Aside from the recent episode in which the subtext of the brothers relationship was acknowledged…

…. Wincest has been around on SPN for quite some time.

Sam and Dean know people out there ship them together

There are conventions with discussions of the “homoerotic subtext” in the Winchester story

Wincest fanfiction made it onto the screen

And even the real life and fictional creators of the story of the Winchester boys know the subtext is there.

So let’s take a look all that subtext.
