So I saw it as him recognizing himself in the reflection and reaching out to a life that he has long lost
Because I doubt they let him look in a mirror before going out to murder, if they did it means he would have a say in how he looks, which he doesn't
So seeing his reflection is something that was mostly left in his pre-HYDRA days
