Streamer!HarringroveAU where Steve is the cosy, lo-fi, save space, chill streamer with mostly games like Stardew, Minecraft or other chill indie games and Billy usually plays something like these loud shooters or horror games, in his brash but open and painfully honest dickhead -self.

One day, Steve got coherst to play "Spooky's house of jumpscares", by his viewers because it "looked cute". Billy came across it because he just finished it and suddenly the fanbase overlapers want to see a collab, both think it would be funny so they do it. And it was fun. So did it more.

Thier dynamic? Billy, the flirty loudmouth LEROOYYYY JENKIIIIIINS!!!! and Steve, the level headed, calm enabler who giggles along and flushes easily. And the people are VERY quick to pick up and call the brunette a bottom- as is on twitch. Billy also pick's up on it and starts making jokes about it which only make Steve flustered. And so it goes on, Steve dreamily giggling at Billy's annoyances in the slow paced idle games and Billy flirtatiously flustering Steve whenever he got jumpscared in phasmophobia or something. And of course we can't forget Billy's nicknames, that give Steve the title of bottom in their fandom.

Both their cam backgrounds change at some point, and they seem to have moved in together, shown in their social media. Going outside together and everything. Fans are speculating, writing fanfics, drawing fanart and the whole bunch. And when asked about it, Billy just laughs, while Steve mentions he's only got one pet pieve with them, but won't elaborate what it is. They never confirm but neither denie the dating allegations outright. Until.....

Billy was streaming a round pubg and got really agitated to the point, that when Steve appeared off screen to bring him a sandwich, Billy yelled at him. Steve's face was off screen, the viewers have only seen part of his side and his hand, that flicked his headset off and grabbed his hair to pull his gaze upwards.

"...what was that, William?" And the blonde just instantly calms down, but instead shudders and gasps, then begins to grin bashfully and bites his lip.

"Sorry, I got mad at the game. I didn't mean to yell at you." The brunette pulls a little making the other draw in a sharp breath but giggle slightly... Until he remembers again, that he's live and the chat explodes. Steve just chuckles and lets go, leaving a completely fire red and sputtering, trying to explain himself, Billy to their hungry-for-details audience.

005. boba gone right 🌿 written!

“You’re gonna be fine,” Tighnari’s voice came from the couch. “He said he’s okay with being on stream, right?” He asked. You nodded.

“Then it’s fine. Stop pacing or you’ll wreck the floors.” You knew he was right, somewhere in your busy mind. But you were nervous. You hadn’t had a new friends over in a long time. Once you’d found your friends, you’d stopped branching out. You didn’t need to, you had all you needed. But then you’d met Kuni. New friendship was scary territory, and you think you were handling it well—you know, like a liar.

“You didn’t even lay these floors, motherfucker. I did.” You’d spent hours laying new wood planks with Beidou soon after you’d moved into this apartment. Tighnari had sat and watched and made comments if things didn’t line up. To him, that was the hardest job. Only he possessed the eye for perfection, or whatever he’d called it.

“I’m the only one who respects them, clearly,” he shot back. Your hand slipped, and a finger flipped up. Tighnari rolled his eyes.

“Does Kuni know you suck?” He asked. You added a second middle finger to your cause. “Fuck you,” Tighnari spat as he flipped up both of his middle fingers.

A knock at the door made you pause. Tighnari turned to look and sighed as he pushed himself off the couch.

“I think that’s for you,” he stated. “I’ll go let you stream, holler if you catch something on fire.” Tighnari turned and walked down the hall to his room and closed the door, leaving you staring at the door, forcing yourself to breathe normally. You’d cleaned everything minutes before Kuni showed up, and you’d even changed into less blobfish inspired clothing. This was as good as it was going to get.

You pulled the door open. Kuni stood on the other side, mask already over his face. He must’ve taken public transit over.

“Hi, Kuni, come in!” You pulled your door open and he stepped inside. He took his shoes off and slipped into your rack of freshly cleaned guest slippers. A good purchase, honestly. “You’d spent hours can put everything on the counters. We’ll get everything ready before we start cooking!” He nodded and crossed the room to your kitchen. You’d recently redone it, with Beidou’s help, and the green cabinets seemed to add a new layer to the otherwise quiet apartment.

Kuni placed the bags on the counter and began taking the supplies out. He’d insisted on buying what you needed, because he wanted to make boba the “right” way. Whatever that meant. You were happy to let him. Grocery shopping had always been stressful for you, so letting someone else do it was a treat.

“What kind of boba does your fuckass roommate like?” Kuni asked. You couldn’t stop the snort that shot out of your nose.

“He likes matcha.” You thought it tasted like dirt, because he never added sugar. You’d once seen him eating the powder raw at 3 AM, but you weren’t entirely sure if you’d imagined it.

“That makes sense. Green seems to be a theme.” Kuni gestured to your cabinets.

“I chose those, actually! Green’s my favourite colour, and the landlord said we can do whatever we want with the space since we’re saving up to buy it one day!” You explained. Kuni nodded, but you could tell he approved. He didn’t talk as much as you did, but that was fine. You always said that you talked enough for the both of you.

“Green and purple go well together,” he remarked as he finished setting everything up. You nodded and smiled, placing your mobile stream setup on the counter.

“It’s go time! It’s your last chance to back out!” You teased, your finger hovering over the START STREAM button. Kuni chuckled and leaned in, stealing your hand from you and clicking it himself.

“None of that pussy shit,” he remarked as your chat started pouring in. No starting screen, just you and Kuni in your kitchen.

“Hi, everyone!” You greeted your 200 viewers with a smile. “We’re making boba today! And I have a friend with me, too! He’s not comfy showing his face on camera. If I see anyone, and I mean anyone, try to doxx him, know you’ll never be welcome here. Doxxing is illegal!” You pointed an accusing finger at the camera. You turned to Kuni.

“Okay, you’re good to come on now,” you spoke softly. Kuni nodded and stepped into frame. His mask and hair covered most of his face, and the baggy hoodie he wore only added to the mystery.

“This is K!” You’d both agreed that he’d use a fake name to avoid people trying to find him. You, as a content creator, could only do so much to protect him, and you intended to do even more. “Say hi!” You teased. Kuni gave a wave.

You chuckled at your chat and shook your fingers as similar messages kept pouring in.

"You're nasty, all of you," you scolded. Kuni snorted as he added the tapioca starch to a bowl. "Okay, chef, what's first?"

"Wash your damn hands," Kuni grumbled as he pointed towards the sink. You giggled at the way he pitched his voice down. He had he was worried people would link his voice to any videos on his social media. As much as he admired your streaming, he didn't want to get into it himself.

"Okay, okay," you sighed as you turned on your sink and let the water warm up. Behind you, Kuni shook his head.

"Should I be worried?" He asked your chat. You'd done cooking streams before, always with a trusted adult (Beidou) to supervise.

Kuni nodded and hummed in approval.

"I can do that."

"Do what?" You asked as you returned to your spot beside him.

"Be patient," he explained. You couldn't help but laugh. Kuni turned to look at you. "What are you laughing at?" He asked.

"You're not patient. You broke a pencil sharpener yesterday," you reminded him. You could see the tips of his ears turn red.

"That was one time," he assured you and your chat. You shook your head. He was a natural at this, knowing when to turn back to chat and when to shift his focus back to you. Multitasking king, truly.

"Then prove me wrong," you teased as you bumped your hip against his. Kuni turned his face away as you doubled over in laughter.

"You're awful," he said.

"I know."

kuni: streams under the alias SCARA bc he wants to keep his stream life separate from his personal life. second year astronomy major. cares for his friends but never shows it. mainly plays pvp and horror games, swears constantly.

kazuha: third year literature major. doesn’t stream but constantly appearing in scara’s streams. fans simp for him to scara’s dismay. got scara through the worst years of his life, his ride or die.

ayato: fourth year business major starting his own business and streaming the process. pretty privilege personified. student council president, too busy with school. always has the best advice but no one asks.

tighnari: third year botany major, currently tutoring (name). the one who hates streaming but does it for the money. productivity streamer mostly but also games with the crew if asked.

cyno: criminology major, aiming for policing. hates police. streams lethal company exclusively. is there for vibes. mod in all his friend’s streams and does NOT hesitate bitch.

mualani: first year marine biology major. works at a local marine life conservation centre. streams most nights and is the designated “comfort streamer”. only member to attend cons. also does educational streams about sharks and irl streams.
