It was late at night, you had your bags packed, and you were ready for his signal. That was when you saw him pull up to your window.
You opened it and shimmed through, dropping yourself into the back. You quickly moved to the front of the car.
"Eds!" A smile grew across your face.
"Y/n!" He gave you a hug, well as much of one as he could.
He started the car, it was loud as hell. You heard a door fling open and there your parents were, standing there shouting at you to come back.
You and Eddie drove off.
"Where are we going?" You asked.
"I'm taking you far away from here." He told you, "How does South Carolina sound?"
"South Carolina?! Wait, what about you?"
"I'm gonna stay in Hawkins, it's not safe for you there, so I'm taking you somewhere safe."
"But I don't want to leave you!"
"I promise I will visit, maybe we'll play some DnD once you find a good place to stay. I just want you to be safe, away from your crazy ass parents!"
You sat in silence for a lot of the ride, he stopped by some drive thrus to get something to eat. You willing ask some fries, and stole some of his.
You were five hours in and you had to take a piss.
"Eds, can we stop by a gas station real quick?" You pleaded. He turned into one.
"I need to get gas anyway, go get some snacks for us!" He called out as you ran off inside.
You picked up snacks, two slushies, and some water. You paid and ran out to the truck.
You and Eddie hit the road, he thanked you for his slushie with a kiss on the cheek. You both talked, laughed, and flirted.
"You know I love you, right?" He said out of nowhere.
"And I love you too.." You couldn't help but stare at all of his little details. His demin jacket, hellfire shirt, rings on his fingers, and his tattoo that you can just barely see.
You had fallen asleep during the ride and when you woke up, you and Eddie were cuddled up. You looked around, you were inside the car and parked inside of a lot.
You counted the cars driving by until you realized there was a police car driving near. You ducked your head into Ed's shoulder.
"Eddie, we need to go." You whispered.
He woke up, startled at how close you were.
He turned on the engine and began to drive.
The cop was following behind the truck.
"How far are we?"
"Just two hours."
"Let's lose him in traffic.'
He began to weave in and out between cars. When traffic cleared, the cop car was gone.
You both cheered as your trip came to a stop.
He stopped in front of a runaway shelter and gave you his number.
"I love you, I'll visit whenever I can!" He shouted before he drove off.
Your heart was pounding in your chest.

Basically I'm pumping out Eddie fanfictions cause I'm on a road trip of my own. So sorry if this was rushed.

It was a late Saturday night, your parents were out of town so you decided to invite the dungeon master; Eddie Munson, to your house. You've known him since middle school and have been friends ever since.
Your plan was to binge horror films and help Ed brainstorm some ideas for the next campaign. You weren't in his club but on rare occuasion, he would come to you to try and rope you in.
The door bell echoed through the halls, you rushed to the door and opened it to see Eddie with his unruly hair and hellfire shirt.
"Conners, what's up?" He pulled you in for a hug.
"I've been waiting for hours!" You complained.
"Sorry, got held up with the others!"
You both entered the house and brought him down to the basement, "Whatcha wanna watch? Nightmare on elm Street, Halloween, The Shining-"
"Let's try Halloween." He sits back on the couch.
You put the tape in and began to played it loud and clear. The movie started up, and you already started making your unnecessary comments.
"What kind of dumbass- JEEZ!!" You cringed at the sex scene; these movies never really scared you, only THOSE scenes did..
"Are you okay? We can turn it off if it makes you uncomfortable." You felt comfort through his words.
You turned it off and just stared off into space. However you looked back up to see Ed staring at you.
"Dude, you're so handsome-" He blurted out of nowhere, you both bursted into laughter.
"I'm honored to hear that from the one and only Eddie Munson." You liked hearing his name over and over again, it gave you a warm feeling.
You both started to watch nightmare on elm Street but you were so focused on the guy across from you. So you decided to take your shot.
"What if we made out?" You awkwardly asked, realizing you probably screwed that up.
"Really?" He asked.
You scooted closer and he put his hands behind your head. You connected your lips and you slowly went deeper. You loved this goofy ass man with all of your heart.
You heard a door upstairs swing open and heard footsteps stomping around.
He broke the kiss and ran for the window, "See you at school," he winked, squeezing his way through it. You watched as he ran for his car.
You listened to your parents walk down the stairs, "We're back."
Your dad grumbled, "There weren't any girls over, right?"
"Just me, sir." You chuckled as he slammed the door to the basement. They would never know..

Hi. I am/was a mileven defender until I saw that scene in the van and Mike's copy pasted monologue that felt like it wasn't even meant for El but for Will.
As a straight person, I don't think I can relate to a queer person's frustration or anger over Season 4 even if I tried.
And I'm sorry but that's why it's hard for me to understand why you guys have given up on your ship when it's obvious that my people are the ones that should be getting prepared for a massive straight bait.
I hate to even think about it and it saddens me to the core but Mike is clearly projecting. He doesn't feel about El the way he feels about Will and it shows. I think El truly loves Mike tho so it's even more frustrating to me.
I wanted mileven to work so badly and I still do but given Mike's strange behavior and the way Will and Mike look at each other and the way they stand side by side between two other canon ships in the final scene and actually all their scenes together, it's hard to not to believe that your ship is the one they're going for.
I guess it's a good thing that they are planning on making the gay ship endgame. I know you guys need some decent representation and I'm sorry about the people that are mocking you for it on Twitter or in real life. All of that doesn't mean I suddenly started shipping them tho. I'm still clinging on to mileven. Probably forever.
I just wanted to acknowledge that I think it's weird that many of you have lost hope. But again, I can't really relate to the things queer people are experiencing and going through on a daily basis so I want to apologize if anything I just said was insensitive.

This was really interesting to read, thank you so much for sharing, genuinely! I hadn’t thought about it from this perspective before because i’ve mostly seen mike/el fans only celebrating after s4, and i’ve gotten several rude messages since vol. 2’s release over me being delusional and crazy for thinking byler would ever happen. It’s super interesting we are both doubting our ships and convinced the other will now be canon after s4… and I find it really fascinating that as a mileven shipper you thought Mike’s speech to El sounded like it was meant for Will…
I still have faith that byler could happen, and the ending shots really make me think it will, but i’m worried that they won’t be able to fix the damage they did to it in s4 fully, in s5, because I thought the writing in s4 was very different than what we have previously seen in the show, and so many characters didn’t get the development i thought they deserved. Regardless of whose ship ends up being endgame, I just hope that they fix it and actually resolve something in s5 so it ends on a healthy note for the couple. I believe everyone should ship whoever they want, so its totally fine by me if you don’t ship byler. Also, thank you <3 It definitley sucks to be mocked by so many people rn LOL.

It’s almost like El (deep down)doesn’t actually want romantic love from Mike but familial love from him . Because all the men in her formative years could never give her that. I mean I’m “delusional”. it’s not like there’s any parallels to mike and El’s (lab) family. Oh wait-
El to mike (s1) : “Will you be like my brother? Why not?”
Cough it’s almost like all the times m*leven was paralleled to hopper/El or kali/el, or “siblings” , luke/leia , and “cousins” throughout s1-3 was on purpose. (hopper/el and other family parallels vs m*leven in s1-3) here . And (kali/el and m*leven parallels) here.
Honestly , there’s so much to unpack in s4 as far as El’s characterization (without any ship stuff). When I get the time that will be a long long analysis.
Ok so this is like my third time posting about this man (because I'm obsessed) but I just wanna know if anyone thought of this before. Think of it as food for thought and/or a proposal. You know how in the show and wiki Eddie's known as Eddie “The freak” Munson or Eddie “The Banished” Munson? So instead of those, I’ve fallen into the habit of calling Eddie; Eddie “The hero” Munson and Eddie “The Great” Munson whenever I think of his full name, as my little way of reclaiming his name, holding up the Munson name if you will.
(Part of me also wishes that they actually managed to find a way prove Eddie's innocence to the town and as mentioned before, honor him by changing his name from Freak to Hero but alas what's done is done for now)
I saw some people sharing their dreams about Eddie, and I wanted to share mines too! This is a dream that happened around two nights ago and was pretty cute to me. Just a few heads up! I am not writer and if it seems like it's everywhere, it's because I wrote this half asleep so I tried to clean it up the best I could! Also when I dream, I tend to remember a lot of tiny details so it might get a bit lengthy! (and I wrote it in 1st Pov since that's literally the only way I'm able to explain it). Not sure if this is fanfic material but if there are any writers that see this, feel free to use it and change some stuff up! Only thing I ask is that you tag me if you do write it!
So the dream took place in our present time, call it what you will, Modern Au, Modern timeline, etc. Eddie in my dream pretty much still looked the same to how he dressed in the 80's, the only differences were that he had piercings and had slightly longer hair (in a way it was a bit more volumized?? think of his hair in the show but a better version of it). It was around two-three weeks before Christmas when we were at a mall with a group close friends shopping around and hanging out, I remembered that I finished up buying everyone's gifts and decided that I wanted to buy stuff for myself too. So I ended entering a MAC shop to either buy an eyeshadow palette or a collection of colorful eyeliner, it was either one of those two when this guy came up to me and started flirting (?) with me and offered to buy me my stuff, I went " really now?👀" and ended up accepting in the end because who doesn't like free stuff?
I came out and that's when more guys came out of nowhere and did the same thing that the guy at the MAC store did (Flirting + offering to buy me what I want, also it's not like they did it all at once, it was a one after the other kind of deal), I don't remember what I said but by the time the last guy was talking with me, that's when Eddie literally came out of nowhere rushing up to me, practically pushing this man out of the way saying "I just heard from the guys what happened and there's no way I'm gonna let you buy your own gifts " I don't remember how the rest of the exchange went but I remember towards the end we were walking towards a store and I said "your jealous aren't you?" He tried to laugh it off and deny it but then he caved in the end went " ...yea I'm jealous " I smiled and pinched his cheek a little and went "aw that's really sweet ! But are you sure you wanna buy the rest of my stuff? I don't want you to buy stuff your not able to buy just make me happy!"(I really called this man broke 😭) and he just smiled, kissed my cheek, patted my head a bit and said "but I want to princess plus you deserve the best" ( this is so cheesy but cute at the same time I can't 🤧).
A bit of a time jump, since I only had one thing left to buy, Eddie ended up buying it for me (it was this really cute festive green dress) and since we were told that we would leave the mall in a few, we ended up getting a quick bite at this churro place (we both ordered churros with vanilla icing and jinxed each other saying it), we were waiting around for our order, goofing off with each other when the ladies that worked there asked jokingly (and curiously) if we were a couple, I said we were and that he asked me out about 2-3 days ago and I couldn't tell if they were shocked or surprised but I remember it going quite and they just looked Eddie up and down, then me, then back at him, saying "hmm" while giving him a look. I ended up noticing that Eddie's demeanor faltered a bit but when we got our churros and I ended up saying "you guys are like the 3rd group of people to react like that, I get that we're somewhat of an unlikely pair but why are people so surprised that we're together? Can't be that shocking " I said casually while eating a churro, and I think I floored everyone (minus Eddie of course ) with that comment and while Eddie didn't say anything, he looked at me with this smile and twinkle in his eye and we just held hands and walked towards the exit. And that's where the dream ended. As soon as I woke up, I remember going "yoo that was crazy" then rushing to my notes to write it💀
(Also a few other random things worth noting in my dream that I didn't mention:
-Hunter Schafer was in my dream and when I went into Mac she was just there with a friend trying on eyeliner and we talked as if we were friends who knew each other for a while, love that for dream me.
-Eleven was also in my dream, she had her s4 hair and I ended up buying her a little extra something she wanted, given that she doesn't go to the mall often and is still figuring out what she likes, it was cute to see her reaction and her eyes light up, I love me some happy and wholesome Eleven 😩
-Maybe it's because I'm short but Eddie is so freaking tall, had to look up at him while talking with him, pure LEGS I tell you, not that I mind though, because I am very willing to climb 😏
-Also our color palettes were so cute, his colors are basically the same in the show and mines were pinks and whites.)
