The Lost Hero au where everything is exactly the same except Piper never had romantic memories of Jason and Leo cause he thinks he’s joking about not remembering makes the joke that he and Jason are in love and definitely dating and then no one ever feels the need to clarify that he was joking and Jason spends the entirety of the book thinking Leo has memories of them dating and Jason’s having a crisis while Leo doesn’t even remember the joke.

read a fic the other day that talked about Leo’s fire “eating at him” and it makes sense . if you think about it . percy , he controls water , but not water he produces , water from around him . jason does the same with air . Leo doesn’t control fire around him , he takes it from his own body and manipulates it . no WONDER he isn’t all that great at using it in combat + has low stamina with it . he produces the flames , himself . Percy and Jason do half the work he does .

You know,in the Lightning Thief Annabeth takes Percy's hand for reassurance ( when they were in the Underworld)

In the same way,Jason takes Piper's hand in The Lost Hero for reassurance (when they were at Boreas' palace)

I just find interesting this coincidence

So, some of you think that leo needed to be more ANGRY? And FERAL? And needed to go berserk AND needed to vent out on his crew mates for them being in a relationships and stuff? You know what I think? NO. A big fat NO. here's why? Leo had to see his mother DIE at the age of 8(which is why he had every right to kill Gaea and he did) had to run away from foster homes like a zillion times because, he had abandonment issues, had no friends, slept in sewers. And when he finally has a reliable group of friends, a FAMILY? you think he'd go and destroy that? Just because he doesn't have a "love interest"? NON of us would do that don't lie to me. We live on crumbs of love thrown at us and whoever says otherwise is a wretched liar. Yes, I agree most of the times he feels left out and after what nemeisis told him he started feeling even more insecure and started overthinking about pretty much everything. No life is perfect. BUT Just so you pipsqueaks know and I cannot stress this enough NOT EVERY FREAKING ONE HAS SAME REACTION TO TRAUMA sure, some of us go through anger issues, some of us turn apathetic and some of us? SOME OF US TURN INTO THIS LARGE BALL OF ANXIETY AND INSECURITY THAT HAS FORGOTTEN HOW VERBAL COMMUNICATION WORKS, HAS SELF ESTEEM RESEMBLING THE BOTTOM OF A FINISHED JUICE BOTTLE AND GETS OVERWHELMED BY SMALL THINGS. And for Hades's sake STOP fucking glorifying things like trauma makes you more "distant" or "thick skinned" blah blah blah.

I just wanted to say that It was Jason Grace who helped Nico sort out his feelings and encouraged him but we still don't know how Nico reacted to Jason's death. Since, it was yet another death of a loved one for him..

Do you know why Leo Valdez deserved every right to kill Gaea with his bare hands? (and I'm glad that he got the chance). BECAUSE, BITCH MURDERED ESPERANZA VALDEZ!! And made AN EIGHT YEAR OLD feel guilty for what he didn't do!

I always forget that Jason was to Frank what Percy was to Leo and Piper in the whole swap thing. Like legendary camp hero, fought a Titan, led an army became the leader but he literally never met him until MoA??? Like I wish we’d have got franks thoughts on Jason the way we got Piper’s on Percy

sorry but people who forgive Luke Castellan but not Drew Tanaka are severely fucked up to me

clearly there's some sort of internalised misogyny and trauma from bullies in you, because if you honestly think a teen girl who is mean to people* is worse than someone who literally tried to murder a twelve year old (percy), and lead to the deaths of several other teenagers (manhattan) you have another thing coming

*i should add that from what we see, Drew Tanaka is mean to people from what we see of her. We see her three days after the unofficial camp leader has been kidnapped from the one place everyone thought was safe and less than a year after she fought in at least one battle against her former friends and family, likely watched her sister die, and is probably dealing with PTSD from that.

Let's not forget she's Sadie Kane's age, which means at most we're seeing her when she's 13-14. 14, and in charge of at least 4 siblings. Also, the fact she's counselor means she's been at camp the longest. that means, that at the age of (likely) thirteen (possibly twelve) she was made counselor after being at camp the longest. that means she likely also fought in the battle of the labyrinth, which meant she participated in the minor skirmishes preceding manhattan that percy mentions, which means that this 14 year old is a war veteran by the time we see her for the first time.

Drew is frequently put down in Piper's mind, not only for being mean, but for being girly, for liking pink and perfume and caring about her appearance. that isn't feminism, that's internalized misogyny. That's piper in a 'not like other girls' phase. piper is an unreliable narrator but we aren't talking about that.

also, drew isn't wrong that piper knew nothing about silena. like, piper was thinking about betraying them the entire time she was at camp for her dad.

and silena was a traitor. i don't deny she was probably groomed but honestly what a slap in the face it must have been to be thirteen, returning to home, a room you share with six-ten other kids, and to know that some of your best friends are dead, in no small part to your sister who sold them out.

but nobody is talking about that, because Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson, the heroes who are barely there, say Silena's a hero, and that means it's true, right?

It doesn't matter that her friends are dead, doesn't matter that mothers will never see their daughters again. That drew will never forget how her sister's blood felt on her skin. because if they say it, it must be true, right?

the fact luke castellan (mostly forgiven for being hot) (and angry, but drew tanaka is angry and none of you forgive her) is a goddamn tragedy and honestly she deserves a retcon or at the very least for people to understand that HOO is not black and white, and for you to look at characters that way is a detriment to analysis.

I also wanna add some Drew x Leo in there if you know what I mean, not just because I like the ship but also because I wanna give my boy Leo a better life

Yes it will extend this fic to the events of TLH and I'll make Drew go on the mission instead of Piper

Thinking about Jason Grace, a kid who fought for approvl for a parent he never really knew yet still feared. Felt like he couldn’t do anything without his father, praying to him for power. Boy who died and his father barely cared, boy who DIED FOR THE GODS and ultimately died for nothing, STILL not getting tbe one thing he wanted for most of his life. Jason Grace is really a sixteen year old kid isn’t he? Because god knows I felt the same. God knows Jason Grace. I know. i know.

Am I the only one who liked The Lost Hero more than Son of Neptune?? Like I think I read through TLH in less than a day, but SON took me a good week.

The day I finished Heroes of Olympus The Lost Hero and the day after, snow started storming outside. I bet this was Khione’s doing.
