Woo hoo! I’m still so excited from last night. People dooming and criticizing RG for his acting? WTH? I thought he was great. I thought the car scene and goodbye scenes were awesome. And to see people who ship Buddie glooming? As someone who hasn’t been in this fandom that long, I don’t even know why some people watch? Do they like being miserable? I see people complaining that they have been burned before and that’s understandable. But then why do they have such an investment in it? And now the slow burn/will they, won’t they people wanted I guess isn’t what they really wanted.
The biggest question is if you hate Eddie, why do you ship Buddie? Crazy.
Listen, I loved this episode so much. It was great entertainment from beginning to end. I was glued to my screen.
But people are allowed to have a different opinion about the episode. That's how life works. You can't always love the same things as everyone else. So I don't really mind that. It's simply a human experience.
But the Ryan hate is crazy. I'm sorry. But it is. The man was so good in last night's episode. He has been consistently great in his acting over the last couple of seasons and some people still feel the need to rag on him. I'm so tired of it.
I said it before and I'll say it again: I'm not a Ryan stan. I like Ryan and he seems like a nice guy, but I'm not a stan. I'm simply an Eddie fan. I don't know too much about Ryan. I don't need to know too much about Ryan. But I do know he is good at what he does. He is a really good solid actor. And his interpretation of Eddie Diaz? Perfection.
As for the Buddie dooming and glooming. I don't know anymore Nonny. I don't understand what people want to happen here? For years we got small scenes between them and then nothing to follow it up anymore. For once we are getting, not only tons of scenes between them, but actual follow up and continuation of their narrative together.
We are living through a real 'will they won't they' slowburn situation where everything is clearly leading somewhere big for Buddie. I don't know what to say to these people anymore, other than 'Buddie is happening'. I'm at a loss at this point. 🤷♀️
I think the biggest question here Nonny, is: How could anyone ever hate Eddie Diaz? One of the greatest characters that has ever graced our TV-screens? Incomprehensible. 🧐
okay, so it's bothering me a little how a lot of people are talking about ryan's acting, and i wanted to give my two cents on it.
for me, it's pretty clear where ryan is going with his acting choices, especially after what he said on the podcast. but for some reason, people are acting as if eddie's lack of emotion is just ryan being a bad actor. i might agree with that in other scenarios, but this time? no. i’d say that even though his performance isn’t oscar-worthy, he's still doing a great job portraying what’s happening with eddie.
which is: he's repressing the hell out of his feelings.
and we can see that—there are a few instances where his mask slips.
when he learns that buck is going to sublet his house, he can't keep his emotions at bay. in my opinion, he realizes in that moment that he has someone who genuinely loves him and would do anything for him, which just makes things even harder. so, he tries to repress his feelings even more.
when buck brings up the subject of him moving again while they’re searching for maddie, his façade almost slips when he says, "it isn't nothing." but again, he pushes his feelings down. it’s obvious he’s exhausted from thinking about it and fighting about it with buck.
and finally, when they say goodbye, ryan does something so subtle that if you blink, you’d miss it—eddie’s smile falters just a little, and his eyebrow twitches while they’re hugging.
so yeah, it’s obvious that eddie is going through it and trying his hardest to keep his feelings locked away. to really understand eddie right now, it's important to keep in mind what ryan said in that podcast about reading between the lines—and also remember that while buck is really expressive with his feelings, eddie is the complete opposite.

And ya’ll want people to believe that most of you guys ain’t racist 🤨. People act like they care about diversity but they only talk about the white men in a relationship. I said it before and I will say it again,you guys want only want Buck to be in a relationship with a white person. I think you guys to need to dig deep and find out why ya’ll feel that way. Acting like people are upset that Buck is dating because he’s white is just stupid. We’re upset because Tommy is a terrible person.
Lmao not sure why I have to get therapy. Just because Ryan was acting friendly with the failed nepo baby doesn’t mean anything. He’s not going to hold that animosity all day and make things awkward for everyone. It’s not a scenario, even before the full video came out, lots of people were talking about how pissed off Ryan looked. Then when the full video came out, people connected the dots. Ryan is talking to staff member,looks annoyed, walks over to everyone including Hulks son,says something about tomatoes,Kenny looks at Lfj and says “a argument about tomatoes really”, Oliver walks away from him. I don’t know how much more things you need. I mean I get it a little bit, when I like a celebrity I don’t finding out that they’re a mean person. But with the posts that Lou made a couple years ago(when he was grown adult) it doesn’t seem that wild that he would also be rude to service workers.
There being drama on set is crazy. Just because a grown man decided to be rude to a crafts services person because there was tomatoes in your food. LIKE HELLO. Theres a video of Ryan talking to someone(most likely the employee he yelled at) then he goes up to the failed nepo baby. You can hear Ryan say something about tomatoes, and then Kenny looks at Lfj and can be heard saying, “an argument about tomatoes really?”. That’s when Oliver walks away from lfj and gives him the side eye. Ryan was the most pissed off,telling him to have manners and respect. Lfj tries to explain himself but Ryan talks over him. I mean, it’s crazy that a 40 year old man would react that way about tomatoes. Whenever there’s something in my food I don’t like it, I simply take it out. And before say that he could be allergic,there is better ways to go about it, not yelling at someone that’s just trying to do their job.

The amount of awkward I feel cannot be accurately quantified right now. I'm currently sitting on a bus travelling to the next town over with a bunch of school kids. Behind me is 2 girls that I'm guessing are about 15/16. Apparently, they have been spying on my phone and text messages and they saw I was talking to my finance whose saved in my phone as 'My Man's' and ask me if the guy in the pink hoodie on my home screen is my boyfriend because his cute.....MY HOMESCREENS FRICKEN OLIVER STARK. Like girls in my dreams.
