So we know that the Diamonds have their own special set of powers. Blue with her wave of sadness, Yellow with the concentrated blast of electricity capable of poofing a gem. So Pearl said that Rose had the capability of controlling plant life. So is that Pink's power?
Also we saw all of thoose bubbled Rose Quartz. Did Pink have the same facet of them? How was it not noticeable when Pink was gone? Eyeball states that she saw Rose Quartz shatter Pink herself. Was there anyone else there? Was she the only witness? How did Pearl get away in time and did anybody noitice that Pink's pearl just disapeered? Do the other Pearls know? We see thier reactions when Blue Zircon asked where was her Pearl.
Anyway moving on. We know that Pearl can't speak of this. Is this a power of the Diamonds? Not a theory, just wondering.
That's all for now
Tell me the theories about "Steven Universe" that were invented before the start or middle of the second season and that ultimately didn't become true. Although these theories could be believed.
We’ve all seen the Worm Steven theory right? That that pink Worm in the intro is corrupt Steven?
WHAT IS ITS NOT STEVEN
Hear me out, its a worm, what are worms like? Snakes. Worms are like snakes.
Who have we heard take about snakes in show? Well Steven obviously, (They don’t have arms) But who else?
RONALDO
He had a theory about SNAKE PEOPLE FROM SPACE
SNEOPLE
WHAT IF BIG PINK BOI IS SNEOPLE?!?!?!
*****************SPOILERS*****************
Ok, finally, I have a theory! Do you remember how white diamond looked on SU (poster? List of villains? Never mind)
She is pink! But why? Some people think that Steven hurt her, and it’s possible.
But remember, in “Change your Mind” her face became pink, after Steven pointed out her childish behavior? I think he can (and maybe Pink diamond could), similar to Blue control other gem’s emotions. He could have used this ability in the episode “Reunited” when he by touching others could fill them with DETERMINATION (sorry, not sorry).
So, where was I.
Steven can control others emotions, but right now he’s an emotional wreck. He’s mad, desperate, disappointed and guilty. And maybe, when he comes to a homeworld, looking for a way to control his powers, he has one of his “outbursts” and it affects White. If Steven shattered Jasper, what would White do? Will she hurt Steven and corrupt him? Or will she hurt someone else, which will make Steven even more guilty and terrified?
With the revelation that lapis gems terraform, What if lapis was planting the cluster and that’s why she was on earth when she got ambushed and locked in the mirror. Once again it’s late and I put 0 research into this theory. Help SU fandom.
SPOILERS! SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
These are the gems from the episode “Lars and the cool kids”.Notice the gems in the middle. Notice how they do not appear to be uniform like a whole gem? Well this leads me to believe they’re shattered gems. More specifically Rose Quartz gems. And I have a theory of where they came from.
In the upcoming episode “That will be all” It is revealed that the diamonds bubbled the Rose Quartz gem type due to the shattering of Pink Diamond(PD) via a Rose Quartz. A solid preventative measure. Blue Diamond(BD) mentions that these Rose Quartz were PD’s gems. BD seems to want to preserve them in memory of PD, but Yellow Diamond(YD) seems to despise them and wants them all shattered. Now, take this info of YD wanting ALL Rose Quartz gems shattered and there’s your answer for the gem flowers. The gem flowers are the remains of the Rose Quartz gems that were shattered in the Diamond Authorities retaliation of our Rose shattering PD. Before BD intervened and decided to preserve and bubble the remaining Rose Quartz instead of shatter them. And of course our Rose would give her fallen comrades an honorable end by turning their shards into something beautiful. Also, side theory: the Rose Quartz gems could have been corrupted which could explain their aggressive behavior. Sorry if this theory has been done before or debunked. I’m half sleep yet my mind is still going lol XD
We're missing something important. So far we've seen with gem fusions that even if they're unstable and have extra limbs the number of limbs still measures evenly out to each gem involved.Ex:Garnet has three eyes because Ruby has two eyes and Sapphire has 1 eye, Rainbow Quartz had 4 eyes -a set for each gem involved,Heck! even Sugilite only had 5 eyes and 4 arms. BUT what about malachite? She's "all torso" as someone said in another post,as in she has no legs but instead she has 6 arms! three sets of arms for three gems correct? This must mean either Jasper, or Lapis is a fusion for their to be an extra set of arms involved with malachite. However, from 'The Mirror Gem' we know Lapis is only one gem so could it be that Jasper was a fusion from the start?Either that or it's just crewniverse being random with character design and the extra set of arms means nothing.Just my thoughts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ What do you think of this theory?
Did the interaction trigger when Pinks ship landed? That would a explain so much.
White not letting Steven finish his sentences.
White Pearl literally acting like an unfinished AI from Baldis Basics
White Diamond sayin how everyone seems so “excited” for her arrival even though she looks like she literally hasn’t moved an inch in eons to even see that or have enough time to even process her arrival (Blue Diamond said she hadn’t left Homeworld for that long....can she even? Why is she in a statue like pose?)
The crowd stopped cheering suddenly when White Pearl showed up...very suspicious...planned?
White ONLY wanted Pink Diamond and clearly acted like she knew her intentions all along. Did Pink turn to White after not getting through Blue and Yellow? What happened during that time? The Diamonds said White is hard to cool down and she’d be pissed if she found out, yet that was not the reaction. She seemed very passive-aggressive, yes, but that’s because she acted like she wasn’t even apart of a REAL conversation.
They also said that’s she’s “hard to get to”. It may just be her character obviously but what if that because she isn’t even real?? Like Roses room.
White Diamond literally acts like every “person” shaped from Roses room. And so does her Pearl. (THE FLOATING AND THE PHASING AND THE PLANNED DIALOGUE)
Then she “teleported” Pink back into what looks to be her old “palace” or something. What’s up with the sudden “ok that was a funny game now let’s get back to work ahaha” attitude?
(This may be a LONG reach, but what if Pinks ship didn’t even go to homeworld when it was set to return? Everything was extremely uncanny.)
Was anything even real?
Okay, call me ignorant if you want but I have a theory here. When I was looking at the butterflies from when Here Comes a Thought was going down and whatnot I started thinking. Everyone remember a little thing called the Butterfly Effect? Where something as small as a butterfly has the power to cause a major event? What if this is what that is? All the butterflies through the song symbolize some small problem which is slowly wearing everyone down and they’re using butterflies to symbolize how something small can create a huge issue? Just a thought
I just saw the latest Steven Universe special (so many awesome moments) but by far the best one was finally getting to see Pink Diamond!
I’m sure everyone caught on to how much of a brat the little diamond was (though given her privileged status as diamond, it’s not that surprising). I’d venture to say that she was pretty young (by gem standards) and thus fairly immature.
Which is probably one of the reasons her death was such an incredible tragedy and blow to the other diamonds.
She was young.
Probably still a child in their eyes. And it would seem that even for gems, the idea of a child being killed, and in this case, brutally murdered (as far as we know), is an incredibly horrific act. It’s no wonder why Blue and Yellow are still deeply affected by Pink’s death; she was just a kid. She hadn’t even begun to live out her destiny.
Given Yellow’s exchange with Pink in this episode and previous reactions to mentions of the incident, I’d like to think that Yellow blames herself (in part) for Pink’s demise. Pink was too young, inexperienced, and not mature enough to handle a colony. She was given too much power too soon; she wasn’t ready for such an incredible responsibility and probably wasn’t able to run the colonization as efficiently as her fellow diamonds could have. No doubt if Yellow had been in charge of invading Earth, none of the things in the series would have happened.
But they did.
Pink was killed, the colony failed, and it’s been haunting the diamonds ever since. All because they indulged a spoiled child and failed to protect her when it mattered most.
I’ve been re-watching Steven Universe (from start to finish) the past couple of days, and all the new little nuances of the foreshadowing, references, and Gem culture are starting to stand out more the second time around. And it’s really sparked some ideas and theories that I hadn’t considered before the most recent seasons came out.
One of the more significant ones is the “My Diamond” phrase, or rather, Rose’s “My Pearl” line that she says in episode 45: Rose’s Scabbard.
Before the introduction of the Diamonds, that line didn’t really have any deeper meaning than the usual term of endearment. But with the Homeworld Gems referring to the significant leaders as ‘Their Diamonds’ (and when they don’t: such as Jasper referring to Yellow Diamond by her name, which we find out why later - because her TRUE Diamond is Pink Diamond), the phrasing Rose uses in that instance could have a far deeper meaning.
To call Pearl “My Pearl”, could not only be a term of endearment, but also that of high respect and loyalty. For Rose to say that to Pearl, who basically was made to be a pretty walking/talking purse, I think it was incredible and overwhelming. It’s no wonder that Pearl was so dedicated to Rose.
I think this is further proved in the episode ‘Sworn to the Sword’. When Connie asks Pearl “Did Rose make you feel like you were nothing?” and when Pearl answers: “Rose made me feel like I was everything.”
That statement makes so much more sense to me if my theory about the “My (Gem)” phrase is correct. When a Gem says “My Diamond”, I think it’s like they are reaffirming their devotion to the Diamond. They are saying “I am loyal to you. I live to serve you. You are the source of my existence.” (or something like that).
So when Rose goes and falls in love with Greg, I can see how terribly hurt Pearl would be by it. The Gem she thought was loyal to her - valued her more than anyone, decides to suddenly chose someone else, after all Pearl has done for Rose, and after thinking that she had Rose’s highest esteem…
It must have been truly devastating.
Now I wonder if Sapphire and Ruby go around saying that to each other ;)
