But it’s about Gideon asking Harrow if she’s angry at her for sacrificing herself, and Harrow tells her YES and she can’t help God (by extension her parents) making her strive towards Lyctorhood, making her make herself into a graveyard of souls, but God won’t get away with his crimes again.

Sort of happy with this, sort of not? I really enjoyed the composition and sketching part, but the shading feels off. Nonetheless, I wanted to have all three in one drawing!!

Question - is the ‘saltwater creature’ that Teacher calls Alecto part of the reason Harrow’s parents decide they can only discuss the Ninth House secrets bathing in saltwater?

i think gideon the ninth is the funniest possible series to modern au-ify. modern au palamedes in a trench coat and turtleneck whipping out his macbook and finding out the secrets to being a lyctor by going to the second page of google
I keep wanting to mashup roots of chaos and the locked tomb, mainly due to lesbians and my brainrot. But my main points are just necromancer Dumai and cavalier Nikeya, necromancer Ead and cavalier Sabran (although people tend to think it’s the other way around at first glance), Kalyba being locked up à la Alecto but also giving people hallucinations bc she can. And you know - Harrow is the Queen of Inys and Gideon a sister of the Priory who was sent to protect her but absolutely hates it

Nona asking Cam what Pal thinks is sexy, and her saying “strong work ethic and high test scores” only for him to later rush into the room and answer “those little outfits nurses wear” is a perfect alignment of the two as characters
Alecto is just the ultimate Barbenheimer experience. She’s a hot apocalypse barbie doll, she’s the personification of billions of souls and their emotions, she’s God’s worst nightmare. She’s got a giant sword. She’s insane.
