Hey Guys,

I know this is very out of the blue, especially since I have been offline this website for a hot minute lol. But I find this to be very important to share:

Please try to listen to this podcast, "The Deck Investigates". Look it up. You can listen to it on pretty much any platform (I hope) or you can listen on their website thedeckpodcast.com.

If you choose to not listen to the podcast, I will not hold it against you. You are your own individual person with your own agency and I acknowledge that. The internet and marketing is very biased atm and I want to make it clear that I do not want to pressure anyone too much. However, I do encourage you to listen to what the hosts and family have to say about this case. It is a seemingly small case with huge holes; representing the so many unsolved and cold cases that could easily be solved if we were able to raise even a little more awareness so we can show how much these cases mean to the families, victims, and surrounding communities.

Anyways, I have to continue being slow here. School stuff is a lot and the amount of work is overwhelming, so I hope no one minds if the silence continues a bit longer. I hope you all have good present moments to counter the bad ones :)

Mindhunter is an intense, honest version of true crime. It's unsettling, fascinating, chilling and obsessive show that doesn't sensationalise the killers and their killings. They don't show gory imagery of disemboweled bodies. They describe gory imagery of disemboweled body and let us run wild with imagination. Obviously it has its moments of dramatisation that is required for entertainment but still I think the truest fans of crime genre will love this show. It should receive more attention and accolades.

‘‘I Knew Long Before I Started Killing That I Was Going To Be Killing, That It Was Going To End Up

‘‘I knew long before I started killing that I was going to be killing, that it was going to end up like that. The fantasies were too strong. They were going on for too long and were too elaborate.’‘

to all the true crime fans out there: pls pls pls, take care of yourself and your mental capacity to handle the horrible things about the world! as someone who enjoys true crime, sometimes i feel like i consume too much of it and it effects my mindset and moods. i've noticed i get bitter and often think about gorey things, remembering strangely specific details of a horrific case. it gets so difficult to be happy when there is a voice in the back of your mind going, "remember that case you heard about yesterday? the one where the girl was tortured for 40 days?"

sometimes, its okay - and important - to take breaks from consuming true crime things. take some time for yourself, tune out the horrible stuff, play music, dance, hang out with friends, whatever you want!

this is not to say you should not listen to true crime podcasts or watch true crime videos or read true crime books. it is simply a reminder that though there are bad things happening in the world, and bad people roam the streets, there are plenty of other things to be happy about!

a puppy taking its first step, a couple getting engaged, a brother reuniting with his sister, someone getting their drivers license, someone getting their first ever binder, a girl being able to see her worth, someone finally asking out their crush, a man walking out of an abusive relationship, two best friends meeting up after ten years, someone rescuing a cat from a busy road.... and much more!!!

we know first and foremost that humanity can be evil and not deserving of life ... but i hope that we remember that, sometimes, humanity can be beautiful and cherishable.

Okay, I just watched a documentary on Netflix about a crime and for some reason decided to go in the true crime community in here.

Various posts are absolutely disgusting! Don't you guys know nothing about limits?! Romanticize crimes, murderers, omg just stop! It's so disrespectful to families and victims!

One thing is to be curious about crimes, reasons why did that person murdered someone, how the brain of these people works, another thing is to make a tattoo of the bite that Bundy did in one of his victims, is to say that someone was "lucky" for being victim of Ramirez.

Please just stop. If you really think that these things are "cool" you really need help.

Ever notice how it's almost always the "mother's boyfriend" when a child is killed? Not a coincidence.

Harmony Montgomery: Who Are the Missing Child’s Parents?
Harmony Montgomery is a missing 7-year-old girl from Manchester, New Hampshire, who has not been seen since 2019. Her parents are Adam Montgomery and Crys Renee Sorey.

Let’s play true crime Jeopardy:

White child, a custody dispute, an illiterate mother, father with a neck tattoo who cut off contact with his family in 2019.

I’ll take “Meth-head parents” for $300.
