Okay, maybe a hot take- I don’t want the Earis and Zaros to have an enemies to lovers arc. I mean, if it happens, great 👍🏾

But I think I’d rather them be rivals to allies/friends. I feel like it’d fit their dynamic more (just my own thoughts)

The Ilves Crest Crochet Tapestry

I locked in last night lol, just finished this-

Original design by ZsakuVA, border pattern by naztazia on YouTube, tapestry pattern made by me on Stitchfiddle.

Random notes:

So the actual stats of this thing: The actual creative process started January 23 (I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR THAT LONG?!?!?!?!!?) when I asked Saku if it was okay to try crocheting his design. Crocheting took a little over 7 weeks and ~108 hours? But with a bunch of interruptions due to college and family stuff. Luckily I bought more than enough yarn to finish this, since I found out a week after I started that JoAnn was closing (they had the best yarn selection I'd ever seen too 😭). It is 57.25 in. long (~1.5 m) and 47 in. wide (~1. 2 m).

I thought about making this like- an actual wall-hanging tapestry, but as it got longer I saw that it made a really nice blanket so I decided to just keep it as a throw. Definitely my biggest project to date...

Crochet list is still going for the VAs lol... I kind of want to make a wearable for myself though, so one small plushie attack to take a break from the big projects, then I'm going to make myself a spiderweb coat! If anyone has ideas on what I could make for the VAs, I'd love to hear them- Saku's down, for Nora I want to make a giant stuffed onigiri pillow... I think for Scythe I want to make JayJay's red panda plushie Advoo, but I feel like I could make something more epic. For Escaped, Mage, and GBA I have no idea what to make.

Anyway hope you guys like it!!!! This was super fun, and I'm really really proud of how it came out.

And thank you Saku, your work is super inspiring and I hope I did your design justice!

Rant? Idk, just random thoughts from today-

One thing I realized would be great to have is a gamer boyfriend. I put on Jonah's sleep aid and the amount of sheer focus I got from that was amazing. So yeah gamer boyfriend for boyfriend purposes but also because I can use him for background noise.

she says all this with the full intent of never getting into a relationship because she is too scared

Anyway in terms of background noise that works for me, I realized it's gaming streams, Q&As, and live DnD games with the BG3 cast. Audios work too but I get too caught up in them.

Besides this I'm also working on a skirt commission and two friends' bday presents for this month... March is busyyyy hahaha...

This was not the actual rant I intended to type out but the more lighthearted one

Also I measured it properly! It's nearly 3.5 ft (~1 m I think?) wide.

Probably the last update post for a bit, I'll just keep working on this behind the scenes... I just really liked how the crown was looking and wanted to show it off.

Update on the Crochet Ilves Crest Tapestry-

That's approximately how much I've done in a week.

Feeling pretty good about this! The crown and birds are going to be torture but it's still super fun.

There's been a few mistakes in the pattern and while I've been working on this, but I'm satisfied with it so far.

So on the list of crazy crochet projects for 2025:

I managed to turn Saku's design for the Ilves crest into a pixel grid for tapestry crochet... (based off his answer to this)

Realizing that this is definitely ambitious for a first attempt at tapestry, but that's never stopped me before! (to my detriment-)

So far on the time-consuming project list it's this, and then I also want to try making Tom's sweater from Sonic 3.

Plus now that I've unlocked one of the secrets to tapestry, I kinda want to make a pirate flag now (iykyk)

So the funny thing is I was originally planning to make a Mocha keychain instead...

Wasn't working out though, for some reason I wasn't into it... most likely because ihaven'twatchedluca'sseriesyetkoff

I ended up scrapping the Mocha idea and I was wondering what to make instead when I saw "Stargazing with a Gangster" in my recommended- knocked out a keychain in 30 minutes while listening to the audio.

Also I think Elias was my first introduction to the Sakuverse... I remember listening to him and Isaac first.

*claps hands together* All right, I've crocheted all of my ASMR fixations, all I have to do now is finish binging Scythe and I'm free from this spell-

Possible predictions for the Xanthus and Dontis storylines-

(don't let the first one come true, I'm begging-)

If we get a new Xanthus episode first: Dontis is probably going to die. Most likely sacrificing himself so Xanthus and Love can get away.

However, Hunter will be getting all of his money and property hahaaaaaaaaa *heart-wrenching sobs*

If we get a new Dontis episode first: Most likely going to be another flashback and not in the current timeline

Possibly get to see the interaction between him and Hunter's father?

Theory for Noble Trials?

No, I'm not good at making theories for the Sakuverse... plenty of people here who can actually think deep, I am not one of them.

However, it's currently very late, and my brain goes to some crazy places so HERE WE GO-

Relistening to the Noble Trials and I'm on Episode Two when Earis and Zaros are in the garden. He's talking to the Earis about the plants that are growing there and their different characteristics.

At 19:15, Zaros starts talking about the Red Tomalia flowers. (SAKU IS THAT HOW YOU SPELL IT??? CAN WE GET A DICTIONARY FOR THIS PLEASE? RESEARCH PURPOSES AND ALL-)

"Tomalia hearts, particularly red ones, are an effective anesthetic... Eating a tomalia heart in small quantities provides other benefits. A thin slice will offer a deep sleep, but anything more than that... *sighs* Let's just say it's not something to hunger for. You won't wake up again."

This is the second time that he talked about a plant species in depth during this episode. Now yes, part of it may just be, you know, exploring his character, setting the scene, etc. But it's really interesting to me that he's talking about a plant that, to my mind, could be used as a potential weapon.

It's just a curious idea to me... perhaps there's an attempt to poison someone (possibly one of the MCs) and either Earis/Zaros recognizes that a tomalia heart was used?
