So It's been a month since the "Ephemeridia Galactica" Zine (You can find It on @theasimovzineproject) so I think I should post the piece I did! (Separately cause yeah)
(I think I could strive to do even Better next time but I'm really glad I challenged myself with this)
My contribution to the Ephemeridia Galactica Zine (@theasimovzineproject)!! It's free, if you want to take a look :D Caves of Steel is one of my favourite books ;u;
I know Gladia isn't the most universally liked character but I did something
a preview of something I drew for @theasimovzineproject ๐ค๐๐บ๏ธ๐๐
Okay I'm the Person Who came up with Jessie/Jander
Basically I thought that at least in Italian, Jessie Is very considerate towards how Daneel feels. On point, when She Is reporting about the whole cultism thing She apologies for the people attitude towards Robot and asks him how he feels and of she should change terms. And I Imagine Jander as a very sweet and chill Person. So I feel like Both Jander would make Jessie at ease when she's Always worrying about what other people think but Also Jessie would check out of Jander Is okay and how he feels
And Then I think It would be so funny It things went like
Elijah: I've been hanging around with Daneel quote some time
Jessie: No wait really? Because
And then Janders appear
I made It up mostly as a crackpair and I was not expecting Amy to put It but thanks for that!

It's sketchbook hour, so we start with
Robot Sammy my beloved, featuring Doctor Sarton
Sometimes I think about that one bit in "The Robots of Dawn" where Daneel explains to Elijah that on Aurora there are Specialized Robots to raise kids, and neither him or Giskard have that ability. And then I think that Giskard sort of raised Vasilia.
Imagine when Vasilia was really tiny, Han Fastolfe going to Giskard "Oh I'm going a few days out for a scientific Conference please keep an eye on Vasilia" and Giskard Panicking. Fastolfe comes back home three days later and Giskard is now "Babysitter Supreme"
You know what, Giskard is creepy. He really killed his brother for the sake of dubious prospects. If think about it more then minute, ohhhh it's unjustifiably and cruelly...
Realizing That like only three people knew of Giskard abilities. With one of them he only met twice, another turned against him and his friends
This is actually devastating
A compilation of doodles I've done, they get worse
I'm sorry
If I had a dime for everytime I got a friend of mine into reading "The Caves of Steel" by talking to them about the some philosophical thinking I made in it, I would have Two Dimes.
And It isn't much but it's funny that it happened twice
I remembered that in Robots of Dawn it is specified that Aurora's sun is in the Cetus constellation, also known as the Whale. So, my brain connected two dots
I got friend of mine into reading The Caves of Steel and they are at the tenth chapter currently, they told me "I feel like the story dropped a crucial clue to solve the Mistery but I can't pinpoint it clearly" and I was there trying to not giveaway anything like "Oh really? Tell me more"
Reminds me of one time that a friend of mine was like "I don't like books where everything is too easy for the protagonist" and I was like "Oh you'd like The Caves of Steel, the protagonist gets the case wrong not once but twice" and he goes "What happens? Twice?" and This sends off me making a two minutes long message explaining the plot
Some mystery writers suffer from making their detective characters too inhumanly clever, with flawless and logical reasoning.
Asimov never made that mistake. He really just had Elijah Baley go in front of the chief of police, point at his android partner, and say โThis man is no robot! He faked his own murder and is now pretending to be a robot! I know this because I peeped on him in the bathroom and his penis was incredibly lifelike. No one would give a robot such a realistic penis!โ and then has a panic attack and passes out when he finds out that the genitals heโd been ogling were not, in fact, genuine human flesh and his robot partner is made entirely of metal.
For everytime something uncommonly ugly happens

Giskard, Elijah and Gladia But Probably Daneel burnt their old clothes so they are trying out Trantor 12020 Fashion // Daneel and Fallom in Apocalypse Fashion, the two clothing option are Space projector and Tarot reference that really is a Biblical Reference
Au where everyone lives together and everyone's alive, this happens! Thanks for listening
Cursed idea: What if we took all the robot/human ships from Asimov's Robot and Foundation series and named them after Carbon and Iron mixtures like Steel, Cast Iron, Iron Carbide...
