First panel of the comic: Nya is standing closer to the camera, with Kai standing close behind. They are both in ninja suits, seemingly in the midst of a battle. Nya's face expresses a look of horror, as she says, "Jay...?" Kai then notices her current state.
A panel shows Kai's hand placed gently on Nya's shoulder. The following panel shows Nya, still horrified, and Kai, making eye contact with Nya to express reassurance. Kai says, "Let me go after him. It's my turn to beat some sense into that idiot." Nya is unsure at first, stuttering, "But I- you..."
A panel shows Nya looking away, understanding what must be done. She says "Alright. You'd probably fare better against him, anyway." Kai smirks under his mask, then says "That's my sister. Promise you'll only come by after you and the rest settle this fight?" Nya answers, "...Promise." Kai replies, "Good."
A panel shows Kai walking away from an ongoing battle, with Nya watching him as he goes. Nya says "Be careful." It fades into the next panel of Rogue(Jay) looking into the distance, his back facing the camera. The next panel shows his head turning towards the camera. The following panel shows Kai shooting a flame towards Rogue, which the latter narrowly dodges.
A panel is split in half, the left showing Kai in a fighting stance and the right showing Rogue standing unfazed. Rouge says, "Oh. It's one of you ninja." He continues, "Where's the blue one? What was it, Nya?" Kai sneers, "You don't have the right to say her name, traitor." Rogue replies, "Right." The following panel shows Rogue again, his eyes obscured by the 'hat' on his head. Rogue says, "Then you are...? Pretty sure the Master of Heat wasn't a grown man. New recruit of theirs?" Kai, off-screen, shouts, "WHAT?!"
A panel shows Kai seemingly irritated, with his hand pointed towards himself, yelling, "I'm one of the OG, you hear me? O.G." his speech bubble extends to the following panel, saying "You know!? Kai, the Fire Ninja?!" Next we see Rogue with his eyes widened in surprise. In the following panel he says "Wait- you're Kai? The Kai?" Kai is now confused, replying "Uhh, yeah...? I just said that-" The following panel, Rogue has his hand up and his brows furrowed, saying, "You're lying." Kai replies, "Why would I be lying??" Rogue answers, "Then explain to me why blue girl was the one throwing 'I love you's to me!" The next panel Kai has his head tilted to the side in confusion, saying, "Because she loves you?? You're her Yang! What kind of question is that? And you still didn't believe her after she said all that? You know how rarely she ever says 'I love you' ??"
A panel shows Rogue frustrated, his hands on his head. He says, "I don't- Arggh- you're the same as the damn rest! Don't tell me you also forgot everything except the last 2 years of your life??" Kai replies, "What are you talking about??" The following panel Rogue answers, "YOU! For whatever reason, you're the only person I remember. That instant need to prove your worth- cocky, lovable personality- UGH!" Kai stands still, utterly confused, all he can say is, "What..."
A panel shows a close up of Rogue, eyebrows still furrowed, saying, "YOU proposed! Shouldn't you be the one begging for me to come back? I've been waiting for this. Unless- unless you're also lying. Under that mask- you're just pretending to be Kai, aren't you?" Kai cuts him off, shouting, "Stop saying that!" In the following panel he continues, "Look, I'll let you take a gander." he says while taking his cowl off along with his mask. Next, he stands ready, his face covered in sweat, completely revealed. He continues, "Then you'll see how sorely mistaken you are- Nya's your Yang, not me-" Rogue cuts him off, saying "Shh. Shut up."
A panel shows Kai wide-eyed, only able to spout a confused, "Huh?" In front of him is Rogue with his hat gone, as he closes in on Kai. His finger inches towards Kai's face, as he says, "It's really you." Kai then says, "What are you-" In the next panel he is abrubtly cut off with a hug. Rogue holds him tight, saying "Where have you been? I need you." Kai looks at Rogue.
A panel shows a close up Kai's eyes still widened, his gaze no longer towards Rogue, while still being hugged. Rogue continues, "I'm yours. maybe you've already moved on, knowing how many years it's been. But I don't know, and I don't care." Kai tries to cut in, "Jay-" But Rogue continues, "Just, please, don't go. I can't count on anyone else but you. Don't leave me." The following panel shows Rogue's hat on the ground, his and Kai's shadow looming in the corner.
