This man is a Freak with a capital F. Jaw dropping, eyes rolling back, sheet grabbing, pantie dropping, pussy dripping freak.
Munch Munch Munch, idc if it's an outdated term it’s the only way i can describe him. He’d have you on your back or stomach for hours while he lays between your legs. He won't stop until you’re begging and crying for mercy. (I need a lobotomy)
With that being said he would beg you to sit on his face. He doesn't care how light or heavy you are, he needs your full weight pressed against him while he eats you out from below. He’d make a complete mess of you. Have you doubled over, body limp as you try to pull your hips away only for him to pull you back down begging to make you cum just one more time.
He’s a romantic but the poor guys been dead for 40 years and there aren't a lot of options in the school so forgive him if he's a little selfish at first. He’d absolutely destroy you, a rough brutal pace while he whispers sweet nothings in your ear.
On that note he's very vocal. Loves telling you how beautiful you are especially when you’re on your knees for him. “Fuck baby, you look so beautiful taking me down your throat like that.” Said as he wipes away the tears gently running down your face. (Again SOMEBODY SEDATE ME)
After your first time together he wouldn't know how to keep his hands off you. The memory of you beneath him constantly playing on repeat in his mind.
He loves the idea of showing you off and since the living cant see either of you he uses it to his advantage. He will fuck you anywhere and everywhere. Over a desk in the middle of an active class? Why the hell not? In the pool while the swim teams practicing? He's diving right in. Teachers lounge while the sad sacks sit around drinking coffee? Absolutely.
Lets not forget about the resets. The body never changes aka infinite energy. Round after round after round.
(Okay I’m done. I wrote this at work so sorry if it's shitty. Honestly I think I'm losing my mind. Like actually clinically insane. I think it’s time I call my therapist. Happy valentines day 😚 💞)
Cannot be bothered to complete my assignments but will write thousands of words for a fic in one night
Summary: I’m obsessed with Wally Clark and Lizzy McAlpine and this idea came to me a few weeks ago

It had been 4 months since the wretched night in September.
Unusual coldness filled the night air, irony to the heat felt deep within your soul, burning with heartbreak. Wally said he loved you, he really did, but he didn't think this was working anymore. But there was no doubt in your mind he was lying. You truly loved him with everything in you, and if he felt the same, he would never be able to stand here and so causally break your heart.
Every thought relied on his opinion. Every outfit you wore and every way you fixed your hair, consumed by his likeness to it. Every decision you made, wondering if Wally thought it was the smartest one. Every part of you was intertwined with him.
Perhaps it wasn't the healthiest way of thinking, but Wally was nothing but all consuming. And he felt the same.
Until he didn't.
He said this relationship just wasn't good for either of you anymore. That maybe you wanted two different things. Though, all you ever wanted was to be loved by him.
He held you as you cried. Close. Maybe because he knew it would be the last time. Tears stained your face when you begged him to tell you what you had done wrong. Pathetic sobs choked from your throat through promises that, "I'll change" and "Whatever you want, Wally, I'll do it". What had become so different between the two of you that it was relationship ending? You said you would change whatever he wanted about yourself to satisfy him, and you meant it.
Pathetic wasn't the word to describe the scene. But you were 18, and so in love. The world was ending, and you were sure of it. Death by a broken heart would be etched across your tombstone—your murderer? Wally Clark.
He sighed, painfully, an ache settling deep within his chest. He didn't want to do this, but he knew he had too. Gentle hands rubbed your back whispering that you did nothing wrong, and that you were a great girlfriend.
Were.
The past tense of it all eradicated you, not finding it possible that he was already so detached; seemingly so moved on from your relationship already. Bile burned the back of your throat, sickness swirling in your stomach.
Eyes low and dark, he looked down at you. Guilt manifested there, the gloss over his pupils serving as proof. They looked different now. Not the ones you used to know, for he was not the Wally you used to know anymore.
He felt just as lost, even if you could never believe it. It had been the hardest thing he had ever done. Breaking your heart on purpose hurt him deeply, but feeling you slowly drift away killed him. The end was inevitable, high school relationships didn't last forever. He wanted to end it before you both hated each other and would think back on this relationship with a sour taste in your mouths.
Truth be told, you and Wally had been fighting a lot. It seemed like no matter the issue—big or small, you guys were now constantly butting heads. Everything ended in a disagreement, with you storming off and him running a few laps around his neighborhood to blow off steam.
When football practice ran late and he had arrived to your house at 6:12 instead of 6 on the dot, it was a problem. Or when you were going to make the two of you late to your plans, knee deep in a bottle of hairspray because your hair wouldn't sit right, it was "totally inconsiderate" of other peoples time.
Point was, things that you two would before laugh about, turned into instant bickering and short term grudges. But every relationship had problems. Not one seemed to large to work through for you, but apparently to Wally, they were.
The car ride home was one that you wished to forget. Bumps in the road made your already unsettled stomach twist with nausea. Time seemed to drag, the short ride from his house to yours feeling no less than a century long. Black stretched across the night sky, and you wished to fall into a black hole on your own.
His car, his scent, the insignificant items of yours scattered through his car, like the scrunchie you kept in the passenger side door—they all felt haunted now. The ghost of your first love a fear much greater than you anticipated.
Micheal Jackson played softly through the speakers of his '81 mustang. Memories of you two dancing to the same song burned through your brain, knowing that when you exited this car, it would all be in the past. Now, the only dancing the two of you did was around the fact things would never be the same.
When he pulled up to the front of your house, your heart tightened in your chest. You wanted to scream. To tell him to put the car in reverse and take you back to his house, so you could have a sleepover, like you always did on Friday nights after a game. But you didn't. You let the hot, wet tears stream down your face as you looked at him one last time. He was right there—only a foot away, yet the farthest he had ever been.
He let himself out of the drivers side, walking around to the passenger side to open your door for you like he had so many times. Regret coursed through his veins as he watched you walk up to your front door, quickly disappearing into the house he too knew like the back of his hand. He thought maybe he jumped the gun too quickly. His mind hadn't been in the right place for weeks. With it being his senior year, football was all-consuming. The pressure of getting a scholarship almost as debilitating as the pressure from his own mother. But it was too late now; your front door was closed and you were gone.
Heart heavy in his chest, he closed his eyes, wondering if he had made the right decision. He only drove off when he saw the light of your bedroom flick on, knowing you were safe in your room. He was always good like that.
—————————————————————————
You met Chris Sumner a month after your heart had been ripped from your chest. Well, you had always known him. He had attended Split River with you all these years, but your conversations had always been minimal.
Throat still tingling from shot you and your friend had taken just a few moments ago, he had offered to get you another drink. It was obviously a ploy to talk to you, as your newly gathered drink sat basically untouched in your left hand. You eyed the mystery liquid in your cup, offering him a small smile before setting it down beside you.
"Sure." You nodded, watching as his smile grew. He too eyed the cup beside you, content that his poorly thought out plan to talk to you had worked.
Him taking your hand in his surprised you, but you didn't pull it back. Instead you walked hand in hand with this boy across Jenny Parker's crowded basement, practically the whole class of '84 accompanying the room. You cursed yourself when the immediate thought that ran through your brain was how different his hand felt than Wally's. It had been a whole month since you felt his touch, but the feeling of him was tattooed throughout every inch of your skin, like a disease you couldn't get rid of.
Guilt hit you like a ton of bricks when you locked eyes with Wally across the party. He was talking to his best friend, Micheal, a half drank beer clutched in his hand that most certainly wasn't the one intertwined with yours. You watched as his smile faltered for only a second before he repositioned his body more toward his friend, effectively blocking himself from the scene before him.
You would never, ever cheat on Wally, but this felt like the closest thing to it. It felt like you had wronged him, committing the ultimate betrayal. It wasn't like you were talking to Chris against your own will, you wanted to, just didn't want Wally to see it. Even though he had quite literally shattered your heart, you had no interest in breaking his.
You lead Chris outside, away from the wandering eyes and the whispers of your classmates. Out of Wally's sight. He watched as the two of you disappeared out of the back door.
The rest of his beer was gone with one long swig.
Talking to Chris felt okay. You didn't know how else to explain it. He was sweet, thoughtful, it seemed. He made you laugh, and not just a pity laugh. Wasn't as douche-y as you once thought. He hadn't tried anything weird; he really seemed like he just wanted to get to know you. It felt nice.
So when he offered to drive you home that night, you let him. The two of you walking out to his car together didn't go unnoticed. Katie Murphy ran up, bangles clattering and hair bouncing.
"Leaving so soon?" She asked, obviously wearily looking between the two of you, analyzing the pairing in front of her. She always had a knack for being in everyone’s business.
"Yeah, Im not feeling so well, so Chris offered to give me a ride home." Was all you gave her, a small smile occupied your lie. You didn't know why it felt wrong to tell her the truth. You wanted to leave with him, you felt fine, so you weren't sure why the truth tasted so nasty in your mouth.
"Well have fun, you two." She winked at the two of you, Chris inhaling sharply at the gesture. She tightened the scrunchie that held up half of her hair—of course matching the shimmery blue that accompanied her eyelid—and turned away, practically skipping back into the party.
You would've bet all your money she was be-lining to Wally, telling him all about what she just witnessed. Most likely adding in things that definitely did not happen. If you could count on Katie for anything, it was to stretch the truth so much it became a lie, or just to simply make up a rumor in the name of gossip.
But you shouldn't care. Wally broke up with you after all, and you weren't doing nothing he wasn't aloud to do.
Chris suggested you guys leave, and it was only then you realized you were there, stuck, in the place Katie had left you. Staring at the door she disappeared in, fantasizing about what you were sure she was telling Wally. You nodded in response to Chris, climbing into a car that wasn't the one you had gotten so used to.
Giving him directions to your house felt strange, considering the first place Wally drove to when he got his license was your house. He had been talking it up for weeks, so excited to take you on a 'proper' date where neither of your parents had to drop you off and pick you up. 25 minutes early knocking on your bedroom door, too antsy to wait for you at the front door.
But that was all in the past now, and Chris was asking if your house was the one with the brick, or the blue shutters.
"I had fun tonight." He said softly, just as your hand made contact with the door handle. Moonlight shined on his face, his expression kind. You offered him a small smile.
"So did I." It wasn't a lie. Even after after all the memories that came flooding back of Wally and a side of guilt, you did have a good night with Chris. If you didn't want to talk to him, you wouldn't.
Since your breakup with Wally went public, which only took until about second period of that following Monday, several boys had tried to talk to you. Standing your ground had never been an issue, and you had no problem telling those boys no. Chris wasn't pushy, or had an obvious agenda to just get you in the bedroom, and you liked that. It was the bare minimum, but at the same time, you hadn't met many boys your age that surpassed it.
"What are you doing tomorrow night?" One foot already on the pavement, he blurted quickly. You quickly pulled yourself back in the car, shutting the door with a laugh.
"Me and Jenny are going to the mall at 11:30, but after that, nothing." He nodded, looking to either side of him.
"Would you want to go out to dinner, I could pick you up at 6? Or if you don't want to, that's fine; I know things are kinda," he coughed, "fresh between you and Wally—" His awkwardness was adorable, but you didn't need him to ramble on and explain himself to give him an answer.
"Yes, Chris, that would be really nice." Relief washed over him, scared he came off too strong too soon. Over you too, as you didn't expect the words to come out so easily.
He smiled, and soon enough the two of you had been talking for another 30 minutes. About what restaurants you liked to go to, your favorite spots around Split River, and what stores you and Jenny were planning to stop in come tomorrow afternoon.
When you yawned for the third time, Chris figured it was time to call it a night. Walking through your front door, you tuned to give him a wave. Through the darkness, you could still see that he was looking at you. Chris waved back, white teeth glowing in the midnight air. Quietly shutting your front door behind you, you smiled.
Proud of yourself, as you never saw yourself being so okay committing to a date with a boy that wasn't Wally. It felt quick, but was there ever really a good time?
That same smile fell quickly when as if like clock work, the second you took a step into your house, the landline echoed, the ringtone especially piercing in the middle of the night. You cursed as you tip toed over to it in record time, not wanting it to wake your parents. Whatever lunatic calling at this hour better have had a good reason.
"Hello?!" You answered, most likely sounding more frantic that you intended to be.
The voice that came through the speaker was undoubtedly Wally. Slurring the nickname only he called you, the one that would take anyone else a second to even register that it stemmed from your name. It was silly, but he had called you it since you were kids. Heart clenching, you shut your eyes in defeat.
Defeat in the way that the alcohol laced word could've made you cancel your date with Chris in a heartbeat.
Maybe you weren't as okay as you thought.
"Wally, what you doing? And where are you? You sound wasted." You couldn't help but be worried. Wally loved to party just as much as the next person, and had the tendency to take it a bit too far sometimes. You couldn't even count the amount of times you two had sat on the bathroom floor, him hunched over the toilet as you rubbed his back. Gross, but true.
"At home. But I'm about to come get you." Hiccups interrupted his slurred speech and you wondered when he had gotten so drunk. Sharply inhaling, you knew this had to do with him seeing you with Chris.
"The hell you are not. You can't drive like this, do not even think about it." You whisper yelled into the phone, overly cautious of your volume, knowing your parents were light sleepers. You didn't want to deal with the questions your parents would have if they heard this conversation.
"Swear I will." He mumbled into the phone, probably not even knowing what he was swearing to. The worst part? If he was sober, calling for the first time in a month, you might've just let him come get you. But he broke your heart, didn't even try to work on your relationship before calling a year in a half quits over a few meaningless fights. As much love you had for him, there was just as much anger where that came from.
"No you won't. Go to bed." You took the phone away from your ear, getting ready to set it down. Just before it hit the little button that would cause it to hang up, you pulled it back to your ear. "And drink some water." You finished, setting the phone down with more force than you intended. He was mumbling something when brought the phone back to your ear, but you didn't stay to hear it.
Because he didn't stay when things got rocky.
You stayed up by the phone for a week straight after he broke up with you, hoping he would call and take it all back. Fantasizing each day in school that he would come up to you, telling you he was the biggest idiot to live, that he was sorry and a coward. That never came.
You knew he was hurting too in all of this, each game running less yards than the last. Or when he showed up to with school puffy eyes and told everyone he had just stayed up too late the night before. But he was the one that made the mess, and you wouldn't be the one to fix it, even if it killed you to walk past him like a stranger.
So, no, a drunk call at 1:30 in the morning wasn't cutting it for you. You knew him inside and out, and if he wanted something, he would get it. Therefore, if he wanted you back, he would've tried. And he didn't.
With all that being said, you found yourself waiting up on your porch until the sun was rising. You had to make sure he didn't drive to your house in the manor he was in. Wally was nothing if not a man of his word. The only time he ever lied was, thankfully, that night, and when he said you guys would be forever.
Although you hated to admit it, a small part of you hoped he would show up. Maybe Micheal would drive him, or hell if you cared, he could've walked. You wanted to him show up, just like the movies, confessing his love. Replaying the hypothetical conversation in your head over and over, you kept a steady eye on the road. Every car that passed was him only for a second, before your eyes focused and you realized it wasn't him.
Disappointment wasn't a feeling you ever associated with Wally Clark until recently.
————————————————————————
The following days at school had been just like the past month. Neither of you looked at each other, continuing to carry on as strangers.
You and Wally never spoke about the drunk call that night, or the fact you left with Chris. And so, you and Chris talked. A lot.
As the weeks would pass, your feelings for Chris grew stronger, but so did your longing for Wally. It made you feel evil, looking for parts of him in Chris.
Chris was kind. Gentle. Caring. He got you flowers every week. Held the door for you. Really listened when you talked. He never raised his voice at you. He was good, but he wasn't him.
Like on January 1st at 12:00, when you kissed Chris and Wally kissed Eliza Benson, your first thought—or twelve, didn't pertain to Chris or the new year. You wondered if Wally remembered that this day two years ago was when you shared your first kiss.
Or when Chris asked you if you knew that song; of course you did, everyone did. But you didn't mention that was your and Wally's song.
And Especially now, as you lay flat against the sheets of Chris's bed. It was January 8th, which would've been your and Wally's two year anniversary. Chris didn't know that, and he never would.
No one had ever seen you in this way, no one expect Wally.
It didn't feel wrong that you were about to have sex with someone that wasn't Wally, as your sure that he and Eliza had done it multiple times. What did feel wrong, was the way you closed your eyes, tight, erasing Chris entirely.
He asks if you're okay, your face all scrunched up in a look that could only be described as unpleasant. You assure him you're fine.
You're fine.
You smile when you look into his eyes. For a second you allow your self to be there, in the moment with him. You like him a lot, you truly do. But like in every thing else, the ghost of your first love is haunting you.
His chain hits your chin as he pumps himself in and out, but it's silver, not gold. You take it in your fist anyway, pulling him closer by it. Kissing his mouth, you fake a moan. It felt good, but you felt evil.
Chris had done nothing wrong; in fact, he had done everything right. His only crime was not being him.
"I love you." He whispers into your neck, and you thank whatever god is above that he can't see your face. Your hand finds his back, pressing down for him to go deeper.
You can feel the weight of his body against yours, but his words held the weight of the world. It felt dirty coming from him, like it some forbidden spell that shouldn't be repeated out loud in fear of conjuring some urban legend ghost.
And it did just that. Once again, Chris and his presence was gone, replaced by Wally. Those words were sacred, for only you and him to share.
"I love you too." But you're talking to Wally, not to Chris. It's a lie, it's all a lie. But you would rather lie than ever admit what was circling through your brain right now. He didn't deserve it.
You can feel him smile against your skin, and your eyes close, imagining Wally's sweet smile. Like the one he smiled at you just over two years ago, after you kissed for the first time. People screamed and shouted around you, celebrating the new year, but the two of you were silently celebrating the start of something entirely different.
Even with all those people around, you only saw him. Much like now, how the only thing you could think of—or see, was him. You both were only 16 then, and had the world in front of you. You wondered what the world had in store for Wally Clark, and especially, what place you had in it.
It's all wrong. His scent, his sheets, the way he feels inside of you, but especially you. You are so wrong for feeling this way, and you know it. You feel a pit deep in your stomach; it's not from pleasure.
When he flips you around, your cheek lays flat against the mattress and your eyes close again. Wally is inside you, just like he has been a million times before. His hands are tight against your hips, gripping onto the skin there.
It's over then, hot, filthy streams of Chris across your back. You sigh of relief, feeling more empty than before you started. He collapses on the bed beside you, grin serving as proof that you got away with your crime of identity theft.
"That was really good" He looks between your eyes than your lips. You swallow, praying your face won't give you away. Guilt tears through you, stomach turning with disgust.
"It was." The two of you smile at each other. One criminally fake, and one real.
—————————————————————————
"I need to tell you something." You start, your voice just a whisper as you look behind Jenny, watching as your other friends were finishing up in the lunch line. You didn't want the others to know.
Curiosity fills her face, giving you a side eye. "What's up?" She asks, slight weary after studying your face. It was unreadable. Not surprising, as you didn't even know how to feel.
"Me and Chris... ya know. Last night." Your voice isn't above a whisper, leaning in close to ensure your best friend heard you. She backs up, a slow grin growing across her face.
"No way?" She raises her eyebrows. "You scandalous little thing!" She squeals, always one to love hearing all the latest gossip.
"So tell me, how was it? Totally amazing?" Head in her palms now, she looks at you with wide eyes, ready to hear all the details. "Was his thing bigger than Wally's?" She adds, voice low, but in all seriousness. You laugh, you can't help it, she's ridiculous. Jenny had no filter, and along with that, practically no sense of TMI.
All your friends were super surprised at how well you handled your breakup with Wally. Or, in reality, how good you were at hiding it. But that was something you chose to keep close to you and not share. As far as your friends were concerned, you were over him and thriving. You wanted to keep it that way.
"You're ridiculous, Jen." Swatting away her question with your hand, you laughed.
"Oh, no, but I'm serious." She nodded her head, confirming her own thought.
"Trust me, I know you are." Your heart rate quickened when you saw the rest of your friends start to walk over, not wanting to share this just yet. You didn't want it to be the hot talk of lunch. You needed another day to process it before talking about it with all the girls. More or so rehearse what you would say and how you would say it, to feed into the idea that you were over Wally, and happy with Chris.
"So.... Let's hear it! I want all the details. Top to bottom. Literally. Actually, I hope you weren't on top. I hate doing it, like ugh, It's so bor—"
"Jenny stop! Yes, it was good," you lied, "and no, he wasn't bigger than Wally." You cursed yourself at the way your voice faltered when you spoke his name. The clearing of the throat that followed only gave you away further.
Jenny frowned at you, head titling to the side in analyzation. "You're not still hung up on him, are you?"
The way she worded it hurt, like it was ridiculous if you weren't over him by now. It had only been four months, and you two were together for a year and 8 months. In her defense, you did quite literally have a whole other boyfriend, which is also probably why you felt like such a horrible person constantly. Guilt weighed heavy on you each day, and being proposed with the question made you feel rotten inside.
"No, no, not at all. I'm happy with Chris, he's great." You were quick to defend yourself. Maybe too quick. But Jenny didn't have time to give your reaction any further thought, as the other girls had walked over to the table. While she looked up to greet them, loud and welcoming, you stole a quick glance at Wally.
He sat at his undesignated designated football table, where all the other players sat, even if the season had ended. You watched as he laughed, mouth open, and head thrown back at something his friend said.
He was the only person in this world that could see right through you. You prayed that the disconnect between you two paired with the act you put up was enough for even him to not notice you pushing it all down.
And even worse, you prayed he felt the same.
to the anon that requested this, i know this isn't exactly what you asked for, but inspiration struck. i hope you like it.
cw: wally certified yearner and loverboy, me not knowing how to describe dancing, allusions to reader being murdered in a very traumatic way by her dance partner but no specifics, sfw

Wally knows that what he’s attempting to do is misguided at best, and probably disastrous at worst.
The idea came to him a few weeks ago. He’d been sitting with Charley and Rhonda, shooting the shit in the gymnasium before their meeting with Mr. Martin, when he’d asked, “Is it possible to break a ghost out of their loop?”
To Charley’s credit, he’d attempted to take the question seriously. Rhonda had just rolled her eyes, removing the ever present lollipop from her mouth before interrupting.
“Again with this? Come on, loverboy. Not gonna happen.”
Charley sighed, tutting at Rhonda before turning back to Wally, a sympathetic look on his face, “There’s always a chance it could work, but if you’re talking about who we think you’re talking about, I’d say they’re pretty slim.”
“More than slim, I’d say,” Rhonda butts in again, “I’m surprised she hasn’t worn a hole through the floor, with the way she dances. Like a ballerina in a music box.” She spins her lollipop through the air, follows it with her eyes before shoving it back into her mouth.
“Have I ever told you your attitude is annoying?” Wally asked, sinking back into his chair and crossing his arms over his chest, ignoring the scoff from Rhonda’s direction, “I’m just saying. We’ve never even tried. What if she’s like, aware in there, like in her mind.” He reaches up to run a hand through his hair - a nervous tick he hadn’t lost, even in death.
“Does it matter? She’s still stuck here like the rest of us. Better to spend eternity dancing than dealing with the banalities of high school.”
Mr. Martin walked in then, effectively ending the conversation. Through the whole meeting, Wally couldn’t stop thinking about it. He’d seen you in the auditorium before, looping over and over, stuck in an endless dance for two but lacking a partner. It’s a rare thing for a ghost to act the way you do - there haven’t really been any other deaths at the school that were traumatic enough to warrant a loop like yours, and he’d been determined to break you out of it. Screw Rhonda, he’d thought. He could do it, he just needed to figure out how.
The problem was, Wally knew nothing about dancing. He's not the smartest guy. He knows that, but he’d been brainstorming different ways to break you out of your loop for a while now, with nothing to show for it. It’d been grating heavily on his nerves.
In a moment he’d regrettably look back on, he’d gone so far as to join you on stage to attempt a fake out. When he’d lunged at you, and you hadn’t even blinked in his direction, he started to think Rhonda was right. You couldn’t see him, you couldn’t hear him. You were stuck up there, doomed to spin around the stage for God knows how long and there was nothing he could do about it.
Then one day, something really fucking weird had happened.
—
He’d taken to sitting in the audience, to watch you dance. It was weird, more than a little morbid and slightly obsessive, but watching you move was captivating to him.
He found some similarities between dancing and playing football - the finesse needed to dodge and weave through people trying to tackle him was one thing - but he’d never seen anyone move the way you do. Every move you made had purpose. The lines created by your arms and legs, the softness with which you carried yourself from one end of the stage to the other.
Preoccupied with the pressures his mom applied to him, the weight of the world on his shoulders, he’d never taken an interest in dancing, other than the awkward slow side to side swaying he’d done with his Junior year girlfriend at the prom. Now, he wishes he could dance with you - wishes you could teach him to move like you do.
You’re stuck there, like a spinning top that refuses to fall - unable to fall. Except, as he was watching you, something unthinkable happened.
You were looking at him. Like, looking straight at him.
It took him more than a few seconds to realize what was happening, and even then he couldn’t believe it. Charley had talked to him about dancers having a spot to look at when they’re spinning - how it keeps them from falling over, keeps them from becoming dizzy and messing up. Was it possible Wally just happened to be in the seat you used as a spot?
He couldn’t tell if there was recognition in your eyes, if you were really looking at him or seeing right through him, the way a living person would. But your gaze was fixated on him either way. And your face, it… you just looked so sad. If he didn’t know better, Wally would’ve thought your expression was pleading, looking for help. It only lasted a few seconds, before you turned your head in a different direction and your body followed. It sent him reeling.
He found Charley and Rhonda in the library, and told them what happened. Charley sat up in his chair, struggling to understand what he meant.
“What do you mean she looked at you?”
Wally went to explain it to them again, hoping they’d believe this was out of the norm, “I mean she looked at me, dude. She was up there spinning like she always is, and I was just sitting there watching -”
“You were watching her? Voyeurism doesn’t suit you, loverboy.” Rhonda’s arms were crossed over her chest, legs folded over each other - closed off, like she always is.
“It’s not like that and you know it,” Wally sighed, exasperated, “It was weird. At first I thought she was using me to spot, while she was twirling, but the way her face looked? I don’t know, dude. It was just weird.”
“There’s a chance she was looking at you, don’t you think? We don’t really know how looping works, so,” Charley’s endless kindness is a relief to Wally - especially when he says things like, “I think it’s good, what you’re doing. I wish we could help more.” Charley looks over in Rhonda’s direction, nudging her to say something to Wally.
“Yeah. As much as I give you flack for it, your whole -” Rhonda waves a hand in Wally’s general direction, “boy savior thing, I do wish there was something we could do for her. It sucks. Not having a partner to dance with.” There was a glint of remorse in Rhonda’s eye, more than Wally ever thought he’d see from her.
A spark lights up in Wally’s head, a hidden spotlight finding its mark onstage - landing on you, your flawless form.
“Do you think if I dance with her, that it could break the loop?” Wally asks, looking back and forth between his two friends.
“It’s definitely worth a shot,” Charley shrugs, gaze turning to his left, “Rhonda? What do you think?”
The beatnik pauses for a second, long enough for them to see the cogs turning in her brain.
“Look, I’m not saying it’ll work. Probably won’t. But maybe,” Wally starts to smile, “Just maybe, if you try to connect with her on her terms, instead of trying to force some logic onto the situation, something might change.”
“I don’t know how to dance, though. I don’t even know where to start.” Wally drops his head in his hands, shoulders hunched over. Charley reaches over, splays a hand on Wally’s back and rubs back and forth.
“Think of it like football maybe? You’ve got your plays, right?” Wally nods, sitting up and urging Charley to continue, “Those are like the steps. Formations could be the positions you take, and in dancing, timing is everything. The same way it is in football, at least from what I’ve gathered of the rants you go on. Rhonda’s right. Maybe if you learn how she moves, you can try communicating with her that way.”
Wally sits up, throwing his arms around his two friends, ignoring Rhonda attempting to push him away before jumping up from his spot on the couch. He nearly trips over himself to sprint out of the room and down the hall, towards the auditorium, shouting “Thank you!” behind him.
—
Wally stood in the echoing auditorium, the stage lights illuminating the otherwise dark room. Every day for the past week, he’d come to you - trying to decipher a language he did not speak. He watched you, trapped in your endless pas de deux. Gliding through the same steps, turns, your desperate yearning clear up close.
At first, he’d just tried to mimic you. Clumsy and tripping over his own feet, he’d stumbled through the basic positions, frustrated with himself. His movements were jerky and awkward, a stark contrast to your effortless grace. He felt silly - like a hulking figure trying to copy something delicate and precise, something that took years and years of training.
Slowly, things started to shift. He stopped just watching and copying, instead starting to feel the music that wasn’t there. He began to understand the reasoning behind your movements, the emotions they expressed. He started to see the gaps in your performance, the place where someone was supposed to fit, to complete the cycle you’d been stuck in.
He started to see the places where he could fit.
He wasn’t just mirroring anymore, he was learning the language. Each day he got a little closer, a little less clumsy, a little more in tune with the phantom rhythm that filled the empty auditorium. He was still a football player, and he always would be, but he was learning to use some of that training to become a dancer, too. For you.
Wally knew this might not even work. He’d been in his head about it for a week at this point, and not even Charley or Rhonda could break him out of the loop he’d pulled himself into. He stopped going to the life support meetings in the gymnasium, much to Mr. Martin’s dismay - instead going to spend all of his free time right there next to you onstage.
He put more effort into practicing for this than he ever did for one of his football games, a feeling of true purpose guiding his every movement.
When the day finally came, Wally felt calm. He felt ready.
He walked onto the stage, ready to put his rehearsing to the test. Ready to run the play, to score the winning point. You began your routine, perfect and meticulous and haunting as ever. This time, though, Wally didn’t just watch. He joined you.
He didn’t try to lead, didn’t try to impose himself or change your dance, he simply became your partner. He matched your movements as best as he could, trying to feel his way through the dance. Trying not to be too robotic, but instead trying to move with the same empathy and yearning that he’d watched you dance with over and over.
As you reached the point in your dance where your partner should have joined, Wally was there. He wasn’t a perfect dancer, not by any metric, but he was present. He was the missing piece.
As your movements intertwined, a visible shift occurred. You, you who had been trapped in this endless cycle of longing, suddenly seemed to notice him. Your eyes, usually fixated on some distant point, flickered - focusing on Wally for the first time. Genuinely seeing him. Your eyes filled with tears, and as one of them dropped onto your cheek, Wally went to wipe it away.
The music, which up until this point had only been an idea in Wally’s head, suddenly seemed to fill the auditorium, bouncing off of the walls and echoing around the two of you. Your dance became a true pas de deux, a conversation of movement and emotion.
As the music started to slow, Wally found himself on unsure footing. He hadn’t stopped to think before about how the dance was supposed to end, but it didn’t matter. Grasping his hands in your own, taking the lead and guiding him through the end, the two of you moved in perfect harmony. Spectral echoes of each other, gazes connected and satisfaction blooming.
The yearning in your movements softened, replaced by a sense of completion. The music faded, leaving the two of you in silence. For half a second, Wally thought you’d cross over, leaving him onstage by himself. Instead, you turned to him, a small smile gracing your lips. You didn’t fade. You were still there - as solid as he was.
“Thank you,” you whispered, “You helped me finish.”
Wally stood stock still, surprise still echoed on his features. He couldn’t believe he’d actually done it. You looked around the empty auditorium, eyes tracking over the seats before landing on him again, “I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited to finish that dance.”
“I’m glad I could help you,” Wally stutters out, a pink flush on his face, “I know I’m not the best dancer.” You laugh, a sweet, girlish thing. In the five minutes that had passed since the dance finished, Wally swore he could see the weight being lifted from your chest.
“You were perfect.” A flicker of sadness crossed your face, quickly replaced by gentle acceptance, “I… I don’t think I’m going anywhere, I’m still here, but…” you emphasized, palms open and gesturing to the stage around you, “but, I think it’s different now. I’m not stuck anymore.”
“That’s good!” Wally’s face lit up, empathetic and gleeful.
Your own smile brightened, affected by his sheer amount of happiness for you. You took his hand, solid and steady in yours.
“What do I do now?” you asked, eyebrows turned up and inward, “Do ghosts sleep? I feel like I need to sleep for a month.”
Wally giggled, leading you down the side stage steps and down the rows of seats, out of the auditorium, “We don’t need to sleep, but you can if you want to. You want me to show you my hiding space?” You nod, following him down the hallway.
When he passes the teacher’s lounge, and Charley and Rhonda see whose hand he has grasped in his, he winks at their shocked expressions before continuing down the stretch of linoleum and lockers.
—
Life - or, afterlife, you suppose - has been weird since Wally broke you out of your loop. The first couple of days were extremely rough, spent trying to understand just how long you’d been up on that stage. A new member of Mr. Martin’s life support group, everyone has been extremely welcoming to you.
Because ghosts don’t need to sleep, you haven't experienced any nightmares, something you’re exceedingly grateful for. Even so, you wake up from your naps feeling uneasy. Flashes of the end of your life playing in your mind, reminding you of the circumstances surrounding your death.
You’re not ready to talk to the group about it, but Wally hasn’t left your side since he’d woken you from your reverie. You tell him about it in bits and pieces - about your dance partner, a shy, kind boy, turned cold blooded killer. The specifics of it don’t matter anyways. He can’t hurt you anymore, and according to the computers in the library, he couldn’t hurt anyone anymore - following you into that good night soon after the police had taken him away.
You learn that your family moved out of Wisconsin a decade ago, in an attempt to escape the media following them around and shouting questions at them, about a court case that didn’t happen because there was nobody to put on trial. You hope wherever they were, that they found some semblance of peace.
Wally has been an incredible influence on you, and after settling into what the rest of your eternity might look like, you’ve had the same effect on him. He didn’t expect you to dance again any time soon, if ever, but he’d catch you by yourself sometimes - stretching your legs, sitting on the floor with your arms poised in that certain way.
Then, after a year spent together going to meetings and finding hidden corners in the school to make out like true teenagers, he’d found you in Split River High’s newly minted dance room - sock covered feet gliding over the lacquered floor, hope and joy baked into your movements instead of the grief and melancholy he’d become so accustomed to in your previous routine.
Out of the corner of your eye, when you’d seen him peeking through the window, you’d beckoned him in to join you. You started to truly teach him how to dance - guiding him through Pliés and Relevés and giggling at him when his lanky legs got in his own way.
“You’d be better at this if you were shorter, I think,” you’d said, a smile unable to hide taking over your face, “but you look pretty good.”
“Pretty good? These legs saved you, babe,” Wally scoffed, wiggling his toes to get you to laugh. He always succeeded in that.
“You’re right, you’re right,” you walked over to stand nearer to him, eyes angled upward to meet his honey brown ones, “the prince to my sleeping beauty, how could I forget?”
“Damn straight, I’m your prince,” Wally’s warm hands grasped your cheeks, his mouth lowering to meet yours for a few seconds before gently shoving you away, “now show me how to do that thing again? I think I’m finally getting it.”
—
Rhonda would never admit it, but she’d been especially proud of the effort Wally had put in to drag you from your loop. She knows everyone thinks she’s cold hearted, and she agrees to a certain extent, but she’d known the agony Wally felt when he thought he couldn’t help you. She’d never tell anyone this, either, but she’d snuck into the auditorium the night that he’d broken your loop - woken you up from your neverending nightmare. She’d stood alone, in the back and out of view, a smile etched on her features.
“You go, loverboy.”

Marshmallow Miles
Wally spent the last 40 years haunting the high school. Then spent the last few months within the town limits, adjusting to being a regular student while he got his second chance at life organized. Principal Hartman, Ms. Chung, and Mrs. Moretz—the guidance counselor—banded together to help the formerly-dead reacclimate, and part of that means they all need to graduate.
Except, obviously, Mr. Martin, who Sheriff Baxter's keeping a tight leash on. Or Janet, wherever the hell she is.
Point being, Wally and his friends are still tethered to the place they hate most in the world. Even if there is a light at the end of the tunnel this time, they don't get to enjoy it until they walk across the stage, diplomas in hand.
Which means Wally? Is feeling somewhat-very claustrophobic. Skin too tight, walls closing in, suffocated and nauseous at the thought of having to spend another goddamn second in the town that killed him.
It's as he's listening to you, hanging onto your every word like psalms, that the idea strikes. Light. Bulb. Wausau? Claire's stepdad's ski lodge? You don't say!
He knows your birthday's coming up (Simon made sure to stick post-it notes in every single one of Wally's text- and notebooks to remind him) and he's been fretting over what to do for weeks. But this? This is it! Not only will Wally be able to celebrate you the way you deserve, doing something you seem genuinely keen on, he'll be able to put Split River in the rearview for a whole week.
Is it a little selfish to use your birthday as an excuse to escape? Kind of, sort of, maybe. But he's desperate to find out if he can have a life beyond this. Beyond Split River High and Number 57 and tragedy and discombobulating rise-agains. And the only person he wants to find anything out with, well, is you.
It's two-birds-one-stone, honestly, and don't you always praise his efficiency? Hell yeah, you do. His biggest fan. Besides, he will dote on you, treat you right, make you feel like the center of the universe because you are. At least, you're the center of his, and that's why he has to do this. To prove there's a future with him that has more potential than cultivating small town syndrome.
You catch him grinning that dopey little grin he gets when he's thinking about surprising you, but Maddie distracts you before you can question it. Which gives Wally the rest of lunch to plot into his tater tots.
Thank you, Maddie. Best wingwoman ever.
‗•‗
The plan comes together seamlessly. Everyone pitches in to help bring Wally's vision to life. Claire gives him the keys to her stepdad's lodge. Maddie and Charley morally support Wally as he shops for warm clothes in your size that he can smuggle in his own luggage so you stay in the dark for as long as possible.
Nicole and Rhonda, the unlikeliest of best buds, drag him into The Body Shop and Victoria's Secret—"imagine a romantic bubble bath after skiing all day?" Nicole coos. "Imagine undressing her on a bearskin rug in front of a fire." Rhonda smirks around her new vape.
That's. Really. All the convincing Wally needs to make a dent in the allowance Rodney gives him.
Wally even swallows his pride, puts on his most charming smile, and asks Xavier for his truck. He knows the only reason Xavier agrees is because it's for you, but still, a win is a win. With a general, "hurt her and I'll rip your balls off," from your platonic soulmate, Wally joyfully departs. Tosses the keys in the air and catches them, his chest feeling lighter than it has in decades.
Everything is packed in the truck and ready to go the night before. He called you earlier to impart the vaguest of instructions as to what you should bring, proud of himself for not giving anything away too soon. Even when you asked in that silly-sweet voice, pouting on the screen like a princess, "Please? At least give me a hint!"
No. No hints.
Like a child on Christmas, Wally can barely sleep, he's so excited, but he manages a few hours. Dreams of the world beyond Split River as if he's setting off on some grand adventure and not just driving a 3.5 hour span of state highway.
Tomorrow, Wally will experience a first. Something that was so far out of reach there was no point entertaining it because all it led to was disappointment and regret. Instead there were years upon years of distractions. Mock Trials and obituaries and looking at his feet when he should've looked back.
Wally sometimes wonders if those missed opportunities weren't the yellow brick road that brought him to you. Everyone else walked through The Door with him, but there's no sign of Dawn who crossed over. If Mr. Martin didn't do what he did, Wally might've moved on, and you and he wouldn't exist...
His heart lurches in his chest.
No sense ruminating. You have him. He has you. That's all that matters now. And tomorrow, Wally will have his first real taste of freedom with the only person he wants to share that moment with.
It's going to be perfect.
‗•‗
Wally picks you up just after sunrise. You're grumpy and sleepwarm and, Jesus, Wally loves you. Pouting at him like he's both a menace and your savior. Arms up, lower lip jutted out, a sweet demand of carry me before you slump into his embrace and force him to take your weight. Which he does, easily, big grin on his face as he toddler-carries you to the passenger side of Xavier's truck.
He bundles you in, sets you up with the softest blanket Claire found at Target—Yuri and Ajay not doing their jobs as devil's advocate at all as the cart filled up with Claire's suggestions. Honestly, Wally doesn't care. Especially not after your eyes brighten as you run your fingers over it, wiggling happily in your seat.
"You cozy, babygirl?" He asks as soon as he's behind the wheel and the smile you give him makes him fucking melt.
"You got me a blanket." You state, tucking yourself in more securely; shoes off, feet up, elbow on the console so you can lean over it and kiss Wally's cheek. "Thank you."
Wally blushes, he can't help it, and shrugs as if it's nothing. "I got you a bunch of things, baby," he says as he starts the truck, "Just wait and see. You're gonna feel like a princess, I promise."
You slip your hand into his, fingers laced, and he rests them on your thigh as he drives. Down the street, turn left, continue to the intersection of Main and 4th. Right on 4th, all the way to the end and then left on Pine. Drive until the highway onramp. Now Leaving Split River, We'll Miss You!
Oh God... Wally's heart pounds, blood rushing in his ears. This feels bigger than his first step off school property. Bigger than feeling air in his lungs and a drum in his chest after being hollow for so long.
Somehow, and Wally doesn't know how, you manage to talk him through pulling over, crawling over the console to plant yourself in his lap. Hands cradling his jaw, you press your forehead against his and guide him away from the edge of a panic attack.
"—got you, Wally, I'm right here, you're okay, shh, you're okay..." The steady cadence of your voice sharpens as his breathing regulates. He's holding you like a lifeline, arms fastened around your waist, heaving great gulps of air as he trembles slightly.
"I'm sorry, baby," He gasps and squeezes his eyes shut.
"Nuh-uh, no apologies, Wally Clark," You say firmly. There's a lull before you chuckle, gentle and kind, "Hey, this was a lot better than the night you first stepped across the school boundary line, right?"
Fuck, that was a mess. However, Wally wasn't alone when that happened. Charley and Rhonda and Yuri, Mr. Martin and Ajay, Mina, they were all there too, equally as overwhelmed. Rhonda threw up on Quinn's shoes. Charley passed all the way out. Yuri and Ajay were fine, fuck them, but Mina just...screamed. And then laughed. Then cried. Then screamed some more, listening to the sound ricochet off the surrounding buildings in a way it wouldn't have days before The Door.
Wally snorts, "Yeah. Sure," and finally peeks up at you. Your thumbs stroke his cheeks that he realizes belatedly feel damp. Is he crying? Weak. But you aren't judging him, simply gazing at him like he hung the moon; you're perfect person, the man you love most, and Wally's chest swells. "We're out of Split River," Wally croaks.
You beam at him, "We're out of Split River."
Holy fuck. He's out of Split River.
‗•‗
After climbing out of the truck to holler into the ether. To chase each other around the Now Leaving sign. To grab you, spin you around and fall into the grass as you and he laugh and laugh and laugh, Wally finally gets the show back on the road.
Once again, he tucks you into your seat, takes your hand, checks his mirrors and then pulls back onto the highway, the town that raised him then witnessed his death becoming a speck in the background with every mile marker you and he pass.
He lifts your hand, grazes a kiss to your knuckles, his eyes on the road and his mind on you and everything he has planned for this trip. At the halfway point, he stops for gas, shadows you as you browse the aisles for exactly the right snacks. Fondly gazes after you the whole time as you make tough decisions: Nerds or Twizzlers? Cookies or chocolate? Wally, do I want a vanilla or butterscotch pudding with my Oreos? Because that's a normal combination, what?
He's absolutely no help at all, too busy mooning over you as you flutter between the fridge and the chest freezer, babbling about how integral to your mood it is to pick the right snack. To cover for the fact that he isn't paying attention, Wally grabs a bag of marshmallows off one of the shelves when you call him out for not listening.
"These." He says, holding the bag up and then glancing at the graham crackers and Hershey's displayed at eye-level. "Maybe these?"
"You wanna make s'mores in the truck?" You ask, dubious.
"No," Wally saves himself, "Just these," and he jiggles the bag of marshmallows. They're the jumbo kind; the kind he used to bet his cousin Dennis to eat five of in one bite or else he couldn't play Wally's Magnavox Odyssey.
You consider the marshmallows for a moment and then, with a decisive nod, "And hot chocolate."
"And hot chocolate," Wally agrees, following you around the shop to the coffee station.
Wally pays for everything, hip-butting you (carefully, no spills) out of the way when you try to pass the cashier your card. He takes the bag and the tray of hot chocolate and still holds the door open for you with his heel. No fucking way is his princess lifting a finger on her birthday-slash-Wally's-freedom trip.
For every mile, you dip a marshmallow in your hot chocolate—dipping Wally's as well and feeding him, giggling when he nips or sucks the gooey sugar from your fingertips. It's silly and sweet and Wally basks in every second of it. Every second of your off-key singing, your trivia answers, your arguments over which is better, Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
"You know, I have been catching up on TV shows, right?" Wally laughs, "You can use better examples."
"What's wrong with puppets, Wally? Are you a pupaphobist?"
Wally barks a laugh, "That's not a thing!"
"It definitely is a thing," And you wield your phone, flashing Google as Exhibit A. "So? Are you? Just say it, you hate Jim Henson and everything he stood for."
And it's amazing. It's anything and everything and so much more than Wally could've ever hoped for. Even the quiet intervals when the sugar wears off and the early wakeup call catches up to you; your body curled up in your seat awkwardly just so you can angle yourself right to rest your head on the console and place Wally's hand in your hair.
Adorable little diva.
As you doze, Wally watches the scenery drift by, his lungs expanding more and more with every mile he puts between himself and Split River.
Eventually, he turns off the highway and onto the backroads without you noticing a thing. His fingers card through your hair, trace the shape of your jaw and cheek as he absorbs the softness of the moment and tucks it away behind his ribs. Safe and sound, to be pulled out and cherished when he's alone.
When he parks, he's reluctant to wake you. So, he doesn't. Not immediately. Rather, he spends a few minutes just resting himself, sinking down a little in the driver's seat. Then slants sideways, curls over and around you to kiss your ear, cheek, jaw.
He couldn't dim his smile if he tried, enamored when you protest at first, but then sigh, realize where you are and who you're with before groggily chuckling at Wally's antics.
"Surprise, baby girl," He whispers, letting you sit up so you can take in your surroundings.
The look on your face tells Wally he did a good job. The way you tackle him into the inside of his door and kiss him tells him he's going to have to start planning next year's surprise tomorrow, because, fuck yeah, this is exactly the reaction he's looking for.
Getting out of the truck and staring at Claire's stepdad's lodge; at the trees and the snow and the vast expanse of sky, it hits him again like a ton of bricks.
Holy fuck. He's out of Split River!
‗•‗
He doesn't wait to celebrate. As soon as he closes the door behind him, he reels you in, kisses you deep and hungry while you're only halfway out of your jacket. That's okay, he helps you get it the rest of the way off, along with everything else.
"Let me make you feel good, baby," He whispers against your skin, hands everywhere, his hips rolling into yours as he pins you to the wall beside the door. "Let me show you how much I love you..."
Wally kisses you deep, hungry, groaning into your mouth as he keeps grinding his hard cock against you, fuck, you get him going like nothing else. All you have to do is breathe in his direction and his pants tent.
Heat courses through him, curls tight in his belly and flushes outward to his limbs, God, he needs you. Now. Right fucking now, baby, come on. He carries you to the enormous kitchen island, peels your leggings and panties off and has his lips on you and tongue in you faster than you can cry out his name.
"So sweet, baby," He moans into your pussy, panting, not bothering to breathe in his greed for your taste and pleasure. "Fuck, I can't wait to be inside you."
He spears his tongue in and out of you before teasing little circles around your clit, his fingers plunging into you in place of his tongue. Wally could do this all day and never get tired; the sounds you make, the way you writhe and beg for him, Jesus, he can't imagine ever wanting anything else.
Cruel, desperate, he doesn't care what you call it, he stops right as you're about to come, shoves his sweatpants just below his balls and drags your hips off the counter to punch his cock into you. His head falls back as soon as he feels you around him, so tight and hot, "Fuck, yes, baby, so good for me."
And he sets a frenzied pace, unable to keep himself in check now that he has you like this. His fingers dig into your lovehandles, your legs hooked over his elbows. He's grunting, you're mewling your pleasure, and Wally about loses it before you do. But he doesn't. He's better than that, fucks you like a beast until you scream and shake and squirt around his cock.
It's game over after that. No way can he hold on, his body tensing, hips grinding, as he spills deep inside you. Carefully, he sits you more firmly on the counter and leans in to kiss you, soft, sated, a little blissdrunk in the afterglow. Bodies pressed together, slowly recovering, Wally strokes the arches of your cheeks with his thumbs and gives you a muzzy smile.
"You're my whole world, you know that?" He tells you and then captures your lips in a kiss that quickly turns heated, "I'll do anything for you, baby." Fuck, he's already getting worked up again, needs more of you, always needs more. "I'll die all over again if you asked me to."
"Wally..." You gasp when he rocks his hips forward, driving his cock back into you.
It's just after sundown before you and he finally check out what's beyond the open kitchen/living room space, the table and couch and ottoman and, shit, bearskin rug fully christened in sweat and come.
You and he jump on the beds with childlike glee, music blaring on speakers that cost more than Rodney's mortgage. Claire explicitly forbade Wally from using the master suite so, taking that into consideration, that's the first bedroom he fucks you in—from behind, driving his hips forward while he pulls you back against him. What? He'll do the necessary laundry.
If he remembers...
‗•‗
After a supper of haphazardly thrown together and grossly microwaved nachos, Wally snuggles you between his legs on one of the Adirondack chairs outside, under a thick blanket and dressed accordingly in the thermals and sweater and fuzzy socks he secretly bought and brought for you.
The fire pit blazes, the stars above twinkle, and the land around is a peaceful kind of dark. Not the ominous, suffocating dark Wally grew accustomed to in the confines of the school. The comfortable silence between you and him is accentuated by the crackle and pop of the fire, the scene so peaceful, Wally has to wonder if he ever experienced any such feeling before.
His arms tighten around you and he presses a kiss to your cheek from behind, watching the flames dance as you lance another marshmallow on your stick.
Tomorrow is your birthday and he intends to take you skiing. Or, when he knows you'll diplomatically decide to trade skis for slippers, he'll bring you back here at noon and spoil you rotten with presents and a homecooked meal; that bubble bath Nicole suggested (thank you, Nicole), and a long night on that bearskin rug (thank you Rhonda).
It's going to be an incredible week, he assures himself. And on Saturday, the others will arrive while he takes you into the resort town to explore so they can set up your big surprise party. Yuri will grill in a t-shirt, and Charley will force everyone to play '90s boardgames he died too soon to play, and Rhonda will make everyone take shots whenever Wally gives you heart eyes just to watch the messiness unfurl.
Claire will probably reprimand him for fucking in her parents' bedroom, but Wally doesn't care. Because it means he celebrated you right. That you and he had fun. That there's evidence of the fact that, for the first time in 40 years, holy fuck, Wally made it out of Split River!

Summary: The ghosts head back to school one last time for prom but Wally has another plan up his sleeve…
It was two days before prom and you and the other ghosts split up in the mall looking for the perfect dresses and the best suits, trying not to think about the goodbye that you will eventually have to face. You were with Janet picking out dresses. You and her are still working through all the issues she and Mr Martin caused, but you have found a way to forgive her and move past it. No point in holding in grudges, you and her are dead and it won’t be long and you two will be going your separate ways. Janet nudges your arm as you are lost in thought. “Y/N this store looks like it has some cute dresses.” She says as she grabs your arm and drags you into the store.
Janet wonders around the store to find a dress, however it didn’t take you long to find the dress of your dreams. You pick up the dress off the rack, and head to a mirror to hold up the dress to your figure. The dress was long, off-white colour with thin spaghetti straps. Structured square neckline flowing down to an A-line skirt to the floor. Janet spots you in the mirror and gasps. “Y/N, that dress is beautiful. Wally is going to love it.” She gushes as you turn your attention to her. “It’s beautiful but it kind of looks like a wedding dress not a prom dress. I’m just going to put it back.” you said, walking back to the rack. “Wait no. I mean yeah it does look like one, but who said you can’t wear it to prom? We can wear whatever we want, and no one can say otherwise, we’re dead.” Janet protests stopping you from putting the dress back. “You know what, fuck it. I’m getting this dress.” You say, as blush washes over your face as you imagine what Wally will say when he sees you in the dress. Unbeknownst to you, that this was his plan all along.
Wally’s POV.
“Guys, quickly gather in here before Y/N wakes up, I want to share something with you.” Wally whispers as he and the others head into the kitchen area of the house you were in. “Wally, I know we don’t really need sleep, but I like my sleep. So, you better have a good enough reason for me to be awake right now.” Charley sassed. “Yeah, what’s going on Walls, and why isn’t Y/N here?” Rhonda asks setting into a seat at the dining room table next to Quinn. “I want to ask Y/N to marry me, and I need your help.” Wally professes.
Silence falls over the room. “Walls, I think it’s great, but were dead. How will it work?” Tommy asked. “That’s where you guys come in. Janet, you will help her find a dress, while Tommy and I can find some rings. And the rest of you make sure she doesn’t find out until prom. I know it won’t be really ‘official’ but it will be for us. And I know she would want this too. I already ran the idea by Lily last night and she agreed to set up something special for us at school.” Wally explained as excitement fills his face.
“I’m in. I can even preform the ceremony. I know it won’t fix things, but I’m hoping it helps.” Janet replies. Tommy, Quinn, Charley, Rhonda, and Yuri all look at each other, then back at Wally. “Hell, yeah we’re in.” They all say in unison as they all rush over to Wally to hug him. “This is the most romantic thing ever! You guys are getting married!” Charley burst out not containing his excitement very well. “Charley, shush, she could hear you.” Wally huffed putting his hand over Charley’s mouth. “Sorry.” He mumbles under Wally’s hand.
At the mall after everyone as split up. Wally makes sure you are out of sight with Janet as he and Tommy were about to pick your wedding rings. “I hope you know what she would like. I don’t know what I’m doing.” Tommy says as he and Wally walk the mall on the search for a jewellery shop. “Relax, I know what she would like. She would always talk about it when she and I were younger. I know exactly what to get.” Wally replied, walking into a jeweller.
Looking through at all the rings, Wally finds one almost imminently that he knows you would love. He goes behind the counter, and carefully opens the window -trying not to get the attention of the shop workers- and he grabs the ring. It was a gorgeous 18 carat white gold ring, round cut with smaller diamonds surrounding it. Wally knew in his heart; this was the right one. He faces Tommy with the ring in his hand. “This is the one” Wally gushed. He then picks up the matching wedding band, the picks out a ring for himself , and quickly hides it as he sees you and Janet walk by.
“Babe?” Y/N says as she enters the store even though Janet tried to guide her elsewhere. “Can’t a boyfriend buy his beautiful girlfriend something for prom? He replies, trying to hide the nerves in his tone. “Aw, that’s sweet Walls. I’ll get back to shopping with Janet then.” She replies as Janet and her leave the store. “Dude, that was close.” Tommy said, sighing out a sigh of relief.
Y/N POV
It was the day of the prom and you; Janet, Rhonda and Quinn were all getting ready in one of the bedrooms. “This prom is going to be the most rememberable one yet!” Janet gushed while doing your hair. “We’ve been to hundreds of proms, all pretty basic.” You shrug. “Don’t say that. Even Rhonda is excited. Right Rhonda?” She says staring daggers at her. “Oh. Yeah. It will be defiantly rememberable.” Rhonda admitted, leaving the room to grab her dress. “It’s just hard, I know what’s coming at the end of the night. I know imp excited to explore the world with Wally, I just… I will miss you all so much.” You sigh. “Don’t think about that now. I’m finished with your hair, go put your dress on.” Janet mutters leaving the room for you to change.
You slip on your full-length dress -or should you say wedding dress- and zip it up along the side. Yeah, it may feel silly wearing a dress that looks like a wedding dress, but Janet was right who cares. You finish putting on the white strapless heels that you found and do one final look in the mirror before exiting the room.
Heading downstairs, everyone is waiting for you. Everyone was all in deep conversation until you were at the bottom of the stairs and Wally’s eyes met yours. He stood there in a black suit and hair all pushed back and perfected like Danny in Grease. Wally’s jaw drops as you make your way over to the group. “Holy shit.” Wally blurted out. “I’m going to that as a compliment.” You expressed, leaning in to kiss him. You break apart your kiss and realise all eyes on you. They all have the same smirk on their face, even Rhonda. “Uh, are you guys, okay?” You wondered raising a brow. “Yep, all good. We got to go.” Charley belts out, running towards the door as the others follow in tow. “That was weird. Charley never runs. What going on?" You ask Wally. “Bets me. He’s probably just excited for prom, you know how he is.” Wally responds, nervously. Okay that was even weirder you thought as Wally took your arm and ushered you out the door.
Arriving back at Split River High should have felt weird but in a way, it felt like home since you spent majority of your life within the walls. Heading into the gym you and Wally head to the drinks table. “I’ll be right back babe.” He mutters and before you could respond he was gone leaving you, Charley, and Rhonda at the drinks table. “That was weird, where could he have gone, we just got here?” You ask putting yours and his drinks down. “I don’t know. Any ideas Rhonda?” Charley said turning to Rhonda. “Uh, maybe he is going to the bathroom, you know check out his hair in the mirror, you know how he gets.” Rhonda responded pressing her lips in a tight line. “Okay? I’m going to go look for Lily.” You said, puzzled on why they were acting so strange. “Wait. Let’s go on the roof, there should be a gorgeous sunset and we know you love those. We can find Lily later.” Charley insisted grabbing you by the arm and ushering you out the gym.
You, Charley, and Rhonda climb up the stairs and get to the door that leads to the roof. “After you.” Rhonda said. You open the door and walk out on the roof where you see Wally in the middle of a circle of candles and flowers. Elvis’ ‘Can’t help falling in love with you’ plays on a speaker as you met him in the middle. You quickly turn back to Charley and Rhonda who smile and close the door behind them.
“Babe, what’s all this?” You ask. Suddenly, Wally was on one knee in front of you. “My Darling, we have known each other for fifty-eight beautiful years. Knowing you is the most precious thing in the world, but that was until I feel in love with you. We might have spent a lot of time hiding those feelings from each other but that’s all in the past. I love you and I want to spend eternity by your side.” He says and he reaches into his jacket and pulls out a diamond ring. “I know we’re dead and it’s not official, but it will be for us. Y/N my love, will you marry me?” “Of course, I will marry you, Wally.” You say with the biggest smile on your face and tears streaming down your face. Wally stands up and you extend your hand for him to place the ring on your finger. “Wally, I don’t want to wait. Let’s get married now.” You gush shaking with excitement. “I’m glad you feel that way Darling because that’s exactly what we are doing. I had everyone help out and plan this.” He cooed embracing you in a hug. Breaking apart the hug he ushers you towards the door, taking you to the library.
The library has been decorated with string lights, candles, and flowers all in yours and Wally’s favourite colours. Chairs on either side of the aisle leading to a floral archway. Wally kisses you on the cheek and says, “See you up there babe.” Lily meets you at the doorway. “You’re giving me away Lily?” you ask her. “Yeah. I mean I know it’s not traditional but-““It’s perfect.” You say cutting her off. You and Lily walk down the aisle of the library with everyone standing, all eyes on you. You make your way to the end and hold hands with Wally as Janet begins.
“Today is the most joyous occasion any person can have, when two souls who have always been made for each other decide to spend the rest of their afterlives together. They have been best friends since birth and then eventually fell in love, Wally, would you like to begin your vows?”
“My beautiful darling, you are the only person in the world I can fully be myself around. You were always there for me when I needed a friend. We went through every single major milestone together, even death. We became trapped in this school with a bunch of other ghosts where I could see you thrive and make more friends. Your kind caring nature is the glue that holds us all together. I don’t know how I would have made it through this place if I didn’t have you by my side. The day you told me you loved me was the best day of my life… afterlife, knowing you felt the same way I did for so long was everything to me. As we set off to explore the world we watched go by for many decades, I promise I will be there for you. I love you darling, and you have made me the happiest ghost ever. You belong with me, and I belong to you.” he expressed as he slipped your wedding ring on your hand.
Janet beamed hearing Wally’s vows knowing that he will be there for you. You were her first best friend, in live and death even though she hurt you. She looks at you and nods, signalling your turn.
“My sweet Walls, I am so grateful to have you and love you. I thought my life ended when I witness you die on that field, like a piece of me died that day, little did I know that fate had other plans. When we both wound up here, I thought I would go insane, stuck in high school, watching the world go by, but you made what seemed like hell, a whole lot of fun. Keeping my feelings from you felt so right but also so wrong on so many levels my heart was torn in two. When you went into your scar and you told me you felt the same way I did, that was the day my afterlife truly began. Wally, my love I am so excited for what our next adventure brings us. ” You professed as lift your hand to Wally’s check to brush away his tears before placing his wedding ring on his hand.
“By the power vested in me by well me I pronounce you husband and wife. Kiss her already.” Janet gushed. Wally grabs you in his arms and dips you planting a soft but passionate kiss on your lips as everyone cheered. “I love you Walls” you whisper in his ear. “I love you darling. Now we celebrate” He whispers back kissing your forehead.
The chairs got pushed aside making way for a dance floor as you and Wally dance to Lover by Taylor Swift that Lily set up on a speaker. Wally leads you in a waltz something he had been secretly practicing for this very moment. After your first dance, everyone joins in on the dance floor. You notice Janet on the sidelines, so you lean into Wally’s ear and whispers. “I’ll be right back, husband.” You nudge your head slightly in Janet’s direction and Wally nods saying. “Okay my love I’ll be here.”
You make your way over to Janet, “Everything okay?” you ask. “I don’t know. Everything is changing so fast. I’m so happy for you and Wally, I really am. It’s just... I just got you guys back as friends after everything Mr Martin and I did, I don’t think I’m ready to be alone again.” she muttered. “You will never be alone, Janet. We will still be in touch. And you didn’t hear this from me”- you lower your voice- “A little birdie told me that Tommy has a crush on you.” “Really, Tommy? I had no idea he liked me.” She responded. “Go over there and talk to him.” You replied. Janet thought for a moment before making her way over to Tommy. “You told her, didn’t you?” Wally asks, making his way over to you. “What can I say, I love seeing my friends happy.” You respond looping your arm around Wally’s.
The rest of the night is a blur, with all the celebrating and dancing but you wouldn’t change it for the world. Maddie, Simon, and Lily come up to you as get ready to leave as the school prom has wrapped up. “I’m really happy for you guys.” Maddie gushes. “Yeah, it was beautiful and weird at the same time attending a ghost wedding.” Simon says with a low laugh. “Wally has actually arranged for a goodbye thing tomorrow. Says he’s got other plans for you tonight.” Lily smirks and gives a wink at you.
Janet, Charley, Rhonda, Quinn, Yuri, and Tommy approach you all hug in a group hug, not a final goodbye just a see you later, as they head back to the house.
“Follow me, my beautiful wife.” Wally said ushering you out the library. You walk the halls hand in hand, and you realise you are heading back to the roof.
🔥
As soon as you and him were on the roof you crashed into his arms, Wally catching you before your both hit the floor. He picks you up in his arms and you wrap your legs around his waist. The fabric of your dress making it nearly impossible for Wally to walk but he somehow made his way over to another spot on the roof that has been decorated and set up with a bed. He gently places you on your feet as you undress each other, lips only breaking apart when taking of your clothing. He then slowly lowers you on the bed and climbs on top of you. His kisses become harder, passionate, deeper. His hand roam your naked body, exploring like it’s something he’s never done before. Your hands make a mess of his hair, returning it to the scruffy dark brown hair.
His left-hand grazes over your breast and using his fingers to squeeze your nipple making you moan, and that sound goes straight to his already harden cock. You can feel the tip lightly brushing against your aching pussy. “Wally.” You moan “Need you. In me. Now” that was like music to his ears as he sits up then, lines himself up and pushes into you. It’s slow at first. He’s making sure you are comfortable and ready before he begins. He quickly gains momentum and thrusts harder into you making your vision blurry and if you weren’t on this bed, you knew your knees would have already given out. He leans back down on top of you and kisses you again. He then trails down your neck, leaving bruises all over your collar.
Continuing to thrust into you hard, you arch your body back and close your eyes as you are already close to cumming. “Already cumming for me my love?” he whispered enough to send you over the edge. “That’s it baby. Let me feel that cum around my cock.” He muttered. Three more hard thrusts into as he cums inside of you. He tilts his head back and groans loudly.
He slowly takes his cock out of your tight pussy as he makes his way down on you. He kisses your inner thighs, slowly making his way to your pussy before his lips crash on to you making you moan out a whimper. “Such a good girl.” He mutters. He starts of slow, dragging his tongue up and down your folds before two of his fingers plunge into you and thrusts fast. His tongue matching the pace of his fingers as you cry his name. “Wally… fuck” making him go faster. You run your hand into his head and lightly tugs at his hair, making him stay there. His glorious brown eyes lock on yours as he knows you are close to cumming a second time. Two… three more thrusts of his fingers and you cum all over his fingers and in his mouth. He groans as he licks you up. You sit up on the bed and crash onto his lips, still tasting your own cum.
Not breaking apart your kiss, your hands run down his back, and you grab his butt cheeks in both your hands, so perfect and round. You can feel his dick twitch when you grab his butt. One hand still on one of his butt cheeks, you move one hand around to his throbbing dick. You start stroking his cock in your hand, teasing the tip with your tumb making him moan. You lower yourself on him and take his cock in your mouth. “Fuck baby” he whines as you continue to suck on his hard cock. He cums in a matter of moments as you lick up his juices.
Wally drops down to your level and manoeuvres you around on the bed, so you are on all fours, ass in the air as he plunges his cock into you again. Your mind is racing, and you squeeze your eyes shut, seeing stars in total euphoria. He finishes and slowly takes his cock out of you and lays down beside you. “That is certainly one way we can remember this night forever with that many orgasms” you huff slightly out of breath. He kisses you again slowly. “Told you I was going to make this the most special night of your life.” He mumbles between kisses laying back and looking up at the millions of stars that are above you.

Part 28:
Summary: The ghosts explore the changed town of Split River and you and the others visit Lily who helps find where their families are. And you and the others decide to go to prom as a farewell before going separate ways.
You wonder around the streets of Split River everything has changed; I mean it has been 40 years things were bound to change. You make your way to Split River Mall per Charley’s request to get different clothes. Though you weren’t sure how you were to get them since your dead, is it considered shop lifting? Would people walk around and see floating clothes making them think they have gone crazy.
“How is this even meant to work?” You pondered as everyone turned their attention to you. Understanding what you meant, Rhonda said. “Maybe it would be like it was when we were at school, we just pick up an object that we want and it’s only a copy, leaving the real one there.” “Can’t hurt to try it out, and if we freak out a bunch of people, we just laugh about it.” Tommy adds laughing. You all enter the Mall and imminently you can smell the waft of food coming from the nearby food court.
“I have an idea.” Wally perked up as you made your way in the direction of the food court. “How about I try to pick some food up from someone, and if it leaves a copy or not. And we can also see if anyone freaks out.” He eyeballs a table full of teenagers, you recognised from school, and one of them happened to be the boy that broke Lily’s heart at Homecoming. “Babe, get his food. If it doesn’t work, I wanna see that kid freak out for what he did to Lily.” You shouted as Wally made, he way over to the table. He stands there for a minute, waiting to tell if any one of them would notice him. They don’t so Wally grabs a bucket of fries from the table and sees it imminently on the table, Rhonda was right. It was just like in school, anything we grab is just a copy of what is in the living world. He makes his way back over to the group with a strut in his step being victorious grabbing the fries. “Fries for my Honey.” He says nonchalantly holding the fries out. “It worked, we can shop and get out of these clothes.” Charley beamed with ideas of what he could get.
“How about we split up in groups, get some clothes and maybe one of those smart phones Dawn always had, so we can communicate with each other. Just because we are free from that place doesn’t mean you guys are getting rid of me. You’re stuck with me for life.” You say giggling at your own words. Rhonda puts her arm around you. “We wouldn’t have it any other way.” She gushed pulling you into a hug.
You all go your separate ways, agreeing to met back in the food court when you were done. You and Wally walked around trying to find the first store to go into. You don’t recognize half the stores in the mall, when you were last in the mall there was about maybe 10 stores, now there seems like 100s. “What about this store for you?” he asks pointing towards Victoria’s Secret. “Okay babe, I know how much you like their stuff considering it’s what I have on right now.” You wink entering the store leaving Wally speechless. “Baby, you coming? I need some help picking out some lingerie for you.” You said in a flirty tone. “Fuck yeah baby, I’m coming. We are going to find you something sexy that I will be stripping off you later” he purred making your stomach fill with butterflies. Even though you and him have been dating a while, he still gives you butterflies.
An hour or so later, You and Wally have finished shopping, finding all new clothes and beauty products. And you got the newest iPhone even though you had no clue on how to use it, something you hope Lily, Maddie, and Simon could help you with. You and Wally make your way to the foot court, where everyone else was already sitting and waiting. “Finally, you guys are here. We have been waiting for half an hour! What took you guys so long?” Janet asked as she ate a Big Mac from McDonalds. “Wally dragged me into Victoria’s Secret, he wanted to pick out some lingerie for me.” You admitted as blush washed over your cheeks. “Gross.” Rhonda cringed. “We all got phones like you said but we can only know the basics from watching others for years with their phones.” Quinn said as she held up her phone. “We are defiantly going to need some help with these if we want to stay connected when we- “Wally doesn’t finish what he’s saying. Saying it out loud that we will eventually go our separate ways after spending decades with each other is hard. They are your family. You’ve known them longer than your actual families.
“What should we do now?” Yuri asks as he loops his arm around Charley’s shoulders-when did that become a thing? – “We were going to see our families though half of our families don’t live here anymore.” Tommy added. “Whose family that we know for sure still live here?” Janet asked finishing off her meal. “Well, we all know my parent’s left town when I died, I don’t know where they live. My sister lives here and Wally’s Mom still lives here. Maybe we could ask Lily when we go there if she can look up if any more of your families are still in town.” You responded. “Good plan Y/N. What do we do with all this stuff?” Rhonda asks. You look around and see a luggage store. “There’s a store over there with luggage we grab some bags and carry them with us until we can find somewhere more permanent.” You pointed out.
With luggage all packed you all make your way out of the mall and head to your sister’s house. You have heard Lily mention in the past that she lives on Heart Lake Ave which is not far from the mall. Ten minutes later, you all stood in front of the house, letter box saying ‘The Johnsons’ and the car in the driveway that matched the car you’d see Lily drive. You tense up standing in the driveway, nervous to see your sister after so many years, even though she couldn’t see you. Wally could sense you were nervous, so he wraps his arms around you and strokes your arm. “It’s okay baby, I’m here for you.” he whispers into your ear and plants a kiss on your cheek.
Suddenly the door swings open and out walks Mary, Matthew and Lily who make their way over to the car. Lily stops in her tracks when she spots you at the end of the driveway. “Mom, I actually just remembered that I have a history paper due tomorrow. You and Dad can go to the movies.” Lily shouts as she keeps looking back over to you and the others. “Honey, you need to get better at organizing, it’s your senior year.” Mary replies than pauses when she notices Lily constantly looking at the end of the driveway. “What are you staring at? She asks and she puts her purse in the car and her and Matthew make their way over to Lily. “Nothing, I was just thinking about my history essay.” She remarked. Matthew pulls out his wallet. “Here’s some money so you can order a pizza. And no friends over please, you need to do your paper.” Matthew says handing Lily some money. “Thanks guys, enjoy the movie.” Lily waves as her parents get in the car and down the road.
“Aunt Y/N, Uncle Wally, you’re here!” She says excitedly. “Uncle Wally, that has a good ring to it.” Wally says kissing your head. Lily leads you all into the house which you imminently see is filled with some things from your childhood. As the others make their way into the lounge room, you spot a framed photo of you, Wally, and Mary at Christmas one year. Tears instantly fall from your eyes as you take the photo of the wall, getting replaced by a copy. “How did you do that?” Lily ponders looking at the framed photo in your hands and the same one on the wall. “Whatever we grab in our world is just a copy, leaving the real item untouched. That’s how we got all this stuff from the mall.” You explain, wiping the tears away. “That’s so cool. Keep it, that’s mom’s favourite photo of you, guys.” She replied as you and her meet with the others on the living room.
“Lily, we wanted to ask you something.” You say sitting next to the empty space Wally left for you. “We wanted you to check if any more of our families still live here, or where they live?” Charley asked. “Oh okay, easy. I’ll go grab my laptop.” She says as she runs upstairs. “She has so many of your qualities Y/N, you and your sister must be so alike.” Janet pointed out. “Yeah, Mary and I were inseparable. People always joked we were twins, despite the age gap.” You stated as Lily makes her way back down the stairs with her laptop.
“Okay. All I need is some names and I can do some internet stalking-“ “You what?” you all shout, making her confused. “I’m not actually stalking, it’s just what it called when you look up other people online.” She replies and you all give a sigh of relief. You tell Lily names of who she should look up and she begins typing away on her laptop.
“Ok that was easier than I thought. Janet, you have some cousins who lives in Kansas City. Rhonda, I found you younger sister and her kids that live in Minneapolis. Tommy, your brother lives in Denver with his wife and children. Charley, your parents live in Albuquerque and your sister lives in Phoenix. Yuri, your brother lives in Sacramento and your sister lives in Malibu. Quinn, all your family live in Detroit. Uncle Wally, you know your mom still lives here, but she sold your old place and lives in Sheer oaks apartments. And Aunt Y/N as you know, grandma and grandpa moved when you died, they now live in Milwaukee.” Lily finishes listing of all the places our families live. Adding “I’ll print addresses for you.”
“Thank you, Lily, I know I speak for everyone when we say this, we really appreciate it.” You responded. “Of course, I’m happy to do it.” she said gleefully. “Can you also help us with these phones? We got them to communicate with each other.” Charley asks. “Uh yeah if I can teach my grandparents, I can teach a bunch of ghosts who some have been dead for 60 years. I mean how hard could it be?” she responds optimistic. She was, however, wrong. Turns out teaching a ghosts, how to use current technology was harder than she thought. An hour later and Lily has successfully taught us all on how to use smart phones. “That was way worse than teaching my grandparents, I thought you said you knew some basics?” Lily stated, exhausted. “We thought we did, guess not.” Janet replied, not lifting her eyes from her phone screen.
“Thanks again Lily for your help, we should get going, we need to find somewhere to crash tonight.” Rhonda said as she stands up and makes her way over to her suitcase. “Oh, I know where you can crash. Mom and Dad just finished renovating a property on Walker Street. There’s furniture and everything you can stay there; it doesn’t go on the market until next week. I can take you over there now” Lily responded. “Oh, but first, Aunt Y/N I have to show you my prom dress, I just got picked up.” Lily beamed, running back upstairs.
“I forgot about Prom.” Tommy stated. “I have an idea.” you said, attention on you. “How about we all go to prom, kind of like a farewell for now party, before we all split up and leave.” “That actually sounds really good baby.” Wally replied as Lily made her way back downstairs with the dress.
“I picked out a style of dress that Mom said you would have loved.” Lily said showing of the dress on the coat hanger. The dress was baby pink with spaghetti straps and down the skirt of the dress was a glitter ombre trail. Mary was right I do love the dress. “Lily, you are going to look beautiful. We all just decided that we are going to prom to as a farewell to each other.” You gushed as you ran the material of her dress through your hands.
You all leave Lily’s house and make your way over to the property she told you about. Making your way in the house, you all dump your belongings and find a place to crash, not that you needed to, but you have kept the habit of it for so long, it felt natural. You and Wally find a bedroom to sleep in. “Have I told you lately how much I love you?” Wally cooed as you and him crash onto the bed. “Yeah baby, you have, but I love hearing it.” You reply giving him a kiss. “Well, I want to show you how much I really do.” He purred as his hand found its way onto your breast. “Babe, not here. What about the others? You know I can’t be quiet.” You try to say serious but a giggle escapes from your lips. “Okay, fine. But at prom I’m going to take you to our spot for the last time.” He whines not getting his way tonight. “I look forward to it babe.” You promised giving him a soft kiss on the lips.

Part 27
Summary:
With their new freedom the ghosts discover that they can be seen, no longer invisible and pay a visit to Maddie in the hospital before embarking on their new adventure now they are no longer trapped at Split River High.
Still on the road, excited that you were no longer trapped in the confines of school you begin to wonder, “Now what?” you asked waiting for the others to stop celebrating. “I mean I love you guys but I literary want to be anywhere but here or near here.” Charley says. “What about we all go our separate ways for a bit and the regroup back here at the end of the day? Tommy added. “Maybe we should stick together? We don’t know how to be ghosts outside the school.” You pondered.
Forgetting it was a school day, students rushed out of the building as the final bell rang signalling the end of the day. You didn’t think anything of it until you saw Lily and Simon rush towards his car. Lily stopped turned her attention to you and the others on the road. “Lily, what the hell? We need to get to the hospital to see Maddie.” Simon yelled in an attempt to raise his voice over the other students and the sound of cars exiting the parking lot. “Si, you can see them, right?” she asks pointing to the road. “See who? Wait Lily who do you see? Simon asked as he made his way over to Lily’s side. “I think I can see my Aunty and all the other ghosts Maddie mentioned.” Lily responded. Simon looked to the road and saw you and the others with curiosity spread on your faces. “Yeah, I can see them. I don’t know how because I could only see Maddie and how are they on the road when she said that they can’t leave school property” he responded. They begin to walk towards you and the others, slowly, cautiously. “Lily, you can see us?” you questioned tears welling in your eyes as Wally grabs your hand. “Yeah, I can see you, I can see all of you.” She says trying to reach out to touch you but her hand falls through you.
“How can they see us?” Rhonda asked looking at her and then back to you. “I... don’t know. Maybe something happened when the barrier broke.” you pondered staring at Lily who is looking at you and the others. “You look so much like my mom when she was young.” Lily stated as she looks down at your hand in Wally’s then back to him. “And you must be the famous Wally, my mom told me all about you, she was right, you are hot.” She giggles as blush spreads on your face as well as Wally’s.
“Lily, are you coming to see Maddie?” Simon asked but semi knowing what Lily would say. “I will catch up later, I want to stay her with my aunt if that’s ok.” She replied. As Simon turns to head back to his car, you stop him. “Wait how is Maddie, is she ok?” “Yeah, she will be fine. She still remembers everything and says she can’t wait to see you when she comes back to school.” He responds. “Well since the barrier broke, we can visit her in the hospital.” Quinn added. “The barrier broke?” Simon and Lily responded in unison. “We don’t know how; we just know it did.” Wally replied hand still in yours. You turn your attention to the others “I don’t know about you guys, but I want to check in on Maddie.” You said. “I’m with you baby” Wally responds. The others look at each other and all nod agreeing to visit Maddie.
At the hospital, you wait for Simon and Lily to enter the room where Maddie is to make sure there were no nurses or doctors in with her. “Hey, Mads so something crazy happened that I think it’s better coming from them.” She says as she turns around signalling you to enter the room. Her eyes widen and she props herself up in her bed as you all enter the room. “How are you guys here?” she puzzled looking at each one of you. “The barrier broke down today. There was flashing lights and a big bang, then Y/N saw the marching band down the street, that’s when we realised it broke and we were free.” Janet responded. Just as you were about to say something a man dressed in fishing gear walks in. “Ah, so you must be the ghosts that kept my Maddie safe.” The man, clearly Maddie’s dad, extends his hand out for you to shake. “It’s nice to met you sir.” You say shaking his hand. “Who are you talking too?” Maddie asks staring blankly at the space where her dad was standing. “You can’t see him? Your dad is standing right there?” Rhonda tells her. “Our barrier around the hospital isn’t broken so she can’t see us unless she dies here.” Her dad responds, clearly hearing the conversation before about the barrier around the school breaking. “My dad’s here? Why can’t I see him like I can see you guys?” She asked confused. You repeat back what her dad said as you can see the tears form in her eyes. You want to comfort her, make her feel its ok but you can’t touch her. Lily sits next to her on the bed and gives her a hug as her dad leaves the room. “I’m really happy you guys are free.” She says releasing Lily from the hug, and she yawns. “Thanks, Mads. We should leave so you can get some rest.” You declared. Before Maddie could respond, a doctor comes in for a check-up. You all nod at her as you exit the room with Lily and Simon in tow.
“Can we go now? Hospitals creep me out.” Charley gagged. You head to the reception area about to exit the hospital, Lily yells “Wait Y/N Wally.” You and Wally turn to face her before saying “You guys go ahead, we’ll catch up.”
“Will I see you again?” Lily asks, emotions spread across her face. You want to reach out and comfort her but instead you say. “Of course, you will. We got some stuff to do first, but we will always find you.” Tears fall down her face as she gives you a reassuring nod, heading back to Maddie’s room. You and Wally exit the hospital and met with the others. “So, where to first?” Wally asks. “Ooh a mall, I’m sick of these clothes, and I love you guys but I’m sick of seeing your clothes too.” Charley scoffed as you all laugh.

Wally Clark x fem reader slow burn story
Part 26:
Summary:
It was the next morning you have woken up in Wally’s arms again, something you still feel giddy about. You carefully try to remove his arm that is clung to your body, which doesn’t work as he wakes up imminently. “No babe five more minutes, please” he begs as he wraps his arms around you placing a firmer grip around you. “We can’t Walls, we have to go set up the gym for the chat, you know the one we set up. We can’t be late again otherwise they will come looking for us and they will see your butt again.” You say loosening his arms around your body. “Ok fine, but when it’s over we are doing this again.” He pleaded as he got of the bed. You and him quickly change and head to the gym.
You walk in and are greeted with everyone already waiting and Mr Martin and Janet arguing. “Finally, you guys are here, they have been arguing like that for ten minutes.” Tommy said as you and Wally take your seats in the familiar circle of past group sessions. “I don’t think they have even acknowledged us being here yet.” Rhonda groaned as she takes out a lollipop from her pocket and placing it in her mouth. “Should we say something?” Charley wonders. “Yeah, I will.” You whisper. Standing up from your seat you shout, “Hey are you going to talk to us or should we leave you two alone to continue to bicker like an old couple.”
Everyone is silent, you were not usually the type to snap like that at anyone, what can you say you have changed in death no longer the quiet, shy girl who only had one friend. You eye them both and wait for them to join the circle before you sit back down. Wally moves his seat closer to you and whispers “Ok babe that was hot, seeing you take control like that.” You giggle and before you can whisper anything back Mr Martin starts talking.
“All I ever wanted was to help you all by crossing over. I worked on every theory anything to explain why we were trapped here I-“ “ So your way of helping us was to trap us in our own personal hell?” Rhonda interrupts. “When Janet came to me with a theory that ‘energy is trauma’ and how we enter our scars would break the barrier for us to be free. Yes, I did want you guys to do that, and I didn’t know how long it would take. But Janet refused. She went in herself and over time when I saw that the janitor had noticed me, I knew it was working. But Janet was becoming more reluctant to enter the scar.” He admits. “Gee I wonder why she became so reluctant.” Charley snapped at him. “You kept pushing her in when she was scared and traumatized. She literary had to take over another body to get away from your torture. You should have stopped when you saw she was getting reluctant to enter. But you didn’t you pushed, and you pushed her, so much for caring for us.” You snarled with anger flooding your body. “And you kept things from us, our things for decades without us knowing.” Rhonda added.
“I’m sorry. If we just try, we could-“ “Enough of your excuses, you tormented me for far too long and I will not let you do that to them.” Janet snapped interrupting him. “I will never forgive you for what you did as I’m sure everyone else here is the same. We may all be trapped in this school but that doesn’t mean we have to tolerate you.” She grumbled marching out of the gym. You can see the tears well in his eyes not daring to fall. “Excuse me.” He says standing up and leaving the gym.
“I can’t believe he tortured her for so long and we never knew.” You sigh. “That is so fucked up.” Rhonda snarled taking a lollipop from her pocket and placing it in her mouth. Silence falls between them not knowing how to process what was just revealed. Breaking the silence Tommy asks, “Do you think Maddie can still see us when she comes back?” “I hope so. It felt good to have some sort of connection to the living, I know I appreciated her help with Lily.” You utter as Wally places his hand on your thigh and gently strokes him thumb up and down. “I miss her, more than I thought I would.” Charley shares with tears welling up in his eyes. Suddenly the lights in the gym begin to flicker and shine brighter followed by a loud bang that shook everyone. “What the hell was that?” Wally asks as you all shoot up quickly from your chairs and run out the gym. “You don’t think one of them – Janet or Mr Martin- crossed over?” Quinn exclaimed. “I don’t know how; Mr Martin needs us especially Janet to forgive him-“ “And Janet? What if she did?” Tommy interrupts. “We have to find them. Wally, Tommy and I will try to find Janet, you guys find Mr Martin.” You shouted. Heading in opposite directions, You, Wally, and Tommy head to the library remembering Janet had her own spot in the corner to read science books. Just as you are about to open the doors, Janet bursts through the doors, “You guys felt that too, right?” she uttered. “Yeah, the last time the lights flickered was when Dawn crossed over, but we don’t know about the big noise that happened after.” Wally replies. In your peripheral vison, you look out the window where the marching band are normally looping. “Guys where’s the marching band?” you slurred. The others approach the window with you. In the far distance up the road, you can see the whole marching band walk the street. “What the fuck.” Tommy shouted. You all run outside to the parking lot with Rhonda, Charley, Yuri, and Quinn catching up. “Did you see-“ “Yeah we can see it” Charley adds in a puff. You all cautionary walk in the parking lot, towards the road and off school property waiting to be flung back to the place you died, like you’d would when crossing the barrier but that didn’t happen. All of your feet were planted on the road. “I think that big bang was the barrier somehow breaking down, we’re free.” You utter. Everyone screams and starts jumping up and down. You run into Wally’s arms as he swings you around. “We’re free, we’re actually free from this place.” Wally yells as you wrap your legs around his back and hold onto his neck. “We’re free baby.” You express planting a kiss on his lips.

Part 25:
A/N: this part and onward occurs after Maddie returns to her body and since there is no season 3 yet, this will be made up by me. This part will contain smut which I will once again indicate with this emoji 🔥
Summary: It’s been three days since Maddie left and Janet and Mr Martin returned. Needing space, you and Wally decide to go on an official date.
Three days later…
It’s been three days since Maddie got her body back officially losing contact with the living world once again. Janet and Mr Martin had also came back as themselves. He dragged Janet back into the scar again, but he didn’t know that we all figured out in one way they were all connected, and we found our way to her. She was furious, you had never seen her so angry in all the decades you knew each other.
Since Maddie left things have been quiet, no interactions with Mr Martin or Janet yet, and we all decided that we needed space to process everything than eventually talk it out. Wally did laps around the field he said it helped to clear his mind. You found yourself in the library nose buried in a book- something you haven’t done in a very long time- that you didn’t even realise Wally was sitting right across from you.
“Haven’t seen that in a while.” he gushed. “Shit babe you scared me.” You gasped dropping the book on the table in front. “Sorry, it’s just I’m happy you’re reading again.” He said as he made his way over to your side of the table, pulling the chair next to yours and planting a kiss on your head. “Yeah, it’s helping like the way running is helping you.” you mussed turning your body around to face Wally. “How long do you think everyone is going to ice Janet and Mr Martin out? It’s been three days since it happened?” you pondered. “No idea. We did all agree we needed space and we would agree to come together, but I don’t know babe. Maybe we should arrange a chat or something in the gym?” he asked.
“That’s a good idea, we can do it tomorrow give everyone time to think of questions to ask them. We could go tell them all now.” You replied taking Wally’s hand in yours. “And after that, I want us to go on an official date, just you and I no distractions.” You added giving his hand a squeeze. “That sounds great baby.” He says planting a kiss on your lips. You and Wally spent an hour tracking down the others to fill them in on your plan, to which they agreed to leaving the rest of the day to just you and Wally.
“So Darling, what are we doing first on our date?” Wally questioned as he opened the door to the teachers’ lounge for you. “Such a gentleman.” You sassed as you dramatically fan yourself. “I always aim to please, babe.” he says as he grabs your hand and interlace your fingers and leads you over to the couches. “I was thinking we could find something in the cafeteria, and we could make a picnic under the stars.” You say. “That sounds amazing Y/N. And then maybe we could-“ “Yeah maybe” you say interrupting him.
You and Wally head to the cafeteria and put together a picnic of what you could find around luckily the lunch ladies just stocked the kitchen so there were endless things to pick from. You made a makeshift picnic basket from an old box you had found. Then grabbing some drinks from the vending machines before heading outside to set up on one of the tables. The sun had just set, and the stars were beginning to brighten up the sky. You finished setting up before taking a seat next to Wally.
“This is perfect babe, just wanted we needed after everything that happened.” Wally gushed as he took in the spread that you set up. “Only the best for you, my love.” You say leaning into a kiss. You and Wally dig into the picnic and talk about everything. Maddie leaving, Janet and Mr Martins lies, how much you missed Dawn since she crossed over. “I hope wherever she is, she’s happy.” You say tilting your head up to the sky and you feel Wally put his arm around your shoulder pulling you into a side hug. “I hope so too, Darling.” He whispered. “Have you thought of crossing over, like she did?” you ask breaking a part the hug and moving your body on the side. “I haven’t really thought about it, but when I do, I don’t want to cross over without you beside me. We spent so long hiding our feelings, I can’t leave without you.” he expressed taking both of your hands in his. “Me too, Walls. Whatever happens from now on, we will do it together.” You professed leaning into kiss him once more. “Now come on, there’s another part of this date we got to get too, and I want to have some privacy.” You whisper in his ear as you nibble on his earlobe sending goosebumps all over his body.
🔥
You and Wally quickly pack up the picnic and head to a storage room that before you set up a makeshift bed -You found a blow-up mattress, pillows, an old palette and some candles in the theatre storage from the school’s next play You and Wally waste no time as soon as you enter the room as soon as Wally locks the door, he’s already stripping your clothes as well as his and you both make your way over to the bed.
He lays you down on the bed and he climbs on top of you slowly, taking his sweet time looking over your naked body. “Like what you see?” you ask teasing him. “Fuck baby, you have no idea how much.” He replies as he takes your breast in his mouth and starts sucking on your nipple. You moan as he swirls his tongue around your nipple slow and sensual. You can feel his cock already hard between your legs and you can feel you are already wet. He brings himself up to your lips and slowly grinds his hips with yours, teasing you with his cock on your weeping pussy. “Wally” you moan, eager to feel him inside of you. You can feel him laugh on your lips as he teases you.
You can’t take it anymore, so you take matters in your own hands. You flip him over, so he is on his back, and you are on top. His hands grip your hips as you adjust yourself on top of his hard cock and thrust up and down. He groans as you continue to thrust on his fat cock. “Fuck baby, you’re so tight.” He groans. Two, three, four more deep thrusts and you can feel your body getting closer. “I’m so... close” you moan. One more deep thrust and you are cumming all over his cock. Within seconds Wally cums too, leaking everything inside of you so much you can feel it run down your legs on to the bed. You lay on top of him, taking his cock out and sink into a passionate kiss. “Fuck Darling” he moans breaking apart your kiss as he comes down from his high. You lay beside him in his arms as you and he wait for your bodies to reset. “I love you, Wally.” You whisper in his ear. “I love you too baby. I thank God every day that he brought you into my life. You are my everything.” He professed giving you a kiss once more. “You’re my everything to Walls.” You say kissing him on the cheek, once again falling asleep in his arms.

Part 24:
A/N this part will feature plot points from the season 2 finale, so obvious spoiler warning Summary: Quinn reveals she went into her scar and found something that Janet kept hidden. And the living kids convince Janet back to the school where she fills you in on her theory and how Mr Martin became obsessed trying to prove it right.
You, Wally, and Maddie enter the library to find Charley and Yuri chatting. “Where are the others?” Maddie asks as she takes a seat opposite of Charley. “Quinn wanted to go into her scar, so Rhonda and Tommy went with her.” Charley responded closing a book and placing it on the table in front of him. “Did you get into his scar Mads?” Yuri questioned. “Yeah. I saw fire around the chemistry lab and awards all for Janet. We think he started the fire and is haunted by Janet because he stole away her future.” Maddie answers. Just then Tommy, Quinn, and Rhonda burst through the library. “Well, they were defiantly using us as experiments for their own benefit. Quinn found a page in her scar and in Janet’s handwriting it says, ‘trauma is energy’.” Rhonda snaps throwing the page on the table and sits down in a huff. “We think they wanted to trap us in our scars for God knows how long so they can cross over or break the barrier for them to be free while we get trapped in our own personal hells for ever.” Tommy adds also furious with the discovery. “What the fuck?” Wally yells. “Wait but why would Janet take over Maddie’s body, if that was the plan this whole time?” You ask. All of a sudden you hear over the P.A system “Maddie and other ghosts, please come to the cafeteria.” Simon says.
Without wasting any time, you all head to the cafeteria where you see Simon, Lily, and Maddie’s body-Janet-. “Holy shit, this is weird.” Rhonda says looking over at Maddie and Janet who is in Maddie’s body. You all sit down facing her while Simon and Lily stand off to the side. Maddie gets the paper out from her pocket and slides it over the table towards her. “I think you have some explaining to do.”
She takes a deep sigh and says “It was never meant to turn out this way and for that I’m truly sorry. For five years it was just Mr Martin and I trying to figure out why we were trapped here. Years and years of trying to come up with an answer, we had nothing. Then you died Rhonda” looking over to Rhonda “When you died, you were so frightened. We wanted to welcome you, help you but we had no idea how. Mr Martin told you that we died separately to protect me-“ “Protect you from what?” you interrupted. “Because I caused the fire that killed us. While trying to help you, Rhonda we were also trying to figure out why there was this force that kept us on school property. We came up with nothing. And then more students kept dying so we got distracted trying to help. We didn’t actually work on a theory until...” she trails off not wanting to finish. “Spit it out liar.” Rhonda snarled at her.
“Until Wally and Y/N died. We knew they had this bond with each other, and we wanted to find a way for us to all finally cross over, but we still had nothing. It wasn’t until many years later we discovered the red light coming from the fallout shelter, where the school built it after the science lab was destroyed. I came up with a theory if we were to stay in our scars for long periods of time it would be enough to break the barrier so we would all be free. When I told Mr Martin that trauma equals energy, he was very eager to start trying it. I told him it was only a theory, but he wanted to test it right away. He wanted you all to go into your scars even though I wasn’t sure my theory was right. So, I volunteered to go in myself, and he would take notes if anything changed. Knowing it was only me facing that trauma saved you guys from reliving your own trauma over and over again, I couldn’t do that So I told Mr Martin to tell you that I crossed over so we could work on it in secret” She lets out a sigh and continues “Mr Martin eventually notice when I was in my scar, that the janitor could see him, and he became more determined than ever. he kept forcing me into the scar over and over for months on end. I had to get out of there it was torture. That was until Maddie heard me crying for help and she opened the door, and that’s when I ran, not knowing I was going into her body, I didn’t know that could happen it just did.”
You all sit in silence trying to wrap your head around what Janet had just admitted, this whole time it was really Mr Martin who was the bad guy, wanting to use us, make us relieve our traumas for a theory that may or may not work. Did he even care about us? You wondered. “So, was anything real for you Janet? I thought you and I were friends. I told you personal shit, did you just go ahead and tell him and write about it in your little journals.” You yell pacing around the room as Wally gets up to comfort you. “Of course, we are friend’s Y/N that was real. I never told him or anyone what you told me. I’m glad you two are finally together.” She says noticing Wally’s hand firm on your waist. “Thanks, and I’m sorry you went through all of that to protect us, that can’t have been an easy choice.” You reply.
“That piece of shit Mr Martin didn’t even care for us, he wanted us to be in our hells for a theory?” Tommy snaps and leaves the room, Charley and Yuri follow to try to calm him down. “So, what happens now?” Wally says. “Mr Martin needs to come back to school, give your teacher his body back and I can give Maddie hers back.” Janet says. Maddie turns to Lily and Simon who have been standing there the whole time, Simon translating what he can to Lily who can only see Janet. “Where is Mr Martin now?” Maddie asks. “Uh…” Simon stutters not knowing how to tell her. “Simon tell me what she said.” Lily says as she nudges his arm. “She wants to know where Mr Martin is. I don’t know how to tell her “He replies in a whisper. “Fine, I’ll do it. Mr Marin eventually found out where we were and was going to take Janet with him and we couldn’t let that happen. And it all happened so fast but in short, he told Nicole’s brothers car-who found out where we were- and Mr Martin stole his car. We don’t know where he went.” Lily says. “He what?” you all say in unison even though she can’t hear you. “He will come for me; he will know that I’m here.” Janet says. Maddie repeats back to Simon who tells Lily. You all leave the cafeteria still reeling from everything you heard.

Part 23
Summary:
The living kids tell You and the others what happened after their failed attempt to get Janet back to school and you find Mr Martin’s watch leading Maddie to go into his scar. And you also found out another secret about Mr Martin and Janet.
It’s the next morning and everyone is in the library well everyone expect you and Wally who were still asleep naked on the couch in the storage room. “Where the hell are they?” Charley asks as he sits at the table joining Maddie with cups of coffee. “I know they just admitted their feelings but, they need to be a part of this plan.” Tommy sighs as he grabs a nearby book of the shelf flicking through the pages nonchalantly. “Charley, you and I will go look for them, they literary can’t go that far.” Rhonda says placing one of Mr Martin’s notebooks on the table.
They leave the library leaving Maddie and Tommy to start brainstorming ideas of how the living kids can bring Janet and Mr Martin back. Thirty minutes of searching and Rhonda and Charley have looked everywhere for you and Wally. They approach the last area of the school that they haven’t looked yet, the theatre. “You go back to the others I’ll bring back the lovebirds.” Rhonda exclaims as she opens the door to the theatre, maybe you can debrief those two quickly.” She says pointing to Yuri the pottery looper who isn’t Russian or looping, he just wanted to get out of Mr Martin’s therapy group. And Quinn who was in the marching band who was a looper but ‘woke up’ when Rhonda screamed at them.
Clothes still thrown about all over the room as you wake up happily in Wally’s arms. You look over at him as he slowly opens his eyes and smiles the biggest smile you’d ever seen. “Morning Walls.” You whisper softly. “Hey baby, gosh I love waking up next to you- well we always did since we always slept in the same area- but is different this time.” He says softly planting a kiss on your lips. Suddenly you hear the hatch open and footsteps coming down the stairs. There isn’t enough time for you or Wally to quickly change before whoever it was, turned on the light. “Oh god.” Rhonda blurts out quickly covering up her eyes. “I need you guys to change at meet us in the library, now!” she adds before running up the stairs. You can’t help but laugh as she caught you and Wally naked. “Ah, damn it she saw my butt.” Wally said sheepishly trying to cover up with the blanket. “It’s ok babe, it’s a very good butt.” You sassed back giving his butt a little slap. Wally laughs as he kisses you once more. “We should get dressed and see what they want before I change my mind.” He says breaking a part the kiss.
Five minutes later you and Wally are in the library to meet the others and you notice everyone stops what they are doing and looks at you. “Finally, the lovebirds have left their sex room to join the rest of us.” Rhonda snaps trying to hold back a laugh. You take a seat next to Charley as he nudges his elbow into your side as he whispers. “I so need details- not that much- but enough.” You roll your eyes at him and then say, “Wait how are the two looper ghosts here?” “A lot happened when you guys were… y’know” Tommy replies. “Turns out Quinn can understand the weird writing in Mr Martins journal and Yuri found Janet’s notebook in something she had made.” Charley explains. “Wow, we did miss a lot.” Wally says trying to process everything. Suddenly you hear over the P.A system Simon talking. “Maddie and other ghosts, come to the cafeteria we have something we need to tell you.” “How did he even get into school on a Saturday?” Tommy asks. “Mr South always forgets to lock the door from the old garage, that’s how he got in.” Maddie says as she gets up and leaves. You all follow her in tow to the cafeteria where you are greeted by Simon and Lily.
“Uh, something happened after we failed to get Janet back here.” Lily says not knowing where to look. Silence falls between them, you can tell that something has happened by the way Lily is playing with her hair, a sign that she is nervous that she clearly picked up from your sister. “Simon, just tell me already.” Maddie says with a look of concern on her face as she sits down at one of the tables. The others join while you and Wally stand at the back. “After we left your house, we saw Mr Anderson- Martin at your door talking with your mom. We were worried that he would try to convince your mom to let him in and talk to Janet. And one thing led to another and well we may have kidnapped her.” Simon admits. “You did what?” You all say in unison. “Simon, what the hell? You kidnapped her.” Maddie retorts. “What is she saying Si?” Lily asks. “We had no choice Mads, we took her to the cabin your mom brought, we just needed more time with her.” “And kidnapping her was the way to do it?” You snap knowing they can’t hear you. “This is so fucked, please tell me you have a plan Simon, I kind of what my body back in one piece.” Maddie says anger fuelling in her. “We kinda have a plan, but I will keep you updated.” He replies as he leaves to head out of the cafeteria. “Wait Si, can you ask Maddie to tell my aunt that our family is, ok? If she’s anything like my mom she would be worried about her family.” Lily asks. Simon looks over to Maddie who is turned around. “Tell him I said thank you and that I’m ok, I’m with Wally and I have a great group of friends now. Her mom and grandparents will know what I mean.” You tell Maddie as she repeats what you said back to them. Wally pulls you in and whispers, “Everyone really did know about us before we did.” “Yeah, they did, Mary kept calling me a wuss for not telling you, she would have gotten along with Rhonda.” You whisper back laughing.
Lily and Simon leave as you and Wally join the others at the table. “Now what?” Charley says. “We keep looking into the notebooks for anything we missed, and maybe back into the fallout shelter too.” You reply since there wasn’t anything much else to do. You, Wally, Tommy, and Maddie head for the fallout shelter while Rhonda, Charley, Quinn, and Yuri head to the library to work on the notebooks. In the fallout shelter you don’t know what find. “Is there anything we are meant to be looking for?” you ask. “I don’t know, just make sure we didn’t miss anything.” Maddie replies as she scans the shelfs. Finding nothing you head back to the others but once again the door slammed shut, remembering the only way out is through a trap door that leads to tunnels that lead outside of the school meaning you will get hurled back to the spot where you died.
Wally opens the door as you climb through and then you are in the parking lot alone. As you get off the ground, you are blinded by something shining on something. You walk to the bus stop, making sure you don’t cross the barrier, you find a watch. You pick it up and study it then you realise its Mr Martins. You turn around and you see Wally running up to you. “Babe, I found Mr Martin’s watch, he must have dropped it when he took over Mr Anderson’s body.” You exclaim giving the watch to Wally. “Holy shit. This could be his object or key whatever.” He says. You and Wally head back in the school and head to the library.
“Guys, I found Mr Martin’s watch, Walls and I think it’s his key and he dropped it when he took over Mr Anderson’s body.” You say putting the watch in the centre of the table. “Fuck what if he’s hiding stuff in his scar or something, but how would we even look?” Tommy asks picking up the watch. “I could try. I mean all the scars are connected or something.” Maddie ponders. “Mads that’s crazy.” You say as you cross your arms across your chest. “I got to at least try; he could have hidden something in there about anything.” She replies. “Fine, but you aren’t going alone, we will wait outside for you, right Walls?” you ask. “Yeah of course.” Wally says. “While you were gone, we discovered that Mr Martin and Janet are way more connected than we first thought.” Rhonda announces. “Janet and Mr Martin died the same day; Janet was a student in his class.” Charley adds. “Wait so for all these years they lied about how they knew each other and how Janet died for what?” you snap as anger fills your whole body. Wally senses you’re getting angry and puts his arm around your waist and plants a kiss on your head. “No fucking idea. This whole time they lied to us and kept things on us for some experiment or some shit.” Rhonda says in annoyance. “More of a reason for me to try to get into his scar.” Maddie says walking out the room not giving you or Wally a chance to catch up with her.
You and Wally catch up to her just as she is about to enter the fallout shelter. “Wait, Mads. Whatever you see in there, you can’t get hurt. We will be waiting here for you, ok?” you say trying to reassure her. “Thanks Y/N” she replies as she opens the door. You imminently notice the red glow; she can go through his scar. All there was left to do was wait for her, you hope she can find some answers because you can’t seem to wrap your head around the fact that Janet has been lying to you, to everyone for decades. You turn your attention to Wally “Babe, I still can’t wrap my head around this. All this time, they were lying. I thought Janet was my friend. I told her about my feelings for you before anyone else did.” You ramble letting emotions get the better of you, tears falling from your eyes. Wally sighs as he wipes away the tears from your face, “I know Darling, we will get answers from them, I’m sure of it.” Suddenly Maddie appears coughing as tears well in her eyes. “Mads you’re ok, we got you.” You say as you run over to her as she crumbles to the floor. “I didn’t find anything. There was fire everywhere and there was this whole display of awards to Janet.” she mutters out. “I don’t remember her getting any awards.” Wally said. “What if Mr Martin caused the fire that killed them both and he is haunted by the fact that he took away Janet’s future.” You reply helping Maddie to her feet. “We should tell the others.” Maddie says as she whispers as soft thank you to you.

Summary:
The living kids try to lure Janet back to the school but when that backfires you and Wally finally share a romantic moment together.
Heading to the library to debrief and to listen to the living kids talk to Janet since Simon set up a phone so we can hear, “Now what the fuck do we do? Mr Martin could be anywhere in Mr Anderson’s body, how are we meant to get him back.” You say angrily. Everyone looks at each other not knowing what to do next. “Do we think he really is going to disappear in his body or try to find Janet in Maddie’s body?” Tommy asks. “I mean he might still need her with whatever fucked up experiment they were doing on us.” Rhonda says with a snarl. “Maybe, let’s see what they say maybe they can convince her back.” Wally utters as he puts an arm around your waist pulling him closer to him, something you are still getting used too.
The phone call is muffled since Simon’s phone is in his pocket, you can barely make out the conversation, but you can hear enough and it’s not working. Maddie left the room a while ago, understandable since it’s another freaking person talking out of her body. You can hear Simon confront Janet and just when he is close, the janitor enters the library with the vacuum and the line goes dead. Great you thought
“Well, now what?” Charley asks hanging up the phone. “I guess we have to wait until tomorrow until they come back, and we also tell them that there’s another ghost out there who may or may not be after Janet.” Rhonda replies as she gets up to leave. “Should one of us check in on Maddie? She’s been gone a while.” Charley asks. “Yeah, I can go, I’ll catch up with you guys later.” Tommy says as he heads out the library to find her leaving you Wally and Charley in the library. “I’m going to find Rons, are you guys coming?” he asks. “I think we actually need to talk but thanks, we will catch up later.” Wally says directing you and him out of the library.
---------🔥 ---------------------
You and Wally walk the halls of the school, holding hands and feeling butterflies swarm in your stomach. This is what you have wanted for so long and its finally real. He directs you to the theatre and to the hatch leading to the storage room. “What do you need to talk about Walls?” you ask sitting down on the couch, still covered in pillows and blankets from your night before. “Nothing. I just wanted an excuse to have you all to myself.” He says crashing into your lips pushing you down on the couch with him on top.
This kiss was more passionate and affectionate then the one from before. His hands move up and down your arm before he pulls apart, “Is it ok if I touch you here?” he asks, hand hovering over your breast. “Yeah, Walls its more than ok. I want this I’ve been wanting this for years.” You whisper. “Me too, Darling.” He whispers back, his lips crash back on to yours as you can feel his hand reach under your top, grabbing your breast and you let out a moan that he swallows.
Your hands move down his strong back and grab the hem of his shirt. You take it off in one swift motion and admire his bare chest. This isn’t the first time you have seen him shirtless, but time it felt different. Copying your motion, Wally lifts your shirt of as you arch your back to help. He stops and savours looking at you in your pink lace bra -God you were so glad you had a cute underwear set on the day you died- he leans down and kisses you again more deeper than ever. Your hands continue to roam over his back and on his chest leading your hands down to his sweatpants. He gets up off you and slides his pants down leaving him in only his boxers to which you could see his hard cock through the cotton. He takes your jeans down your legs, arching you’re hips up to get them over your waist revealing your pink panties with a wet stain already formed. “Already wet for me Darling?” he whispers soft. “Oh baby, I get easily wet whenever I’m near you. These past years have been torturous and there’s only so much my hand could do.” You reply gasping with anticipation of what’s to come.
He climbs back on top of you. You can feel his hard cock grind against your clit as he rocks his hips back and forth. He messes with your bra, as you lift your back so he can unhook it revealing your breast. “It is ok if I “ “Babe, you don’t need to keep asking, its ok” you say interrupting him. Nodding he lowers his mouth on one of your breasts and plays with the other with his fingers. You let out a loud moan that you were pretty sure anyone could have heard but you don’t care. He continues to grind his hips up and down feeling his dick against your already soaking pussy. “Walls, I- need you- in me now.” You whimper out between your moans. he locks eyes with yours and nods as he slides his hands down your body to the hem of your panties. Arching your back once more, he tugs at them and drags them down your legs. He quickly stands, taking of his boxers and kicking them off. He climbs back on top of you, you feel his cock at the edge of your climax just waiting to push in. His eyes lock on yours as he slides his cock into your pussy, and he begins to thrust into you as he kisses you passionately. He starts slow then builds quickly as you moan loudly as he leaves trails of kisses down your neck. “Babe… I’m close” you cry out. Two maybe three more fast thrusts and as you moan in his ear. You both can feel your cum dribbling out of your pussy. More thrusts into you and he cums releasing everything in you. He stops still inside of you as he collapses on top. “That… was something we should have been doing all along.” You say panting still coming down from your high. “We really we’re stupid, weren’t we?” he whispers in your ear. “Oh definitely.” You say as he takes his cock out from your pussy. Laying there in complete bliss slowly coming down from both of your highs which doesn’t take long thanks to resets.
“Babe can I….” you gesture down pointing at his cock not wanting to say it out loud. “Oh absolutely, Darling.” He says as he gets off from you. You get off the couch and let Wally sit down. You kneel on the floor between his legs and places both hands over his cock before putting it in your mouth. Slow at first to get used to it and then you became faster with the movement of your mouth with your hand. He lets out multiple loud moans as you continue to suck his dick. “Fuck, baby you are so good at that.” He cries out almost cumming. You continue to move your mouth up and down his cock in unison with your hand and with your other hand on his balls. In one final movement you can feel him cum all in your mouth, swallowing as much as you can.
You get up off the floor and kiss him a deep affectionate kiss. In one swift motion he has you on your back again on the couch. “Your turn baby” as he leaves trails of kisses down your body leading to your pussy. He starts kissing and sucking your already wet pussy. His tongue swirling inside of you making you whimper out moan after moan. He then slides two fingers in and starts thrusting them in and out rapidly. “Wally” you moan out gripping the cushion near you. He continues eyes looking up at you as you cum spilling into his mouth. You sigh as his mouth departs and he climbs back next to you. You and him cuddle onto the couch and eventually drift off to sleep.

Wally Clark x fem reader Y/N slow burn story
Part 21: Summary: In complete bliss that you have finally told Wally that you love him and that he loves you back, you tell Maddie and then there is a meeting with the living kids to figure out a plan to lure Janet to the school and lure Mr Martin out of the scars for answers.
After kissing what felt like hours on the grass, you and Wally get up still in complete bliss of finally admitting your feelings. “Um, I know this is properly the last thing on your mind, but what are we going to tell Maddie? I know you two were close.” You ask while interlocking your fingers with his as you head off the field. “I don’t know, but I think she will understand right? I mean she’s not technically dead.” Wally responded. “We can tell her together if you want to?” you ask. “Darling, I want to do everything with you.” He replied lifting your hands and placing a kiss on yours. You head inside and go to the library figuring out that’s where everyone would be, and you were right they were all there discussing who would go into their scars next.
You and Wally approach the table, still holding hands and Wally says, “Hey Maddie, is it ok if Y/N and I talk to you for a sec?” he asks letting go of your hand. She nods and gets up from the table and heads to another section of the library to talk in private. “What’s up guys?” she asks. Not wanting to beat around the bush, Wally comes out and says, “Y/N and I just discovered we have feelings for each other, and we want to explore that connection. I had a really nice time getting to know you and I really do like you, but I can’t hide my feelings anymore. I’m sorry.” You expected her to get mad or something because you have seen how close they have become in such a short period. “It’s ok Wally. I’m not really dead anyways so it would have been awful to grow attached to someone that I can’t be with. And I kind of figured you guys had something going on. I mean the way Wally talks about you I’m surprised you guys weren’t together this whole time.” She says “Thank you for understanding. And I want to let you know, I did really like spending time with you, but I just need to be true to myself.” Wally says. She gives you a reassuring nod as you head back to the table with the others.
“By the look on your face I’m assuming you finally told him?” Charley asks as he notices you and Wally holding hands. “I mean I didn’t technically, I was practicing what I was going to say when he was in his scar and forgot that of you are close enough in the veil? Whatever it is, he heard everything, and he admitted he had feelings too.” You reply. Charley jaw drops and Rhonda adds, “I’m really happy for you guys but we really need to know if you saw Mr Martin in your scar Wally because I really don’t want to experience my murder again.” “He wasn’t there.” “So, he’s in either Charleys, Rhonda’s, mine or even one of the loopers and how can we even check those ones?” Tommy questions as he opens one of Mr Martins notebooks. “So, who is going in next?” Maddie asks. Silence fell over the library well the living kids were still around the library. “Fine, Ill go.” Tommy says as he grabs his item, a denim baseball cap with badges all over. “Wait” you say rushing after him as he leaves the library. “It will be hard in there, but just remember you already lived it; nothing can hurt you. Just try and forget what you are seeing and find him.” He puts his baseball cap on his head and says, “Thank you Y/N” then he leaves out of the library to the main entrance of the school.
“Ok, while we wait, tell me everything!” Charley says enthusiastically. “I mean there isn’t much to talk about, we already told you every-“ “When did you fall in love with her Wally?” Charley says as he interrupts you. “Halloween 1983 when I accidently walked in on her changing. I tried to push away the feelings, same reason why Y/N did, because we were afraid of losing each other and being stuck in this place for God knows how long.” Wally admits as he places a hand on your knee gently stroking his thumb up and down your jeans. “So, if you guys just talked, you would have been together this whole time?” Maddie asks. “Yeah, well I guess it’s hard for a himbo and a chickee.” You say looking at Rhonda who gave you those nicknames and you all laugh.
Tommy enters back into the library out of breath like he’s been running. “I saw him in there. As soon as I got close enough, he went through a door and disappeared.” “What the fuck? Where does he keep going?” Rhonda says angerly. You remember some sketch in Mr Martins satchel. Grabbing it from the table you find the paper and examine it. A piece of parchment paper with initials spread out over it. “Guys, remember this piece of parchment paper he had, what if it’s some kind of map?” Looking at it closely Wally runs out of the library and comes back with a map of the school. You place the parchment paper on top. “Holy shit, it is a map.” Charley says. “But what are all these initials?” Tommy asks. “Wait I remember something at the back of Wally’s notebook.” Maddie says as she grabs his notebook. She opens up to a page that seems like it’s a football play. She grabs a marker and copies what’s in the book to the paper. “It’s defiantly a map. They are all connected. That’s how he can easily outrun us and disappear.” Maddie confirms. “Shit, now what do we do?” Rhonda asks. “What are we all meant to go into our scars at the same time or something?” Tommy says. “We can’t do that. We have no idea what that could do, it could fuck everything up, we can’t risk it.” You say. “We have to think of a game plan somehow trap him, while my friends in the real world are trying to get Janet out of my body.” Maddie says. “Right, we need to have a group meeting or something between the living and us. Maybe Simon could translate our ideas.” You utter. “I can’t think of anything else so let’s do it. I’ll find Simon and tell him the idea; we can do it on the theatre stage after school.” Maddie shares as she leaves to go find Simon.
The bell rings signalling the end of the school day, while you watch most students head home- gosh you wish you could do that- you and the other ghosts head to the theatre were Maddie is with Simon setting up chairs with our faces on. “Uh, what’s with the faces on the chairs Cherry Pop?” Rhonda asks as she directs her attention to Maddie. “Simon thought it would help, just take a seat, the others should be here soon.” She says as she looks over to the door waiting for her living friends to appear through. You take your seat next to Wally and Charley on the other side. You notice Wally move his chair closer to yours and takes your hand- internal screams! -. Suddenly the door opens, and you see Maddie’s friends walk in. imminently your eyes focus on your niece, Lily as she walks in. You knew them all, Nicole, Xavier, and Claire but of course they don’t know you-or that you are sitting on the chairs- they bring their attention close to the photos to look. “Ok, your way to close blue eyes.” Rhonda snarls when Xavier gets a bit too close to her face for her liking. “Wait, that’s my mom’s maiden name. That’s my aunt that died in 1983, she’s here?” Lily says with concern discovering that her aunt she’s never met has been trapped in school before she was born. “Maddie, tell Simon to tell her that I’m ok and that I’m so proud of the person she has become.” You ask. Maddie nods her head and Simon tells Lily. She instantly cries and Nicole and Claire comfort her, something you wish you could do.
Waiting for Lily to settle, Simon starts the meeting? “So, we need to come up with a plan on how we can lure Janet back to school so Maddie can get her body back and the ghosts need a plan to try to get Mr Martin out of something called scars. Is that right?” Simon says as he directs his attention to Maddie to which she nods her head. “This Janet girl likes science stuff, what if we tell her that the school has some new science experiment that she has to see for herself.” Claire suggests. “Ok, you guys’ figure that one out but how are we meant to get Mr Martin out of the scars?” Tommy says. “I read this thing that ghosts don’t like salt so maybe you can get some and fling it on him or something?” Xavier replies. Silence spreads through the air. You don’t know if you are meant to laugh or if he was serious. Completely ignoring what Xavier said, “Rhonda and Charley, I know you guys want to go into your scar, but it may be our only option.” You voice out, looking at them.
“She’s right Rons, we have to try I mean they did, what’s the worst that could happen?” Charley says looking at her. “But he could be in another fucking scar, and we went through that for nothing.” She snaps in anger. You stand up and crouch next to her “I know you can do this. Mr Manfredo can’t hurt you. Yeah, you will see him, but he can’t hurt you anymore.” You say trying to reassure her. “And if he isn’t in yours or Charley’s we can try one of the loopers, maybe Yuri in the art room or one of the marching band kids, maybe we can figure out a way to break their loop” you add. Maddie briefly tells Simon what we are discussing to the living kids to which Lily says, “She sounds exactly like my mom. Kind, caring and always there for others.” Hearing that felt like a punch to your gut, devastated that you can’t hug her. Wally sees your upset and hugs you instead.
Charley and Rhonda look at each other knowing what they have to do, they get up and leave to grab their object- key? - to get into their scars. “We are going to try and talk to one of the loopers and see if they know anything and you work on a plan to get Janet here” you say to Maddie who repeats to Simon. You Wally and Tommy leave the theatre in hopes of talking to at least one of them.
With no success with either of them you head to the library to discuss what to do next when you see Rhonda and Charley in the hallway. “Well, we both did it and he wasn’t fucking there.” Rhonda yells. Maddie appears from one of the classrooms. “I don’t get it, where is he?” Charley says as Maddie approaches. Suddenly in one of the classrooms you hear some yelling, someone who defiantly shouldn’t be here so late at night. You all scramble to the noise when Maddie says “Mr Anderson?” “Maddie, thank god your alive!” the man says hugging her. “Wait who the hell are you guys?” he adds. You are all in shock that he can see, hear, and talk to you. “Wait if you’re here that means…”. Maddie utters. “Holy shit” Wally says. You all gasp in realization. You can’t find Mr Martin in the scars anymore because he’s not here, he’s taken over a body just like Janet did.

Part 20:
Summary: After confronting your scar, Wally heads into his and you and him finally admit your feelings for each other (finally LOL)
The sun peered through the small window in the storage room waking you up not that you got much rest after keep waking up reliving your scar. Good thing you actually didn’t need sleep, but it felt good to have something normal. Wally was already awake doing some stretches on the floor. “Morning, Darling” he says as he does a sit up. Seeing him like that makes you feel all flustered. “I have an idea, something we could all do to take our minds off this whole scar/ Mr Martin drama.” He says continuing to do push ups. “What’s your idea?” you ask as you get off the couch. He finishes his sit ups and you give him your hand to help him off the floor, not that he needed it anyway. “We have a field day. We get all of our anger out and just have fun.” He says enthusiastically. “That’s a great idea, I defiantly need to get some anger out after yesterday” you said. He nods his head as you two exit the room to find the others. You find Rhonda and Charley in the cafeteria and tell them Wally’s idea. they both agree wanting to push back going into their scars longer.
You all head outside and find the others along the way, all eager for the day. Normally field day was Wally’s thing, and you just went along with it, but for the first time in years you were just as eager. You grabbed a golf club and began smashing the vending machines. You turn around and notice everyone is staring at you in shock. “Damn chickee, didn’t know you had it in you.” Rhonda expresses with her mouth hung open. “Yeah well, seeing your own death for the first time as well as your best friend’s death again it does something to a person.” You say as you take another swing at another vending machine. “Are you guys going to join in or just watch me destroy stuff?” you add when again you notice everyone staring.
They all go their own ways, while Charley stays behind to talk to you. “Y/N I love you but in all these years of friendship I have never seen you so angry especially on field day, a day literary made for it. What’s going on?” he asks with concern in his voice as you give one final blow to the vending machines. “I told you, going through my scar was traumatic.” You reply as you put down the golf club and follow Charley to the picnic table. “And?” he adds. You shrug not knowing what he means to which he gives you a look. “Ok and its Wally. I just- I can’t understand why he hasn’t noticed I have been here all along and that we belong together.” You utter. “Are you quoting Taylor Swift right now? He laughs. “Yes, if you and I were alive we would be at all of her concerts.” You laugh. “You know I love him but he’s a himbo. You have to actually tell him otherwise he will remain clueless forever.” He states. “I wish he would come to the conclusion himself, so I don’t have to tell him. Oh my god, Rhonda is right I am a chicken.” You say. “Yeah, you are. Just tell him already before he and Maddie get too serious, she may not be really dead but that doesn’t stop her and him from doing stuff.” he says. “Gross.” You add as Rhonda and Tommy join the table.
“Have you calmed down yet chickee?” Rhonda asks and she takes a seat next to Charley while Tommy sits next to you. “She’s finally going to tell him.” Charley says enthusiastically. “About time chickee, what made you decide now?” Rhonda says as she takes a lollipop out from her pocket. “Going into the scar, seeing his death and mine made me realise that I don’t want to waste anymore time. It feels right.” You express. “Well go do it now, I overheard him tell Maddie he’s ready to face his scar and find Mr Martin.” Tommy says as Wally and Maddie approach your table.
“Darling, its time.” Wally says as Maddie takes a seat. You nod and go with him to grab his object to get into his scar. He grabs his football as you and him head to the field. “You sure you are up for this now? The others will understand that you need more time.” You express knowing what he will face since you just did. “Yeah, I have to. No, I need too, I need to find him we need- I need answers.” He says as he tries to hype himself up. “Ok Walls, I’ll be right here for you.” You say giving him a hug. He lets go off the hug, then vanishes as he sees the red glow.
You take a seat on the lower level of the bleachers, not knowing how long you would have to wait. To pass time you talk to yourself, practicing what you want to say to Wally when you tell him that you love him. “What I’m about to say mighty be the best thing you ever heard or the worst thing, but I have been holding on to a secret that I have never told you, for 41 years. Wally, I love you. I have loved you since junior year. I was going to tell you at homecoming, but we all know how that went down. I then got so terrified that you would reject me, and I would lose you. Which I could never lose you especially in this place. I’m sorry I have kept it in for so long and I know you and Maddie have something, but it was killing me not telling you.” You finish rambling when you see Wally fall out of his scar, and on to the grass, grasping for air clinging onto his throat.
“I’m here, Walls. Its ok.” You say as you rush towards him and kneel to hug him. It takes him a while to calm down, but you just hold him and wait until he says. “I love you too, Darling.” You stare blankly at him confused. “Huh?” you mumble. “I heard everything you said Y/N, like you said you heard me in yours yesterday.” He replies pushing a strand of hair away from your face. Shit. You did forget you said that. “I didn’t want you to find out that way, I truly was waiting for the right moment. You’re not mad at me that I never told you?” You ask as you grab his hand. “Why would I be mad Darling? Because I have kept something from you for a long time too, I have loved you since I accidently walked in on you changing on Halloween, I was scared too.” He admits. “So, we have loved each other this whole time and we never said anything?” You add. “Yeah, I guess so.” He laughs making you laugh as well. “Oh my god, I could have been with you this whole time, but I have been too much of a chicken to admit it.” You say still laughing. And before you knew it, Wally had grabbed your hands and gently directed you to the grass, with him on top of you and kisses you. He breaks apart the kiss long enough to say “You belong with me, Darling” you smile and kiss him again. Finally, you feel a weight lift. You feel your heart get lighter and fuller of love knowing he’s felt the same way this whole time. “I love you Walls.” You mumble into his lips as you feel breathless in a good way, finally kissing the love of your life.
Then you remembered, the whole reason he went into the scar. “Wait was he in there?” you ask breaking apart your kiss, eyes still locked to his. “No, he must be in one of the others. Now, let’s not talk about him and let’s get back to what we were doing.” He snarls as he places his soft pink lips on yours once more.

Part 19:
Summary:
You confront your scar and realise that yours and Wally’s scars are connected.
A/N for the next few chapters there will be season 2 spoilers. While I do take some of the plot points from the show, I have changed a few things so it’s not a complete copy of the show.
You look down at your Walkman, it worked you’re in your scar or whatever we are calling this place but as you look around you are not in the parking lot. You are on the football field. You see the football team playing on the field, you can see the crowd in the bleachers and in seating around the field, the same as it was in 1983. Then you see Wally as he gets tackled, and you can hear his neck snap. The same scream leaves your body as last time. And you run to the field and see Wally his eyes wide open not moving. Suddenly, you were in the parking lot. You see yourself, Walkman in hand, tears streaming down your face complete unaware the car speeding towards you. Then BANG you see yourself get hit by the car and go over the car and you see yourself lay on the ground.
That’s when you hear Wally -well his spirit - as he’s calling for you. He saw it all. The crash, the impact and your mom sobbing as she holds you. You almost forget for moment that you went in there for a reason. To find Mr Martin. You turn you attention away and look around. Trying to find him and nothing. Wait a minute, you through to yourself, how do you get out of here. Suddenly you can hear Wally’s voice. “Darling, I don’t know if you can hear me but I’m right here. I didn’t go anywhere. Charley went for help, but please Darling come back to me. To us.”
You walk in the direction you entered, Walkman in hand, and then you fall to your knees. Sobbing as you relived not only yours but Wally’s death all over again. Wally rushes over to you on the floor and hugs you, relived you made it out. “Y/N, are you ok? I was worried sick. I- I” he mutters as tears fill his eyes. “I didn’t find him. He’s not in there.” You mumble into Wally’s chest. Wally lets go of the hug and puts his finger under your chin, looking in his eyes “I don’t care about that, I can about you and why you wanted to go in there?” he asked. “We all need answers from him and if my theory is right, he’s in one of these things.” You say. “What was it like in there?” he asked with concern in he voice. “Hell. I saw your death first then mine. I think because we died on the same day and how close we are, they are connected. I don’t know if the others are connected and that’s how Mr Martin can go in hiding for so long but ours are defiantly connected.” You whimper out as you cry remembering what you saw. “Fuck, you had to relive it all over again?” he asks as he wipes tears from your cheeks. “Yeah, I felt the same when I saw you die, that pain and fear all over again. And I saw your spirit when I witnessed my death and I saw the hurt on your face, everything.” You reply. Before Wally can respond, Charley appears with the others in tow, you and Wally get up of the ground.
“Was he in there?” Tommy asks. “No. He could have been anywhere. Wally and mine are connected.” You say. “Wait how are they connected?” Maddie asks. “I think because we died on the same day and we are so close and we went through the same trauma, they somehow connected. So, if Wally was to enter his scar, he would witness his death and then mine again.” You reply.
“This is so fucked. Mr Martin could be in any of our scars and even the loopers scars, how the fuck are we meant to find him?” Rhonda says angrily. “Hey, its ok we will figure out something. Its late how about we get some rest and re-group tomorrow?” you say as you try to calm her down. She nods as she gives you hug. You all head back into school and all go your separate ways. You needed some time to reel over what you just experienced. You head to the theatre to go on that couch you found in the storage room, then you remembered what happened last time when you went down there so you went to find Wally. He was talking to Tommy about something you can’t quite make out. “Hey, sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to tell you that I’ll be in the theatre storage room.” And before you can leave Wally says, “I’m coming with you Darling.” “But I-“ “you may think you need some alone time but not happening I’m coming with you.” He interrupts you as he takes your arm into his and walks down the hall to the theatre.
He lifts the hatch as you climb down the stairs and find the light. “Really, Walls I’m ok, go be with Maddie” you say trying to convince him to leave but also wanting him to stay. “Maddie can wait, my best friend just experienced her death for the first time and mine for a second time, there isn’t a chance in hell that I won’t be with you.” He says. “Ok, ok you can stay but I’m just warning you there’s only one couch in here and I plan on sleeping here.” You state to him. “Well, looks like we are sharing.” He said as he made his way to the couch with pillows you used last time. Joining him on the couch, silence fills the room until he asks. “If I go in my scar thing, will you wait for me?” without any hesitation you say “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, but you know you don’t need to. We can find him some other way without you reliving it.”
“Like you said, we all need answers from him and if he’s in hiding and I’m the only one that can go in there, I have to at least try.” He expressed. “It’s not going to be easy. What I saw, what you will see will be very traumatic. You feel it all over again. Everything Walls, if it wasn’t for your voice that directed me out of there, I don’t know what I would have done.” You say. “I can do it, I have to. I didn’t experience my death; I just know what you told me. I have to see it for myself.” He says as tears well in his eyes. “I will be there for you always Walls, even if I have to find my way in and relive it all again just to be with you, I would in a heartbeat.” You utter as you take his hand. You can feel your whole body feel hot as you hold his hand, wondering if he can feel it too. “Thanks Darling. Are you sure you want to sleep down here? Its creepy!” he says changing the subject. You drop his hand and put your in your lap. “It’s not that bad, I’ve experienced much worse.” You giggle. You both talk about anything to past time until you feel your eyelids getting heavy as you drift off to sleep.

Part 18
Summary: Dawn crosses over leaving the ghosts with more questions. And the ghosts discover what Mr Martin and Janet has been up too.
As Wally enters the classroom, you quickly wipe tears away from your eyes. “I’ll give you two a moment.” Tommy says as he leaves the room. “It’s nothing, Walls, I saw Lily’s date kiss another girl in front of her and felt bad I couldn’t her, Tommy saw that I was upset so he was just comforting me.” You reply no longer emotional, thanks resets. Wally lets out a sigh. “Shit, I’m sorry Y/N. I know it’s hard seeing her and not being able to do anything. Maybe we can talk to Maddie who can tell Simon that you can see her?” he suggested. “Thanks, but its ok. I don’t think Simon has told his Lily or any of his friends that he can see and speak to Maddie, plus they have bigger problems than mine.” You say. Wally gives you a hug.
You and Wally head back to the dance and see that Dawn isn’t in her spot. Suddenly all the lights flicker and you hear a humming sound. You look at Wally and he’s confused as Tommy, Rhonda and Charley appear out of the gym into the hall. “Did Dawn just cross over?” you ask. “Does anyone remember that happening when Janet crossed over?” Wally said. “Nope but come with me I have something to show you guys.” Rhonda says as she walks down the hall, ushering you to follow.
She leads you down to the boiler room and to another room hidden behind another bigger door. “Where are we? And why did you drag us down here?” You ask as you all pile into the room. “It’s called a fallout shelter; it was built in the school during the cold war. Look, I know I should have said something before, but I found this room and I found these.” She holds a notebook like the ones Mr Martin writes in during group. “He’s been writing about everything we have ever told him. All of our personal shit in these books.” She says as she moves another box revelling more notebooks. “Why would he do that?” Wally asks. “He’s been experimenting with us, talking about our trauma, studying us for his own benefit to cross over.” she says. “That doesn’t make any sense.” Tommy says. “It gets worse.” She says as she moves a barrel over. “I also found these. All the stuff we had on us when we died.” “My Walkman, I haven’t seen this since the accident.” You say as you pick it up noticing the other items in the barrel. “So, he’s’ been hiding all of this, studying us all for his benefit?” Charley asks. “Looks like it. I know I should have said something before when I suspected something, I just didn’t know what I would find out.” Rhonda says. Suddenly the door behind you slams shut. Wally and Tommy try to open the door but it wont budge. “What the fuck? Why is the door locked?” Wally yelled as he tried again to open the door. “Over here.” You say as you find another door out of the room. “Charley grab everything you can and let’s get out of here.”
You all head through the door and down a tunnel and then you are launched to the car park. Obviously, the hatch led to somewhere off campus. You gather yourself and run towards the school to find the others. You see Maddie running after Mr Martin and he’s gone before you can get any closer. The others arrive. “Maddie, what’s going on?” You ask. “I remember what happened to me. Mr Martin was there, and someone named Janet. She ran towards me and the next thing I know I’m here.” she says. “But Janet crossed over, that’s what Mr Martin said.” Tommy says. “What if he lied, we never felt what just happened when Janet crossed over.” Rhonda responds. “So, Janet stole Maddie’s body to get out of here? That’s what they have been studying us for to work out how it’s possible and Maddie just happened to be there when it happened.” You say confused and hurt about what they have done. You trusted them, you were friends with Janet, was that all fake.
You all head into the school as Maddie tells you all that she remembers from that night hanging back at end of the group Charley asks, “Did you tell him?” “No, I was too late. I saw him and Maddie kissing.” You whisper to him. “I’m sorry Y/N” he says as he grabs your arm to loop his. “Forget about me we have bigger issues to discuss.” You say. “Y/N your feelings are still valid even if there is other stuff going on” he says giving your arm a reassuring squeeze. Maddie leads everyone to the cafeteria to discuss what to do next.
“I don’t understand how he just vanished, where could he have gone?” Tommy asks as he paces back and forth. “I saw you and him running and I saw this red light and then he was gone.” You reply. “When I was holding my letter before, and walking passed the English room there was a red glow coming from under the door. What if that’s where he is” Rhonda says. “What are you saying?” you ask. “You said you saw a red glow and then he disappeared, what if he’s found a way into some twisted version of our hell. He was running past the marching band what of he figured out something we haven’t.” Rhonda says. Remembering that you told Charley to grab Mr Martins notebooks, “What if it’s in these notebooks? He must have kept a log of everything he was doing. If we read it, we might find out what he knows and how he disappeared.” You say. “Ok Wally, Charley and Y/N, you go get the notebooks and try to find out what he knows, and we will stay here to think of a plan.” Maddie says.
You, Charley, and Wally change back into your regular clothes head back to the fallout shelter to grab as many of Mr Martins notebooks as you can. You go down the stairs and try to open the door and it won’t move. “Why hasn’t this reset?” Wally says has he tries to open the door. “Charley, help me look around there could be another door around here.” You say as you fan out around the boiler room. Nothing. There is no other way into the shelter. You exit the boiler room and head outside. Wally runs over to the fence and gets annoyed when he sees the hatch that leads to the room on the other side of the boundary. Frustrated that he can’t get into the room he yells but you are distracted. Charley grabbed all our items when we were in the room before and you forgot that you had your Walkman on you. You are near the parking lot and see a red glow all around the ground. Like what you saw when Mr Martin disappeared.
“Hey, you guys” you yell to the guys who are still at the fence line. They turn their attention to you. “Everything ok, Darling” Wally asks as he and Charley make their way over to you. “I remembered I had my Walkman on me, and this red glow has appeared like when Maddie was chasing after Mr Martin. What if he’s in our traumas... scars whatever hiding because he knows we are getting close to whatever he and Janet have been hiding for so long.” You reply. “Um, Y/N there’s no red glow around.” Charley said confused. You take a moment to think and then you had a theory. “What if because it’s my scar. Where I died and I’m holding onto something I had that day. What if it’s like a key and when you have it near the place you die, it opens something that only I can step into. Like Rhonda said a glow appeared under the door where she died, and she was holding her letter. What if Mr Martin and Janet figured that out and he’s in hiding. He’s hiding in our scars and the only way we can find him is if we go into them”
“Not gonna happen.” Wally snaped as you suggested that you go into your scar. “Walls, it may be the only way we can find him. Who knows where he is? I at least have to try to go in to find him.” You say trying to reassure him. “But you can’t go in this thing and relive your death. It was traumatic, I was there, and it was awful. I don’t want that for you.” Wally sighed as he grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze. “Witnessing your death Walls, was the hardest things I have ever experienced, if I can experience that I can experience mine.” You said and before Wally or Charley can say anything, you turn and walk into the parking lot into your scar.

Part 17
Summary: After discovering that Wally and Maddie are going to homecoming together you spent the whole night in the storage room, leaving Wally and the others worried about you. Maddie shares a theory about her death. And it’s the homecoming dance where someone else admits their feelings for you.
It was the next day and you were still in the storage room under the stage. You hadn’t planned to stay there the whole night, but it felt good to be by yourself for once and not have one of the others bothering you. You get off the couch and go up the stairs and lift the hatch and walk on the stage. Walking the halls of the school you knew eventually you will run into someone. “Hey Y/N where have you been? We were looking everywhere for you.” Charley asks as he catches up to you. “I just needed some space, I’m ok.” You reply not wanting to talk about the night before, but you knew he would ask anyways. “So, how did it go? Tell me everything.” He asks. “I didn’t tell him.” you say. “I saw my family. My sister, her husband and for the first time in decades my parents. I was so overwhelmed seeing them but knowing they can’t see me, hurt Charley. I went to find Wally to talk it all out when I overheard Maddie ask him to the dance as friends.” You say back softly. “Ok, I didn’t expect that. Seeing your family must have been hard since yesterday was also your death anniversary.” He said. “Yeah, Wally looked happy when Maddie asked so I’m happy if he’s happy even if it isn’t with me.” You say back fighting tears from falling down your face. “But you said it was just as friends, right? Maybe you still have a chance?” Charley asked. Looking around to make sure there was no one else around you say. “Yeah maybe. I’ll just hang out tonight and see how it goes.” You said to him as you head to the teachers’ lounge.
As you walk in you see Wally, Tommy, Rhonda, and Maddie on the lounges as you can hear Maddie share a theory that she thinks one of her teachers may have killed her. “Oh, shit a teacher did this to you?” you ask as you approach the couches. “Yeah, maybe it’s looking that way yeah.” Before you can ask why she thinks that Wally grabs your arm and pulls you away from the group out the room. “Wally, what are you doing? I’m trying to see if there is anything I can do to help her.” You say as you try to get away from his grip on your arm. “Darling, I was worried about you last night? Where did you go? You said you wanted to talk to me about something.” He rambles on with question after question. “I saw my family here and I got overwhelmed so I went to the theatre storage room to be by myself I didn’t mean to, but I feel asleep.” You said. “I’m really sorry I scared you.” “Hey, its ok, I know it would have been hard to see them after all these years.” Wally says as he hugs you. “I wish you came and found me, I don’t like that you had to handle that by yourself, I was so worried when I couldn’t find you or when the others said they didn’t know where you were. It was a hard day for us yesterday.” He adds with a shaky voice. “I know I should have found you, I’m sorry Walls. I just had to get away and I remembered there was a couch in the storage room, and I knew no one would know where I was. But your right I should have at least told you.” you say as you let go of his hug.
“What did you want to talk about?” he asks. You try to give him an excuse but all you could come up with was “You know what I forgot, after all the emotions it must have slipped my mind.” You respond. “Ok, but can you promise me something? Promise to never go anywhere where no one knows where you are, we were all worried.” He asks looking in your eyes. This closeness you hadn’t had that moment since the storage room on New Year’s Eve years ago. “I promise Walls. I will go find the others and tell them I’m sorry then we can get ready for the dance.” You say to him pretending you didn’t know that he was already going with Maddie. “I forgot, Maddie asked me to be her date as a friend since she doesn’t know anyone and I know we always hang out together, I just felt bad, but I can tell her I it’s off and take you instead.” He says fractally barely breathing between words. “Walls its ok. Take Maddie I will hang out with Charley and Rhonda.”
At the dance, everyone had taken advantage of the theatre storage room and luckily the drama kids just did the musical Hairspray so there were heaps of dresses to choose from Charley was right, I could still tell Wally I love him, Maddie and him are just here as friends it’s not like they are dating. You pick up a dress you knew Wally would love, a dark blue midi dress with florals at the bottom. You head to the girl’s bathroom and change into your dress and do your hair and makeup. You walk out the bathroom and Tommy is standing there as if he was waiting for you.
“Hey, Y/N you look nice.” “Thank you.” You replied nervously as you and him walk to the gym. “Look I’m just gonna come out and say it, I like you Y/N and I have for a really long time. I never said anything because I assumed you and Wally were in love but after observing for years, I learnt that’s not true, that you two are just best friends.” He says. Your mind goes blank. He likes me? This whole time he has. “Tommy, I think you are really nice and I’m glad you and Wally are good friends, but I don’t see us as that. I’m sorry I just see you as a friend.” You say. “Is this because of what happened between me and Rhonda? We talked about it since then and it was so long ago.” He questioned. “No, I know you resolved things between you and her. But I am actually in love with Wally, I have been for 41 years. I’m telling him tonight. I’m really am sorry but I’m just telling the truth.” You say as you feel another weight lift off your shoulders. Finally, someone else knows, now you just need to tell him. “41 years? Why have you kept it for so long?” he asks. “I was actually going to tell him at homecoming in ’83 but he died, and then so did I and I didn’t want my feelings to get in the way when we were going through the transition between life and death. I couldn’t have done this without him, and I couldn’t risk him not replicating my feelings, he means so much to me.” You respond.
“Is that why Rhonda calls you chickee?” he laughs. “Yeah, that’s why. I’m actually going to tell him at the dance, I even picked out a dress in his favourite colour.” You say with a smirk on your face thinking about Wally. “Well, I’m happy for you guys, really. And I’m happy you were honest with me.” Tommy adds and he gives you a hug. You walk into the gym, already filled with students and you see posters up for homecoming queen and in the middle a photo of Maddie her friends set up.
You see Charley, Rhonda, and Maddie at the drinks table while they watch Wally dance around to Steppin’ out by Joe Jackson, a favourite song of his. “Y/N you look amazing, thank goodness they just did Hairspray because that dress was made for you.” Charley gushes as he directs you to take a spin. “Thanks.” You respond. “So, are you doing it tonight Chickee?” Rhonda asks as she takes another sip of punch. “I’m nervous as hell, but yes I am.” You reply as you fix your dress up. “And I’m gathering that we are talking about it in front of him, I gather Tommy knows?” Charley asks. “Yeah, she just told me after she rejected my feelings, but I’m happy for her.” Tommy says. “Wait what? You like Y/N?” Charley gasps as he puts down his drink and crosses his arms. “Yeah, for a while actually, but she was honest with me and doesn’t see me that way and says she loves Wally. But I all I want is to see her happy.” Tommy admits as Wally approaches, and you notice that he isn’t with Maddie.
“Wow you all look great.” Wally says and he turns his attention to you. “Especially you, Y/N.” he says as he wraps his arm around you. You feel heat rise to your cheeks as you ask him. “Hey, where’s Maddie?” “Oh, her friends have hatched some plan about finding how who killed her.” Wally responds as he puts his hands in his pockets. Out the corner of your eye you see your niece and her date at the photobooth. “Lily looks beautiful, I wish I was there for her.” You say as the others direct their attention to the photobooth. When you turn back around you see Maddie and Wally are no longer there as he has dragged her to the dance floor. You stood back and watched them dance and can’t help getting jealous. This was looking way more than them just being friends you thought. But how can I be mad. That was Wally’s personality to make everyone feel included and fit in. putting your drink down you say to the group. “I’ll be back, just need to head to the bathroom.” And you leave before the others can respond.
In the hallway, you spot Dawn in her usual spot. “Didn’t feel like joining the dance again this year?” you ask as you look up at her. “No. Those kids are so mean I saw two guys bully a girl because her outfit was 70s inspired and I couldn’t do anything about it.” She says as she strokes her hair through her hands. “That’s awful, kids of this generation suck.” You reply. “Well anyways I was heading to the bathroom, bye Dawn.” You say as you look at her for a response. You make your way to the bathroom and out the corner of your eye you see Wally lying on the grass looking up at the night sky. You can tell he is sad, so you decide to head outside to meet with him. You head to the door and just about to approach him, you see Maddie and Wally kiss. Your heart shattered into a million pieces and tears stream down your face as you witness them kiss. I really fucked this up you thought as you head back inside.
You go to the gym to try to talk to anyone, but Charley and Rhonda are nowhere to be seen, just Tommy. Shit I can’t let him see me like this, not after he admitted feelings for me. But it was too late tommy sees you and rushes towards you. “Hey, what’s wrong?” he says in a low tone. “I... I waited too long. I just saw Maddie and Wally kissing.” You mumble as you wipe tears from your face. “Shit I’m sorry Y/N. Come on let’s get out of here.” He says as he wraps his arm around you and directs you out of the gym. He takes you out of the gym and takes you to an empty classroom and he just lets you cry. “Fuck, I’m sorry Tommy, you shouldn’t have to see me this way you just- “he cuts you off. “It’s ok. I’m still your friend, I’m still going to support you.” he says as he wraps his arms around you in a hug. Suddenly you hear the door open, and Wally is standing there. “What’s going on Darling?"

Part 12
Summary: You and Wally share a special moment as you watch the sunrise, you confess your feelings to Janet. And you and Wally decide to write your obituaries when Wally tells you something he has been hiding.
After opening to Wally about your death, both of you decide to write your obituaries. You and Wally walk the halls, looking in all the classrooms looking for Mr. Martin but coming up short. You sport Dawn in her usual spot. “Dawn, have you seen Mr. Martin?” you ask. She continues to stare blankly at the light and stroking her hair through her hands. “No haven’t seen him.” You and Wally continue to walk around going to all the classrooms and nothing. Where the hell is he? You thought. “How about we just wait for group tomorrow we can ask him then.” Wally said. You nod and decide to walk to the cafeteria for some food.
It was the next day and you have woken earlier than usual like before sun rise, so you take that opportunity and head to your spot on the roof with an apple and watch the sun rise. You try to leave quietly trying not to wake Wally up asleep on the couch beside you. It was going good until you accidently bang your knee on the coffee table. “Darling, are you ok?” Wally yawns and his gaze on you. “Sorry Walls I couldn’t get back to sleep so I was going to watch the sunrise. Go back to sleep.” You whisper back to him. “Darling, its November, we may be dead, but it will still be cold. You know what I’m coming with you. Grab some blankets” he says as he gets up from the couch. “You don’t have to I will be ok.” You respond. “Too late I’m coming. I want to watch the sunrise too.” He says grabbing some blankets and some pillows. You and Wally leave the library and make your way to the roof. It was still dark out when you got on the roof. Wally arranges the pillows and blankets for you too and you and him sit down, wrap yourselves in more blankets and cuddle up next to him for extra warmth. He’s right bringing blankets I would freeze if he didn’t come with me. Suddenly you can feel your heartbeat beat faster as you are in Wally’s arms and a warm feeling spreads all through your body. You feel calm, at peace. The sun rises and paints the sky in yellow, orange, and pink. You and him don’t say anything just enjoy the peaceful moment watching the sun rise over the horizon. As the sun fully rises you and wally pack up the blankets and pillows and head back downstairs to the library.
“Hey, you two, where were you?” Janet says as she sees the blankets and pillows in your arms. “I woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to go on the roof and watch the sunrise. I accidently banged my knee on the coffee table and woke Wally up and he decided to join me. It was so peaceful. Exactly what I needed from all the emotions of yesterday.” You reply. Janet looks puzzled. “Are you ok, what happened yesterday?” she asked. “I told Wally about how I died yesterday.” You respond. “Oh, are you both ok? That must have been a lot” she said as she embraces you in a hug. “It was a lot but I’m glad you told me.” Wally says. “I’m going to go on my morning run if you want to join?” he asked. “No thanks I might just go have a shower.” You say. Wally nods and heads out to the field. You don’t realise you have a big smile on your face as he leaves the room and Janet notices too. “I see that smile Y/N you can’t deny it either. That’s a type of smile you have when you are in love. Oh, my goodness are you in love with Wally?” she says eagerly as this is the biggest thing to happen in forever. “I- I” you stutter not knowing what to say. “Ok, yes I do love him. I have loved him since last year. I was going to tell him at the homecoming game, but we all know how that went.” You say with a sigh of relief. It feels like a weight has been lifted you have finally admitted your feelings aloud even if it wasn’t to Wally. “But you can’t tell him I don’t want to ruin anything between us.” You add. “Eeek this is so exciting tell me everything! When did you first fall in love? How long as it been? Oo who else knows” Janet says rambling on with question after question. “I will tell you if you promise not to say anything.” You say. “Of course, I promise, now spill” she says after finally stops jumping around. Wow this really must be the most exciting thing to happen in a while. “It was our junior year, and we just came back from a family holiday Milwaukee, and I can’t actually pinpoint the exact moment I realized I had feelings for him, but it was on that trip. So, I eventually decided that I don’t want to tell him, he’s my only friend that I had since I always have my head in books always studying and never interacting with others. I didn’t want to lose him I can’t be alone.” You admit to Janet as more relief overwhelms you. “What’s stopping you from telling him now?” Janet asks. Not needing anytime to think of an answer you blurt out “Because whatever this thing is, whatever is trapping us here, I can’t face it alone. Wally has been supportive and so understanding that I can’t risk it admitting that I love him. If he doesn’t feel the same way and he can’t be around me anymore that- “tears well in your eyes “- that would break me.” “It’s ok Y/N come here.” She extends her arms giving you a hug. “Your secret is safe with me. How about you go have your shower and we can head to group when you’re finished.” Janet says. “Thank you for letting me talk, it helped get this off my chest.” You say. You head to the girls change rooms and no one is in there you make sure the door is locked and have a warm shower. You may not actually need a shower since you just reset but it felt good to be under running water to clear your mind. As you finish you dry off and put your clothes back on and head back to where Janet was to walk to group together.
You and Janet are the first ones there, so you decided to help Mr Martin with the chairs. “Um Mr Martin, is it ok if Wally and I talk to you after group today? It’s about our obituaries.” You ask. “Yes, of course I will go fetch the samples from my office.” He says as he leaves the gym. “He has his own office?” you ask Janet confused. “It’s just an old room no one uses that he uses and keeps his belongings. Though I don’t know where it is.” She said. You aren’t sure but you think she may be lying about that last part, the look on her face when you asked was weird, even weird for Janet. Who knows they might have been close since they died not far apart maybe he was her teacher in life? And they have been here just the two of them for a while before Rhonda died. You let it go but also keep a mental note just in case
“Y/N and Wally have decided it was time to write their obituaries today.” Mr Martin said to the group. “Its brutal. When I wrote mine, I cried for a week which is weird to admit.” Tommy said weirdly neither you or Wally knows how he died or even how Rhonda died. “If you don’t mind me asking, what happened to you?” You ask. “It’s ok it was during summer school, I flunked on maths and if I didn’t attend summer school, I would have had to repeat a year and not be with my friends. I was walking to school and just got on school grounds and suddenly collapsed. Then I ended up here. I didn’t find out until my memorial 5 days later I had a sudden brain bleed and died instantly” he said. “Holy shit that’s terrible” Wally says as you gasp in shock. “Yeah, it was scary but not as scary as Rhonda’s she- ““Shush blondie I haven’t told them yet.” Rhonda buts in. Yours and Wally’s eyes lad on hers as she snaps at Tommy. “I was murdered by my guidance counsellor and that’s all I want to say ok newbies.” She said as yours and Wally’s jaws flew open in shock. “Yes, but you have done some healing and that’s what I want from Y/N and Wally. Mr Martin says as he looks at Rhonda as she gives a sarcastic nod. “So, here’s some examples, no rush when you’re ready” he hands you the examples as group ends. You can see Wally is overwhelmed and you take his hand letting him know that you are there for him. “So, that was a lot. Do you want to do this together? It might help.” You said as you can feel his hand grip yours harder. “Actually, yeah that will be ok.” He says as you leave the gym and head to the library.
In the library you find a quiet corner away from the main door so no one will disturb you and luckily it was Sunday so there was no students or teachers as distraction. You look over the examples and even if they were old and no one you knew you felt emotional reading them. You gave Wally a reassuring nod and squeeze his hand as you grab a pencil and paper and begin writing. You finish before Wally; you actually didn’t notice he has barley written anything. “It’s ok Wally, you don’t have to finish today.” You whisper as you can tell he’s emotional. “No, I have to do it now otherwise I will properly never do it.” He responds fighting back tears. You take his hand again and give it another squeeze. “How about I give you some space, if you want you can read mine.” You say. “Um actually yeah but don’t leave the library.” He crocks still fighting back tears refusing to let them fall. “I will go find a book to read and be over there.” You say to him as he turns his attention back to the paper. You get up and leave Wally but not going too far away so you can keep a close eye on him. Writing your obituary was the hardest thing you have done but you know it will be harder on Wally as he doesn’t show his emotions. You find a book and sit at two tables away from him so you can keep an eye on him but also far enough that he can’t see you are watching him.
Two hours have passed, and you notice he’s finished. he breaks down in tears and you rush over to give him a hug. You don’t say anything, you don’t need to as tears stream down your face. You rarely saw him so emotional he always kept to himself which isn’t healthy. You on the other hand was always emotional. During high school and the levels of stress subjects put on you was overwhelming, but Wally knew exactly what to say to help. You hoped that he thought he had to be the strong, stable one between you too, maybe now in this afterlife he can let go and not be afraid to show those emotions. “That was the second hardest thing I’d ever had to do.” He said as he wipes his tears on his grey shirt. “What was the first one?” you ask curious. “Watching you die, and I couldn’t do anything to stop it.” He said softly. You sit back into your chair. “I didn’t even know you actually witnessed it; I was focusing on my mom that I didn’t even know where you came from.” You whisper as reality floods your brain; you had witnessed his death and he had witnessed yours. “Yeah, I guess that’s how you felt when I died but, you didn’t have enough time to react.” He replied. You sigh as you hug him again. “No human ever has had to witness each other’s deaths like we did Walls, how do we even recover from that? When that guy tackled you and you didn’t move it felt like the world stopped like all the air in my lungs was sucked out of me.” “That’s exactly what I felt when I saw you die, my best friend, my person getting flung over a car and I couldn’t even help you. I tried to actually push you out of the way, but nothing happened.” You and him sit in silence as the realization overwhelms you both. “I’m glad I have you to talk all this through I don’t think I could do this without you, as selfish as that sounds.” Wally says as he looks at you through tear-stricken lashes. “I feel the same.” You say as you embrace in each other’s arms. “that’s enough sadness for one day how about we go do something to take our minds of this and we can give the obituaries to Mr Martin tomorrow.” You say wiping tears away from your eyes as well as his. He nods and you and him walk out the library.
You find Mr Martin down the hall and hand him your obituaries in hope to never see them again. “Here’s our obituaries, I kind of understand why you made us write these, so we can move on and not hold on to our deaths.” You say as you and Wally hand them over. “Exactly right, when the others did it, they felt relief and you will do eventually. Now if you excuse me, I have to go” Mr Martin says he rushes of. “Was that just me or was he in a rush?” Wally asked. “No, he was, wonder what that was all about?” you replied. You wondered what he could be in a rush for, I mean he’s dead what could he be needing to do so urgently.

Part 11:
This part is back to the original format (so when you read “you” or “I’ it’s back to your character POV)
Summary:
It’s the day after the Halloween dance and you wake up in the teachers’ lounge, not in your costume with no recollection on how you got there, as you search for answers you confide in Wally about your death.
You wake up on the couch in the teachers’ lounge with no idea how you ended up there. You get up and see teachers around buy no ghosts. You look down and see you are no longer in your costume. What the fuck you thought to yourself. What happened. Eager for answers you get up and roam the halls until you find someone to hopefully refresh your memory. You spot Dawn sitting in her usual spot on the library book return cubby. “Dawn, what happened to me last night do you know?” you asked her frantic. She lets out a laugh. “Oh, you were hyped up on sugar, like I’ve never seen before. You ran around the gym until you crashed on some chairs.” “I did what? How was I so hyped up on sugar? I thought it would reset.” You say confused. “I have no clue, but it was funny. Wally was chasing after you to try to help but you kept out running him. Which is even more funny since he’s a jock.” She replied still laughing. “I- huh I don’t- “you stutter, stunned at her confession of the night before. Just as you were about to go find Wally, Rhonda turns around the corner and imminently laughs at you “Hi their Road Runner, you were hilarious last night.” “So, I have been told I still don’t. understand what the fuck happened. How did I get so hyped up on candy? I thought it resets. And how the hell did I end up in my clothes asleep in the teachers lounge?” you reply all hysterical and confused. “I don’t know about the hyper sugar thing, but I can tell you that after you crashed on the pile of chairs, Wally carried you out of the gym and he obviously changed you.” Rhonda reply’s still giggling about the thought of you last night. You shouldn’t be surprised that it was Wally that took care of you. He was always so kind and looking out for you ever since you were kids, that was one of the reasons why you love him so much. “Thanks. I’m going to go find him and I guess Mr Martin as to why I was so hyper last night.” You say. You leave and walk toward the cafeteria in search for Wally.
Once again you can’t find him. Where the hell are you, Wally? You thought to yourself. You head to your spot up on the school roof and there you spot him as he looks deep in his thoughts. “Hey, you” you say as you approach him as he lifts his head up. “Gosh, I didn’t think you were ever waking up today. Its nearly lunch.” He says. You thought to yourself, huh, he didn’t bring up last night first thing and laugh at you about it. You sat beside him, body facing his. “I wanted to say thank you. Dawn and Rhonda said you helped me last night when I was all hyper.” “Of course, I was going to look after you Darling, it’s what best friends are for. I have never seen you eat so much candy in ages not since you got that diabetes scare when you were 8.” He replies in a soft tone. “Yeah, it was weird I didn’t reset or something I don’t know. But I appreciate it Walls.” You utter. “I might need to go find Mr Martin to get some answers.” ‘Speaking of him” Wally says. “He asked me last night if we have given more thought of us writing our obituaries. He said it will help us heal.” Silence falls between you two until he says “You haven’t even told me about how it happened. I just now that you got hit by a car after seeing me die.” “It’s been hard, trying to come to terms with it, but I’m ready to tell you how it happened.” You say.
You give him every detail, how you felt when you saw his death, how heartbroken you were losing him, being so numb from the pain that even walking was hard. Tears stream down your face and you can see Wally is fighting back his tears but failing miserably. “My mom had to actually drag me away from your body because I refused to leave you.” You say choking on tears. “When she did and we left, she had to use the bathroom and I went to the car, I just put my Walkman on starting to listen to music when a car was speeding in the parking lot and hit me and that was it. Next thing I woke up on the ground, saw a crowd of people around and I can hear my mom screaming holding a body and then I realised it was me. And then I saw you.” You say as you wipe your tears with your sweater. Wally doesn’t know what to say all he does his wraps his arms around you and give you the warmest hug imaginable as you continued to sob into his chest. You and him just sit there, in each other’s arms until you notice the sun has started to set. “You know I actually feel lighter getting that all of my chest. Maybe Mr Martin is right, maybe we should start writing our obituaries?” You ask. “Yeah, if you’re sure Darling we can go find him.” Wally responds. You two get up and head down the stairs, off the roof to talk to him.

Part 10:
This part will be in Wally’s POV (so when you read “you” or “I” its referring to Wally and not your character.)
Summary:
Wally reflects over the past couple of weeks. His death, his new afterlife, his best friend’s death, being stuck in the “in between”, other ghosts, homecoming, his own memorial, and the Halloween dance where he realizes he may have some feelings he didn’t know he had.
The last few weeks have been overwhelming. Not only did I die but also my best friend Y/N on the same day. We have been stuck in school the place I couldn’t wait to leave behind and begin a new chapter, because as soon as I try to leave, some force pushes me back to the place I died. And to find out there are others that have been here for 20 plus years, haunting the halls waiting for their chance to cross over. Then there was this overwhelming fear of being stuck here for entirety. If I didn’t have Y/N I think I would have lost my mind. Then there was the homecoming dance and as well as our joint memorial service and seeing our family and I still haven’t fully expressed how that felt. Seeing my mom and dad and not for them to hear me and hold me. Not only that I had to be there for Y/N. she is in the exact same spot as me. Eager to talk to her family and tell them she is ok. And, not knowing when you will see them again. I had to be strong for her to comfort her and hold on to my emotions because God, she was there for me when I crashed out before it was my turn to be the strong one.
3 weeks go past since our deaths, and I am getting more comfortable with the concept of being here. The other ghosts are great especially Tommy. He has become a quick friend someone who I can talk to since he has been here for a year. Then there were the group sessions run by Mr Martin. He is still wanting us to write our obituaries to help us cope with our death and help us move on and not hold on to the living world as much. The Halloween dance came, and Y/N and I still got to do our group costumes as Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from. Rocky thanks to Janet and Dawn for being making our costumes. They tell you to try them out, so Y/N and I head to the bathrooms. I changed quickly and decided to check on Y/N. I opened the door and there she was, her shirt off with just her bra on. “Wally geez turn around” she says as she tries to find something to cover herself up with. “Sorry I… sorry” I mumble as I close the door. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks. Am I blushing over seeing Y/N with her bra on? She did have amazing breasts- no. I can’t think like that. She is your best friend; I can’t think like that right? Thoughts fly around as she walks out of the bathroom, and we walk back to the girls to show them costumes. As soon as they see them, I ran out of there. I can’t be next to her not now when I just had that thought. After all these years, is my heart telling me something? No, it can’t be. I don’t want to jeopardize our friendship over feelings I don’t know are genuine. I need some time to think, and I know the perfect place we haven’t used in years so I know that will be the last place for her to look giving me some time to sort out my emotions.
I quickly changed and avoided any interaction with anyone and went to our old spot under some bleachers on the football field. I lay down and try to gather my thoughts. She is your friend; she will forgive you for what you did accidently. She will properly laugh it off because. That’s the type of person she is. Funny, caring, kind beautiful, sex- no I can’t finish that thought. Ugh when did things become so complicated. Maybe I do have some feelings for her I don’t know but I can’t tell her, not yet anyways she still trying to come to terms with her death, heck she hasn’t even talked about her death all I know is that she was hit by a car. I have to be there as a friend, she doesn’t need the confusion of my feelings to confuse her.
It wasn’t long until she found me, of course Darling would find me. I swear she knows me better than I know myself. “There you are, I have been looking for you for ages.” She says as she sits beside me. I don’t know what to say. “Come on Wally talk to me. Its ok I don’t care you saw me in my bra it’s not a big deal to me.” she says. “I’m sorry Darling, I freaked out, I thought you would be mad that I walked in on you. I just don’t want anything to change ever between us. You and me against whatever this thing is, keeping us trapped at school I don’t want anything to change because I accidently walked in on you.” I respond still laying on the ground. “Wally, nothing you say or do will never make me not want to me your friend. If I was mad, I wouldn’t have made that joke. It’s ok.” She spoke. I get up off the floor “You really are one in a million friend you know that right?” “Oh, I know I’m the best, you’re lucky to have me.” She sassed me back as you embraced in a hug. “Come on let’s go get something to eat, we may be dead, but we apparently still need to eat, which I still don’t get but whatever.” I can’t tell her; I need to be her friend she doesn’t need the added pressure of my confession.
Before I knew it, it was time for the dance. Already I can hear students in the gym and the best music blaring from the speakers. I quickly change and I don’t even think about waiting for the others because in the first time since death, I wanted to have fun. Mr Martin was already there and walks over. “Great costume Wally, who are you meant to be?” he asked, “Rocky Balboa from Rocky and Y/N is Adrian.” You respond. “Have you and Y/N thought about writing your obituaries? It will really help you with the healing progress.” He said. He really seems eager for us to write them it hasn’t even been a month since we died, and he wants us to talk about our deaths and move on from it when it is all still raw and emotional. “Not yet but I can talk to Y/N about it.” “Excellent, it will help you both heal, like it did for the others. I can get some samples for you to look over.” He said a little to eagerly. Then Y/N walks in with Rhonda, Tommy, Janet, and Dawn but I can’t help but look at her. Wait no stop those thoughts Wally. “Finally, you guys are here. It’s been me and Mr Martin for what feels like ages, and he’s just been staring at me.” I shout to try to talk over the music and the others. Y/N takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor with the others in tow. And other good thing about being dead is that we can eat all the candy we want because our stomachs just reset which is still so weird.
As the night continues Mr Martin announces that he has finished tallying the votes for best costume, which should obviously go to Y/N. she looks so – no. not finishing that thought. “I have finished going over the votes for best costume. The winner gets to pick the movie for the next movie night. And the winner is Wally for dressing as Rocky Balboa.” Mr Martin announces to the group. Oh shit, I won. Excitement fills my body. It was just a silly costume contest, but I won. And for the first time since my death, I felt happy.

Part 9:
Summary: You and Wally talk about the bathroom incident and get ready for the Halloween dance while you notice something going on between Rhonda and Tommy.
You don’t know how long you have searched the halls for Wally after he abruptly left when you joked about him walking in on you changing. The only place you haven’t searched was yours and his spot under the bleachers. You head outside towards the bleachers when you spot Rhonda kicking the vending machine. “The stupid thing didn’t drop the soda; this one is the only decent one around.” She yells still kicking the machine. You walk over to her and use your elbow and wacked it and the soda fell. “Wally found out a spot that if you hit it, the soda will fall.” “Thank you. I saw Wally before he looked distant, is everything ok?” Rhonda asks with concern. “I think he’s ok. Dawn and Janet made us Halloween costumes and we were trying them out when he walked in and saw me still changing with only my bra on.” You say “Wait aren’t you guys best friends; you haven’t walked in on each other before?” Rhonda responds with a sassy tone. “Nope that was the first. I have been looking for him for ages to talk about it.” “Well good luck with that I haven’t seen him in a while.” Rhonda says as she walks away.
Now back on track you head under the bleachers and there he was laying on his back looking up at the rows of bleachers from above. “There you are, I have been looking for you for ages.” You say as you sit beside him. Wally doesn’t say anything. “Come on Wally talk to me. Its ok I don’t care you saw me in my bra it’s not a big deal to me.” You say eager for him to say something. “I’m sorry Darling, I freaked out, I thought you would be mad that I walked in on you. I just don’t want anything to change ever between us. You and me against whatever this thing is, keeping us trapped at school I don’t want anything to change because I accidently walked in on you.” He finally responds still laying on the ground. “Wally, nothing you say or do will never make me not want to me your friend. If I was mad, I wouldn’t have made that joke. It’s ok.” You said. He gets up off the floor “You really are one in a million friend you know that right?” “Oh, I know I’m the best, you’re lucky to have me.” You sassed him back as you embraced in a hug. “Come on let’s go get something to eat, we may be dead, but we apparently still need to eat, which I still don’t get but whatever.”
The next day was the big dance. Teachers and students were busy decorating the gym with spiders, pumpkins, skeletons, ghosts (rude) and everything remotely spooky. You Wally, Janet, Rhonda, and Tommy were hanging out discussing who in the living world will have the best costumes. “How many girls do you reckon will dress up as Alex Owens from Flashdance? After that movie came out it was all the girls could talk about for weeks?” you ask to the group. “Oh yeah I remember that. It was all the living girls would talk about.” Tommy added. “It was a good movie. Wasn’t it Wally?” you asked as you nudged his shoulder. “I only saw it because I made you watch Strocker Ace. I only agreed because it was a bad movie. Wally said. “Shush you loved it. Its ok you don’t want to admit liking it, but I know you did. You wouldn’t stop doing the dance on the way back to your truck.” You giggled as you mimicked Wally doing the dance. “Do the dance right now Moose, I have got to see that!” Rhonda chimed in laughing. “Ha ha very funny.” Wally says as he rolls his eyes and gives you a look saying “That was meant to stay between us Y/N” “oops” you laugh as well as the others.
Later it was time to get ready. The gym was already getting full of students and music blaring through the speakers. You get dressed this time making sure that the bathroom door was locked, you changed into your costume that Janet and Dawn made. As you exit the bathroom you spot Rhonda and Tommy and if you’re not mistaken, they seem close. “Wow you guys look great! Who are you dressed as?” You ask them. Clearly frazzled that you were their Tommy says, “Oh hey didn’t see you there.” As he looks over to you blushing a bit. Whatever is going on between those two must be recent, you thought to yourself. “I’m Michael Carrington from Grease 2 and- ““I’m Patsy from class of 1984.” Rhonda butts in also looking flustered and she is also blushing. Just as you were about to ask them about it, Dawn and Janet exit the bathroom. “Dawn, I love your Annie costume and Janet your scientist costume looks great.” “Thank you we have been working on these all day.” Janet responds not noticing the weird tension between Tommy and Rhonda.
You all walk into the dance and of course Wally is already there dancing along to the music. “Finally, you guys are here. It’s been me and Mr Martin for what feels like ages, and he’s just been staring at me.” Wally shouts to try to talk over the music. As the others laugh you notice Janet ging a weird look to Mr Martin. As the night continues, You, Wally, and the others all dance and eat as so much candy. The great thing about being dead, you never get full because it just resets. Something you are still trying to get used too. Meanwhile everyone has been looking around at the living students and trying to figure out who they are meant to be dressed as. “Told you there will be a lot of girls dressed as Alex from Flashdance” you say cheerfully. As you guessed before around 80% of the girls are in Flashdance costumes. “I have finished going over the votes for best costume. The winner gets to pick the movie for the next movie night. And the winner is Wally for dressing as Rocky Balboa.” Mr Martin announces to the group. And for the first time since your death, Wally is happy and excited even if it was just a silly costume contest, he was happy. And seeing him so happy made you feel butterflies swarm around in your stomach. It was in that moment you realised your feelings for Wally were stronger than ever. You thought to yourself maybe you can tell him how you feel after all.

Part 8:
Summary: It’s been three weeks since your death as Halloween rolls around, the ghosts are busy planning for the big Halloween school dance and Wally walks in on you…
It’s been 3 weeks since you and Wally have been dead, and it also happens to be Halloween tomorrow. Normally you and Wally would do movie characters, we picked it out already and anything. You and him were meant to dress up as Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from one of Wally’s favourite movies, Rocky. Ever since you were kids, your moms would dress you in couple’s costumes because they thought it was cute and it became a tradition for us every Halloween. And of course, you will get to see everyone else have fun at the Halloween dance while you will most likely be eating all the Halloween candy waiting for the night to be over. over the last couple of weeks, the other ghosts have been really nice to you and Wally even Rhonda was making more of an effort to be your friend though most of the time you spent in the library since you were dead you now have an excuse to read every single book.
Wally walks into the library, your nose so buried in your book that you didn’t even notice him walk in. “I thought I would find you in here, come on its time for group. You had been so focuses on your book you didn’t realise how late it had gotten. “Fuck I’m sorry I was really into this book. Let’s go don’t want Rhonda to find a reason not to like us because we are late.” You say all frazzled. You place the book down and You and Wally head to the gym. You both sit down as Mr Martin has already started. “Great to see you two have finally joined us. We are discussing the Halloween dance and who we should go as.” Janet chimes in. “I’m dressing up as Rosalind Franklin a British chemist.” You nod at her like you know who she’s talking about but, you have no clue who she was. As the others share their ideas Mr. Martin looks at you and Wally. “This will be your first of many afterlife Halloween parties, what do you two normally do for Halloween?” he asks. “When we were younger our moms would dress us in matching character costumes like Mickey and Minnie Mouse because they thought it was cute but Y/N and I still- used to carry on the tradition. We were going to be Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino from Rocky.” Wally said with a little emotion in his tone realising that the two of you won’t be able to carry on with tradition. “That’s a great movie, I loved Rocky.” Tommy chimed in. “Maybe Janet and Dawn could help you make some costumes?” he added. “Really? You guys will help? Thank you.” Now you respond a bit more excited, maybe the Halloween dance wont suck after all.
As group ends, You and Wally meet Janet and Dawn in the home economics room and with your help and what supplies you found they made pretty accurate costumes. “Wow you guys these look great!” you say as Dawn finishes up on your top. “Go try it on see how it fits.” Janet says excitedly. You and Wally leave to head to the bathrooms to change. Wally finished putting on his costume and came to check in on you when he walks in on you changing. “Wally geez turn around” you say as you try to find something to cover yourself since all you had on was your bra. “Sorry I... sorry” he quickly stumbles out of the bathroom. You quickly finish putting your costume on and meet Wally out in the hall. “Well, it was only time that one of us would walk in when we are changing.” You giggle as you see Wally’s cheeks turn pink. “We should go back and let the girls see our costume’s” He mumbles avoiding the conversation. Did he just blush? You wonder what it could mean. You and Wally walk back into the home economics room and Janet says “Those costumes turned out great. You two might even win the costume challenge.” “Wait you guys do a costume challenge too?” Wally says. “Yep, whoever has the best costume gets to pick the next movie for movie night.” Dawn chimes in also giggling with pins in her mouth which is not at all disturbing. “Cool I’m going to change.” Wally says and before any of you can respond he’s already left. “What was that about?” Janet says with concern. “I think he’s a bit freaked out because he walked in on me when I was changing, and he saw me in my bra.” You respond back. Both Janet and Dawn look at each other sensing something going on with you and him and before they can respond, you interrupt them “Thanks again girls I owe you, see you later.” And you leave quickly not wanting for them to make any more comment about the situation. You changed back into your clothes and went to try to find Wally.

Summary: It’s the day of yours and Wally’s joint memorial service at school and you see your family for what maybe the last time.
The next few days go in a blur. Mr. Martin is trying to get you to open up about yourself, to share things about yourself and how you are coping. You’re not really. After the dance when the principal mentioned a memorial reality hit like a train. I’m dead. It’s not a dream I’m dead and so is Wally. You are not the only one struggling to talk about yourself in group, Wally is too. He’s shared with you some things, but you can tell he’s holding back maybe the same reason why I am too.
Wednesday arrives it’s the day of your joint memorial service. Teachers and students have been all over the gym setting y up chairs and bringing in flowers. And before you know it, it’s time to start. The other ghosts are already sitting down with you and Wally. The doors open and students and staff pile into the room and then you notice your parents and your sister Mary. They look like they haven’t slept at all, even from a distance you can tell. Mary is quiet which is not like her she’s normally the loud 14-year-old girl who loved horses and music you’ve never seen her sad until now. You don’t even realise but you have been crying ever since your family walked into the gym. Wally sitting beside you puts him arm around you to comfort you. Wally’s parents are next to arrive, and they look just as devastated as your parents. The gym was filled with all your favourite things. Your favourite flowers, books you love, things with your favourite colour and endless photos of you and Wally around. There were footballs and other sports Wally loves, posters of his favourite music groups. All the special things of you and his life around the gym.
The room goes quiet as Mr Smith heads to the stage. “Good morning, everyone, today is going to be tough as we mourn and celebrate the lives of Y/N and Wally Clark. If you could turn your attention to the projection screen, we have made a photo montage of them.” Photos of you and Wally are shared on the screen along with music. Photos of when you two were young all the way up until your last photo together which happened to be 2 days before your deaths. Tears fill your eyes as you run out the room not being able to handle it. it’s your own memorial, you’re not meant to see it but because you are stuck in this ‘in between’ you must witness not only your own pain, but also your family’s and even Wally’s. You leave tears still streaming down your face and air struggling to get to your lungs you just walk as for as your legs will take you before you can’t walk anymore and you drop to the floor, put your head between your hands and bring your knees close to your chest as you sob.
“Hey Darling.” Wally says as he finds you. He crouches down next to you and puts his arm around you. “Well, I guess it’s my turn to be the mess and be embarrassing. I knew it was going to be hard but that-“ you can’t even finish what you are saying as you choke on your words. You feel a lump at the back on your throat. “It’s ok darling, we can get through this. No one besides the other ghosts the sat through their own memorial before” He whispers. Wally has always called you Darling for as long as you remember but now something makes you feel different. Not in a bad way but maybe in a good way. Before you know it, your memorial is over, and you can see your family in the hall as they make their way to the parking lot. This may be the last time you see your family that is until Mary starts high school, so you follow them, just to be near them. You try to speak to talk to them to let them know you are ok… well okish but they can’t hear you. They get to their car and leave. Overwhelmed with emotions you drop to your knees sobbing uncontrollably. Maybe it was time to try to share and talk about my emotions with group.
You take minute to stop crying, you and Wally head back inside. “Wally is it ok if I just have some alone time?” you ask as you make your way down to the teachers’ lounge seemingly where all the other ghosts like to hang out. “I don’t like the idea of you being by yourself when you have been in such a state. He replies. “I will be ok, nothing bad is going to happen, I’m already dead. You silently laugh. “At least tell me where you will be so if I need to, I can check on you. Wally responds. You can tell he’s emotional too. “I’ll be in our spot on the roof, I will be ok I just need a minute to myself. You know how I get when I get overwhelmed. Wally nods as he walks to the teachers’ lounge, and you head in the opposite direction. You get to the roof, and you expect yourself to burst into more tears but to your surprise you don’t. you just sit there quietly watch the world go by, something you need to get used to since you don’t know how long you will be trapped here.
