Ooooo! Sounds like perfect for a reverse harem type story!

Oh and Natalie Certain can be like this Academic Alpha girl who has this ego of intelligence and feeling like she’s never wrong until someone (like Cruz) proves her wrong.

Here’s what the theme song would be:

A bi-harem with Cruz as the main lead, the boys and Natalie being her love interests, Lightning and Sally, while not her parents are more of her care takers/unofficial adopted parents. While Lightning’s cool with other boys, it’s Jackson and Natalie’s attitude that he has a problem with their sort of Holier Than Thou mentality.

Sorry… I’ve had my mind on a Cars harem story idea ever since I did a meme.

Hello! Just wanna say I lovee your writing and fics <333 and also quick question, what were the next-gen racers like in high school?

Awww, I’m flattered! ^-^ <3

Jackson - kinda quiet, gym class showoff, former middle school emo kid

Tim - friend to all, honor roll cinnamon roll, theater kid

Chase - jock, dated a cheerleader, somehow avoided most high school drama because he’s actually a decent person

Danny - hopeless romantic, always chasing someone he can’t have, but is surprisingly never bitter about it

Cruz - hella determined, liked by all, always super bubbly (except for when she wasn’t, and then everyone noticed and would try to help)

This took so long to finish because I was juggling it with a 9-5, and THEN I fucked up my wrist at said 9-5 so I didn't draw for a whole day and it made me sad. It was all worth it in the end though because I'm really happy with this, especially the pose work. The 2 days worth of practice I did last year is really paying off

I have no idea how to show this to the person I made it for, as far as I'm aware they don't have a DA or a Tumblr so I'm shit out of luck I think

Here Is The Last Character From This Batch Of Descriptions, Her Name Is Zostera And She's A Human-Atlantean(?)

Here is the last character from this batch of descriptions, her name is Zostera and she's a human-Atlantean(?) hybrid. I was really unhappy with her at first, mainly because I thought her face looked really weird (I think its mostly her hair and her "ears" honestly). That, and her armor is just really fuckin ugly, but I wasn't too upset about that because I can always just give her a different outfit. Overall she's grown on me a little. Still not that proud of her but I'm definitely gonna revisit her in the future :)

Here Is The Last Character From This Batch Of Descriptions, Her Name Is Zostera And She's A Human-Atlantean(?)

Here is her description, as soon as I read "aquamarine skinned" I knew I wanted to do some kind of weird fish lady. And as soon as I read "ripped, masculine clothes" I knew she had to be a tomboy. The makeup kinda contradicts that, but I gave her purple accents in her skin to imply that the "eye shadow" is natural. She also has glowing purple blood, because why not. Here are some details about her:

Zostera's name is based off the dwarf seahorse, I planned to make her more seahorse-coded but I literally had zero ideas for that outside the name

She is 5'1" (SHORT QUEEEEEEEEN✨)

She can breathe underwater and on the surface

She has excellent night vision, making her eyes sensitive to light

She is a warrior who aims to unite her two worlds, despite being rejected from both for being a half-blood

She is tough as nails and could absolutely kick your ass

The weird coral stalks on her body are actually sensory organs, and with them she can detect vibrations in the air, sort of like faux ears

When she's underwater, she can use them to echolocate and communicate with other ocean folk

If her coral stalks are damaged, it could cause serious long term brain damage, loss of memory, loss of cognitive function, loss of motor skills, and loss of certain senses. Imagine a concussion but your brain is on the outside of your skull

Her coral stalks can glow, but not that bright

When she was young, everyone in her home village called her a multitude of colorful mean names, among them being "gargler", which is actually a slur towards ocean folk. Dang ol racism

Because she has glowing purple blood, her face also glows purple when she blushes, which doesn't happen very often but you're welcome to try :)

I want to be supportive of women and girls getting to be their masculine self nowadays but it's really hard because I'll always be a bit resentful and salty about the fact I wasn't even allowed stuff like the Cars movies and playing with hotwheels. Telling my family I wanted to shave my head partially is probably my first gender related traumatic event.

Maybe I'm wrong for feeling that way, but I can't help but feel a lot of mixed emotions when seeing women, and especially little girls nowadays, get to be happily masculine as kids/teens or even young adults.

Any one want to suggest how we perspective writers can minimize this debate while still utilizing this trope? It's good character developing drama (in Little Woman [haven't wanted to watch GOT]) but I wouldn't want the drama to divide the fandom and continue after the book (or other media)

In the endless discussion of female gender presentation in fiction pop culture, I've noticed a slight trend.

When a fictional tomboy and girly girl are portrayed as foils to each other – especially if they're sisters – the majority of fans will claim that the girly girl is "privileged" while the tomboy is the underdog. But a decent number of other fans will backlash against this idea and claim that the tomboy is the real "privileged" one.

I've definitely seen this in discussions of Little Women's Jo and Amy, and if I'm not mistaken, it's common in discussions of Arya and Sansa in A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones too.

This is the gist of the debate:

Fans of the tomboy see the girly girl receive the social rewards that are won by performing femininity and ladylike manners, while the tomboy is socially punished and shamed for not being ladylike. They empathize with the tomboy's jealousy of the girly girl, and they resent the girly girl for it, viewing her as the one who has all the luck and gets all the love and respect.

The counterargument is that the tomboy actually receives more love and respect than the girly girl does. If not from society in general, then from family members and friends, especially male ones. They adore the tomboy and find her boyishness and wildness endearing, whereas they judge and ridicule the girly girl for her "silly," "vain" feminine tastes, even if they love her too. They don't give her as much attention or understanding as they give the tomboy, which must be very hard for her, and which the tomboy fails to appreciate.

It's an interesting debate, because there's always truth on both sides.

In a pre-20th century setting, and maybe today too, there is no "privileged" gender presentation for girls. Tomboyishness might be seen as endearing in a child or a teenager, but even among the people who love the tomboy the most, there's an understanding that can only be temporary; as a woman, she'll need to be "tamed" and learn to perform femininity. Meanwhile, girly girls are mocked as "silly," "vain," "prissy," etc., but it's also understood that they're behaving exactly the way they're supposed to behave. Young men in period settings might have more friendships with tomboys, but it's the girly girls whom they usually favor romantically. Both forms of gender presentation are punished in some way or other. Misogyny makes it a no-win situation.

The claim that girly girl characters get less attention from their families than their tomboy sisters is probably subjective, though. I'll let individual readers decide whether or not they think Ned Stark neglects Sansa, the March parents favor Jo over Amy, etc.

We also tend to see the claim from fans of the girly girl character that the author is biased in the tomboy's favor. But that's another issue for another post.

Actually, even more wild is the number of TERFs looking at this post and thinking "This post agrees with me". I am literally asking for a space where people respect other peoples' gender identities. A person who defines their political stance on how they don't respect certain people's genders is not welcome in such a place.

Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.

It's been wild seeing all the people immediately jump to calling this transphobia. I am literally asking for people to respect other peoples' gender identities.

I even very specifically did not say "trans people" in my original post, because the problem is not and never was trans people. (In fact, I'd say a GNC safe space needs to let trans people in for the same reason any queer safe space, including GNC ones needs to be able to let cishet people in--if it's not a safe space to people who are questioning, it's not a safe space)

I wouldn't even go as far as attributing this behavior to trans people. When it comes down to it, the people themselves are not the problem, it's their behavior.

The problem isn't trans people, it's people--of any identity--who think that, for some reason, the phrase "you should respect other people's identities" does not apply to them.

Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.

Edit: TERFs fuck off. You are just as bad when it comes to respecting people's gender identity as the people I'm complaining about.

I don't like derailing my own post, but since so many of you people have shared this, it's too good of an opportunity to pass up.

TRANS RIGHTS.
