With a sigh, you turned over for what felt like the hundredth time since you’d laid down a few hours prior. As an insomniac, the experience wasn’t exactly uncommon - just incredibly unwelcome. You turned your head, checking the clock which read 3:26 in big bright red letters. Huffing out another exasperated breath, you turned again, this time facing the other figure in the bed, who, unlike yourself, had fallen asleep hours ago.

For as long as you’d been staying over at his trailer, Eddie had never had any trouble falling asleep quickly. He knew about your sleeping problems, sure, and he always vowed to stay up and try to help you fall asleep to no avail. But sometimes, like tonight, you’d see him stir in his sleep from one too many movements on your behalf. He opened his eyes slowly, blinking a couple times before noticing your soft e/c eyes watching him.

“Can’t sleep?” He murmured softly, sleep still lacing his voice as he tried desperately to wake himself up a bit more for your sake. You nodded, knowing you didn’t have to explain yourself. He just understood. Without a word, he lifted his arm towards you, gesturing for you to come closer. You flipped yourself around and shifted closer, your back pressed against his chest, letting him be the big spoon tonight. He let his arm drop once you were situated, resting it across your waist and letting his other arm snake around your chest, pulling you closely against him. You felt him bury his face in your hair, his light breaths tickling the back of your neck and making you giggle, which in turn, made a lazy smile grace his lips.

You were so grateful for Eddie. You both knew the only way you could get to sleep at this point was if you were in his arms, and him being the fidgety person he was, he never stayed in one position very long whilst sleeping. However, for you, he was willing to lay in the same way for hours just to let you get a little bit of sleep.

You heard him yawn from behind you, and you knew he was barely keeping his eyes open, but he was trying for you. As your eyes finally began to droop, you felt him place a gentle kiss to the back of your neck, followed by a barely audible “I love you.” “Mmm, love you too,” you whispered back, nestling your body back into his and finally allowing yourself to drift off into a peaceful slumber with the love of your life beside you.

Billy Hargrove:

“I don’t like him.”

Billy’s eyes fluttered open, and they glided lazily onto your form in the desk in front of him. With his hands folded behind his head and his legs crossed, feet perched on his own desktop, Billy knew the teacher had long ago given up on scolding him for his lackadaisical behavior in class, and even longer ago had he realized Billy would never put much effort in anyway.

One such happenstance that seemed to disturb the entire class, though, was how Billy had wound up there in the first place. Honors English didn’t exactly seem tailored to his, er, capabilities, to put it lightly.

However, before Billy and his family had moved to Hawkins, Indiana, he’d been quite the student (according to the principal…after you’d complained), and lost in translation was some other lame excuse that English classes in California were inherently more advanced than those of Indiana anyway.

You called bullshit. You had sworn Billy had bribed the teacher to let him remain in the class just to disrupt your existence.

It wasn’t exactly his crowd, so to speak, judging by the glasses, focused faces, and pencils scribbling around the room. Nobody in the room looked like they’d even smelled a cigarette before—well, not until Billy arrived.

But you? God, you fit in like a glove. Here was where you divided yourself from the rest of the school, from its bullies and booze and tobacco—from its corruption. You were innocent when it came to such “paraphernalia,” as you called it. You were untouched, and more importantly, you were unclaimed.

Billy was enthralled with this virtuous disposition of yours. In the beginning, his feelings for you,“little Miss Priss” as he’d grown to calling you, appalled him. Of all the girls in the school he could choose from, all the hot blondes that fawned over him in the halls and the enticing brunettes that asked him out after catching his eye for a moment, never did he think for a fucking second that it would be you.

The prude.

“Don’t like who?” Billy interjected harshly, dismissing how you and your friend flinched at his sudden interest.

“No one!” you both mumbled, avoiding his gaze and spinning around in your seats.

Billy’s brow rose at that, and the instant the bell rang, he kicked his feet off his desk and reached a hand toward you. You scooted forward in your seat the second his fingers brushed you, and Billy paused, a small ache in his chest disguising itself as irritation.

Clenching his jaw, Billy curled his fingers around the back of your desk chair and dragged you back to him, the rubber stoppers on the ends of your chair legs squealing in protest against the polished floors. The teacher glanced up from his podium at the front of the class at the sound, an unimpressed look on his face, but was otherwise unconcerned about the situation unfolding. After all, it happened almost every morning.

The teacher sighed and resumed calling roll. Billy kept one fist clasped around the back of your chair and one long leg outstretched beneath your seat, his boot situated around the nearest footing to stop you from scooting away. He leaned forward, hot breath rustling your hair as you sat stock-still, hands folded in your lap.

“YN-”

You flinched.

“-who were you talking about?” Though it was a question, he more demanded the answer than asked for it, because Billy would be damned if he had to listen to you and your friend giggle and jabber about your feelings for any guy that wasn’t him.

Just the thought of another boy in the class catching your eye in general made him feel angry.

No, maybe not angry. Sick was more like it. You weren’t his, and he knew that—fuck, he knew that all too well. He wouldn’t let it be that way for long, though.

For months he’d tried to take his mind off you and place it, force it, on someone else. But when girls at parties and in his car, in hotel rooms or in their own goddamn bedrooms couldn’t eliminate the picture of you hot-glued to the forefront of his mind—couldn’t erase your secret smile when Billy had Sharpied a dick on Mr. Morrison’s board, or your glare when he’d tugged your seat over to his for the first time, or that feeling of your hand overtop his when he’d tugged on your hair to distract you, to bring your attention back onto him—Billy knew he had to give up on getting over you.

He’d finally accepted that his only course of action was to keep your eyes on him just as his were locked on you. It was only fair.

“Nobody,” you huffed under your breath. “Why do you even care?”

The tension on Billy’s face softened, relaxed as he looked over your form appreciatively, licking his lower lip. ‘Heres’ and ‘Presents’ resounded about the pair of you as Billy released his grip on your seat’s backing, settling the same arm on his desk and reaching up a hand to twirl a strand of your hair around his finger. “Oh, no reason, babe, just making sure I’m still in your good graces is all.”

You scoffed and twisted in your seat, yanking his hand from your hair with a grip on his wrist. “Were you ever?”

Billy held your gaze while simultaneously imploring to whatever asshole wandered around in the sky that you would never release your hold on him, and he allowed his lips to curl up into a real smile. So long he went without ever letting that happen, and then you showed up and now he never wanted to stop.

Just as Billy reached up to brush a strand of hair from your forehead, the teacher reared his ugly, bald, fucking bastard head.

“YN, Billy,” Mr. Morrison called aloud, his tone on the latter’s name far more irritated, and, of course, you sat at attention, turning away from Billy and tearing your hand away from his wrist. “Pay attention, please.”

“Sorry, sir.”

And just like that, you slipped from his grasp. You ignored Billy’s every poking and prodding of his pencil in your back for the rest of class and focused rather on whatever the hell Morrison was on about, curled over your notebook with your head ducked low.

It was only when Billy sighed and sat back in his seat with crossed arms, chest tight, that he realized your friend was watching from the corner of her eye with a small grin.

Until Billy flipped her the bird, then she scoffed and looked away too.

By the end of class, Billy’s head was dropped back, mouth open and releasing soft snores. The bell ringing didn’t wake him; what did was your courteous kick to his foot in order for him to release your chair, which he did, so you could push your seat in. Then you smacked his forehead with your notebook for good measure. “Wake up, asshole, class is over.”

He grunted, swatting away the offender. “You’re so kind to me, babe,” he grumbled bitterly. “What would I do without you?”

“Considering you spend every waking minute in this class annoying me, I truly, honestly don’t know.”

Billy smirked at that, gaze latched onto your form as you walked away side-by-side with your friend, whom you seemed to be shaking your head at. Sluggishly and with a yawn, he rose to his feet, lugging his bag over his shoulder and following your path out of the classroom.

He lingered behind a few steps, stopping only to lean against a water fountain and pull a pack of Marlboros from his back jean pocket. He swiped the cigarette across his bottom lip before slotting it in the corner of his mouth and reaching for his lighter.

“That’s not what this is,” you groaned, fiddling with the combination of your locker.

Your friend hummed sarcastically, a mocking “Totally” on her lips from Billy’s distance away. He could barely hear the two of you, especially through the thick crowd of students flooding the halls, rushing to their cars and buses to get the hell out of school.

Of course, you were lagging behind to study in the library, and, of course, Billy would be there to bother you for the next half hour before “suddenly remembering” he had a date.

Fuck, he hated it. He hated himself, and how easily you wound him around your little finger. He used to wish you were cruel; some cold-blooded bitch to him so it would be so much easier to dismiss his feelings and walk away. Instead, you were kind. The only fucking person who could battle back against his attitude and yet still care about his wellbeing. How many times had you tugged a cigarette from his mouth with a small, disapproving grumble, or silently placed a water bottle on his desk when he’d enter the classroom reeling from the effects of the night before?

He'd never met anyone that was too good for him. Not since…

Fuck. He hated this.

How? How did you have that power over him? When did you ever have time to wrench your hand into his chest, break past his ribcage and grab a fistfull of his heart just to steal it out and shake it in front of him like some cruel game of fetch?

“Goddamnit,” he huffed, eyes narrowed at his lighter that sparked fruitlessly. One last click, though, and a flame bloomed in his hand.

“I swear it’s not! The guy’s an asshole. You know my grade is actually dropping in that class?” You slammed your locker closed, armfuls of textbooks hugged to your chest. “It’s because of him. Pretty soon, I’ll have an A-minus. Do you know how long it’s been since I've had an A-minus in a class?”

“Not as long as you haven’t had a D.”

You blanched, whole body flinching like you took a punch to the gut. “I-... you-... that was totally uncalled for.” Your friend snickered.

Billy, meanwhile, had grown infinitely more interested in the conversation, so much so that he had almost coughed out the smoke in his lungs. His eyebrows raised as he watched a flush rise to your cheeks.

“You’re disgusting, you know that?” You pointed at her disapprovingly, but she only laughed more boisterously.

“Oh, come on! Am I wrong?”

“Who cares about my…” you gestured at yourself wordlessly, floundering, “e-experience level? You really think that asshole is gonna solve that?”

“Easily.”

You threw your arms in the air hopelessly at your friend’s deadpan, rolling your eyes. “No! Not happening! The only possible outcome is a newfound exposure to STDs.”

“Worth it.” Her hands snapped up in surrender at your glare. “Kidding. Just kidding.”

Slowly but steadily, the halls were clearing. Billy didn’t bother trying to disguise his watchful gaze as he inhaled another cloud of smoke, pulling the cigarette from his lips to tap the ashes out in the water fountain behind him. He let out the fumes in one long stream as he leaned a hip against the metal edge of the fountain, settling his other hand into a front pocket on his blue jeans.

Billy waited, as he always did, like a predator ready to swoop in on his prey the second it was alone. Two blue eyes stay cemented on your form like a promise, a pledge of devotion. It was the yearning from afar that pained him the most, certainly because what excuse could he ever fabricate to explain himself? You hadn’t called his name—-your gaze hadn’t even accidently washed over him. You’d done nothing to gain his attention. You had done nothing but be, and for that, Billy was undeniably, absolutely addicted.

He needed you.

Billy massaged two fingers at his temple, taking another drag with half-lidded eyes.

“You better be.” You sighed, slamming your locker closed and clenching the straps of your backpack in your hands. “The day I actually throw myself into the arms of that aggravating jerk is the day I toss all of my self-respect in the trash.”

It’s me. It has to be.

She’s talking about-

“He’s not that bad if you think about it. Even you yourself said-”

“I know what I said,” you floundered, shoving a finger against her lips. “But—you know what—if we both ignore that I ever said it, then maybe, just maybe, my feelings will fade away, and we can both look back at my confession one day and laugh.” You pull your hand away from her, posing your hands on your hips righteously. “Laugh while knowing that my feelings for him were ridiculous and dumb and stupid and childish, and that I was just acting like a regular teenager with a little, stupid crush on some dumb boy-”

“You’re in love with Billy, aren’t you?” your friend deadpanned.

Your face fell, and you pouted. “Yeah, fine, you’re right, I’ve got it bad.”

-Me.

The cigarette fell from his lips, landing on the floor soundlessly. Billy stood at attention, his hand falling out of his pocket as the other dropped from his head. Love. YN is-

She’s in love with me.

All color in his cheeks disappeared, just as all the air in his chest. He couldn’t breathe, but in a good way, like the burn of surfacing from underwater for too long—like he was seconds away from the first gasp of fresh, sweet oxygen, after suffocating for so long.

He wanted this—fuck, he needed this. Who gave a damn if he deserved it or not, he was going to have you. You and the warmth of your hands; your smile and your laugh, all of your blushes and your tears.

All of it. Every single last ounce, he wanted it all.

He could fucking have it, too.

She’s in love with me.

Your friend grinned all too smugly. “You’re finally admitting it out loud, huh? Look at you, growing up right before my eyes. How does it feel?”

“How does what feel?” you grumbled, still curled in on yourself, cheeks dusted pink.

“Your first real love confession to a boy.” She dropped both of her hands on your shoulders as your brows furrowed.

“Does it really count if he’s not even here?”

“Nope,” she beamed, spinning you around in her grip. “Good thing he is!”

For a moment longer, you were still visibly confused at her words. The halls had long cleared, and the only sights and noises that now filled them were your wide eyes and quick gasp.

“Billy.” His name slipped from your lips like an accident, tumbling out without a second thought and landing in the allconsuming silence of the hallway with a dull thud.

He couldn't help it. God, he couldn’t fucking help it.

The trembling that took hold of him, the shiver that began in the tips of his fingers and transferred up the length of his spine—he hated it because he had to hate it, but deep down he loved it more than anything else.

Because you were just so fucking perfect.

Your eyes were glassy, like any second you were going to burst into tears. There was a small quiver of your lower lip, and, like a tidal wave, the overwhelming urge to feel that same quiver against his own lips, his skin, crashed into him.

He really, really couldn’t help it. It was second nature.

A corner of his mouth lifted, and his eyes glinted with condescension. “Is that right?” he hummed, amused. “Are you in love with me, YN?”

The pounding in his chest, the pregnant pause as he waited, the subtle, dizzying fog that began to flood his mind, all of it he ignored. He had to hear it. Say it again.

But he couldn’t help it, and the more your glistening eyes studied his face, tears threatening to overflow at the waterline, the more he could feel that sweet burn in his lungs turn painful once more.

And it hurt so much worse when you twisted out of your friend’s hold and bolted.

Your tennis shoes squeaked in protest against the vinyl composition tile, down the hallway and clear through the glass doors of Hawkins High, never turning back no matter how many times your friend called your name.

When the doors slammed shut, a gust of wind followed and ruffled the stray curl against Billy’s forehead. The smirk had long fallen from his face.

Your friend bit the inside of her cheek beside him, obviously searching for words of any kind to explain your reaction. “She’s just-… well, you kind of…” She huffed, adjusting her backpack straps against her shoulders. “Look, she’ll be back on Monday. She wouldn’t skip school, even out of embarrassment like that.” She threw him a sidelong glance. “Though, maybe next time you don’t respond like that, right?”

Billy’s face hardened, and he pulled the pack of cigarettes from his back pocket. He slotted a smoke in the corner of his lips. “Who gives a shit?”

Your friend pursed her lips, observing as he struggled once more with his lighter. He gripped it with white knuckles, and the butt of his cigarette was crushed between his teeth. “Right,” she nodded with a sigh. “See you Monday.” Her footsteps trailed down the hall and away.

When the doors shut after her too, Billy spat out the smoke, hurling his lighter down the hallway with bared teeth. “FUCK!”

Monday. Fucking Monday?

Billy wrenched two hands in his hair, his nostrils flaring as he gnawed on his lips. It hurt, it all fucking hurt. Everything.

She left, she fucking left. She ran away from you, and you know why too—it’s because you’re so weak. Why the hell would she ever want to be with someone like you? How could she ever be in love with-

Billy paused, his hands falling from his scalp, his shoulders rolling back. His head raised, slowly.

Fine, you could have until Monday. But on that day, he was getting some fucking answers.

The weekend didn’t pass by quick enough, despite Billy not remembering most of it. He recalled the party he attended that Friday night, the keg and the shots and what must have been some girl trying her best to come onto him. He remembered shoving her off one minute with a snarl and thundering towards his car, and then the next he was waking up in his own bed. He remembered working out and drinking Saturday and Sunday away, and he remembered waking up Monday with a healing bruise on his cheek, his father none too impressed that he’d drunk all the beer in the house in the span of two days.

But who fucking cared, right?

Who gave a shit when his Camaro came squealing into the school parking lot, stopped parallel between three spots? Who gave a shit when he ambled Hawkins High halfway through the school day, his shirt unbuttoned down his chest, his cologne wafting after him everywhere he went?

And who gave a shit when he arrived in Mr. Morrison’s class, early for the first time in the six months he’d been in it, and planted himself in his seat, his legs kicked up on his desk, his arms folded up behind his head, blue eyes carefully watching the doorway.

Because, yeah, you’d ran away from him. But you’ve been doing that for so long now, dancing out of his reach each time he wanted you, twisting out of his grip each time he almost had you. This was the first time you’d ever escaped him knowingly.

Finally, he knew you loved him, and once more you got away.

Of course, your little game of cat and mouse had to end like this—it had to end with him catching you.

And catch you he did.

God, you were so fucking beautiful, it actually made him ache. Your friend was shoving you in through the classroom door, two hands braced against your back despite you trying to wriggle away like a loose fish.

Your face was red, completely, utterly red, like you’d just come back from running a marathon. Your eyes were darting around frantically, from the desks to the ceiling, and he knew you were actually considering your chances of escaping through an air vent.

She’s in love with me.

He didn’t care. Suddenly, at the sight of you, he just didn’t fucking care anymore. He didn’t care that you ran, about the turmoil you’d caused him, about the misery that had been his weekend away from you.

He couldn’t care for anything less because the second your eyes landed on him in that classroom and you let out the softest little squeal, all he knew was you, you, you.

So fucking cute.

Billy kicked his feet off his desk, reaching forward and pulling out your chair before patting the seat backing suggestively. Like clockwork, his smirk reformed on his face, a small glimmer of patronizing amusement in his eyes.

“Come on, babe,” he simpered at you. “Don’t be shy. Take a seat.”

Come back to me. I need you.

Your eyes widened, and you squirmed in her grip once more. “Nope, I can’t do this.”

“Hush up and go.” One big shove from your friend and you were stumbling forward, scrambling to regain your balance.

Billy silently urged you closer, gesturing down at your seat with his hands the closer you shuffled toward him. As he did, he drank in the sight of you, flushed and skittish, stumbling toward him like a baby deer on new, unsteady legs. He noticed the darkened skin under your eyes, most likely matching his own, though he doubted you and him were sleepless for the same reasons.

When you ground to a halt in front of him, you gulped, your attention everywhere but on his face.

“Hey, YN,” he practically purred, hands itching to reach out to you.

“Hello, Billy,” you squeaked, dropping into your seat and gripping the bottom in an effort to slide the chair forward. Very quickly, though, you discovered Billy’s boot was already perched around the chair’s footing, and one hand had an iron grip on its back.

“Going somewhere?”

“I guess not.”

Billy hummed. “I think you have something to say to me.”

“Umm nope, don’t think so.”

“Oh, come on, no need to be shy. I just wanna hear you say it,” he prompted, as his other hand glided up, curling a strand of your hair around his finger. “Tell me how you feel about me, YN.”

“I think you’re a jerk,” you whispered, turning back slightly to fix him with a flimsy glare.

“Besides that. Tell me what you told me Friday, before you ran.” He tugged at the strand of hair, his brows raised expectantly.

“I didn’t mean it-”

“Don’t-” Billy gritted his teeth, his hand leaving your hair to grip your chin, turning you to face him. “Don’t say that.” He watched as your eyes grew damp again, all soft and delicate and one small admonition away from bursting into tears.

You were so fragile, so small in his eyes. It often made him wonder why he ever thought he should be the one you should be with. How could he ever hold you in his arms without tarnishing you?

So badly, he thought he wanted to have you just to dirty you, take away that purity that seemed to hover over your head, but there were some days where he knew that all he wanted from you was to make him believe he could hold on to something so clean.

He wanted it. So, so bad, he wanted whatever you would offer him. He wanted to hear those words straight from your lips.

Your cheeks were so hot, he itched to cradle them in his palms and absorb some of that warmth. He wanted to wipe away all of the tentativeness with the pads of his fingers and leave behind the breathlessness, the pure affection that was its source.

“You just want to laugh at me,” you whispered, your voice almost breaking. “You’re just going to tease me about it like you do with everything else.” You swept a hand underneath your eyes. “You’re so cruel, Billy.”

“Stop-” he hissed and shook his head, gritting his teeth. “You don’t get to say that. Not after all I’ve ever wanted is for you to love me back, you don’t get to fucking say that.” Billy seized your wrist, tugging you closer. “I know what I am. I know what I do.”

His pride was wilting away the more he spoke to you, the longer you didn’t pull away from him, and his mind pounded in indignation. At what point did you turn him into a complete lovesick fool, and was it before or after you first smiled at him?

If your wide-eyed look was any indication of your shock at his feelings, he wondered just how baffled you would be once you discovered his willingness to bend over backwards at your every plea. You would never take advantage of him, and he knew that, but the tendrils of doubt still crawled up his spine at the thought of leaving himself so vulnerable for you.

“But you, YN?” He traced his eyes over your face, huffing softly. “In all my life, I’ve never wanted something more.”

You stared at him, open mouthed. Your gaze was so surprised, so innocent that it actually frustrated him. How could you have not seen? How could you be so blind?

“So don’t you fucking say that it’s cruel of me, or selfish, or some other bullshit.”

You gasped when he tugged you closer by the wrist, his other hand encompassing your cheek.

“Just say it again.”

His eyes darted over your face, desperate.

“Please.”

Your eyebrows twitched up at that, and your gaze grew tender, raking over his face slowly as if committing to memory. You paused at his lips, watching as they parted and pursed against one another.

You’d worn him down. You’d exhausted him, mentally and physically. Of all the months he’d waited for your confession like this, he never thought the last few moments would be the most excruciating of them all. What more did you want from him? Already, he could feel the swell of anger at his throat ready to be unleashed, to lash out at you until you were in steady tears again just so he knew exactly what you were feeling once more. Billy wanted—no, needed—some part of you to be under his thumb, just so he could pretend, if even for a second, that your emotions for him were still in his range of sway.

Instead, his heart stuttered when the hand in his grip wormed away and pulled off the other that was at your cheek. You splayed his hand out on the surface of his desk, then you intertwined your fingers with his and squeezed. Your teeth worried at your bottom lip as you ducked your head.

“I’m in love with you, Billy.”

His eyelids fluttered shut, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally. Fucking Finally.

You were his, completely.

He couldn’t help it. He really couldn’t.

His hand found your chin, and he tipped your head up, gaining your attention.

“I fucking knew it,” he simpered, entirely too smug. And when you tried to scramble away, panicked and scared, his hand found the back of your neck and tugged you close, his lips landing on yours.

In his hold, you grew lax, only your hand tensing around his. Your lips didn’t move against his, seemingly too tentative and inexperienced to truly indulge yourself.

Billy grinned into the kiss, far more pleased than anyone should be at the knowledge that he could leave marks on you in so many more ways than one. When he pulled away, he quickly cupped your face with a hand, thumbing at your lips in search of the remainder of his own warmth.

“Library, after school?” he muttered, his mouth still curved.

“Only if you don’t have a date afterwards,” you grumbled. You could sass him all you wanted, and Billy couldn’t care less. He could hear your breathlessness and feel the heat in your cheeks, and pride flared in him knowingly.

“Well, I might-”

“Are you guys done yet? ’Cause that was kinda gross.” Your friend dropped into the seat beside you, her nose wrinkled. You straightened up, unraveling yourself from Billy’s hold and nodding your head.

“Yep, yeah, definitely all done. Totally.”

And just like that, you were gone. Billy bristled at your instantaneous lack of touch and threw a snarl at your friend, who only shrugged.

Then she held out a hand, brows raised expectantly.

“You owe me.”

Billy rolled his eyes, fishing his wallet out of the pocket of his jeans and rifling through it, passing her a ten dollar bill.

“Keep the change.”

“With pleasure.”

life update

so this month has been shit. my grandpas anniversary came up on the 8th. and the problems i mentioned before with my mom, oh and today. i cried again since Eddie (my ex). Saul broke up with me, i had two panic attacks, one in the middle of my arabic class, and another during english. yesterday i told him how i havent been feeling well and he told me to figure what i want out and text him but till then hes tired and going to sleep (we were doing long distance because he lives in argentina and i live waaaaay far away.) today during my arabic class i texted him and he told me hes breaking up with me, said that he loves me and cares for me but yet he thinks its whats good for us both. he proceeded to continue to tell me he loves me while i begged him not to and i ended up telling him that i will not forgive him for what hes doing and that i hate him for how hes hurting me, i logged out of the account and then in the afternoon during english, i checked and he ended up saying that he couldve up and left me but he didnt because he cares about me and loves me which is why he talked to me about it. and he replied to my other texts saying "sorry bye" and he removed me on snap as well as tiktok because those are the only things he had me on. (i checked snap on my laptop rn and his accounts gone, idk if its the same on my phone). i went to the bathroom while im shaking and like trying to breathe, and i called my best friends but only one picked up because she had a study period. after me and her talked for a bit anout what happened, i suddenly couldnt breathe, just completely couldnt for i dunno how long and then i just started sobbing. then when i was able to calm down, i got to class again and afterwards had a smoke session with the best friend i was talking to's sister. i met up with my best friend who didnt pick up and we walked back to our building, cuz we had class in a diff building. we found some of our close friends in this little garden area we have n sat there because after the smoke session i was gripping the railing in the staircases, as well as my best friends arm because i felt like throwing up and passing out. and at that moment i just started sobbing again and shaking, after a while of my friends attempting to calm me down, my business teacher saw me and i told her i was fine she said obviously im not if im this distraught but if i need her i know where her office is. i had a talk with my old chem teacher because i trust him and cuz my music teacher (was mentioned before) had a lesson. everyone tried to get me to cheer up, one friend just held me (which i needed i love being held), one jumped up and kicked his feet while impersonating mickey mouse, the friend who answered my call sang arabic lulibies for me and then niki manaj, my friend who was at the garden area started singing cupcake songs, my friend who didnt pick up my call just stuck with me the entire day and made sure i drank enough water even tho i didnt eat at all even tho she tried, my other friend checked up on me every five minutes and during our lessons together, a bunch of my other friends tried to cheer me up. but nothing worked and i dont think i can just explain how exhausted and tired and drained i am rn.

currently me and my ex (lets call him Eddie cuz i dunno what else to name him) that i mentioned are friends. but ive recently started dating this great guy (lets call him Saul (he's a big rock fan and adores Slash like me so) yk) anyway, Eddie disappeared for a good week claiming he was busy studying for his IELTs and sleeping during our half term break from school, on a thursday i told him about this guy ive been talking to (Saul). and he asks how old he is and i tell him oh 17-18 and he freaks out saying thats a large age gap (literally not cuz im the same age) so he ends up dipping again once i change the convo and when we get back to school on monday he replies and hes being sort of weird and his texts seem aggressive and i told my friends and my music teacher (my music teachers like my school dad) and they all thought he was jealous because of it and i just felt so angry because i know for a fact i didnt give Eddie my everything, my feelings, myself, my soul, just for the second i even decide to move on and like someone else, he gets jealous, so i decided to wait for him to talk to me, he never did, not even in school he completely avoided me and pretended to not hear me and his excuse was hes been diagnosed with diabeties on top of his already diagnosed but not medicate for, BPD. and then my mom caught me sending my boyfriend, Saul, like semi nudes (like yk swimsuit type pics). and she found out about me and Eddie because she didnt know and so i had my friends log into my instagram account to monitor it for me cuz my mom had access to my phone and all my accounts and my laptop. she ended up ripping all my posters off my door, taking my guitars, pictures that were hung in my room and my record player. shes also before found out about my scars and smashed all my vinyls. so me and her are good now, we're mending our relationship but the only way ive been talking to Eddie is through email and ive been talking to Saul through a secret snap account because she blocked him everywhere and will open my phone sometimes to go through it. basically ive been stripped of everything, saul understood full heartedly when i told him i wont be sending anymore pictures. and it just made me breakdown, because he told me that it didnt matter to him because as long as he gets to talk to me, and hear my voice and see those small snaps i send him everyday then it doesnt matter to him. like he told me he loves me a few days ago. and yet when Eddie said it, he told me he meant it in a 'ur cool' way. like who the fuck does that! anyway todays my grandpas one year, today marks the day my grandpa died and i emotionally shut down. everytime i saw that ive broken down, it just means i freeze up and stop talking, last time i felt something that deep to cry again since my grandpa was when Eddie broke up with me. and its like what the fuck. there is a shit ton i havent mentioned here yet, but theyre very main key points to the eddie story im writing and so i wont mention them rn, but also a little reminder, the titles of the chapters are actually songs you should listen to while reading the chapter

authors note: all the young adults are in high school, and so are the party members, Joyce and hopper are together, Billy isn't a pimple on anyone's ass. The upside down never happened. and yes ur dad is Pedro pascal his names Nick while your mom is penelope cruz and her name is Maria. have fuuun

Wasted Summer.

The heat in Hawkins was something everyone hated, it wasnt fun, it was frustrating but what did most teenagers do to escape the heat? head to the mall, which is exactly what y/n, robin, johnnathan and argyle decided to do. spending the day there, walking around, eating, the usual for the group really. they'd spend hours there before the girls eventually had to go. "my moms hosting her bookclub tonight and i am needed to help" Robin said as she looked at the group, y/n eating her oreo Mcflurry she got from Mcdonalds "come over after? i know my mom will be there" y/n said as argyle put his elbow on her head, causing johnathan to chuckle "you need to grow, y/n/n" Johnathan said as y/n scowled at the group "im literally a few inches shorter then robin" y/n said smacking argyles arm off of her "hey, dont call me short!" Robin said as she shoulder bumped y/n "im gonna head out though guys, promised Will i'd take him out to that new arcade with his friends" the burnette said as argyle yawned "ive got a hot date with eden tonight" the long haired boy said as everyone chuckled "did she say yes in your dreams or did she kick you in the nuts and you just took it as a yes?" Robin asked "ha ha funny. no she actually said yes, i caught her at family video the other day and i struck up a convo, and she said yes" he smiled, y/n hummed as Robin pipped up "ooh oh! speaking of family video, remind me to tell you about Steve" Robin said as soon after the group seperated, Robin looked over at y/n as they made their way to their bikes "so, ya' know steve, my co-worker. yea well while we were on break, his bff, Edison Munson walked in and we started chatting before steve joked about Eddie wanting a girlfriend, and then Eddie asked if i could set him up and i told him 'oh yea, my friend, y/n, i'll give her your number if she says yes' and so here we are!" Robin smiled

as y/n chuckled looking at her "youre shitting me right?" the h/c girl said as Robin shooked her head as she dug into her pocket, to pull out the small paper that held y/n's dreams "oh my god, rob, i love you!" she said looking at the number as she hugged robin tightly.

....

the minute y/n got home, she undressed as she changed into a pair of sweatpants and a black tank top before she rushed over to her phone, the purple phone was sat there staring back at her as she gripped it tightly, putting it up to her ear as she put in eddies number, messing around with cord while it rang "hello?" Eddies voice rang as y/n took a deep breath "hi, is this Eddie Munson by any chance?" she ask, sitting on her bed as she laid down on her bed, sighing as he chuckled through the phone "depends, whos asking?" She heard him say, causing her to gulp "i'm y/n, robins friend? we've got english together? you once told me you liked the sabbath pin i had on my bag" she stated as Eddie hummed "the pretty girl from my english class? how could i forget? to what do i owe this pleasure?" he said coyly as if he hadnt asked her best friend to set them up

"robin told me to call you, said you were looking around, she decided to play cupid i guess" "i always thought you were pretty, glad steve's big mouth came to use for once" he chuckled causing y/n to giggle as well "well thank him for me, gave me a chance to be set up with a pretty handsome dude" "im handsome? you dont say?" "very actually, had a crush on you for a while so" y/n could practically feel Eddie's cute grin on the other side of the call "you’re feeding my ego babe, i’ve wanted to ask you out for a while but ya' know, didn’t know how" y/n smiled as she looked up at her ceiling "well, how about next Monday? pick me up at 7?" y/n said feeling bold out of no where "yes. might be there early, cant have my pretty lady waiting now can we?" he teased

....

"oh my god, robin. i love him, god i love him so so much!” y/n said looking at her best friend who was sat across from her in the red booth. “we’ve been talking none stop for the past week or so, my parents actually thought i was dissociating again” y/n shrugged taking a sip of her milkshake, as Robin chuckled “he’s so sweet, rob, i wanna pick him up and keep him in my pocket. our dates tomorrow and i literally don’t know what to do with my hair or my clothes!” y/n panicked as she looked at Robin scared "babe, relax its all gonna be fine! curly your hair like you always do, do that glittery makeup look you do, red nails because eddie loves the color, and then one of your sexy hot leather outfits!" Robin smiled as y/n chuckled "interesting" the h/c girl said as she licked her lips

....

Eddie stuck true to his word, he was there around 6:54. he sat there happily waiting as he let out a small sigh, looking at himself in the mirror for the 50th time today just to make sure he looked perfect for y/n. at exactly 7:00, y/n closed the door behind her as she looked at the van surprised to have found it as she smiled at Eddie "i didnt think you meant it when you said you'd be here early" she smiled as she walked up to the van, watching as Eddie got out and rushed over to the over side, opening the door for her as he took in how pretty she looked, a corset dress shirt with a pair of flared jeans, black boots on her feet and a black purse and leather jacket in her arms, she climbed in thanking him as he made his way back, putting his seatbelt on and looking over at her "you look amazing, and two, i am a man of my word, sweetheart, you will never have to wait for me because im going to be ready for you anytime." y/n could feel the heat spread across her cheeks as they drove away from her place "alright, open that for me sweets and pick out something for us to listen to" he said looking over at her as he smiled, she opened the small compartment in the van and looked through the cd's only to be amazed "oh my god, a limited addition Elvis disc? you're shitting me where did you get this from?" she asked looking at him as she admired the disc "i grew up on Elvis, my grandpa had him on all the time" she chuckled as she put the disc in Eddie chuckled as he licked his lips "Well, i found it at a thrift store once, cost me around 15 bucks but it was worth it, i got it when i was a kid, for my mom. but now it just stays in here, barely get the chance to listen to it"

it was a shared feeling between the two, those people were no longer with us. "well shes got amazing taste in music" y/n smiled as they continued driving to a local diner.

....

y/n laughed as Eddie wiped the corners of his mouth "i eat like a child so what?" he teased as he ate a fry, y/n taking a bite of her burger as she looked at him "its cute dont worry" she chuckled, licking her lips as Eddie sat back in the booth "alright, im out of questions to ask, i think i know you so much right now i could take a pop quiz about you" Eddie smiled lookin at the girl opposite him "im flattered, could say the same about you, Edward" she teased as he groaned, pretending to fall down "you wound me with such a name" he scoffed playfully as y/n looked at him, with a sparkle in her eye. he was everything she thought he was.

the rest of the date was spent filled with giggles and laughs shared between the two, both sharing cute moments. staring at each other with nothing but admiration in each others.

.... it was around 10, when they gotten back to y/n's place, exactly when her parents asked her to come home. she looked over at Eddie as she smiled "i had alot of fun, Eddie. thank you really." she smiled as Eddie grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it "anytime sweets, about that second date we mentioned earlier, how about this upcoming sunday?" Eddie smiled, staring at her with his button eyes that had her melting within seconds “missing me already?” y/n giggled as Eddie shrugged, sighing dramatically. taking in her laugh as she looked at him "could be, might wanna, ya' know keep you in my pocket and take you wherever." he smiled, looking at her as she bit the inside of her cheek "come on let me walk you to your door" he smiled as he got out moving to help her out the van and then walked her to her door "i'll see you sunday, eds. call me when you get home, yea?" she said moving to kiss his cheek as she stood on her toes, smiling as she opened her door, walking in to be greeted by her parents

who stood side by side smiling at her "so?" y/n's mom said as y/n took her shoes off, picking them up as she kissed their cheeks and moved to put her shoes away "how was it? did he-" "open the door for me, made sure i got in the van and was buckled up, drove under 40 so exactly at the speed limit, paid for lunch and desert. it was perfect" she smiled as she looked at her parents, her dad nodding as he realised she'd made a check list of everything he does does for her mom. things he's mentioned to her she should make sure her dates do or else theyre not worth the second date "apparently he likes me so much that, he cant wait long for our second date, so we're going out on sunday" she said as she fidgeted with her rings "honey, thats great!" her mom said rushing over to her to hug her "isnt that great, Nick? go and get changed so we can watch our movie! go go" she smiled as y/n nodded, rushing upstairs to change. .... it was pure bliss that first week for y/n and Eddie. hanging out at his trailer or in her room, going out on cute dates to the mall, or arcade. he would get her a bunch of flowers everytime he'd see her, he'd play all her favorite songs on the guitar considering they had similar taste in music. Eddie had never let a soul touch his hair but y/n was special, she was y/n. a month into seeing each other, Eddie finally asked her to be his, that alone couldve been something that made y/n feel better about everything. suddenly nothing could upset her, she'd get morning messages from eddie, she would tell him all about her day and he would listen to every word with a smile on his face while he admired her, he loved how excited and how big her eyes would get when she would talk about something she loved, wether it be art or music or her grandpa. it didnt matter he would listen to her word for word. One thing Eddie had noticed was when they'd make out, y/n would attempt to stop it leading to anything else. Eddie made sure he didnt force her into anything but he felt this need for her sometimes and he was getting tired of his fist. he thought maybe he'd bring it up when it happened again, ..... his larger hands kept their place on y/ns hips, their lips fitting together like two puzzle pieces. Eddie hummed into her mouth as he moved his hands down to her ass, squeezing the meet through her jeans, god he loved these jeans, they made her ass look so so fucking good. his hands soon traveled to her thighs, squeezing them as well, this is where eddie knew exactly what would happen. his hands traveled closer up her thighs to her heat, y/n pulled away from the kiss panting as she moved to hold Eddies hands, a sigh leaving Eddies mouth as he looked at y/n with a confused yet concerned look "babe, do you not want this?" he asked as, y/n gulped licking her swollen lips "want what?" she asked knowing exactly what he meant. "its just everytime i try to take things further you just sort of stop me, you'll do anything to distract me from it. am i doing something wrong? are you okay?" he asked licking his lips as y/n looked at their hands gulping "i'm a virgin, eds. apart from that, i cant have sex." she said looking at him as he tried to work it out in his head

I WANNA DIE

okay so basically little rant about my love life cuz wtf not. recently lifes been a mess i failed my gcses and im doing fast track with english as my only alevel and if i dont impress my teachers they might not take me to level 3 rn to continue on and not have to repeat year 12. i also have to retake my maths exam in nov which im dreading cuz its the same month as my grandpas death day. anyways this ex of mine who i had two fwb situations with during the summer, he was my crush for 4 years by the way. and we broke up the first time because he wanted sex and its against my religon and even if it wasnt i wouldnt do it because of past truama and just the pure fact im not reayd n im not sure i ever will be. he told me he loved me a few hours before we broke up. and so to cope with all of this, you guys are getting the most depressing love story of Eddie Munson based on exactly me and this ex, ur gonna hate eddie after this but i will be leaving out the part where my ex is compulsive liar and has admitted it to me when we became friends and he told me he might be gay but he doesnt wanna be (could be a lie again hes a compuslive liar) he ended our friendship last week and today was the first day id seen him again, the first time i was really crowded and he wasnt as close to me but then when me and my friend left school grounds to go to the nearby gas station he was there with his best friend, and i literally started shaking that my friend got so worried espcially since i havent been doing well cause of this chick i befriended recently and my other friend came later and he got worried too but some of this series will be fictional so it wont end the same time me and my ex stopped being friends, but we stopped being friends cause i still have feelings for him and he told me he thought girls were revolting. so yay, enjoy, tbh im putting my entire mental state into it because if i dont do it i might go insane because my mental health is declining terribly :))

Holding her back

Eddie Munson x reader warnings: strong language, real angsty, mentions of sexual things, no happy ending. yes, I am an evil fuck.

summary: Eddie feels like he's holding y/n back, and that's where the demise of their relationship starts

Holding Her Back

Eddie had walked into the woods before dnd started since he decided to ditch last period, noticing y/n finishing a sketch, she was sat at their spot, he couldn’t help but admire her for a bit "hey" Eddie said holding his hands as she looked at him, taking in his features before clearing her throat and looking back down at the drawing of Eddie. "you're still here, don't have a deal to tend to?" she mumbled slamming her sketchbook shut as Eddie watched her nodding "I-i wanted to talk to you. I figured I'd find you here" she hummed as she put her sketchbook in her bag and zip it up "ive gotta go, my dad could be here." she said needing to get away from him even though her lie didn’t work with the time "y/n, wait please, ive been holding this off long enough and its hurting the both of us" y/n looked at him as Eddie gazed back into her eyes "quickly" she mumbled turning a bit to face him "i think we should break up..” Eddie said as y/n gulped, her eyes filling with tears as she nodded “done then” she whispered as he voice cracked a bit, taking off the necklace he got her and placing it down on the table as she grabbed her stuff and hurried off to the front of the school, making sure she was far from Eddie so she could release the sobs she’s been holding in. Eddie put his hands in his face as he let his tears fall ‘this is what’s best for her’ he reminded himself. those two years of being together were over. all those memories and moments between the two, gone.

….

the universe seemed to hate y/n as on her walk home while sobbing her eyes out, it had begun to rain, soaking her completely as she hid her sketchbook to save it from the water. it wasn’t long that she got to her house, glad that nothing happened to her books and sketchbook as she opened the door walking in before Nick looked at her confused “kid? what happened?” he said rushing for to his daughter as she gulped, she kept her gaze on the floor, not reacting to her dads touch “we broke up” she whispered as she licked her lips “what?” Nick asked confused, Eddie was over just.a few nights ago and everything seemed fine

“he broke up with me” y/n sobbed as she held onto her stuff tightly, Nick was quick to wrap his arms around her, holding her tightly as he kissed the top of her head “i’m so sorry, i’ve got you baby girl.” he muttered as he tried to calm her down “he just left you to walk in the rain?” “no, he thought you were picking me up so” y/n wiped her eyes smudging the bit of makeup that had remained on her face “i’m gonna go take a shower” she said taking her shoes off as she put her slippers on, rushing to her bathroom as she dropped all her stuff at her desk and walked into the bathroom, undressing and getting into the shower, turning the hot water on as she stood underneath it. did Eddie fall for someone else? did he realise y/n wasn’t good enough for him? did he get bored?

y/n spent an hour of her shower just standing underneath the water and crying, letting the hot water pierce her skin, before she actually began washing her hair and body, saving as well before getting out and doing her skincare, before getting changed into one of Eddie’s shirts and a pair of shorts, moving downstairs as she dried her short hair with a towel “hey kid, you feeling better?” Nick asked as he watched her sit next to him on the couch, looking at the table and all the snacks he put out for them

“i’m not hungry” she whispered, pulling her knees up to sit underneath her chin as she sniffled “kid, you gotta eat, see i got you, pizza and sushi and noodles, and your favorite shrimps, see it’s a full buffet for the two of us” he smiled looking at her and he put some of her hair behind her ear “i’ll eat later, let’s just start the movie” She muttered grabbing the remote as she turned it on. Nick looked at her as worry sat on his face.

….

wayne had returned home to find the trailer quiet, when he took his shoes off and began walking to the bathroom, he’d noticed the dump Eddie’s room had become and when we went in to clean it up, he’d noticed that Eddie was sat on his mattress holding onto a shirt “ed’s, son what is all this mess?” Wayne asked before noticing how bloodshot Eddie’s eyes were “i broke up with her. i’m just holding her back, i hurt her, wayne. you should’ve seen how pained she was, i hurt her” Eddie said his lip pouting as he kept his gaze ahead

wayne sighed as he sat down next to his nephew, rubbing his shoulder as he hugged him tightly “come ‘ere, son” wayne whispered as Eddie hugged him tightly “she hates me now. i messed it all up” Eddie whispered as he held onto wayne tightly, he let the love of his life go. just like that.

HAPPY SEASON 4 DAY!

it was one year ago today, that i’d fallen in love with Eddie Munson and Joseph Quinn, who would soon become the people who’d save me from many things. it was exactly one year ago today that my favourite show came back to me to give me one hell of a good year with a amazing summer to follow. i was in my worst at the time, all it took was to watch my comfort show to begin to find comfort in eddie, realising just how much i relate to him, especially with how i’m perceived at school. eddie munson saved me and joseph quinn did too. they both managed to make me feel like maybe everything was worth something, that maybe things aren’t that bad, that yk it’ll get better. they were there for me when no one was and i don’t regret a thing about falling in love with the both of them. n ik it’s corny as shit n cringe as shit. but i’m never felt safer then i do when i watch eddie or joseph on screen. it’s like a huge bubble of emotion just bursts into me and makes me feel contempt 🫀💗

Holding her back

Eddie Munson x reader warnings: strong language, real angsty, mentions of sexual things, no happy ending. yes, I am an evil fuck.

summary: Eddie feels like he's holding y/n back, and that's where the demise of their relationship starts

authors note: all the young adults are in high school, and so are the party members, Joyce and hopper are together, Billy isn't a pimple on anyone's ass. The upside down never happened. and yes ur dad is Pedro pascal. have fuuun masterlist

Holding Her Back

something that humoured Eddie was how no one batted an eye when they see Carver and his group of rats gang up on Eddie, and that's exactly what was happening. just another day for everyone, while Eddies got a black eye, a cut on his lip and possibly a broken nose with all the blood coming from it, Eddie did hit back, but he was one on five, he'd manage to get one down, another would come back up. they were getting their dignity back after Eddie had beaten them up a few days back. "you know whats a real big shame, freak? that pretty girlfriend of yours, y/n. She's got a bright future ahead of her, but do you think shell really achieve anything with you by her? fuck no" Jason said as Eddie pushed him away from him, leaning his body against the wall behind him as he wiped his bloody nose before Eddie knew it, he was on the ground while Andys foot hit against his stomach over and over again, before they'd decided to leave him alone, but what hurt the most wasn’t the kicks or the punches. it was the fact that deep down, eddie knew they were right, that Eddie was holding y/n back from amazing things, he knew that the tiny voice in his head that he would ignore was right. Eddie wasn’t good enough for y/n, no matter how hard he tries, he’s just a phase in her life he needs to get her out of, but how could he leave her? the love of his life was y/n, he felt sick just thinking about how hurt she would feel, he knew deep down that he was holding back.

….

y/n had been waiting for Eddie at his trailer with Wayne, her dad needing to take an extra shift meant y/n all by herself, so she grabbed the left overs from the lasagna she’d made, making sure she left some for her dad, and made her way to the Munson trailer. “Eddie’s mom” y/n mumbled as Wayne handed her Polaroids of a woman who looked similar to Eddie “yep, she was beautiful, my boy got everything from her, even his wild hair he can’t seem to brush” y/n chuckled as she looked at the picture, Eddie looked just like her “he’s got her eyes” she said as she smiled noticing the ring on her finger, it was the ring Eddie had given her for her birthday

y/n handed Wayne the picture back before the door abruptly opened, revealing a rather pissed off Eddie. both Wayne and y/n shot up from their seats “Ed’s what happened to you?” Wayne asked as y/n walked up to him, placing her hands on his face as Eddie moved away from her “Ed’s what happened?” she said looking at him “nothing, i got into a fight” he mumbled keeping his eyes on the floor, as he bit the inside of his lip “come on, we need to clean you up” y/n said trying to wipe the blood from his lip before he moved away “man, get off me will you?” he spat glaring at her before he walked off into his room

“boy get back here!” Wayne said as he heard Eddie bedroom door slam shut, y/n stood there shocked before she turned to Wayne “he probably wants to be alone it’s fine” she said giving Wayne a small smile before she moved to grab the empty places on the table, putting them in the plate as Wayne helped her clean up. once they were done, Wayne had gone out for a smoke while y/n went to check up on eddie “Eddie? can i come in?” she asked, before opening the door, as Eddie sat on the floor with a cloth on his lip, he took a glance at her before he looked away “what?” he mumbled moving the cloth away to look at the blood

“i got you food, its lasagne” she said walking in as she closed the door, sitting next to him as she placed the plate down as well. “you wanna tell me what happened?” she asked as she looked at him “i don’t have to tell you everything” he said looking at her “stop getting all up into my shit.” y/n face fell as she nodded, Eddie’s never once spoken to her that way. she nodded before she looking at around “Wayne showed me a pictures of your mom, she’s really seems prettier in ever picture i see” Eddie sensed the hurt in y/n’s voice, he knew he was starting to hurt her

“listen i’m tired, i wanna go to sleep, can you just go home and i’ll, like, call you i guess?” He said looking at her as y/n furrowed her eyebrows confused “Eddie, did i do something?” “god, not everything revolves around you, y/n. i get it you’re my girlfriend but that does not mean we have to hangout all the time” y/n gulped as she bit the inside of her lip “sorry, it’s my fault that i’m trying to be a good girlfriend. and i’ll go home, don’t worry” she said getting up as she walked out the room, grabbing her jacket and bag before heading out. Eddie rubbed his face as he got up, moving into the bathroom to get the first aid kit out, and clean his face up.

….

y/n had set up the table, three plates, like every morning. she hummed along to the Elvis record she had on, soon finishing up the pancakes and placing the plate of them in the middle of the table. “y/n?” Nick had called out as he walked down the stairs “in here!” y/n said as she poured coffee in the three glasses she’d put on the table, Nick walked in and smiled at her “morning” he said as he sat down yawning a-bit “morning, what time did you get home from your shift?” she asked handing him a glass of water, a habit they’ve had since Nick always forgets to drink water.

“around three, you were asleep when i got home” he said beginning to smear chocolate all over his pancake “did you eat the leftovers? i took some for Wayne and Eddie and left out some for you since i knew you’d get home hungry” “yea i did” he said his mouth filled with a mixture of pancakes and chocolate “Munson not coming for breakfast?” he asked nothing Eddie’s empty chair at the table “i’m not sure, he wasn’t in the best mood when i saw him last night, he was… all beat up, just really sour” y/n said as she sat down, grabbing a pancake and doing the same as Nick did “i’ll just keep some aside for him, and after school i’ll give them to him” she mumbled taking a sip of her coffee

as Nick nodded “so i was thinking tomorrow night, we could go out pick a movie out, and have a movie night, I’ve got tomorrow off” he shrugged as y/n swallowed her food nodding ”just saying i am not watching top gun maverick again, i think i can recite the entire movie scene for scene” she said as they both chuckled “it’s a good movie besides if i let you pick the movie it’ll just mean i’m either watching dirty dancing or pretty in pink” “hey you cried watching pretty in pink!” “i did not!” “did so!” she laughed as she then looked at her watch

“shit Eddie’s late” she said finishing off her pancake before drinking the rest of her coffee “You go ahead to school and I’ll clean up, need a ride?” Nick said wiping the corners of his mouth with a napkin “I do, You sure you've got the time?” “yea I’m sure, I’ve got a couple hours before my next shift,” he said as y/n got up helping Nick clean up before grabbing her backpack, swinging it on her back as Nick tied his work boots, getting up once he was done, grabbing his keys. both of them getting in the car and driving off. .... y/n pulled out her chemistry textbook out of her locker, to place it inside her bag, she hadn't seen eddie for the last two periods. she was lost in thought that she hadn't noticed Robin who was staring at her concerned "you okay?" the blonde asked as y/n looked at her, clearing her throat "yea yea, its just Eddie, he's acting off" she said closing her bag as she closed her locker, locking it as her and Robin walked off to Chem "have you seen him today?" y/n asked, concerned about her boyfriend. "no but during lunch, ill call up steve and ask if they're hanging out, you know Eddie, he'll ditch a day of school to get high with king steve" y/n hummed in agreement as the two made their way into class, something was off and y/n knew it. Eddie was sat in the back of his van, a joint hanging from his lip, as Robert plants voice rang through his headphones, the ones y/n had gifted him along with the cassette player for his birthday, his eyes set on the song journal in front of him "fucking shit" he mumbled, closing the journal and throwing it next to him as he took a deep drag from the joint, letting the smoke into his system, maybe it would help drown out Jasons voice and y/ns, the anger and hurt that laced it last night. he's going to do it, today. he'll break up with her and just support her from the side lines, where she wouldn't know. after a few more minutes of sitting and string at the carpet of the vans back area with Zepplin filling his head, Eddie stopped the tape as he took the headphones off, opening the door to his van and setting out, throwing the joint on the floor as he put it out, grabbing his journal and stuffing it in the mess he calls a backpack, zipping it uo and swinging it over his leather clad shoulder, closing the door and locking the van, before walking inside the building and heading to the drama room. .... part 2 here!

part 3 here!

Ain't No Sunshine — Steve Harrington

HE MUST'VE HAD the song downloaded four-hundred times on his cassette tape, because you were just about ready to bash your head in when the beginning notes played from Steve's bedroom.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, it's not warm when she's away.

You were in the living room, finishing up some writings that you had due for your classes when you gazed unamused at the ceiling. He'd been playing the song on repeat, singing along badly in order to coax you into giving him some love and affection as you always did on a Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, this deadline was currently taking priority, and Steve was being a drama queen about it.

You still had about four pages to write, as well as some questions to answer before anything else took over your mind, so you had to suffer.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and she's always gone too long, anytime she goes away.

You'd practically memorised the words and melody to this song, mouthing them with good ol' Bill Withers as he provided sustenance to feed Steve's dramatics. You could hear Steve's faux grieving voice as he sang along, making the song a whole heap more dramatic than the original recording.

Wonder this time where she's gone, wonder if she's gonna stay.

Trying to persevere through the loud stereo blasting muffled music above your head is a lot more difficult than you might imagine. Ever since you had gone to his place in a tizzy that you had things to do before a deadline and couldn't afford any distractions, you had banished him to his room, and for about an hour, had some quiet.

That changed when the second hour became the third, and the music started when the sun began to go down, reeling on loop as though it was a broken record.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and this house just ain't no home, any time she goes away.

You smiled slightly, though. For all of Steve's dramatics and ridiculous behaviours, he loved you, and you loved him. All of his quirks made him special to you, and you loved to be with him no matter what was happening around the world, especially when the whole Upside Down thing began catching up to him, mentally and physically. Now, he was a cuddly baby that loved hugging you. He always said that he felt safer to sleep in your arms.

And I know, I know, I know, I know...

He must've given up on singing, because Steve's voice could no longer be heard. Probably ran out of oxygen. Good. He needed to rest after the whole Russian situation. You only had one page left to write and a few more questions to do before you could give your Steve what he needed so desperately.

A hug. And a fat nap.

You sighed as the tape continued playing the bridge, scrawling your pencil over the paper. You had started with gorgeous cursive, and had evolved into writing chicken scratch to speed up the time. Two questions down, half a page to go...

Hey, I ought to leave the young thing alone, but ain't no sunshine when she's gone.

Three lines, two sentences, aaaaand...

Done.

Throwing the pencil down and thudding the book shut, you pushed yourself to a standing position, practically bounding up the stairs, dragging yourself up by the handrails.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, only darkness everyday.

You came to the first floor landing, stepping onto the carpeted floor with your socked feet and beelined for Steve's room. The door was shut, but Bill's soothing voice carried through the wood, almost getting impossibly loud as you inched closer.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and this house just ain't no home, any time she goes away.

Stepping into the room as you swing open the door, the final outro of the song is echoing through, fading away. You smile to find Steve on his back, staring at the ceiling as he waits for the next loop to begin.

You are silent as you halt the tape, crawling onto the bed and giving him a big ol' smooch. He looks at you with innocent and wide eyes, a big fat smile settling on his face.

"All done?" he asks.

You nod, confirming. "All done."

You yelp as he flings himself at you, wrapping his arms around your waist and tumbling over the other side of the bed. He's quick to bring the covers over you both, leaving the bed side light on. A new habit, but it didn't bother you.

You tussled for a little, finding a comfortable position that agreed with all parties and bones. You settled on bear hugging him as he tangled your legs together and kept his nose near your hair.

You giggled, running your nails down his back. "You big baby."

He grumbled. "Ain't no sunshine when you're not here."

The Cake Attack Of ‘87
The Cake Attack Of ‘87

It was Robin Buckley’s 19th birthday and Steve was far too excited to throw his best friend her very first surprise party. He had been running around Hawkins, sneakily buying bags of party streamers and quietly shoving helium balloons into his car, all week. You were in charge of getting all the food; pastries, chips, the cake. This was a very important task, something Steve continued to emphasize, because it’s not really a birthday party without the birthday cake. He also kept telling you that he trusts you with this very important mission because you’re the person he trusts the most, which is a load of crap. You’re just the only other person with a license that doesn’t drive like a maniac.

Steve was on a kitchen chair in the middle of the living room when you walked into his house. His cheeks were flushed, pieces of tape between his lips, as he attempted to stick purple streamers to the ceiling.

“Hey, Stevie.” You walked over to his kitchen and put the cake down with the other sweets. There were plates full of cupcakes and cookies on the counter. A myriad of drinks and bags of chips. Maybe Steve had gone a little above and beyond considering the amount of people coming but honestly, it was really sweet.

“Hey, sweetheart. Got the cake?” You walked back into the living room where he was trying to get a mess of tape off his hand. The chair he was on wobbling a little as he flailed his arms. You sped walked over to him and grabbed his hand, gently peeling the pieces of tape off his hand. “Thank you.” He mumbled, stepping off the seat and planting a kiss on your forehead.

“Of course, one vanilla birthday cake.” You reached down for his hand, pulling him into the kitchen with you. The white cardboard box, with the words ‘Giovanni’s Bakery’ spread across the top, sat nicely among the other treats “You know, I think this is very nice of you.” You wrapped your arms around his torso, looking up at him. “You’re the best friend a girl could ask for, babe.”

A wide smirk spread across his face. “Yeah? Am I the best boyfriend a girl could ask for?”

“Well….”

“(y/n).”

“Yes, Steve.” You rolled your eyes playfully. “You’re the best boyfriend anyone could ask for.”

“Yeah, that’s what I thought.” Steve’s smirk was replaced by a big dumb grin. He brought you in for a kiss, hand on the back of your head.

The doorbell rang throughout the house, immediately followed with incessant knocking. “C’mon, Harrington! It’s hot out here.” Eddie’s voice was slightly muffled by the door. Dustin’s voice not far behind.

“Yeah, open up.”

-

Robin had been sufficiently surprised. Actually, when she walked through the door and everyone yelled out, she threw her water bottle at the nearest child. Mike was winded for a few seconds but got over it quickly.

“Awww Stevie, you did this all for me?” Robin’s arm was flung around your shoulders as she spoke. She was making light of the situation but her heart felt so full. No one had ever done something so nice for her. There aren’t a lot of moments when Steve and Robin tell each other how much they care for one another and this felt like Steve’s way of saying just that.

“Oh yeah, you should’ve seen him.” You slid your arm around Robin’s waist. “He was a decoration fiend. Driving around, car full of balloons.”

“You’re both annoying.” Steve rolled his eyes with absolutely no real annoyance. There was nothing he loved more than watching you get along with your shared friends.

You weren’t originally part of the group. When Steve asked you to officially be his girlfriend, he was actually quite nervous about introducing you to his friends. He was so scared they would run you off. His anxiety proved to be unnecessary because you were welcomed with open arms by everyone. Even Max was a fan. “Whatever, happy birthday, nerd.”

“Yeah, happy birthday, Robs.” You kissed her cheek. “Oh! The cake. We must abide by tradition and awkwardly sing happy birthday.” You clapped your hands and excitedly went to go grab the cake. Steve started gathering everyone, herding them to the kitchen table. The cake was now on a pretty crystal stand. You were very careful, gently putting it down on the table in front of everyone. There were unlit candles on the top of the sweet dessert. “Right, we need to light those. I’ll go look for a lighter.”

While you were in the kitchen, rummaging through drawers you heard some loud chattering immediately followed by a thud. You rushed back to where everyone was standing. All of them looking very guilty. Your beautiful boyfriend was standing in the middle of everyone, face covered in vanilla frosting, large chunks of sponge cake littered around his hair. Robin and Eddie were standing to the side, neither of them able to meet your eyes. Both of them clearly the culprits behind the cake attack. You would have to deal with them later.

“Baby, what have they done to you?” You scraped some frosting off his eyelids so he could finally open them. He still couldn’t really open his eyes, squinting to be able to look down at you.

“Just point me in their direction so I can kill them.”

“No murder right now, tiger.” You intertwined your fingers, carefully leading him up the stairs. “Gotta get you cleaned up first.”

-

In the bathroom upstairs Steve was sitting on the closed toilet, your hand holding his face still. You were wiping his face clean with a moist towel, trying your absolute best to be as gentle as possible, not wanting to irritate his skin. His hand was on the back of your thigh, softly rubbing circles with his thumb. He was looking up at you, adoration clear in his eyes. The moment was so sweet, it filled his heart with pure unadulterated happiness.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there to stop the hooligans.” You picked a particularly large piece of sponge cake out of his hair.

“It’s alright, better me than you, sweetheart.” He put his hand on your hip and shot you a wink.

“Alright, Romeo.” You scoffed, trying your best to get all the frosting out of perfect hair. “Want me to just wash your hair, babe?”

“Please.” Steve pouted, loving all the attention you were giving him. He was usually trying his best to take care of everyone around him so he was taking full advantage of the situation.

-

Steve was then sitting on a chair that he had dragged into the bathroom, his head on the cold marble of the bathroom sink. A really uncomfortable position, but he’s not complaining, not when he has your fingers in his hair. The anger he had felt earlier when Eddie and Robin pushed his face into the cake completely gone now.

“I’m a little scared that they’re down there by themselves.” You said, sitting down on his lap as you rinsed the suds out of his hair. Gently kneading the last bits of cake out.

“Baby, in this moment I don’t really care.” His eyes were closed, just enjoying the feeling of your magic fingers expertly massaging his head. “They can break whatever they want.”

He was being serious. He loved how you took care of him; you were so attentive and caring. Steve had always felt clingy in his relationship with Nancy, and you never made him feel that way. You both loved each other and cared for each other, he was finally happy. Nancy might’ve been his first love but you were his great love, he was sure of it.

A crash was heard from downstairs, making you both jump. “(y/n) it wasn’t me I swear!” You heard Lucas call up the stairs.

You sighed and rested your head on Steve’s shoulder. He was laughing.

“I don’t know why you’re laughing; this is your house.”

You felt his laugh come to a stop. “Those little shits.”

Let Me In

Steve Harrington X Eddie Munson

Eddie wants so badly to tell Steve the pressing matters on his mind. So much so that he's willing to bike all the way in the rain to show him just how he feels.

⚠️ Warnings: Slight Angst, mentions of scars, kinda sexual wording?⚠️

Let Me In

The rain poured and poured nonstop outside of the Family Video Store. It was dark and dreary, but when it was matched with the most spontaneous bike ride and a Walkman that played Iron Maiden, it was just perfect. The puddles splashed around as the new droplets of water joined the ground, making short tapping noises almost as if the sky was speaking in Morose Code. The night was just starting to fall which meant that the sky was a dark and hazy blue-grey, a calming and pretty sight to passersby. The stars were just starting to peek out as they twinkled onto the dark pavement below. The only thing that lit up the lot was the Family Video Store fluorescent lighting which shone on the cracks and pebbles of the pavement Eddie rode on, bike wheels slightly scuffing up the earth. His curly brown hair was now down to his shoulders since it was wet beyond belief and his clothes were equally soaked. His Hellfire Club shirt stuck to his midsection and his black ripped jeans became ten times heavier with the weight of the water holding him down. Still, he pushed through as he caught a glimpse of the writing on his shoes, urging him to go on. In the whitest parts of the soles Steve had written him little phrases. The little doodles of stars and smiley faces added to the butterflies starting to form in the pit of Eddie's chest as he knew what he was about to do.

The bike made a scraping noise as he came to an immediate halt the moment he made it to the front doors. He couldn't wait until he could exchange it for a motorbike of sorts, once he graduated highschool once and for all that is. Until then, the red chipped paint and the handlebars that locked up with every given chance would have to suffice. Throwing the transportation device onto the sidewalk, Eddie gave himself a slight pep talk before he went into the store. The movie posters that had been printed on the windows added to the feeling of excitement when he noticed one of them was The Evil Dead. Fiddling with the rings on one of his hands, he shook his wrist as the anxiety of the situation finally hit him. Still raining, he knew his slight eyeliner must've run down his face and would most likely cause a scene once he was inside the familiar store. Hopefully, since it was just closing, Eddie would be able to get in undetected via lack of customers.

Pushing open the doors, a bell resounds throughout the entirety of the small building, signifying the presence of someone entering. The carpet looked the same as he remembered, dirty and printed with that horrid triangular design exclusive to the 80's. However, even though the front desk stayed the same, the rest of the displays had been moved around expertly to accommodate all of the vhs tapes that littered the shelves. Eddie pushed on further inside, starting to regret his decision until his eyes made direct contact with Steve "The Hair" Harrington, wearing the most ridiculous green vest.

It felt as though time itself had stopped as if Eddie and Steve were the only beings in the world. Steve's hair was everywhere which told the metalhead that he had been stressed and ripping at his hair again. His light blue polo underneath the horrendous work attire brought out the phenomenal golden color of his skin and his dark brown eyes looked Eddie up and down. From the tips of his toes to the hair on his head, Steve took everything in and drank it into his memory, keeping it there as if he needed to remember every minute detail about Eddie and his physicality. The leather jacket under his patched up denim and his ridiculous perm that seemed to be exclusive to the music nerds of Hawkins High. The bats that were hidden under Eddie's clothing called out to Steve in an odd way, as if his fingers burned from the possibility of being able to graze over that portion of Eddie's skin.

Eddie offered up a slight smile to which the other boy returned, a grin that had melted the hearts of many and offered a sort of solace for the kids Eddie played D&D with. Steve was very handsome, he thought. It made him want to melt into the floor everytime he got to see the smile that showed off his brilliant teeth.

"Ahoy!- er- shit that was my last job, sorry." Steve chuckled and pushed the hair that was falling into his eyes away from his face, tucking a strand of it behind his ear as he leant on the red desk from behind. The telephone on the right of his arm was just as red as the counter and presumably Eddie's cheeks by this point. Thinking about Harrington was one thing, seeing him in the flesh was another.

"Ah it's okay, I didn't come to rent a movie." Eddie put one of his feet in front of the other, gently tapping the sole to the tip of the shoe in an anxious manner. He tried to look at anything but the beautiful boy in front of him, finding it excruciatingly hard for him to think about anything else. The ceiling tiles, the movies, the floor, the telephone, everything was so disinteresting compared to the radiance of Steve Harrington. Eddie was torn from his thoughts the moment he saw the pen lettering on his shoe.

'Never change, Munson.'

Steve had written that with a borrowed pen from Robin at one of Eddie's Corroded Coffin shows. He had played a total of two songs and there were about ten people who showed, but Steve was one of them. Eddie wouldn't have had it any other way; watching the popular boy glance at him over his guitar, tongue slightly escaping his lips as he glanced at Eddie's hands which were put to work on the strings, playing the familiar Metallica tune.

"What can I do for you then, Eddie? ...Did you bike here?" Steve asked, voice laced with slight concern. It never failed to make Eddie's insides twist and turn into something one could only describe as pure and utter admiration for another human being.

"I-I-" He began, but got lost in the words. How would he come clean about his feelings? How would he possibly be able to put into words the exact way he felt whenever Steve drove him to school or when he would smile at him from afar? How would he be able to get Steve to comprehend how he felt when he came to one of his shows? How would Eddie put into words how badly he wanted to touch Steve beyond the friendly handshakes and fist bumps?

"I think I might have a sweater lying around somewhere in the back if you want some dry clothes." Steve started to flip up the corner of the desk so he could walk out to the break room. He was wearing those stupid khakis that were so exclusive to the father community of Hawkins that Eddie would've had to suppress a laugh if he wasn't so invigorated with the current task at hand. Moving towards him, he threw all caution to the wind as he grabbed the other boy's hand, stopping him from moving any further and replacing the comfortable expression on his face with one of confusion. Steve's brows were furrowed but his hands and face were hot unbeknownst to the metalhead. This was the closest they had been in proximity by themselves, without the familiar screaming of the kids or the incessant nagging from Robin and Nancy. Just pure and utter silence and two boys looking for the right words to say.

"Steve."

"Eddie."

Eddie shifted in his spot, moving his jacket up with his shoulders and uncomfortably being awkward. Suddenly the store seemed hot and suffocating, the walls closing in on the two of them in his mind. Yet even with this sense of claustrophobia, he wanted to get even closer to Steve and to feel his hot breath exhaling against his skin and to feel the heat of him flush against his chest. To play with the hair that was always freshly sprayed with Farrah Faucet and the trace over the imperfections on his skin. Every scar, freckle, and mole on his body yearned to be touched by Steve's lips and the thought alone made him shudder in excitement. He knew he had to say this now before he was never able to again.

"I think-"

"Think what?" Steve harmlessly glanced at his face once more, trying to pick out what it was he was feeling.

"I think I feel more towards you than just a friend." Eddie finally let the words roll off his tongue and into the open air, surrounding the two of them as though they were music notes, echoing inside his mind and bouncing off the body of the boy in front of him. For a moment, Eddie felt relieved but quickly composed himself as he awaited a response.

Steve felt very very weird. He had never felt this type of way in his life, being at an indecision of what to do. He didn't know whether to freak out and shun away the thoughts he knew he had about Eddie months prior to his confession, or to accept it and let the boy know he felt the same. This would change everything and yet, it would change nothing. Eddie was so gorgeous. His hair was still dripping onto the floor that Steve was supposed to clean up after his shift, which ended twenty minutes ago. The chains and patches loosely placed onto his jeans and jacket made Steve's insides go wild at the thought of tracing over them with his hands, cautiously wondering what they would feel like under his tongue. But- despite all this- he remained expressionless, glued to his spot and not saying anything.

Eddie felt his heart break. He felt every inch of his chest erupt into fire, killing the butterflies that stemmed from his admiration and longing and anxiousness. It was all too much for him to handle. The worst part was knowing that he would have to go on as though nothing ever happened between him and the King of Hawkins High. As if every aching of his heart wasn't pointed in the direction of the one person on earth he'd wanted to be his lover since day one.

Turning around, he walked out of Family Video. The sky was now fully dark and the rain still beat against the windows, his bike now fully wet with the water that sloshed down from the gutters on the roof and the water that filled the puddles in the pavement. His heart felt similar to that in a way- just an open cavity slowly drowning from the inside out.

"Eddie!" Steve shouted from the door, but Eddie didn't want to hear it. He mounted his bike with tears in his eyes, mixing with the rain that fell from the clouds overhead. He paid no mind to Steve, who was now in the rain with him. It wasn't until he started to ride off that Steve knew he couldn't let him go. He couldn't just allow him to think that he didn't feel the same longing as he did. As if he didn't think about loving him in every extremity. Running faster, Steve managed to stand in Eddie's direction with his arms held out in an attempt to stop him from going any further. The tears threatening to spill from eyes became too much as Steve allowed them to fall, an emotion he didn't portray often.

"Eddie. I think about you that way too!"

The metalhead hopped off the bike. Standing just a few feet apart from the boy he'd grown to love, he felt the water escaping his lungs as the universe allowed him to breathe again. It was as if someone had conducted a surgery on his heart and fixed him and all the spontaneity he held within him before. All because Steve said the three words that he'd thought walking into the video store tonight.

"I love you."

And there it was. Rain still pouring relentlessly and both boys with cheeks so red you'd think they'd gotten a sunburn in the middle of autumn, there it was. The raw and beautiful emotion of two lovers who had been torn apart by society but still found a way back to one another. A couple of hesitant footsteps in front of them and the soft sobs that could be heard from Steve pushed the couple closer and closer until eventually the thoughts of tasting one another became actions. The thoughts of love and emotion became words and the intensity of their attraction became feverish as they allowed themselves to consume each other in their grasp under the harsh rain.

"I wish you hadn't waited so long to tell me that, Harrington. Otherwise, I would've been right here this whole time." Eddie said, wiping a stray tear away from his face once they broke away. A slight chuckle left him as he took in Steve's flustered but beautiful state. His hair was flatter than a pancake against his head and it made Eddie love him even more knowing that he willingly followed him out in the rain even at the expense of his hair.

"May I kiss you again?" Steve asked ever so softly, finally allowing him to voice the emotions he'd been feeling for so long.

"Of course." Eddie said, smiling and leaning in for another one.

The sky crackled above with a beautiful blue and purple lightning, shining down over the lovers who felt just as electric as the weather.

Dusty Bun and the Vomit Ploy

Eddie Munson X Steve Harrington X Reader

This isn't proofread, please forgive me it's been a long week

⚠️ Warnings: swearing, crack ⚠️

Dusty Bun And The Vomit Ploy

Eddie held onto your hand tightly as you made your way through the hallways of Hawkins High; class was still in session so the two of you had to be somewhat quiet as you snuck your way out the front doors. You were in Chemistry when Eddie had brought up the proposition by waving his hands frantically on the other side of the small window on the door, motioning for you to join him and leave once again. You had looked over to your friend and waited for them to push their books off their desk so you could manage to sneak out. The professor had been too invested in what had happened to notice you slip out the door and into your boyfriend's arms.

You and Eddie had done this many times before, loving the feeling of adrenaline coursing through your entire body as excitement took hold over you, whipping past open doorways and teachers roaming the halls. Giggling, you watched your boyfriend run in front of you with his long and curly hair flowing about his face as the wrinkles around his eyes became more and more prominent with every smile he sent in your direction. His Hellfire Club T-shirt taunted you from afar and his metalhead denim jacket rattled with the weight of his various band pins and patches. He looked absolutely beautiful in this moment.

Noticing one of the classrooms approaching, you hurriedly pulled him back from the open doorway, taking shelter against the wall to try and stay out of view of every student within it. Trying your best to peer in undetected, you noticed that the teacher was on the opposite side of the room. Just then, you locked eyes with a concerned Dustin who was twiddling a pencil in between his fingers and staring at you with a "not this shit again" look. His baseball cap was slightly lopsided and a grin threatened to show on his face when he realized Eddie was with you.

You sent him a salute and then pulled Eddie behind you as fast as you could to escape the eyes of Dustin's classroom. It seemed as though you would make it out without suspicion but Eddie had to hit one of the lockers with his foot, which led to him falling to the floor and laughing.

"Eddie!" You whisper-shouted as you tried to show some form of discontent, but you were laughing too hard with him for it to come across as angry as you would've liked.

"Munson? What are you doing out of class?" Dustin's teacher appeared from her classroom as she took in the sight of the rocker on the ground holding his foot as a stream of giggly curse words left his lips. Standing up as fast as humanly possible, Eddie straightened his shoulders and put on the best serious face he could muster.

"I was showing (Y/N) where the bathrooms were." He said, trying to come up with an excuse on the fly.

"That was the same excuse you used last time I caught you out here."

Eddie struggled to try and come up with something else but then Dustin came running out of the room clutching his stomach and screaming.

"Mrs. Mundy! I'm going to throw up on- on- uh- everything!!!" Dustin screamed, grabbing onto her arm and puffing out his cheeks.

"Dustin! Do you need to see the nurse?!" Mrs. Mundy questioned with concern at her student.

You silently thanked Dustin and grabbed onto Eddie's shoulder, taking the distraction and running in the opposite direction towards the doors where Steve would be waiting with his car for the two of you.

"Actually I think I'm fine, it must've been a spur-of-the-moment thingy." Dustin said, shrugging his shoulders the minute you were out of sight.

You held Eddie's hand as you pushed past the doors and made your way to the familiar blue car parked out front with a familiar looking guy with big hair. He stuck his arm out the window, motioning for you two to run faster. And run faster you did. Jumping up the stairs to the parking lot and hopping in the car, you see principal Higgins walking outside, trying his best to catch up to the two of you.

"You can't leave! School's not over!" He shouted but to no avail as Steve readied his car and drove off so fast you thought the doors might fly off. Eddie was situated in the backseat while you were on the passenger side. Rolling down his window, Eddie flipped the principal off and laughed maniacally.

"Thanks for picking us up, Steve." You said, face beaming.

"Of course, I have to look out for my two little shits." He said, looking in his rearview mirror and watching the school fade into the distance.

"You got any Metallica on that stereo of yours?" Eddie piped in from the back with a hopeful grin.

"Always." Steve said, and put in a tape. The Smiths started blasting through the sound system of the car and he drummed his fingers rhythmically to the beat.

"You motherfucker I asked for Metallica!!" Eddie pouted and hit Steve playfully on the arm over and over again as he threw a little temper tantrum in the backseat.

Steve turned the volume up even higher and yelled over Morrissey, "I can't hear you!"

You propped your feet up against the dash and watched as your boyfriends argued over the radio. Oh well, it was better than sitting through another boring Chemistry lesson.

After Nancy is taken, the only thing you can do is lay your life on the line.....and play the most badass rock show the world has ever known.

⚠️ Warnings: swearing, blood and gore⚠️

Sorry I'm Late, Sweetheart.

The cold dark air rushed all around the five of you, snagging at your clothes and brushing your hair every which way. The ashen sky fell with literal ash and painted your clothes with the grey color, almost as a warning of how intertwined with the universe you were to be as you continued on with your weapons in hand. Your shoes scuffed up the ground of the once familiar Hawkins and the vines at your feet made it difficult to navigate without the fear of falling or becoming entangled in them. It was a dark day indeed, and everyone knew it. No one had the comfort of knowing they would make it out of this alive and that resonated with the silence that hung in the air and clawed at your skin; your bones becoming heavier and heavier as you trudged on with tears starting to form in your eyes- wondering if this was the last moment the five of you would share.

Your clothes and everyone else's had been tattered with the previous encounter of Demobats: pesky little things that would be the equivalent of a small demon dog. It had bit Eddie and Robin before they had been slashed by Steve and his axe which he had brought along with him in preparation for this fight. Steve had saved you guys many times, tonight wasn't an exception. He looked older now, a stark contrast from when he was the seventeen-year-old you had first met with his cute haircut and bright eyes. Now, he was filled with a sadness that seeped through his skin and wore out his features, his face a permanent expression of exhaustion and worry. Nancy wasn't too far behind, her face had worn itself out as well and bags were starting to form under her eyes. She was worried about the outcome of today and about Jonathan whom's safety she was always unsure of. Robin's lips were formed into a permanent frown and Eddie....Eddie was the most determined one out of all of you. Lines on his face creased with nervousness and fear as to what came next, but his eyes shone with a passion you had never seen in your life. He was ready. Ready to defend himself and his friends.

You slowly progressed up to where Eddie was walking leading the group and slipped your cold hand in his warm one. He didn't turn to look at you for fear that he would burst into tears at the idea of losing you, but he gave your hand a squeeze to which you did back to him. It was a calming gesture of sorts, and you could feel the confidence slowly coming back to you with having him by your side. His Hellfire shirt seemed like a tease at a life you missed so much: one that was filled with friends and mysticism that only existed in board games. You craved to have that sense of normalcy back; a time where you weren't forced to be a hero.

"Everything will be okay." You whispered, enough for him to hear you. His hair swayed softly with the wind and he chewed on his bottom lip.

"In case it isn't," he began, finally turning to you and you could see a single tear falling from his eyes, "I love you."

You felt your heart shatter. You were just a bunch of kids trying to make it in this world. It wasn't fair for your youth to be stripped away.

And suddenly, everything that was slightly calming about the situation completely evaporated the minute you turned around to check on everyone else. Eyes rolled back into her head and feet floating off the ground, Nancy was staring up at the cursed sky with her mouth slightly agape.

"Nancy!" You yelled, catching the attention of everyone else around you. Steve was the first to react by rushing over to Nancy and trying his best to bring her back down to the earth. Robin followed suit and grabbed one of her legs as she continued to ascend into the air. You and Eddie were at a loss for words or action. Steve had looked at you and almost in slow motion, he gave you the look of a panicked boyfriend even though him and Nancy had broken up long ago. He was terrified. And to make matters worse, there was no Walkman in sight.

"Music! What's her favorite song?!" You yelled, turning to Eddie for help only to realize that where he once stood was empty and he was rushing in the opposite direction. "Eddie!"

Eddie screamed out "I'm getting my guitar!"

With his shoes kicking up the strange otherworldly dirt and nearly tripping over seven vines, he ran faster than he ever had towards the trailer park in which him and his uncle lived. It seemed like a millennia ago, waiting for his uncle to come home from work and listen to Ozzy with him on the record player they shared. It was a fond memory, one of the only ones he had of his uncle that he liked to look back on, but he found this memory to be what continued to push him towards his house and to his guitar. Starting to sweat as he dawned the familiar woods that he used to smoke weed and hang out with you in, he threw off his denim jacket and pushed up his sleeves getting closer and closer to his fated destiny.

He threw open the door and practically fell into the trailer, slipping on the carpet that his uncle had insisted on keeping by the door so as not to track mud into his place. If only his uncle could see the mess now.

Eddie could see the portal back to his universe on the ceiling from where Chrissy had been taken. The vines surrounding the hole overgrown and cascading down all sides of the small living room and through to the bedroom and kitchen. They almost seemed to breathe, as if the entire trailer was alive rather than teeming with life. It was definitely a spectacle. The metal head thought to himself for a moment as he contemplated what it would be like to just jump back through the portal and be far away from here. To rid himself of anything Hawkins related and to relocate somewhere where he would never be found. It would be so much easier just to run away, to not have to be the hero everyone counted on him being.

But then he thought to you. And he quickly recollected himself.

Running to the bedroom, he saw his prized possession hanging up in front of his bedroom mirror, the only thing that wasn't touched by the strangeness of the Upside Down. The cheetah print red shine of the body called out to him and gave him a sense of purpose and time. The familiar strings he had played so many times brushed under his fingers and let out the softest hum of music. It was in tune. Just as he had left it.

"Sorry I'm late, sweetheart." He said, thinking back to the same words he had said when Chrissy was in his presence. He would've loved to be friends with her.

He grabbed the guitar and swung it over his shoulder, quickly finding the amps and power cords he had around his room. It was no easy task, but he moved everything to the roof of the trailer where he knew he would be able to play. He never imagined his first gig since leaving Corroded Coffin to be in another dimension, but he was totally digging the vibe. Cords, cords, and more cords were plugged in as he prepared himself to do the only thing he knew best.

Play music.

....

Nancy didn't have much time. The red sky loomed overhead which was a complete contrast from the familiar blue that she had just left. Everything that wasn't touched by the unsettling blood color was black. The vines, the trees, the ground. Victor Creel's house.

The mansion stuck out like a sore thumb amongst all the chaos of floating rubble. Its towers reached the sky, scraping it with its haphazard rooftops and shingles. The attic window was brightly lit while the rest of the house was pitch black, signifying where Vecna committed his acts of violence: terrorizing the town and dooming young teens to their deaths for what, Nancy wasn't certain. She remembers the lifeless corpse of Fred with his eyes sunken in and his limbs bent every which way. His scar was like a warning as it marked his face and his fate.

Nancy did a once-over and made sure she was okay. Her ribs hurt but it was presumably the fall that led to it. Her eyes burned and her veins jolted with the fear she felt in her entire body, matched by the adrenaline of the fight.

Suddenly, a figure loomed to her left as it joined her in staring at the front of the house. She didn't bother to look at it; to let it know that she was frightened. She wanted to put on a brave front. The figure was almost a foot taller than she was and she could feel the vines pushing out of the way for this being to walk. It's hot breath met her ear.

"It was such a lovely house." It said, making itself known. Nancy gulped back some of the fear she felt and allowed her fingers to nervously drum against the sides of her thighs. It was torturous just to be in the presence of Vecna as she knew how it was going to play out if the others didn't save her. Her body joining Fred and Chrissy, six feet under with a torso so bent out of shape they would have to create a custom coffin. The very thought chilled her to the bone.

"Why are you doing this?" She asked, sounding more scared than she meant to.

Vecna turned to look at her and moved towards the front of the stairs, backing her into a corner. It was such an odd juxtaposition; an evil entity with all the power in the world being so calm towards her, as if this wasn't her death he was about to bring onto her.

"I will end all your suffering." He said, slowly lifting up his arm which was adorned with long claws attached to even longer fingers, moving to touch her face ever so gently but piercing into her skin. She closed her eyes and thought back to the night she was at Jonathan's house.

The alphabet was horribly drawn into the yellowing wallpaper, Christmas lights surrounding the entirety of the house and illuminating the living room and writing. The lights were going off one by one as Will tried to contact them, using the letters to form short words and sentences. Steve had been there too, a bat with nails in it and a black eye from his fight with Jonathan. The two boys looked at each other and then at her as they awaited what was to happen next. Nancy held the weight of a gun in her hands.

When the wall broke in and a Demogorgon appeared, it had been Steve that had acted first. With his bat in hand and baseball stance, he had struck the demon over and over again, watching it bleed out into the ground from whence it came. Even then, he continued to strike the beast over and over just in an attempt to protect Nancy.

He had saved her then, and he would save her now. Nancy was sure of it.

"It's the final countdown."

All of a sudden, her thoughts were interrupted by a song that was so familiar and overplayed she wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness and throw up with the fear at the same time. Her mouth contorted into something of a smile as Vecna released his grip on her skull, forcing Nancy to the ground as she looked towards the red sky that was now blue towards the far right of the house.

Turning back on the ground and taking one last glance at Vecna, she locked eyes with the creature that looked more angry than anything else.

"Fuck you." She said, and started running towards the blue light.

The ground felt like water as she tried to run the fastest she could away from Vecna. The floating debris of the house started raining down on her, trying to stray her from her path. One from the right and then one from the left, sending her onto the ground only for her to get right back up again and run even faster than before.

"We're heading for Venus..."

Nancy followed the song and followed the light, losing her slip on shoes in the process. Barefoot, she raced towards the end of this nightmarish hell, bracing herself for impact if she were to fall again. Catching a quick glimpse from behind her, she saw the beast wasn't too far behind.

"And still we stand tall..."

The silly tune guided her to the end of the light where she finally made out of the red portal and back into her body. Feeling a surge of motion sickness, she felt herself fill her body once again, feeling like the little pills with sponge dinosaurs once they hit water.

Dropping from the sky, she fell back into the arms of Steve, who was ready to catch her from the beginning. He held her closely, brushing stray strands of hair from her face and taking in her frazzled state. She was covered in dirt and there were scratches on the sides of her face that he swore hadn't been there before.

"Cause maybe they've seen us...and welcome us all, yeah..."

Eddie's music blared on from the woods, louder than anything they've ever heard. The Demobats started to fill the sky in search of the sound, rushing through the sky and towards the trees. You stood frozen in place as you watched them head towards your boyfriend. Looking towards Robin, she gave you a smile and tilted her head in Eddie's direction.

"Go save him." She said with absolute certainty and you felt yourself running towards your boyfriend before she even finished getting the words out. Your shoes made heavy stomping noises as you ran faster than you ever had in your life in hopes of making it in time to warn Eddie and beat the swarm together.

As you neared the woods, you saw his jacket lying on the ground and you picked it up, throwing it over your shoulders and running up to his residence, seeing him shredding his guitar and head banging like you had so many times when seeing him play for Corroded Coffin.

"Eddie!" You screamed, jumping up the ladder and racing to his side. He was so lost in the song, he didn't even notice you had joined him up on the roof until you grabbed one of the other guitars he had brought up there.

"Hey! What are you planning on doing with that?!" He asked over the music.

"Oh shut up! You have another one at home!" You said, preparing the guitar like a bat.

"You're such a badass!" He said as he finally gave you a smile since getting mixed up in the affairs of the Upside Down. The Final Countdown ended and Eddie took a look at his guitar, his most precious thing in the universe after you, of course. Giving a swift kiss to the body, he held it out in front of him and mumbled an "I love you" before he readied it like a baseball bat, same as you.

"Here they come!" You said, watching the Demobats fill the night sky and coming rushing down towards the two of you.

"This is the most heavy metal thing I've ever done!" Eddie yelled and then the two of you started beating the bats with the guitars, throwing them down onto the ground and the roof as you hit them over and over and stabbed them with the broken pieces. Eddie dropped his guitar and bit off the head of one, watching the blood spurt out onto the equipment that was now useless. You crushed one of the bats in between two of the amps and watched the blood spurt out and fly everywhere, coating your clothes in it. It would be a miracle if Eddie would be able to wear his Hellfire Club shirt again after this. Just then, two more bats came your way at full speed.

Eddie moved in towards you after finishing with his bat and pushed you off the trailer, holding you in his arms to stop the fall. He watched the bats get confused and continue to fly forwards in search of you as he pulled you up off the ground and rushed you into his house.

Locking the door and barricading it with everything in his sight, you both sat on the ground next to the couch to keep out of sight from the windows and to catch your breaths. Everything happened so fast, it was surprising that you two had made it out of that situation alive. Looking at your boyfriend you saw a couple cuts along his face and arms and you grazed his skin gently.

"Eddie. I saw you bit the head off a bat. You totally had your Ozzy Osbourne moment." You said, giggling slightly.

"(Y/N). That was singlehandedly the coolest moment of my life." He said.

The two of you made out on the floor of course.
