if you guys AT ALL enjoy using the internet whether it's for news, entertainment, or communication purposes there is a bill floating around right now that has a good possibility of being passed that will influence the way we ALL use the internet. this bill is called KOSA and it presents itself as "kids online safety act" but in reality it is and will try to sensor SO much important information out there about LGBTQ+, POC communities, feminism and women's rights, and so much more. the bill targets mainly people under 17 but this bill will affect adults too. your favorite social media and websites will become highly cleansed from anything the government deems as "dangerous" to children online. one of the ways they are trying to ensure kids aren't accessing content that is "dangerous" enforces EVERYONE to upload private information or a photo of your ID to access social media apps and websites. IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT PROTECTING FREE SPEACH ON THE INTERNET AND THE WAY WE USE IT TO COMMUNICATE PLEASE HELP ENSURE THAT THIS BILL DOES NOT PASS.
CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS TO SHOE THAT YOU DO NOT SUPPORT THE KOSA BILL.

I feel like I should know more abt Texas
Proud to be a Texan woman, you say? Proud that you have to bleed to death in a perfectly modern parking lot in 2025? Proud that your vibrator/dildo collection could land you a felony and prison time. Die in agony from a man's sperm, but be punished severly for an ounce of pleasure because you are a woman. It's very obvious men here legally hate you, and you think that's a badge of honor. Must be somethin' in the water?
This is why it is so important to go out and vote. We can't have people like this in power who think it's ok to take away the rights of others, just because they're ignorant or appealing to their base.
If you live in Texas and it is possible for you, vote this November. We need Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton out of power.
I'm unable to vote due to my age, but I still want my rights as a trans teen to be protected.
Today the governor of Texas released an official statement directing Family and Protective Services to investigate families of transgender minors on allegations of child abuse (with the intention of separating trans children from their families). It includes a “duty to report”, directing those who know or suspect the existence of a trans child to report it.
This is not a law, nor is it technically actively enforceable. But it is an official statement by a governor that WILL cause real consequences. It also emerges from all of the OTHER anti-trans legislation in action.
30/50 U.S. states are currently proposing legislation against the existence of trans minors (or sometimes people up to 21 years old).
As a trans person who transitioned as a minor in one of these states, I’ve been fighting against these laws for years with little to no news coverage. I am begging for people to care about this. These laws prohibit access to gender-affirming care, accuse families of trans minors of child abuse, jail doctors, and prohibit trans people from playing in sports. Some of these laws have already passed. Some are going to.

So apparently in my part of Texas there will be a full lockdown where you can only go out if certified for work or getting groceries. It's official, Plague Inc has become reality. Thanks Corona! 😑

For me, living in Texas right now is like a dying relationship. I love Texas, I've lived in Texas my whole life, and as I grew to be who I was always meant to be, I also grew to realize that Texas didn't return my love. Texas doesn't love me the same way that I love it, Texas' love is conditional, and the best thing I can do is try to go live somewhere else in a state that loves people like me. Because as much as you love someone, you can't force yourself to stay with someone who doesn't love you, who just tolerates you, and who, if you didn't know any better, is trying to get you to leave without having to directly break your heart. Texas has made itself clear that it doesn't love me, so my plans for my future are now being made without Texas in the picture. There are things about this state that I love and will miss, but I have to prioritize my own will to thrive over the little familiar comforts Texas has given me in my life. I wish it would give me what I need, but I guess Texas doesn't believe in what I need. Texas doesn't love me back, and I can't force it to.

Texas is overrated. These streets reek of homelessness, some dude tried to follow me until I have him stuff. Sad how many people are on the side of streets….Maybe I’ll post about that?
