7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

for kaito....... well i've only ever seen this once, but a fic writer i like sometimes writes kaito with a chronic illness, like a version of the one he had in game but in a modern au, and i think that's so cool

AND I LOVE KOKICHI KING HORSE JOKES. i will never ever get sick of them – in fact, they are sickeningly rare!!! (unless i've been hanging around the wrong sides of the fandom....?)

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

ahhh....hmmmm. putting on my thinking cap for this one. for kaitoooo... i guess when people lean too heavily into his aggressive traits, cuz he's not THAT bad, guys.

my kokichi one is pretty similar. nothing you can do can really annoy me all that much unless you write him off as irredeemable

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

for kokichi, probably saiouma. mostly because it was the first dr ship i ever really got into, and now im just attached to them XD something about a guy like kokichi dragging an exhasperated shuichi around the place... and their wierd cat and mouse game – shuichi originally seeking kokichi out just cuz he HAS to know what the fuck is up with him and, eventually, getting endeared to him...... ? idk. they're cute. they're funny

and for kaito,,,, hmmmmm, maybe the training trio. they can each take turns smooching eachother

transmasc kaito is real but what's realer is overly supportive, not-quite-there-but-he's-got-the-spirit-ally kaito

i was tempted to put “other people do Not understand them” but mischaracterization happens with every character. and it's not, like, TOO bad with kaito

i would love to be his sidekick or something....

tbh people often portray shuichi as either too gentle or too blunt. no one can seem to get that sweet spot. also he's such a judger (/aff), which no one seems to remember

shuichi is definitely trans. the question is, are they transfem or transmasc??

he's the protagonist. he's MADE to be put into situations

i think a jar with sticks and leaves is shuichi's natural habitat

half the fandom gets kokichi and the other half...really doesn't. but then again, there are soooo many interpretations of kokichi, it really just comes down to how much you think he lied about. i quite like how ambiguous kokichi is as a character :3 it means theres lots of possibilities

i said “give them more torment” for all of them but with kokichi i really mean it !!!

same thing with “i have to get them out of the source material”. i really want to know what a not-fearing-for-his-life kokichi would act like....would he be any nicer ??

i did half for “transing their gender”, not becuase i'm insinuating he's half transgender, but because i enjoy trans interpretations and cis ones equally XD

i did half for “i would hate them irl” because i don't hate anyone, i just.... tend to assume the best, but if he was as much of a bully as he was in game, well, i would get irritated, eventually

+ they're all doomed, they're source material is a killing game
