at the sight of A's adorable pout. They would lean in and give A a soft kiss on the cheek, causing A's face to lit up with joy. But that wouldn't be enough for them. A would follow MC around like a lost puppy, demanding more kisses and snuggles, unwilling to let them out of their sight.

A demanding snuggles:

SC: SC eyes narrowed mischievously, and they looked around, a sly grin spreading across their face. "What's wrong?" their voice is laced with amusement. "Did you forget something, MC?"

MC froze, feeling a sense of dread was over them. They knew how sneaky SC could be, "No?..." they tried to sound oblivious.

SC was amused, they followed MC around, taunting them with snarky comments and snickering.

"Did you forget about me, MC?" their voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm hurt. You wound me deeply."

MC rolled their eyes, they leaned in and gave them a quick kiss on the cheek, feeling a twinge of guilt for forgetting.

SC's eyes sparkled with mischief, and they reached out to grab MC's hand. "Don't worry, MC," their voice low and seductive. "I'll let you make it up to me later."

SC:

"How can you say that?" you said, you voice laced with pain. "You took away everything from me, my freedom, my life. You left me alone in that dark cell for a century Aurelian. A century! And now you come here and say you love me?"

Aurelian felt a lump from his throat. He knew he didn't deserve your forgiveness, but he couldn't help hoping for it. "I know what I've done is unforgivable," his voice barely above a whisper. "But please, give me a chance to make it up to you. Let me show you how much I love you, and how deeply I regret what I've done."

You hesitated for a long time, your gaze locked with Aurelian's. You have never seen him this sincere, his eyes burning with plead for your forgiveness and regret. Tears streamed down your face, your heart is aching with pain. "You don't understand," you voice trembling. "I loved you, Aurelian. I trusted you with my life, and you threw it away like it was nothing. How can I ever trust you again?"

"I'm sorry," his voice filled with remorse. "I know saying this won't take away your pain, but I'm so sorry for what I've done. Please, give me a chance to make it up to you. I'll do anything, anything at all, to make things right between us."

You looked at him for a very long time, finally you gave a small node. "Fine," your voice barely above a whisper. "But don't think this means I forgive you. I'll give you a chance to prove yourself, but I don't know if I can ever trust you again, Aurelian."

He stepped closer to you, his hand reaching out to touch your cheek, but he stopped mid air. "Thank you," his voice filled with hope. "I promise, I won't let you down again."

Elara:

Elara stood before you, her heart pounding with nervousness. She had rehearsed what she wanted to say, but now that she is facing you, her words seemed inadequate. "I...I Iove you," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please believe me when I say that my feelings are genuine. I want to be with you, with all my heart."

You looked at her, your expression guarded. "I want to believe you," your voice shaky. "But I've been hurt before. I trusted someone so much, and he broke my trust into a million pieces. I don't know if I can go through that pain again."

Elara felt a ping of sympathy in her chest. She knew who you were talking about it. "I understand how you feel," her voice gentle. "But please, don't give up on love. It's scary to trust again, but sometimes the risk is worth it."

You looked at her for a long moment, your expression softening. "How do you know?" you voice filled with vulnerability. "How do you know that your love won't hurt me?"

I can't promise you that I'll never hurt you, but I can promise you that I'll always be honest and true to my feelings."

Elara took a step closer to you, signaling for a permission to hold your hands, you nodded. "I know," her voice filled with compassion. "But you don't have to be alone in your fear. I'm here for you, and I'll support you in whatever way you need. We can take things slow, and we can build trust between us, one step at a time."

"Thank you," your eyes shining in emotion. "It's nice to know that you're here for me."

Elara smiled at you, "I'll be here for you, always."

Kazuo:

Kazuo stood before you, his heart bounding with nervousness. He had never been good at expressing his emotions, but he knew he had to tell you how he felt.

"MC," he said, his voice shaking. "I have to tell you something. I...I love you."

You looked at him, your expression guarded. "I...how can I trust you?" your tone bitter and hurt. "I've been hurt before, Kazuo. I can't go through that again."

Kazuo closed his eyes, he knew that this is what you would say. He knew the pain you suffered all these years, he was there when it happened. But he also knew that you saved him, in more ways than one.

"MC..., you saved me. You saved me from a life of pain and loneliness. When I was lost and alone, you showed me kindness and compassion. You helped me find my way back to the light." His voice filled with emotions, tears started to fall from his eyes.

You looked at him, your expression softening, "How did I help you?" your voice filled with tenderness.

"You showed me there was still hope," he wiped his tears and covered his face with his hands. "You showed me there was still goodness in this chaotic world, that there was still people worth fighting for. You saved me, MC. You saved me from the darkness that had consumed for so long."

Tears started streaming down your face, "I had no idea," you voice shaky. "I'm sorry, Kazuo. I had no idea how much you were also hurting."

Kazuo moved closer, asking for you permission to hold you, you nodded. "It's okay. I want you know to know that, I'm here for you, to stand by your side, no matter what. I promise to love you with all my heart and protect you from any harm or pain. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe."

You leaned on him, "I trust you, Kazuo. I know you'll keep me safe."

Aiden/Ava:

A took a deep breath, their heart pounding as they prepare to confess their feelings. They knew you don't trust people easily anymore, but they couldn't keep these feelings bottled any longer or they would go crazy.

"I have something to tell you," they said softly, their eyes shining and locked onto yours. "I know this might sound like a joke, but...I've started to feel something more for you. Something deeper."

You looked at them, your expression guarded. "A,I...I don't know if I can do this," your voice filled with uncertainty. "I don't know if I can trust this much again."

A nodded trying to keep their emotions in check, " I understand that you've been hurt," their eyes filled with warmth. "But I want you to know that I would never do anything to hurt you. I care about you too much to ever do that."

You looked at them, your expression softening slightly. "I know you mean well, A."

A stepped closer to you, their eyes locked onto yours for permission, you nodded. "I know it's hard," they said softly. "But I want you to know that I love you. I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't mean it. I know it might take time for you to trust me, but I'm willing to wait. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to show you that you can trust me." they gave you the most pupped eyed look and you chuckled.

"I don't know what to say," you voice hesitated. "I never thought anyone could love me, after everything that happened. But...maybe I can learn to trust you. Maybe we can try."

A reached out and held your hands. "I would like that," a smile spreading across their face. "I would like nothing more than to try, to see where this takes us."

How would the ROs react when they realize they have fallen in love with the MC?

Aurelian: At first, he may feel a sense of confusion and surprise at his own emotions. As someone who has always been focused on ambitions and goals, the idea of being in love is foreign and confusing to him.

Furthermore, Aurelian's possessiveness may lead him to struggle with his feelings towards MC. He may see them as a possession to be claimed rather than a person with their own desires. This could lead to him becoming controlling and demanding more time with the MC.

When Aurelian comes to terms with his feelings for the MC, he would gift them everyday items that they love or even things he heard them say they wanted, for example, "Hmm, I'm craving strawberries." The next day? The MC's room is filled with boxes of strawberries and the garden of the castle is filled with them. He would use words of admiration day and night.

Elara: As someone who has always placed a strong emphasis on knowledge and education, she may initially try to rationalize or analyze her feelings, attempting to understand the reasons behind her attraction. However, as she spends more time with MC, she becomes increasingly drawn to them and comes to terms with her feelings.

Aurelian: Imagine Aurelian becoming very annoyed, his jaw tensing and unknowingly tapping his foot impatiently on the ground. His mind would race as he tries to think of ways to defuse the situation. He might feel a surge of irritation wash over him, thinking how dare someone else try to charm the MC. (Aurelian might feel the same even as "friends" this boy smh 😌)

Elara: Elara would likely observe the situation and assess the intentions of the person doing the flirting before taking action. She may approach the MC and engage them in a conversation to redirect their attention elsewhere. She would subtly signal to the MC that she is aware of the situation and offer support if needed. If the MC is on the romance route, she may feel disappointed and disheartened but would still approach the situation in the same way.

Was King Aurelian the one who imprisoned the MC, or was it his father?

This is spoiler territory, but I can confirm that it was Aurelian who imprisoned the MC. However, the why's and the how's will be answered in the demo, hopefully. 😏
