tips for adhd witches!

[[before you expand: LONG text post!!]]

I got diagnosed only a couple months ago, but I have been practicing witchcraft for a little bit now. So in retrospect, here is stuff that I realized I have been doing to cope the whole time, and some new things I'm tinkering with :) Please feel free to leave your own tips or thoughts!

At all costs, avoid promising gods and spirits that YOU WILL uphold a rigid routine.

Just do not promise to give daily offerings! JUST DON'T DO IT. If you struggle with upholding a regular routine, do not promise gods or spirits you will uphold a routine for them. You should only promise things you are confident you can deliver. ((If you identify as a beginner witch it's my personal belief that you should not be promising anyone anything.))

Delete from your mindset that all witches are supposed to uphold rigid routines.

Give yourself breathing room: if you want to give scheduled offerings, maybe do one on the full moon. Or, plan it to coincide with other activities that interest you, and that you're likely to show up for.

Unless you have a few hours a week to devote to your practice, you should probably not be dedicating yourself to doing daily anything.

Rigid routine is not the only way to get regular experience with magic, build relationships with gods or spirits, or improve in your craft! You simply do not have to promise yourself or anyone else that you will do X actions at Y times.

Instead of having "do X for Y minutes on Z days" routines, try developing a streamlined ritual you can fit in anywhere for the really important stuff.

Maybe there are some really important things in your practice that you want to do on a regular basis. Maybe these are things like:

Quick personal shielding

Acknowledging and honoring spirits

General offering

Prayer for guidance

Instead of saying "I'll do shielding for 5 minutes every day after breakfast, then of course my offering ritual-", you can put a streamlined (short, easy) ritual together where you do all four of these things at once.

Deep breaths, acknowledge and honor the spirits, ask for assistance in raising a shield, offering excess raised energy to them, and praying for guidance in the upcoming task.

It should take maybe like, 2 minutes tops.

Then, slot this streamlined ritual in before most practice activities. Like:

Before other energy work

Before divination

Before spellwork

Or, use it as a sort of 'generic' access point of connection and perform this ritual:

When you shower, to calm down from the day

When you're on transit to prepare for the upcoming day

When you're feeling grateful and want to share the moment with the spirits

When you're feeling sad and need support

Instead of forcing important actions into routines that may be hard to follow, find a way to carry these actions around with you in an accessible ritual, like carrying snacks around in a bag. This way you can use other exciting activities, or other life events, as a reminder to practice your ritual of important things :)

Build a clear system of omens for yourself. Omens can intrude on your daily life and get your attention.

Maybe you have alarm blindness, forget to do divination, forget to check in with spells - so asking for omens can be a huge help. They are spontaneous messages that catch your eye. Helpful!

Research cultural omens

Research omens in your magical tradition

Journal and brainstorm personal omens

Write out, for yourself, a short list of personal omens.

Solid black pigeons mean a spirit wants attention. Seeing your favorite tree species means a spell was successful. Three gray dots means a spell failed. The scent of cinnamon buns means fortune is headed your way.

Perform a ritual announcing your chosen omens to the Powers That Be. Invite those Powers, Yourself, Life, the Universe, and Everything to send you true, accurate, and helpful messages through these omens.

Working with omens in this way is a skill that evolves over time. Your personal omen system will evolve over time if you use it. Think of it as another form of divination!

(Tip: Combine symbols with colors for an advanced system that's easy to remember. Oak trees are prosperity, but black means slow movement, red means powerful, and white means failure. After a spell you see a plumbing truck with a red oak tree logo; powerful prosperity. Etc.)

Build all your spells, rituals, and everything with the foresight that you are probably going to forget about it or not return to it for a long time.

Employ foresight and:

Encode retirement/shutdown functions into your spells!! Do you want the spell to burn out completely and leave the vessel hollow so you don't have to deal with the vessel later on? Specify that! Do you want the spell to go to 'power saver mode' and hibernate so you can save the vessel and recharge it later? Specify!

ENCODE OMENS INTO SPELLS TO REMIND YOU TO TAKE ACTIONS! "This spell brings me financial benefit, and when it runs low, I will see my omen of slow growth - a solid black tree."

Assume that you are going to completely forget that you're able to take care of this problem, so encode the spells assuming you will never remember to deal with this again:

Spell for people that will remember they want to deal with Monica (they will also be working with wards, divination, and subtle cunning): "Stop Monica at the front desk from assaulting me with her dark energies, or else limit how much of her energy can reach me."

Spell for people that are going to completely forget this is an issue they can take care of and won't do another spell on it for maybe 18 months: "Stop Monica from assaulting me with her dark energies, or reveal to everyone in the office her dark nature, but if neither of these things is possible, change something in the office so that we never interact again."

Assume you will forget about individual spells, that you will accumulate way to many spells than you can individually attend to, and that you may never take final steps like cleansing and deconstructing old spell vessels.

Build a spellcasting altar, or a spell recharging altar, where you store up all your vessels. Recharge them all at once, as often as you remember to.

Poor plan: "And when this vessel runs down I will recharge it with the waxing moon as I stand under the orange tree-" More tenable plan: "And when this vessel runs down let it drink energy from my altar; let it take up any energy that suits it; let it feed on what is available to it, according to its needs."

Focus on learning how to tie spells to external energy sources so they will stay charged for way longer.

For easy deconstruction, set blanket conditions for every vessel that it be undone and the magic erased if you take a simple action. This is called a kill code. You bake it into spells and it makes deconstruction way easier.

Try developing a barbarous word of undoing and using it every time you want to undo a vessel or a spell; this word will gain power and can become very helpful in other ways.

Once again, plan spells with the foresight that it will be difficult/unlikely for you to re-engage for formal deconstruction procedures. So, anticipate your future needs during spellcasting: "And if I ever open this jar and take out the things inside it, let this spell be released and return to the earth, let it fade away without trouble and nourish anything around it as fallen logs nourish the forest floor." This way, you know that if you accidentally forget about a spell or just take it apart, the magic already has instructions to safely dissipate and you don't have to worry.

Develop a visual language to remind you of what collected objects and spell vessels are.

This folds in real nice with a personal omen system!!

Use a combination of colors, established symbols (planetary, alchemical), and personal symbols to develop a visual conlang that helps you keep track of what things are.

If applicable, decorate or modify spell vessels so you can tell at a glance what the spell is for (violet symbol of Venus next to a paw: a spell to improve relationships with the spirits that help you with psychism)

Build a system that makes intuitive sense to you, perhaps folding in with your color correspondence associations, magical headcannon, or any other mnemonic device:

All the spells in jars are protective

Everything that's tied into a witch's ladder is about prosperity

If it has a red X on it, that's a hex

If it has a 7-pointed star, it involves your dragon guide

If you store it in a bag that has blue on it (blue print, blue button, blue tie-string) then that object is related to cleansing

Your personal visual language will gain its own power over time if used regularly, in the way that egrigores or sigils can gain power if used consistently over time :) It can become a real magical tool, not just a mnemonic device!

During spirit work, just clearly communicate that your sporadic presence has nothing to do with your dedication 🤷

When you conjure/talk to/pray to gods, spirits, or anything, address the fact that your communication/rituals/etc ARE going to be sporadic. Explain yourself and ask the spirits to extend understanding.

Some spirits/gods/etc are going to demand regular routine. AND IF THEY EXPECT THAT, then you guys need to get on the same page ASAP as to whether or not that's possible.

Spirits can be incredibly forgiving and understanding, but unless you tell them why you are sometimes around and sometimes not, they do not necessarily know what's going on.

Your spirit guide may have not read the DSM-5. Obelon the Fox-Man might not be up-to-date with the 2025 diagnosis criteria for ADHD, and Obelon might not recognize that you are struggling with a disorder that can mimic inattentiveness. Obelon might be asking why you appear to be so enthusiastic, and yet only call for him once every 5 weeks.

Just explain!! Explain what you are comfortable explaining. Give them reassurances and ask them to not misinterpret your ability to be present.

At all costs, avoid making your path a carrot that you dangle in front of yourself to try and force yourself to fix your brain through sheer force of will.

If the way you talk to yourself about your path sounds like someone struggling with unhealthy dieting, maybe it's time to readjust.

"I just need to do my daily offerings, on schedule, for two weeks. Then I will have earned researching tarot spells."

Maybe it's not a good idea to intentionally include witchcraft in a cycle of reward and denial that will ultimately drain joy from the process until your passion is a withered husk.

Witchcraft isn't going to force your brain to change any more than Stardew Valley was going to force your brain to change. Or that time you got super into succulents. If your time spent studying wool quality in heritage European sheep breeds didn't cure your disorder, witchcraft won't either.

Witchcraft, I think, deserves to be something that is a part of your joy - not a part of a system of stressful attempts at making yourself into someone you're not because "real witches" all do such-and-such routine (I assure you, they do not) so you must force yourself to do it too.

(Incidentally, if you have a 'streamlined ritual for the important stuff' and it becomes a barrier that prevents you from practicing, then maybe that's not a good idea for you - or maybe it's not as simple and streamlined as you need it to be)

STOP trying to build a static path. Lean into temporary hyperfixations.

There is SO MUCH to learn in witchcraft. It's never-ending. The more you learn, the more doorways open for you with more things to learn behind them.

This is not college, you do not have to declare your major. You don't have to wait to decide on your 'magic specialization' before you start learning.

This is not college, you don't have to take semesters of boring general ed classes before you're allowed to start studying what interests you.

Unless you are getting into very serious initiations, learning stuff, advancing your skills, and building your path is not going to shut doors and prevent you from getting into something else.

If something excites your interests, GET INTO IT! Don't force yourself to ignore what you're passionate about because you think serious, responsible witchcraft is supposed to be rigid, boring, and tedious. (It isn't!)

Avoid declaring your major. As in, maybe the idea of energy glamours is super exciting, so on day 1 you create a lesson plan that will realistically take you 70 weeks to complete. Based on your history, is it reasonable that you will maintain this specific interest in glamours for over a year?

Avoid making lesson plans that intentionally slow you down and make shit boring for no good reason. If energy glamours interest you, are you (*scrolls up*) using energy glamours as a carrot to force yourself to engage in a tedious magical workout routine? Is the reason the lesson plan takes 70 weeks because you decided to spend weeks slowly moving through each phase so you have time to spam energy work exercises?

You know yourself better than I know you. Maybe wanting to slow down and engage in your focuses in a new way is the goal. Of course, listen to yourself first!

But if you have a temporary burst of energy and focus to learn a new skill, and learning that skill won't require you to make unhealthy personal or financial decisions, why not just lean into it and explore it moment by moment, wherever your interests take you?

I think you'd probably learn a lot more doing and undoing 20 glamours in a week, because you're freaking out about how fucking cool it is, than if you practice 1 basic glamor exercise once a day because that's what real disciplined witches do, and then 11 days later you forget it once and never do it again and now your interest has faded because glamouring is just another boring chore.

Invest some time and energy into figuring out exactly what your bare minimum of responsibility and upkeep actually is.

How often do you need to recharge your wards to keep them functioning normally?

Once you've explained your own needs and limits, how often do your spirits actually request offerings?

Are you 100% sure the spirits you're working with expect offerings in the first place?

Are those offerings expected to be physical, or do thoughts and prayers suffice?

How often should you perform a personal cleansing to keep yourself feeling magically refreshed?

Feeling anxious or guilty over whether or not you're supposed to be taking certain actions is NO FUN.

It is much less fun if you don't actually know how often you need to do these things. Then it's just all guessing, all the time, and nothing is ever good enough.

If at all possible, avoid putting yourself into a situation where you feel that you are supposed to be doing something responsible in your practice, but you're never sure exactly what it is.

Spend some practice time, learn some skills, and make notes, to discover whether or not you do have any minimum engagement requirements in the style of practice you want. And most importantly, having clear 'deadlines' so you don't have to keep guessing at what you're forgetting about this time.

In composite chart, Mars in the 4rth house, most of the time, is not a good placement to have because the home or safe space in the connection is hindered and disturbed by Mars's force and brings a sense of instability and feeling unsafe around the other person.

The couple will have arguments and fights often. If the couple get's married, it is most likely to end up in a split because Mars brings anything but peace to this house, because the 4rth house rules the home. There will be power struggle between the couple and there can also be abuse and control.

Natal Earth placements with Water placements are good at singing, especially slow and sensual songs.

In one's Natal chart, wherever Scorpio and Pisces signs are seated in your chart are the areas of your life that you have the most depth and interesting incidents taking place. I have noticed this in SO many of my friends Natal charts where whoever had Capricorn Moon in their chart always wanted their mother's validation. It's like they are always trying to make their mom proud of them or get validation from their mother by doing as many things as they can for her.

I have also noticed that these are the natives whose mothers are very tough and kind of emotionally reserved. They are very hard to impress and are very protective of their children.

Wherever Jupiter sits in the Natal chart is the area that is expanded and enlarged to infinite, so the native will have infinite potential in that area. The native will always look to study and expand that area no matter how much they have grown in that area.

EXAMPLE: Jupiter in the 9th house makes the native very very wise and philosophical in nature. The native will love to study anything and everything, the curiosity comes to them naturally. The native will most definitely indulge in worship of deities, Astrology, philosophy, and studying different cultures. The native will also be interested in travelling.

In the Natal chart, Pisces stellium natives are born with poetic hearts and emotional depth. They are very much in touch with their emotions and can be sensitive to their surroundings. These natives also easily get emotionally dependent on their partners.

I have noticed so many people who have Mars dominance in their chart usually have an asymmetrical face while Venus influence in the chart and Venus dominant individuals have symmetrical faces.

Natives with Taurus placements in the natal chart love desert foods. I have noticed this in so many charts where my friends who have Taurus and 2nd house placements love deserts a lot. They also like expensive food and dry fruits.

Natives with prominent Ceres in the Natal chart will always have a fleshy body, they cannot become lean easily and tend to have good healthy body mass.

Moon dominant men are very very charming in nature. They have this natural magnetic pull that attracts a lot of attention.

In traditional Vedic astrology, the avatar of Moon is Sri Krishna and Sri Krishna is known as the God who naturally charmed everyone around him and he had many women (Gopika's) drawn towards his magnetism and charm.

Strong Jupiter influence the chart makes a person so so damn fun to be around!! I'm not even joking. This is because Jupiter also rules entertainment and devotion so Jupiter dominant individuals end up being extremely entertaining, like funny, goofy, all of that. They can light up a room so easily with their welcoming and warm nature.

These natives are not reckless per say, they are both a reliable advisor and a fun person to be around. When you need them as a supportive shoulder, they will ease you with their wise words and philosophies and when you need fun in your life, they are always around for that too!

They get a fan base very quickly because people see them as inspiration of what they wanna be like. These natives are very philosophical with their lives as well, they understand pain and problems more than cursing it.

Although they can be a little mean towards those they do not like or feel like they can mingle with. These individuals are very intuitive as well, they understand people through vibrations and spiritual perspectives.

These natives also usually end up being all-rounders, they are good at literally most things you throw at them, be it dancing, singing, teaching, a sport, etc.

Natal Mercury in the 5th house individuals are really good at mini art, like really detailed artwork and they are quite artistic in nature. They are poets, painters, and creators in so many ways. These individuals make really good authors.

Natal Mercury in the 12th house natives are termed commonly as the "Dumb" placement. Okay, I can agree that Mercury actually loses it's best qualities in this house.

Why? The 12th house is a house completely disconnected from anything connected to the 5 senses (touch,see,smell,hear,taste) in this material world, and Mercury is based on most of those senses, like speaking, touching, and our nervous system which is connected to all those senses, etc.

Mercury in this house cannot function well because this house forces all those 'seen' senses to become 'unseen', like telepathic communication, Telekinesis, Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, etc. It's like the house is shutting Mercury's mouth up and asking Mercury to use his mind more and thus Mercury is frustrated to be in this house.

This does not make a person DUMB per say but in fact makes them innocent when it comes to being a part of this world. They are the type of people others can easily take advantage of. They do not know what is genuine and what is not.

Yes, they do take time to learn in academics but they are wonderful learners, you'd be amazed with their way of viewing life and how they try to decode the world. A 12th house Mercury only wants someone to listen to them and what they have to say.

A lot of times their ideas and views are dismissed even before they open their mouth, hence they usually choose to listen more than they speak. They have the most curious minds and their minds are deeper than the entire Sea.

Anyways, so...Men feel extremely caught off guard when they notice you, like turning their head twice to see if they actually saw what they just saw lol, it's like they be thinkin' "Did I just see that??? daumnnnn". I also just got that opening dialogues in the song 'Rock my world' by Michael Jackson where his friends are just checking out this lady and Michael Jackson says he can get her so they challenge him, but the point I'm trying to get across here is that men can be doing this with their friends when they see you too, whether the guy approaches you or not is besides the point but men see you as a prize they wanna win, like someone who can't be won so easily. They also see you as someone who is sort of hard to approach.

I'm getting the message that men see you as a literal Star and I just heard, 'a Shooting Star'. Men are quite confused by your energy too because they find your energy both calm and composed and very chaotic or all over the place at the same time when they see you. But they often see you as this grounded woman who only settles for something serious and must not be taken granted of. Men see you as someone hard to tie down or catch, like a butterfly. They see you just like a person would look at the wings of a butterfly, with the kind of beauty that one can't stop admiring or observing. Aristotle said, "What do you mean? Forget about the ocean being empty; even the hole is not full. How is your job done?" The other man stood up and said, "I am trying to empty the ocean into this hole with a tablespoon. You are telling me it is madness. But what are you trying to do? Do you know how vast this existence is? It can contain a billion oceans like this and more, and you are trying to empty it into the small hole of your head and with what? With tablespoons called thoughts! Please give it up. It's utterly ridiculous."

The other man was Heraclitus, the other great Greek philosopher. In a flash, he showed Aristotle what a crippled existence he was leading by attempting to extend his logic to every aspect of life. If you want to know the experiential dimensions of life, you will never know them with the petty process of thought. Even if you have the brain of an Einstein, your thought process is still outclassed because thought cannot be bigger than life.

Thought can only be logical, functioning between two polarities. If you want to know life in its immensity, you need something more than the intellect. This is the fundamental choice you have: either you learn to live with creation, or you manufacture your own creation in your head. Which option do you want to exercise? The planet is spinning on time: not a small event.

All the galaxies are managing fine; the whole cosmos is doing great. But you have one nasty little thought crawling through your head, and it is a bad day! The problem is you are living in a psychological space that bears no connection with reality. And you are insecure, because it can collapse at any moment. In the vastness and grandeur of cosmic space, if you look at yourself in perspective, you are less than a speck of dust. But you think your thought-which is less than a speck within you should determine the nature of existence! You have lost your perspective of life: that is the basic problem.

You have heard of the "Buddha." His name was Siddhartha Gautama, and he became a Buddha. But Gautama was not the only Buddha. A human being who has transcended his intellect, the discriminatory and logical dimensions of his life, is a Buddha. Human beings have invented millions of ways to suffer. For all this the manufacturing unit is just in your mind.

Once you are no longer identified with your mind, you are free to experience life beyond limitations. Being a Buddha means that you have become a witness to your own intellect. The essence of yoga, as we have said before, is just this to arrive at that moment where there is a clear space between you and your mind. Once this happens, a life of heightened clarity, perception, and freedom has begun. This is the birth of freedom.

Dear Pile 2's, have you had a good childhood? 🙇🤔 Because there is a strong emphasis on your inner child here. It's showing me a weak link between you and your inner child. It seems like you feel deserted in some way, like you have no support, or you feel alone despite having others around you. There is also some plan or action that you are not taking a leap of faith on in working towards here. Your energy is very strong, like an eternal burning flame but you choose to offer that to people who don't bother blowing it away.

The moon is very significant here. You are not alone. That's what the universe wants to acknowledge first. You are being called to pay attention to your health. You may be over giving a lot, and your energy is getting drained out causing your mind and body to not function at its best. You may be depending on others a lot to keep your inner light burning bright but that is not helpful for you.

I heard 'A flame is at its brightest in the dark' so it's okay to shine even if no one's recognizes you for it. I feel as if you are the kind of flower that blooms in the dark when no one is watching. You are very strong as a person, and you've fought through so many battles in the dark when no one even knew you were struggling. Your energy is literally coming through very strongly here although it is very messy too.

You have been treated so badly as a child and abused in many ways, growing up, mainly verbal abuse which has now damaged your self-esteem and your link with your inner child. Your inner child feels trapped in your body as if its caged.

Did you have a missing or absent father in your life, my pile 2's? When I say missing, I mean either physically or emotionally, because if yes, that has contributed greatly to your search for a father figure in every man you meet which only leaves you disappointed in the end. I see you have been the child in the family who has been the most taken advantage of and ridiculed even. You can have an emotionally unsupportive family which has made you the person you are today.

A person who's afraid to speak their truth in the belief that they would loose all the people they have left, in their. The universe is asking you to nurture your inner child by doing everything you wished to do as a child. Be it building kids legos or watching SpongeBob squarepants. I'm also getting this message where the universe wants you to pamper yourself, take those relaxing bubble baths with little candles and drink wine in the bathtub while watching a movie on your device, reading a book or just you know, relax. If you do not have enough time for that during the weekdays, try doing it once every week during the weekend.

If you do not have a bathtub, you can maybe take a nice relaxing shower with the music on and just dance away. Try doing Karaoke at home, even if you are not good at singing, just for fun. Redecorate your room, just the way you like it, in a way where you would always feel so much better just walking into the room after a tired day. Get creative with yourself and your ideas, try new dressing styles is what I'm hearing for some reason.

Maybe you love various kinds of dresses and you do have the potential to style yourself like the diva that you are! (Even if you are a guy👍) So do it! Style your outfits the way you like them. Set your inner child free by doing inner child healing first.

If you are someone who is very hard on yourself just imagine this in your head: Your younger self (say a very small child) approaches you and cries about a problem they are going through, even if it's going to be childish, would you look at her/him and hurt them even more? Or would you do anything you can to make her/him feel better? Imagine your little self whenever you are going through something because our of everyone, you are the first person who needs to be there for that kid (yourself).

I see you love music too so the universe wants you to get crafty with your taste in music. Also I'm hearing messages asking you to start listening to spiritual music like Buddhist chants or even divine instrumental music because that is actually very good for yourself and can really help you have a more positive energy. There are some things you hesitate to take action towards but the Universe urges you to take that leap of faith and trust yourself the most.

The universe is also urging you to introspect more and understand your true desires in your life, not the ones that shift according to situations. I also heard 'Dont settle for less' so you can be someone who just accepts what they're being offered, no matter how little it may be so don't do that, you deserve more than that!

The universe wants you to heal what has been yearning for your nurture and love for so long, Your inner child. I have no idea, literally NO IDEA why the Universe is telling me this but please drink milk. Strengthen the bond that's weak between you and your inner child. I just heard 'mend the bond' which is a dialogue from the Disney movie, 'Brave' which is very unique to have showed up for you because in the movie, Mereda feels controlled by her mother so much to the point she visits a witch to help her change her mother but a mishap takes place turning her mother into a Bear with a curse and by the end of the movie Mereda realizes the value of her mother so she stitches back the heirloom her mother made and yeah, you can go watch the movie, definitely will help since your inner child needs to feel more active and happy in you. But the point is that You probably have a weak link with your mother which has affected your inner child now and it's your duty to mend the bond that has been impacted here, with your inner child. Oh, also, Bears can be your spirit guide.

To Rule or to Serve?

Human beings have no choice but to act. That is the nature of our lives. But the two alternatives before us are just these: Do we want to rule or do we want to serve? Now, I don't mean perform service in some self-conscious, holier-than-thou way. When I say serve, I mean an act of immersion, not conquest. Every human being wants to have an impact upon the world, but how you leave this impact is the moot point.

Do you think you are incapable of being a despot. Most people want to rule the world. It is just that because they are half-hearted that they end up ruling only their households! They may not have the capacity, the intensity, the one-pointed focus that is necessary to rule the world. But secretly they wish they could. What makes a tyrant different is that their self-image is powerful.

They might believe so strongly that they are going to rule the world that sometimes it almost comes true! This is something many human beings have yet to discover from themselves: that if they create a continuous mental focus towards a particular self-image, it will, in fact, come true. There is however, another way to create. It does not entail asking for anything, or even thinking about what needs to happen.

Here, things just happen as they needed. No forethought, no plotting, or scheming is required here. Once you choose this approach, all you need to do is actually with tremendous intensity, without wavering for an instant in your focus and determination. Then, one day, you will reach a point where no action is needed. You are capable of acting, but you are not compelled to. You choose to engage with life, but you are no longer entangled by it.

This kind of action is possible for everyone. But before you are ive at this state, some fired-up action is required. People who have never been on fire will never know the coolness of water. People who have just lived their lives in a lukewarm, half-hearted, sedate manner can never reach a point of transformation. Those who have never known intense action will never be able to move into inaction.

Their inaction will simply be lethargy, apathy. Only the person who is capable of being immersed in work knows the true meaning of rest. This is why at the Isha Centres, as I have said before, you will find many residents engaged in unstinting nonstop work. They are not working to achieve something; it is simply single-minded, choiceless activity. They are doing it because it is needed, that's all.

You will see after rigorous immersive work that there is suddenly no intention left in you to do anything. Now the real spiritual process unfolds. Only if you have known intense action will you know the bliss of inaction. Once your energies get to a boiling point, it is very easy to transform them and make your life happen in the most harmonious way possible. That is the whole purpose of Karma yoga.

This is also the science of creating a truly amazing being. This is how one who serves is created. This power is immense, but it is not the power to rule. The power to rule is not a rule power, because it can be taken away at any moment. The power that we are talking about here is a power that cannot be taken away. In whatever circumstance or context such a person is placed, there is only one thing they will do.

Those who seek to rule can work only if they are on their throne. If they are taken off the seat, they become miserable. But those who choose to serve will be undeterred because they are not obsessed with the fruit of their action. If they are in hell, they will do the same thing; if they are in hell, they will do the same thing. According to Buddhist lore, Gautama the Buddha said he would rather serve in hell than go to heaven because, anyway, he was incapable of suffering.

That was his freedom. This approach releases you from attachment to the fruit of your action. Now the action will happen by itself; it will also dissolve and melt away by itself. You do not have to stop working to be liberated from action; it will happen anyway. You do not have to do anything about it.

It happened.

In a Zen monastery, there lived a master who was more than eighty years old. Every day, he worked his heart out in the gardens—a time- honored part of Zen spiritual practice. He had been doing this for years. Now he had grown old and weak, but he refused to stop his work. His disciples tried to dissuade him. "Don't bother with this anymore, Master," they said. "We are all here. We will do it." But the old master wouldn't listen. His physical abilities had weakened, but the intensity remained the same.

So one day his disciples took away his gardening tools and hid them somewhere. He hunted for them in vain. That day he did not eat. The next day, again, his tools were missing, so he did not eat. The third day, no tools once more. He did not eat. Now his disciples grew afraid at his refusal to eat. The next day, they replaced the tools in the gardening shed. That day, the old monk worked and ate. In the evening, he gave his teachings: "No work, no food." And that night he died. The four days of fasting had weakened him considerably.

But his teaching was succinct, and he delivered it before he died: no work, no food. Now, wherever you put such a man—heaven or hell—his action will remain the same. When you are like this, you are released from the vagaries of the external situation, from the cycles of karma. Merely closing your eyes won't achieve this. Merely running away and sitting in the mountains won't achieve this.

The moment you open your eyes, the moment you return to the marketplace, reality will some and catch up with you. Karma has to be worked out, but engaging with action with great involvement and intensity, without caring a hoot for it, is the most effective way to work your karma out. There are various ways to do so. You could be so drunk with blissfulness that nothing matters, or you could fall so deeply in love with someone that nothing matters. Only if you are in states of bliss or love can you work intensely and still not to be bothered about the result.

Dear Pile 3's,

I immediately sense that you either commit too much to something, even when it is failing or you struggle a lot when it comes to committing to something, mostly when you see slow results or none at all. Okay, but I do get that you also don't appreciate your own efforts in life and see your achievements as "Not Enough". You are a warrior, I have to tell you that! Whew! You do fight a lot of battles, and you do go a long way when it comes to being tolerant towards situations and problems, but you do it all with/without too much dedication or not enough dedication.

It's like you will fight for it but if you don't want to anymore, you're just gonna back out suddenly which can hinder a lot of things in your life, mainly your mental health. I just heard 'School kills artists' so I am getting that you are born very artistic but you lost the touch after school and you may have not liked going to school much of at all.

I am getting that you have piled up a lot of unkept promises and messy karma from your past and the universe is urging you to resolve them, work it out with people whom you have hurt intentionally or unintentionally. By work it out, I mean set things right and apologise, even if you guys are not going to be speaking to eachother after.

If someone has hurt you badly on the other hand, don't hate them or pray for their downfall, just leave it to the Universe and forgive, even if you aren't Jesus. When you hate, it means you have been defeated. The universe is urging you ft find your true life purpose otherwise there is no use being a warrior because the Universe says without a true purpose, manifesto or oath, the Warrior is lost.

Write down what you stand for unwaveringly, what are things or people you cannot ever give up in your life? What are traits and qualities that you most definitely ask for in connections and your no-no squares? Write it all down so you have a perfect understanding of what you truly want in different areas of your life so you don't just settle for anything.

You are someone who has thoughts that really down play your own dreams and ideas so instead of looking to defeat your enemies, look to defeat that voice in your head. Once you defeat the enemy inside, no one outside can do any harm to your mind.

Also, learn to appreciate and celebrate your achievements and victorious survival through struggles more, even if you are celebrating without anyone around because the Universe celebrates them with you. You are as tough as a mountain man! and here you are, seeing yourself as a mere stone that can be kicked around in this populous world.

I see you are quite clairvoyant and intuitive yourself, like you can understand the energies of people and you do get premonitions a lot, I heard. You have this circle of light inside of you that the universe wants you to channel, more, like a strong glowing light that can help you radiate more and have a more strong presence in the room.

Right now, you are like a poet, drunk in emotions, dreamy and full of fantasy in your head, it's like you live better in your head than in reality and I feel like you are quite lost in this world too. The universe, although, wants you to become more than just a dreamer, they want you to become a sustainer, to sustain that beauty you have in your mind than let it die out with your routined life.

I also get the message where the universe wants you to read more poetry or admire art in general. You are very artistic in nature, even if you doubt it, take Piccaso for example, he says a true artist is a child so get into it, paint, even if it's silly as hell. Make a list of all the things and hobbies in your life that truly sustain you and never get out of touch with them. Always water them and nurture them.

I also heard 'pottery' so yes! Take that pottery lesson buddy! Create with your hands and admire your work. Start getting into pottery and painting because you have it in your to be the best artist there is. I also heard 'Ground yourself. Touch some grass' so yes, take nature walks more often or spend more time in nature, have a picnic with yourself like a Solo Date and just ground yourself.

Your energy does come off quite messy and all over the room so maybe clean up your room and tidy things up, look at the clouds and draw the images you see on paper. I'm also getting that you are someone who is very uncomfortable with change, especially in relationships. You want everything going smooth and perfectly but then something comes up and just disrupts your energy and mood completely so that is one more reason why you should ground Yourself more and begins journaling.

Journal your thoughts and just let all your emotions out on the paper. Take few deep breaths every time you are in a state of anxiety and take that nature walk. Nature is a man's best medicine.

Overall:

Hunt down your fears and just surrender to the universe. You have a very strong ego, I must say, but the universe wants you to trust that they always do what's only best for you. I'm also getting that the universe wants you to take up lessons on whatever it is you want to learn and even if it's not taking lessons, research and study new things that captivate you. Especially they want you to get more into Shadow work.

Also the universe wants you to know that your fears are only there to indirectly show you how much you value something or someone in your life.Your spirit quide can be the Horse. Learn to receive more than you give. You are someone who is very generous and kind towards others in general but the universe does not want you to take shit for no reason, in fact, they want you to stand on those high heels (or Shoes) and kick some ass! Lol. What I meant is stand up for yourself buddy.

The universe wants you to go wild with your desires, I mean who gets a say about what you can want if they have never contributed to anything in your life!? Like go do what you gotta do buddy! You are the Queen/King! You can do whatever you set your mind to and the universe is urging you deeply to let yourself free from the chains of expectations and other people's opinions of you. Chase those dreams and just do what you love.

Stop inviting Death

If avoiding death is avoiding life, dodging life is inviting death. For most people, if life becomes unpleasant or burdensome, then, knowingly or unknowingly, they start dodging life. Once you start dodging life, you are invariably inviting death. There is no better method to dodge life except to invite death. Either you do it consciously or you do it unconsciously. One major contribution to the multiple, complex ailments that you see on the planet these days is that people are trying to dodge life and, in the process, are inviting death. The body is only cooperating with this.

The body is just fulfilling your desire to invite death. Ask, and it shall happen! People are trying to avoid life because they think it is unsafe. You should know that the only safe place on the planet is your grave. Nothing happens there. There is no safety in life itself. Like I said earlier, tomorrow morning you may be dead, no matter how much security you create for yourself. I am not wishing you this, but it does not matter how healthy you are, how well you are right now, tomorrow you may be dead. It is a real possibility.

So there is no such thing as security in this life. The moment you start seeking security, naturally, you become death-oriented. Unknowingly, you will seek death. In India, it is tradition that whenever you see a sage or a saint, you should not miss the opportunity to get their blessings. So many times, people come to me and say, 'Sadhguru, please bless me that nothing should happen to me.' Really, what kind of a blessing is this? My blessing is that let everything happen to you. Let everything that is life happen to you.

Have you come here to avoid life or to experience life? If you want to avoid life, I have better technology than inner engineering. If you want to avoid life, all it takes is 2 metres of rope to hang yourself from the ceiling. And it is not expensive either! I am talking of efficiency; when alive, to try to avoid life is very negative. Our aliveness is a very brief happening but we shall be dead for a very long time. So taking one's life is not really an option. This happens by mistaking the psychological drama for the existential life.

The moment you think of security, you are assisting death. I want you to know: death does not need your assistance. Death is super-efficient. On the other hand, life needs your assistance. If you notice, whatever you do with life, no matter how much you do with life, there is still something more you can do with it. Life needs more attention and efforts. Death does not need your support. It will anyway happen and it will happen with absolute efficiency. There is no failure here, as all shall pass. People think nothing new should happen to them, but they want an exciting life. How is this possible?

This is a no-win situation you are creating for yourself. What can happen to you at most? At most, you will die. There is nothing more that can happen to you. And whatever happens in your life, you did not come here with an investment. You came empty-handed. You cannot lose in this life. See how wonderful it is! Whatever happens, you are still on the profit side, so what are you complaining about? This happened about ten years ago. At that time, the stock market in India was going down. Some people in Mumbai brought a man to meet me.

It seems he was initially earning Rs 250 million. Then he took a beating in the stock market. In about eight months' time, he was worth only about Rs 30 million. Now the man was broken, depressed and wanting to commit suicide because he had only Rs 30 million. He was in a bad state, so they wanted me to help him. I thought this was funny because, for many Indians, Rs 30 million is more than heaven.

If you give an option between heaven and Rs 30 million, they will choose Rs 30 million. But this man is depressed and wants to commit suicide because he has only Rs 30 million! This is not just about him; you are doing this to yourself all the time too! Let new things happen to you. If you create this kind of nothing-should-happen-to-me situation within yourself, you will become stagnant. Stagnation is death. If life does not move on, if new possibilities don't arise within you, you are living dead.

This is the reason that even when nothing has gone wrong with people's lives, you can see so many long faces on the street. For most of them, life has worked out far better than they ever imagined. Materially, we are all living much better than our fathers and grandfathers did. But still there are those long faces on the street. This is happening not because something has gone wrong. This is because of stagnation. You cannot live with stagnation because this is like living death.

Being 'living death' is a fantastic experience but to be deathlike when alive is horribly painful. If you are alive, it is wonderful. If you are dead, we are not bothered about you. There are too many dead people walking, which is why there is such misery on the planet. They were all bright and alive at one time; now, slowly, they are half into the grave. Yes, with time the physical body will deplete. That is why if only psychological and physiological processes are in your experience, if the right things are done about the life process, then you will not deplete with age and rather become greatly enhanced. So it is only life which must be constantly cranked up. There is no need to invite or practice death, because death does not need your support.

Dear Pile 4's,

I am getting a lot of songs in my head for this pile, so you guys really really love music huh. That's nice. I'll provide all the channeled songs in the end since you guys love music a lot.

Immediately I feel like you can be the middle child or the eldest child in your family or even a single child, even if it's not, the reason I feel that way is because of how much pressure and responsibilities you have had on your shoulders ever since you were a child. It's like you were forced to be adults at a very raw age. The 'born adults' pile.

I do have to say though, you all carry this weight on your shoulders with such grace and you make it look so easy to handle. You all remind me so much of that character in that Disney movie, 'Enchanto' whose name is Luisa Madrigal, regardless of your gender. She always portrays herself as this strong and independent person who can carry on any kind of weight without any effort but when she starts losing her powers, she freaks out internally, not knowing who to talk to while she still puts on a mask, pretending everything is okay.

That's actually the first song I got in my head, 'Surface pressure' (I'll provide the video at the end). The universe wants you to loosen up and not suppress your emotions anymore. Journal your pain and what you feel like you really need to release. The universe wants you to share your pain with a friend or family member who you trust. Don't burn yourself out if you can't do that task any longer. Relax a bit.

Yes, there's a lot of responsibility on you and a lot of activities need you in it but take that short break in the weekend maybe. Take a vacation and just give some excuse that can really convince your boss or whatever, you need that breather. I see you have a lot of duties and promises to fulfill that's why you are so hard on yourself and worked up about so many things, but have you ever just asked yourself what do you want to do FOR YOURSELF? 😕 Not for anyone else. What do you want to do with your time? How do you want to expand your ideas and your hobbies? You are A QUEEN/KING, I have to tell you that because the crown is heavy for the weak and you carry it so well, with such beauty, in spite of going through so much 😧.

I don't know, why but you all also remind me of Elsa from Frozen because she has so many duties which was just thrown at her by fate and she is not understood by anyone in her life so she just wants to be left alone because she believes she's no good for anyone and that she's a pain in the Ass but we know that's far from the truth, you might be like that as well. You are not a burden bestie, you are a real gift to whoever is in your life❤️. I see how you are the kind of person who just wants to be the best and prove to others that you are capable of handling anything you are given.

The universe sees how much blood, sweat and tears you've been putting since you were a child, and they want you to start acknowledging your true desires instead of heavily sacrificing them for mostly those who don't matter in your life or hold less to no value in your life. What do you feel the best doing? What do you wish to receive in return for your service? Where should you put your foot down and stop letting people take your service for granted? Yes, you all are built with the strength of a mountain but there's a cave you crave to cover up deep inside you.

I cannot emphasis enough about how much weight you carry on your shoulders, I'm literally feeling so upset right now, it's like you just don't deserve all this😮‍💨😖. You deserve to be helped and appreciated enough. You all are being asked to let go of things that are out of your control as well. I feel like you are quite the perfectionist too and the universe is telling you that not everything can be perfect, in fact imperfect is the real perfect.

The universe is urging you to share your responsibilities, it's okay to ask for help, Be it from a friend or family member. I feel like the universe wants you to be more loving and softer towards yourself as well🫂. You treat yourself like the way teachers treat soldiers training in the Navy, have you seen it? The teachers are really hard on the students there. You are only human after all, not a machine🤷🤷‍♀️.

The universe wants you to acknowledge the void that continues to grow inside of you. What can you do to make yourself truly content and destroy that void? The universe wants to take a stern step in asserting your rightful position that you deserve in your family or in society. Show them who's boss bestie! 😤 Cuz they have no idea who they're messing with..you deserve to be respected and admired for who you truly are. Those who think otherwise? Kick their ass goodbye cuz you got no time for toxicity bestie, you are not bossy, you are the boss.

OVERALL:

The universe wants you to be as kind and loving towards yourself as you can be. Don't stop yourself from buying what you want. Don't stop yourself from sharing when you feel uncomfortable or offended. Don't hesitate to stand up for yourself when you are literally making life easier for others to live while you take on so much on your shoulders. Buy yourself donuts and waffles (I heard). tips on bonding with a forgotten god 👍

so, you want to attract some long forgotten (or newly created) spirit with no reputation. honestly, i'd label this kind of unsafe and risky, but i did it, so i'm not gonna stop you if you really want to. just keep in mind that, while attempting to contact a forgotten god? you're gonna run into other stuff. this is essentially reaching your hand into the spiritual mystery box and shaking it around, and some of the stuff that lurks down there is bitey. here is my obligatory tread with caution first, put up wards against anything malicious etc etc, but realistically. i can't stop you.

general forgotten god bonding tips:

keep an energy of openness about you. just broadcasting a general thought of "hey, i'm here, and i want to talk to you." they listen. if they want to talk to you, they'll find a way.

look for reccuring signs in your life. humans like to find patterns in everything, but look for a sign that affects you on a large scale. a lot of these signs can be found around big changes or life events. ask who that random streak of strangely specific good luck or that weirdly occuring motif or that time you almost died but didn't belongs to! sometimes, you'll get an answer. other times, it's just chance, which, there's nothing wrong with that either.

talk out loud to "any spirits who may be nearby." i used to do really vague wide spells like this by saying that exact phrase, and it works for drawing them in or warding them off.

communicate with them. communicating is huge. talking is huge. they'll tell you a lot about themselves if they're chatty and want to foster a connection with you, although some will be harder than others.

I've been unable to stop thinking about this since yesterday, and by doing some research I could gather some valuable info and understand some things i was mistaken about.

TL;DR: Intuitive tarot and claircognizance

Generally, the mechanics and method the game portraits is Intuitive Reading rather than fortune telling, where the reader uses intuition mostly instead of logical meanings, letting the energy do the story telling. This explains why sometimes the answers the game provides some answers that I don't think resonates with the card draw entirely, or it goes beyond what I'd think it means

Having a name to research about is so great because this is what i want to test with my craft, when i used to read, i heavily looked into meanings in books rather than just go with the flow, afraid to get it wrong, my intuition only came into play to connect the logical dots, decide on the structure or explore the cards i already knew best. It's a flaw of mine, the fear of making mistakes, so i tend to stick with the instructions more than necessary, rationalizing things too much.

It worked, I can't deny that, but it prevents me from developing whats most important: my senses. Talking of senses, i researched into clairvoyance briefly and can say the one that i feel wothin is claircognizance (man does it feel good to have a name for something i could only try to describe before).

Claircognizance, in my case, often manifests as little things that i know will happen before they actually do, and i have extensive memories of different occasions when i felt this happen: once in middle school, when a music instructor asked for a volunteer, and i raised my hand knowing I'd be the chosen one (i was); feeling my valorant match was doomed even when we had a large advantage (i was so pissed); knowing the word someone I'm listening to will use before they say it; my gut feelings were always rarely wrong, when i just started studying witchcaft and in our first trip to nature i actively searched and found the twig for my magic wand; knowing some people are not trustworthy/not liking someone for apparently no reason and they happen to be a jerk; choosing the right answer without a clue, just because it feels right, or knowing I'm picking wrong because it just feels odd, very different from a blind guess;

Having a feeling that i should deep dive a random subject, no matter if i never heard of it before, because it feels like it has the answers to the storm on my head.

Thing is, i never thought this weird phenomenon and tarot could be tied together, to let this little sentient voice in my head overthrow the basic words on the tarot book guides, i thought differentiating one known meaning from the other was enough, relating them to other knowledges were enough. Just passing the message ahead without much disturbance. But i feel it's not anymore

This is absolutely not an excuse to drop tarot study and just go around spitting feelings, no, it's an opportunity to boost my knowledge so i feel confident enough not to open a book and make sure it's right, trusting the feeling is enough.

Not only that, claircognizance sure played a huge part in my abilities to pick up the cues Hekate has given me up to this point, to read and understand Her signs, to know if She's pleased.

The more i look into it the more i believe this won't be just a mere test with tarot, but maybe a step up on my slow going studies, a way to make tarot less "square" for me and effectively introducing it to my routine (as i should, a long time ago)

If everything goes right, my blog will undergo big changes, i usually like to rebuilt accordingly ;)

When i started this blog, even if i wanted to stick with the guidance tips tarot i was taught, many people came to me asking things about their future and not much insights about themselves, and that made me so nervous because, obviously, i didn't want to make a wild, ambicious prediction and it be wrong, to disappoint the requester, nor did i want to bring the bad news. So to avoid it, i was the first one to bland it out and make it not a big deal. The grain of salt.

It is wise from a point of view, one's future is theirs to make their own, but constantly telling myself "I can't go too far" might have limited my own intuition power.

Of course a game is but a game, it is scripted and has the limitless of fiction, however i do firmly believe there are talented, gifted people out there that can predict the future through divination magic with precision unmatched (oh, the stories i heard), but it's something wlse entirely, much harder to believe i could be one of those.

Even if i am unfortunately not very constant with my tarot craft, because it doesn't pay my bills and all that, i do feel a strong connection with my decks and the things i learn through the little sessions and readings every now and then, therefore trying out a new thing could be doable

When im not in tune during a session, my cards kinda "refuse to work" until we fix the vibes, the question, etc, and when everything is aligned it flows with incredible accuracy and meaning. I never "predicted the future" per see, however many, dare i say most, of my readings sooner than later came to be true, the ones i had been close to watch it unroll, so it might be possible to channel that energy into something similar, bolder.

The more i think about it, the stronger is my feeling to dive into this possibility, because i know if that's something my decks are not okay with, they will give me the proper queues, leaving my on read, so back to insightful readings it is.

Just like i do with my hair, a little bit of experimentation will not hurt anybody

My idea is to go deeply into bold fortune telling, let my intuition go wild, align it with my current knowledge (and future, because that's never too much) and allow myself some creativity freedom, read the cards with my third eye and present the consultant with very different outcomes one might never have considered an option.

About Hekate's insight, this month i admit to have failed my duties more than other months, it got me a little sad, because it's partly due to work and rest routine that I'm terrible at organizing. But during one of my hunting sessions for games to relax, I came to find that game by paths i usually don't trail (navigation wise) and played the demo that instantly made me purchase the whole thing.

I have reasons to believe Hekate lead me to it, silently with a few odd clicks, just the way She initially lead me to tarot years back, with a simple instagram ad (an opportunity to take the first step, after many days of me pondering about it). The game, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, has a beautifully written script, nice game mechanics, pretty art and designs and wild interpretations of Witchcraft, a great piece of fictional entertainment watered with valuable pieces of basic information Witches should know about.

This totally wakened my senses, as i said, sadly not constant with tarot, i felt intrigued with the mechanics and possibilies, and after lots of research on the matter, my conclusion is yes, fortune telling could be possible for me, if im brave enough the flourish it.

Like the game protagonist, I'm a bit scared of what may come out of this, seen like i had a very turbulent past that made me insanely afraid of what the future holds (cough cough ptsd cough subject for another day), this can be a healthy way of helping deal with it.

I shall make a briefer post later, but my idea is to reopen tarot requests, making it explicit that this is a beta testing fortune telling kind of deal.

Although i feel strongly Hekate is the one once again showing me the way, i feel like gathering some additional sources to aid this possible journey, and read more into Apollo's devotes and their experience with clairvoyance is on my list, maybe i might be blessed with His dodgeball gift of prophecy red ball in the face, so if any of Apollo's fortune tellers, messengers or followers have any tips regarding prophetic matters I'd love to hear about it!
