            melodramatic  would  be  far  too  nice  a  descriptor  for  maxime's  current  condition,  sprawled  on  the  small  couch  in  his  office  that's  more  or  less  become  his  bed  these  past  few  months.   he  keeps  the  door  locked,  but  he's  clearly  losing  his  mind  because  the  knob  turns  and  the  door  screeches  open.  maxime  sighs,  rubs  a  hand  over  his  face,  and  pulls  himself  into  a  slouched  sitting  position.     "     have  you  come  to  laugh  at  me  in  my  miserable  state     ?     better  that  it's  you  than  some  sorry  junior  agent  that  does  not  knock.     "
