There Had To Be Angst At Some Point In Time - Blog Posts

Velvet stood over Ant, a soft and small smile on his face, and he was holding his hand out.

Ant didn’t know how to react, so many thoughts and emotions were running around in his brain at that moment. It was Velvet, the bright red hair, the freckles scattered across his skin, and the same hoodie Ant got him for their first date years ago. It was Velvet.

Ant stared but saw that Velvet held a hand out, grabbing it he finally stood on his own two feet. Ant didn’t believe it was real. “Hey.”

“Hey,” Velvet smiled. “You’re paw still fits perfectly with mine ya know?”

Ant looked down and began to cry. “Yeah, it still does.” He had tightened the grip, not wanting Velvet to disappear.

Slowly Velvet raised his hand to Ant’s cheek, caressing it as he wiped tears away. The other would lean into the touch, holding his paw over the other’s. “What you did was absolutely stupid.”

“I know, I just thought that if I-” Ant didn’t really know what to say.

“I know, but hun, I’m dead I can’t be brought back to life. It’s not a crime to move on and live life.” Velvet stifled a laugh.

“I just wanted to live life with you.” Ant began to cry more.

Velvet didn’t know what to say, holding back his own tears knowing Ant was soon going to respawn. Instead Velvet finally kissed Ant before it was gonna be too late.

The kiss was warm, and the sparks were still there even after years of not seeing each other. He didn’t want it to end, he wanted to stay in this moment for ever. He closed his eyes.

But everything has to end at some point.

That’s when Velvet finally felt nothing, opening his eyes he realized that Ant was gone. Nothing in his grasp, and he just stared. He knew it was gonna happen, but not so soon.

Finally, he began to cry. No one there to console him this time.
