Okay, so as time has unfurled it’s come to my attention that “The Idol” was a set up. They shot at The Weekend’s home, that’s why there weren’t many sets. It felt wonky because we were just watching music videos for The Weekend…this is getting to be too much for my wobbly heart to take.

No no no NO! “The Idol” could’ve been directed by a WOMAN until The Weekend got his grubby little man hands on it and disliked its “female perspective”? Gold to lead, I guess :/

I kind of feel like “The Idol” got a bad run. The finale showed how engaging it could’ve been if the project didn’t make smut its number one goal. I’m obsessed with getting inside looks at the rich and famous through dramas like “Gossip Girl”, but I wish The Idol explored other aspects of fame as opposed to…The Weekend…

Me watching the ending of the idol wondering what was the point of the beginning part of the last episode if she was going to let tedros up on stage.

This show has so much great points and they are all dashed on the floor like wtf.

So all that growth and shit for nothing...no character growth???

I can't be the only person that watched the idol thinking it seemed very much like cult indoctrination right???

From the first 2 episodes alone, it feels like the protagonist is being punished and for what? It really feels like it is about a weak woman that is 'saved' by a man that knows the show industry better than her. He quite literally sent Diane to be her friend and set up the circumstances for he and the mc to meet. Like...ughhhhh

I have never hate watched something so boring in my life. It has potential, it is visibly great but omg.. its being thrown away to focus the the weeknd and his lame character.
