sartorial genderblogging tbh i think the actual problem may just be that these Fun Mint Shorts are technically chino shorts from back when i was trying out styles and nothing in the chino family is actually my gender. like. these need a polo shirt and boat shoes and i'm just Not that guy and i was trying to pair them with a (subtly) outdoorsy tank top but unfortunately i'm like the princess and the pea when it comes to style if something is Off it eats at me anyway i think the other subproject my cleaning spree has to spawn is like. a wardrobe weedout. time to accept my gorpcore destiny and donate the rest. practice a little marie kondo 'thank you for teaching me i don't like this.' (obviously this is sort of a weird overlapping area between like. how much of this is Gender vs how much of it is other aspects of identity (but like. there are infinite masculinities and infinite femininities depending on context‚ right) (and these days it's like. well. i'm comfiest in the stylistic contexts where masculinity and femininity overlap.) (cf that one post abt goth although that isn't me. but like. the difference between Men's and Women's outdoorswear is pretty much just that all the women's shit at REI is either teal or purple) (and i mean. also a lot of it expects a waist-to-hip ratio that i don't actually have at the moment.) (but like. tevas for all genders.)
