Part 6
Wally Clark x fem reader Y/N
Summary:
Itâs time for the homecoming dance and you meet a new ghost named Tommy. And reality of your death hits you both as the school is organizing a memorial.Â
You and Wally reach the teachersâ lounge and you spot Janet, Rhonda and the other ghost who hasnât said anything except stare at you which you find unsettling, but it could be just his way to cope with new ghosts. âHi, uh we have some more questions, and we are hoping you can help us?â You ask the group. Janet gets up from her seat âI can try to help but like Mr Martin said we donât know what causes us to be in this âIn betweenâ phase we just are.â She adds. âThe more you dwell on your past and how you are stuck here the harder it will be on you. We want to figure our way out of here, to cross over but a big part of that is letting go of your past and embrace that you are here.â Not knowing how to respond to that You and Wally just stare blankly at her and each other. âRight so we just have to accept we are stuck here for how knows how long so we can eventually figure out how to cross over?â Wally says. The other ghost who has blonde hair and a tan who honestly looks like a model straight out of a magazine, is still staring blankly. âOk blondie, you are starting to creep me out. Why are you just staring?â You ask him. He finally responds. âSorry, this is all new to me too. I died not that long ago. I was a Junior when you were freshman you properly donât remember. Iâm Thomas but you can call me Tommy.âÂ
You and Wally continue to ask questions to the others until you can hear loud music. The dance has started. âWell, I donât know about you guys, but I wanted to check out the dance and get some delicious punch they have every year.â Janet says as she gets up and starts to walk to the door. âY/N and Wally if you want to join, go to the theatre thereâs a room under the stage they have a bunch of old clothes if you want to dress up. Tommy and Rhonda follow seemingly also going to the dance. âWell, what do you say Y/N you want to go to the dance with me?â Wally asks as itâs just the two of you left in the room. âWeâve got nothing else to do so why not.â You respond. âBut I want to look cute if Iâm going.â âThey canât see- you know what never mind letâs go.â
You and Wally leave and walk to the theatre and find the hatch that leads to the room under the stage. Dozens of kids from your year start to pile through the doors all dressed up. You get to the drama room and find a bunch of clothes to wear. You spot a blue frilly dress your size and shove it on as Wally finds an old suit that looks like itâs been here since Janet was here. You exit the room and head to the gym. Entering the gym, you immediately see a photo of You and Wally together with a banner underneath that reads âGone too soonâ Seeing that you and Wally both look at each other as the situation of it all sinks in. you and him are well and truly dead.
âUgh, I canât believe the hot jock died. I was going to ask him out.â Amy said to her friends as they enter the gym and see the photo of You and Wally. âThat nerdy friend of his had to die the same day as him to steal his moment because those two have to share everything together.â Karen one of Amyâs bitch pack laughs as they enter the dance. âIgnore them, come on lets at least try to have some fun.â Wally says trying to lighten your mood seeing how hurt you were at their comments. You take his hand and walk further in the gym. Wally drags you on the dance floor. You were hesitant at first but then he reminds you they canât see you. So, you do and dance like literary no one was watching. Just as the dance is about to end, Principal Smith takes the stage. âCan I have everyoneâs attention? I want to say that for those who were close to Wally, and Y/N I know it must be hard to be here. This dance is our way to honour both which is why they are both this yearâs Homecoming King and Queen.â You both take the stage as if they can see you and you and Wally place the crowns on your heads. Principal Smith gets a photo of you and Wally up on the stage and places the crowns on top of the photo. âDonât forget students that the school will be closed until Wednesday, and we will be having a memorial service for both of them and as far as I know their parents havenât set a date for their funerals.â Mr Smith said as the dance dies down and reality hits you. Your family. They must be devastated. You just want to see them, but you canât. Sadness washes over you as Wally turns and gives you a hug for support. You think to yourself this may be greedy, but you are glad you are here with Wally. Because you canât imagine doing this alone.

Summary:
You and Wally experience your first group with the other ghosts and get some answers to some questions you have until you are interrupted by people setting up for the homecoming dance.
âAh you found us. Welcome to the Split River High afterlife support group. Have a seat and letâs get started.â Mr Martin said eagerly. You and Wally sit in the middle of the circle, Rhonda on one side, Janet the next side. âOk so who would like to start- âYeah I doâ Wally says interrupting Mr Martin. âSo, we are all dead, but we can still do things that we used to be able to do but people canât see or hear us, and we canât leave this place?âÂ
âYes. We donât exactly know why we are stuck here letâs just call it the âin betweenâ but we are. I have been here for 25 years and still havenât worked it out Iâm afraid.â Mr Martin explains as you and Wally sit and stare blankly at him neither of you not knowing how to respond to that. You are about to ask another question when Janet chimes in âIâve been here for 23 years, I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my neck. Mr Martin was already here.â Stunned is all you can think about. These people or should I say ghosts have been trapped in this school for 25 years not knowing why you canât leave is crazy. âHow did you die?â Rhonda asks looking directly at you. Before you can say anything another ghostsâ chimes in. âare you guys dating? You have the same jacket on and died the same day makes sense if you were together when you died.â The ghost next to Janet not revealing his name but you could tell he died during the drug phase of the 70s just by looking at him.
âActually, Wally and I are best friends. Our moms are also best friends, and we were born five days apart. Wally gave me his old varsity jacket when the team upgraded in sophomore year, and I wear it to all of his games.â You say trying not to share too much about you and Wallyâs friendship. âAs for how we died, Wally got tackled really badly by the other team and his neck snapped and I got hit by a car that was speeding in the parking lot.â You share with the group. âWait thatâs how it happened? It happened so fast I didnât even feel it. That must have been scary to watch.â Wally says to you softly trying not to show his emotions to the group. Just as you were about to respond you are interrupted again but this time not from another ghost it was a bunch of people entering the gym getting decorations hung and placed around. âWhat is happening?â you ask turning around and seeing more people file into the gym. âIt was your homecoming yesterday, right? Well today is the dance.â Janet answers. âNo fucking way they are still having the dance after we died. Did we mean nothing to people at this school?â Wally yells before walking off and starts yelling at everyone in the gym. âIâll talk to him and try to get him to come- ââNo need Y/N group will finish early; they might not be able to see us, but they will get in our way.â Mr Martin says as he interrupts you.Â
Wally is pissed. Heâs still trying to get someone, anyoneâs attention but nothing. âWally, hey its ok letâs go talk somewhere.â You say ever so gently trying not to anger him anymore. Without saying another word, you see tears stream down his face as you embrace in a hug. You and Wally walk down the halls away from the others to talk. âIt might have been too late to cancel the dance, Wally. It cost a lot of money for the school, and it could have been just easier to continue on.â You say to Wally as he has finally calmed down. âYeah, I guess so. Man, Iâve been such an emotion wreak lately, havenât I? Talk about embarrassing.â Wally admits looking away. âHey, look at me Wally.â You say touching his chin to lift his gaze from of the floor and on to you. âDonât be sorry. We are going through a lot right now itâs understandable you will be emotional. I am too but we are not in this alone. We have the others who will help us. To answer the questions, we have. You arenât alone Wally. You will never be.â You say as you embrace in a tight hug. As you do you feel the butterflies again in your stomach that are only there when he embraces you. This crush is going to get more complicated now, but you still canât tell him yet. You donât want to risk your friendship and he needs a friend now more than a new relationship. Besides you wonder, he might not love me back in that way. âYou really know what to say when Iâm like this donât you Y/N I love you. What did I deserve to have a best friend like you?â He responds after you release from your hug. âI love you too Wally. Iâm lucky to call you my best friend. Now come on letâs go find one of the other ghosts and we can ask as many questions you have.â You say as you take Wallyâs hand and walk down the hall into the teachersâ lounge since thatâs where you figured they like to hang out.

Summary:
Its your first full day in the spirit world or as Mr Martin calls it, the âin betweenâ and Wally isnât coping with your new life. And you attend your first Split River High afterlife support group wanting answers to the endless questions you have.Â
The sun beamed through the library waking you up even though you didnât sleep much as the events of yesterday replayed in your mind over and over again. You sit up and notice Wally wasnât in the library. Concern washes over you not knowing where he went. You get up and do a quick scan of the library making sure he really wasnât in the library. You exit and you can hear voices. Other ghosts.? You noticed walking passed the art room was a guy sitting at the pottery wheel never looking up once. âHeâs a looper. Stuck in the same routine you did the day he died.â Rhonda said behind you causing you to jump. âCould you not do that? You scared me half to death.â You puff holding on to your chest. âYou are already dead. Do I have to explain myself to you again? I thought you were the smart one.â Rhonda sasses back as she once again has a lollipop with her. âWhatâs a looper? Wait never mind have you seen Wally?â you say. âThe meathead jock that died the same time as you? Yeah, I saw him on the field. He clearly not understanding he canât leave this place.â Rhonda responds. Before you can say anything, she left. Clearly, sheâs going to be a handful.Â
Heading towards the field once more you see Wally scream as heâs clearly frustrated you see him run to leave and then just before your eyes crash right back on the field where he died. You walk over to him calmy and he lays on the ground still full of anger. You lay down next to him to try to calm him down. âWally, I know this sucks but itâs going to be ok.â You say softly. He doesnât respond just yells and then cries. Something youâve only seen a handful of times. He was the type of guy not to share his emotions. âShush its ok Iâve got you.â You say as you roll over to give him a hug. You and him just lay there not saying a word as emotions build up. You are patient and wait for him to be ready to talk about it. âI canât believe this Y/N.â he finally speaks after laying there sobbing in your arms. âI know. We can get through this it will be ok.â You say back not actually believing in your own words. You have been this close to Wally before but this time it feels different. Butterflies swirl around on your stomach as you hold him. âWhatever this is Wally, we can figure it out together like we always do.â âYeah, I guess youâre right. Thanks for always calming me down and always saying the right things, you are a great friend.â Wally says softly. Thereâs that word friend again I know thatâs what you and him where, but you canât help but feel a pang in your heart. Maybe he truly only sees you as a friend and nothing more. You and Wally remain on the grass of the field still holding each other not wanting to let go anytime soon. Well, that was true until you feel rain droplets fall on your soft skin. You both get up and make a run for it. You look at wally and he think it too. If you are well and truly dead, how can we feel things like rain? still hold objects like we did before? How are we hungry and tired too? None of it makes sense. But you know who the answers might have you are looking for. Mr Martin. You and Wally donât say anything as you walk back to school. Both of you confused and wanting no needing answers. âThe only one that can give us answers is that Mr Martin guy. He said something last night about group. Maybe we go there and try to figure out what the hell is going on.â You say as you notice that you and Wally are suddenly dry. You and Wally continue to walk around not seeing anyone you decide to go to the gym since you canât think of anywhere else there would be a ghost meeting. And as soon as Wally opens the doors to the gym in the corner you see Mr Martin, Janet, Rhonda, and a bunch of other ghosts you havenât seen before all sitting in a cir

After you witness Wallyâs death you are confused, overwhelmed, and lost. And then tragedy strikes again. Then everything in your life as well as Wallyâs changes and you met some new facesâŠ
Part 3:
As you leave the field everything around you is a blur still in shock. Your mind is going a million miles a minute trying to come to terms of what just happened. You just want to go home and rot away listening to yours and Wallyâs favourite song on your Walkman.
âSweetie, could you go start the car? I need to head to the bathroom before we go home.â Mom says ever so softly knowing how fragile you are. Without saying anything you nod and grab momâs keys, put on your Walkman and walk to the car park. You begin walking to the car music blaring through your headphones as you look down to adjust your Walkman in your pocket. Unbeknownst to you a car is speeding in the car park. A senior showing of his new car speeds in the parking lot and then BANG instantly collecting you. You get fling over the car and land directly on your head.
You slowly open your eyes and things are all a blur. All you see is the dark night sky and red and blue lights. You slowly get up; you see a big crowd in the parking lot all huddled in the middle and looking down at the ground almost as if they were looking for something.
âY/N? Y/Nâ you hear your name being called in the distance. For a moment you thought it was Wally. You get up and walk over to the crowd of people and you try to make your way through. You squeeze past people, but they pretend youâre not even there. You make your way to the centre and see your mom screaming and crying and sheâs holding something. You look closer and realise it you. Confusion instantly washes over you. How are you on the floor there when you were standing right here. âMom, Mom Iâm right here canât you see me?â you say frantically. All the sudden the voice you heard before is right behind you. It was Wally. âWally, what the fuck I just saw you die, how are you here?â âI donât know. All I know is that I was playing the game then I woke up and I saw you and everyone over me in a circle. Then I saw 3 other people that I have never seen before talk to me and said I was dead.â Wally said still confused and worried. âWait if your dead and my bodyâs over there and Iâm here does that make me- â
âA ghost like me. Yeah.â Wally said as he cut you off. The world around you becomes a haze as you revel with the news that you are dead. That you now are a ghost and so is Wally and a bunch of other ghosts? âHuh what? I was just there listening to our song how could I be dead?â Another man with two girls walk to you and he extends his arms. âI know you two must have a lot of questions, come with us and we will talk about it.â The man in the suit that looked something your Uncle Henry would wear. âI know you guys must be scared; I was too when I first found out I died. Trust me it gets better.â The girl with red hair said as the other girl next to her with the paper boy hat didnât say a word as she directs you and Wally back into the school.
You and Wally and the others walk into school as the man introduces himself. âHello, Mr Martin. I like to formally welcome you both to your new life or should I say afterlifeâ Both stunned to what Mr Martin just said. âHi, Iâm Janet and this is Rhonda.â The girl with the red hair says as she holds her hand out to shake which both you and Wally do. âI suppose we donât need to give you a tour since you went to this schoolâ Mr Martin laughs clearly trying to break the silence. Neither you nor Wally laugh.
âUm yeah hi, nice to meet you all but what are we doing here? If we are dead, arenât we I, donât I know supposed to be you know in heaven?â You snap back at Mr Martin as Wally just stands there quietly. âThatâs the thing with this school we have no idea why we are trapped here, we just are. If you try to leave the school grounds you get, put back to where you died.â Mr Martin explained ignoring your snappiness. âNo, that ridiculous what do you mean we are stuck here?â Wally expressed as he pushes his hair back with one hand and the other on his hip. âIt means quarterback if you try to leave school some force, we donât know about pushes you back to the place you diedâ Rhonda snarled already bored of the conversation. She walks off down the hall towards the teachersâ lounge. âIgnore her, she gets a bit cranky when she has to explain what has happened to us to new people.â Janet says as she turns to you. âWait others? Thereâs more ghosts?â you express. âYeah, I know itâs a lot, but you will be ok.â Janet says as she starts to walk down the all the same direction Rhonda went.
You and Wally are confused as you look at each other in shock. This is really happening, you and he are dead, there are other ghosts that haunt your school, and you canât leave the school grounds because some force will send you back to the spot you died. âWell, Iâll let you get settled, its already late and I have to prepare for our group session tomorrowâ Mr Martin says and walks away before either of you could respond.
âThis is bullshit, they canât tell us what to do. Iâm leaving this place. Are you with me?â Wally raises is voice with furry. âWally, I think they were telling the truth that we canât leave.â You respond calmly not wanting to start a fight between you too. âWe need to figure that out ourselves. I donât trust them, not just yet. Please Y/N, come with me.â He looks at you eager for you to respond. You not knowing what to do you agree with him. Heâs right whoâs to say they are telling the truth about all of this. You had to make sure of it yourselves. âOk Wally, Iâm with you. But maybe you should change into something else besides your football uniformâ âI think I have some sweats and my varsity jacket in the boyâs locker room.â Wally says and you and he start walking in the direction of the boysâ lockers. You wait outside and wait for him to change. Once heâs finished you both decide to head to the main entrance of the school and try to leave whatever nightmare you both woke up in., he takes your hand as you reach the end of the school property. You both at the same time walk across and⊠bam you are by yourself starting up at the sky in the school parking lot. Great just great you thought they were telling the truth that means Wally is on the football field you get up and run towards the field and you see Wally was already running towards you. âWell, I guess they were right, we canât leave. This is so fuckedâ Wally expressed as you finally met. âItâs ok Wally, Iâm scared too but I think we have to learn to trust those guys. By the way they are dressed they look like they have been here for a while.â You respond back and worry washes over you still in shock and in disbelief that this is happening. âOk your right. Letâs go back inside and find somewhere to rest because I sure as hell Iâve got a lot of questions for them.â Wally says in a calmer tone then before.
You both head back inside and then Wally remembers something. âHey Y/N, you said before the homecoming game you wanted to tell me something, what was it?â âOh, umm it doesnât matter I was just going to ask if you wanted to go to the diner after the game for some ice-cream before we went back to your place.â You respond back. That was the quickest youâve ever come up with a lie before because now is not the right time to tell him your feelings when you both are so vulnerable right now. He nods not saying anything as you continue to walk around the school trying to find somewhere to rest⊠wait do we even need to rest if we are dead? You keep that thought to yourself as you and wally head to the library remembering thereâs couches there.

Summary:
It was finally the big homecoming game, and you were about to tell your best friend that you are in love that is until tragedy strikes leaving you heartbroken
Part 2:
It was finally Saturday which means tonightâs the homecoming game and the day you tell wally you are in love with him. The day went by like a blur and you were getting ready for the big game but not before a phone call from Wally.
âHey, Y/N you ready for the best homecoming game of your life!â Wally expressed basically screaming through the phone. âGeez Wally that was loud, and yeah itâs going to be a great gameâ you said shyly hoping Wally wouldnât notice that your voice is begging to shake. âSorry Darling, I just hope I will do my mom proudâ he expressed as his tone changed. âOf course, she will be Wally. After the game I want to talk to you I have something kind of important I want to talk aboutâ You replied. âYeah, sure thing, meet in your spot?â Wally said a little curious to what you want to talk about. âSure, Wally, Iâll see you there.â You responded as you hang up to phone stomach full of butterflies so nervous but knew you were ready to admit your feelings to him. You get dressed in black jeans, a blue sweater and one of Wallyâs old lettermen jackets he gave to you and went downstairs to meet your mom and Sister to leave for the game.
You arrive at school and head to the football field and get your seats. You see Wally on the filed stretching, and you lock eyes. You feel the butterflies in your stomach ease as soon as you see him. You held up a thumbs up and mouth âYou got thisâ and just like that the game starts. Yelling and screams surround you normally making you uncomfortable but you didnât care you were there for Wally and thatâs all that matters.
The first half of the game went quickly and its already half time the Devils are winning, and you canât help but feel this overwhelming sense of happiness as you see Wally score a touchdown. The crowd is full loud and screaming with joy of such a great game, and you canât help but to also join in too -something you never do but this time felt different-. As the cheerleaders finish their cheers the players head back on to the field.
âClark has the ball and heâs running fast looks like heâs wanting to get his first touchdown of the game. Heâs almost there and BAM down goes Clark, that tackle looked badâ The game announcer yells over the PA system as the crowd goes quiet. You start to immediately feel dread wash over you and you feel numb. âThis isnât looking good for Clark heâs not movingâ The announcer continues but all you feel is worry as his team and coach surround him and you see the coach hold up the time out signal. More worry washes over you. You jump out of your seat and bolt onto the field not caring if you will get yelled at. You run like youâve never run before until you reach him lying on the ground lifeless. âWe need a medic statâ Coach yelled as the team all gasp and are in shock. You get on the ground, hands on his chest wanting to feel heâs breath. Nothing. âWally, Wally can you hear me? I need you to wake up please wake upâ You cry as tears stream down your face struggling to breath. You feel the medic lift you up to check on him. The medic looks him over and says âIâm sorry but heâs gone. His neck is snapped it would have been instantâ Numb all you feel is numb as you watch Wally, your best friend maybe even the love of your life on the floor dead. You fall next to him again and scream out in pain. Sobbing and barely even breathing properly âI⊠I was going to tell him. Why did this have to happen whyâ You canât keep it together his team and more people crowd around you. You feel your mom hug you from behind. âOh, my sweetheart Iâm so sorry.â You turn and give her a full hug and you look around wondering where his mom is. âWhere is Wallyâs mom?â you say confused as you thought she would be with you crying over him. âSheâs over there talking to the medics and waiting for the cornier to come.â Mom replies softly. You look over and you see his mom in tears as she talks to the medics. Mom though hesitant tries to get you off the field âNo mom, I donât want to leave him please, let me stay with him until the cornier gets here.â You tremble as you take his hand still warm. Without saying anther word your mom gets up and leaves you there with him. You donât even notice that the team is gone already. The game is over, and everyone is already making their way home. Still in shock over what happen in your head you tell yourself. âI canât believe I never told you how I felt, I should have a lot sooner. The pain of losing you is consuming me. I donât know how I will carry on my life without you by my side. I love you, Wally Clark.â More tears stream down your face and donât even notice the cornier has arrived to take Wally. âGoodbye Wallyâ you say as you choke on your words never thought would have to those words ever. You walk to your mom still crying and numb.
