another brilliant addition to this for those who headcanon that regulus’ animagus was a black cat:

After having Minnie and Poppy for a few years Sirius and Remus talk about getting another cat. James overhears them talking about it one day and immediately runs and finds a tiny black kitten, gets a name tag made at a pet store, buys it a star themed collar, and then breaks into their flat and just leaves the cat.

Sirius and Remus come home at the end of the day and there is just a black kitten sitting in the middle of their hallway. They think it’s Reggie and Sirius starts talking to it like it is him and asks him what he wants, and to change back, and ‘why are you still a cat it’s been hours’ and ‘when did you get a collar??’

Remus figures it out about 30 minutes in but it takes Sirius literal hours before he is calling James on the mirror and James just laughs so hard. (Harry is in the background yelling ‘kitty!’ at the top of his lungs)

Sirius and Remus had two cats, a small mostly white kitten named Poppy and a grey tabby named Minnie. Sirius was the one to bring them home one day and to Remus’ surprise they were the first cats that ever let him pet them, they actually seemed happy to be around him, and Remus soon realized that while he thought he was a dog person, seeing that he was in love with a man who could turn into one, but soon realized that he was a cat person when he sat down to read with a cup of tea and Minnie laid right next to him and purred as he pet her.

Sirius loves calling them different nicknames, like instead of Poppy he calls her ‘Madam’ and buys her little bows and even went as far to dress her up as a nurse for halloween one year (Minnie was obviously forced into a witches hat). He calls Minnie ‘Professor’ whenever he sees her with Remus as he is reading and Remus secretly thinks it’s adorable.

Sirius insists on constantly taking pictures of the cats and Remus, as he thinks Remus with a cat on his lap is one of the cutest sights in the world, and one year made them have a photo shoot to make kitten Christmas cards. He sent one to McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey and both of them have it hanging in their offices at Hogwarts.

Neither of the cats like Peter, but Harry and Lily love them, so much so that one of Harry’s first words was ‘kitty’.

James thinks it hilarious that Sirius named them after McGonagall and Pomfrey. When he found out he laughed for at least an hour about it.

They can’t have kids, and while helping raise Harry is amazing, getting to come home to two cute cats that they get to call their own makes them feel like a big happy family.

Bueno, tengo más así que los voy a agregar: prefiere, en muchas ocasiones, la ropa "muggle" porque tienen mayor variedad de cosas para elegir; jamás se quita su chaqueta de cuero y muy pocas personas (probablemente solo James al principio) tienen permitido tocarla, es una especie de «objeto de apego» y lo hace sentir seguro/protegido; uno de sus mecanismos de defensa, es atacar antes de que lo ataquen a él, por lo que a veces termina diciendo cosas que no siente/piensa; con figuras de autoridad es un "acomodador" y se quedará en silencio mientras la otra persona grita, absorbiendo todo y luego vera como responde porque en ese momento le es físicamente imposible, mientras que si los gritos vienen de alguien de su edad o alguna persona a la que no le tiene respeto, explota en el instante, gritando con la misma intensidad; tiene el cabello ondulado/rizado y si bien le gusta usar el cabello largo, no le agrada lo mucho que puede llegar a parecerse a su madre o a Bellatrix cuando esto ocurre; tiene pesadillas frecuentes, y a menudo, se despierta en medio de la noche y no puede volver a dormirse, debido a esto comenzó a escribir y le terminó agarrando el gusto, ahora tiene un diario; comenzó a fumar para tener una excusa para no hablar con alguien o para salir al exterior en las reuniones Black, pero se le hizo vicio; por último (por ahora), muchas veces asumió castigos por cosas que él no había hecho, para que no regañaran a Regulus.

Tengo tantos hc de Sirius que ya no se que me inventé yo y que leí en algún lado 😭 pero mis favoritos siempre van a ser que habla francés, inglés y un poco de italiano y español; Andrómeda —Andie, Andy— es su prima favorita, pero de pequeño también se llevaba muy bien con Narcisa y respetaba a Bellatrix; sabe tocar el piano desde pequeño y de grande aprendió a tocar la guitarra (aunque también amo cuando lo ponen tocando el violín aunque siento que el violín es regulus); el día que se dió cuenta de que nunca sería suficiente para los estándares de su familia, decidió que si no podía encajar en ese puesto, sería incluso "peor" de lo que ya era; sabe bailar múltiples bailes de salón e incluso disfruta hacerlo, pero jamás lo admitiría en voz alta <3

Puedo seguir por horas, que alguien me saque a Sirius Black del sistema, lo amo demasiado.

My favourite part of being in the Marauders fandoms is how not chill all of us are. Like I have never meet a ‘casual’ Marauders fan, it’s always some crazy mental shit. I need that kind of dedication in every fandom I’m in

Dean and Sam from supernatural are like the black Brothers except Regulus is the one who got away and left Sirius behind this time and idk how i don't see more people talking about it.

They are literally Regulus and Sirius with some things slightly changed, like Dean (Sirius) having the need for approval and blind obedience instead, or Sam (Regulus) being the one who wants to get out, who questions the orders and eventually finds his way out.

But a thing that doesn't change is how the older brother sacrifices his childhood so the little brother can have one, and the way they would die for each other but still fight like little kids, the way is so clear that the only family they can really trust is each other, that never changes, "always his little brother" in every universe.
