Omg all of this is so.....just so true. My dad and stepmom never trusted my brother and I, they'd give us hell just for the stupidest things like "Oh you didn't go outside? You're grounded for a week, not electronics, no door for your room. In fact your punishment shall be doing squats in a corner while reading a children's book about lying" and other things like that and it'd always be for the stupidest shit ever. I hated it and eventually left cause it was causing so much hurt. They'd say they were doing this cause they loved us and wanted better for us but it sure as hell didn't feel like it.
When you want to cut your hair but you are too afraid ask your parents or cut it yourself because there's a fat chance that you'll get kicked out

Dad: why did you put this dish in the dishwasher! You know better than to be careless and put something in the dishwasher that doesnt belong in there.
Dish: I say "dishwasher safe". Of course they put me in the fucking dishwasher!
parents will be like 'why do you never tell us anything' but when you try to tell them something they get pissed off and shout and dismiss it,, and the dots just don't connect in their heads??

Growing up with really strict parents is crazy, man, because why do I have to teach all of my friends without strict parents how to lie and keep a secret? Like…girl. 🤨
