how do u think one would go about getting in a relationship with Andrew/Matthias šļø a lot of patience no doubt but i wanna hear ur BEAUTIFUL thoughts š love how u write everyone tbh u have such a good grasp of IDV characters and their personalities
You HAVE to be friends with them first.
Andrew and Matthias are top contenders for requiring the most patience for building a genuine relationship our of all the survivors, and for both of them it's due to trauma and trust issues. Neither of them trust people to value them, and are always waiting for the dime to drop. One day they'll almost round a corner and hear you complaining about them to a friend, saying how ugly they are, how much you're annoyed by them, how so-and-so is much better to be around.... And you'd have to pry and admission of that concern out of their cold, perma-dead hands. So the only way to combat this is with time and a genuine friendship as a foundation.
They're both the type to fall for a friend, for the above reasons and more. You've always been pretty/handsome, sure, but you can admire a sculpture without wanting to take it home. Its a kind, patient, and understanding heart that they value the most. If you've got the patience for this, the manor will give you the time, and one day they'll open up.
which survs (or hunters) do you think would get worked up knowing its their partner's first time? maybe im biased but i think fool's gold and luchino (maybe just evil reptilian? luchino is a gentleman but also he can be freaky idk) would get off on the idea that they're claiming their partner like nobody has before - š¶
HMMMM yeah I've got some thoughts. I'm gonna split this into three groups and just give a few mentions that fit each one well
Fool's Gold does not care about your experience levels or your comfort, and in fact it's hotter if you're tight and weak. His partners are just whiny little holes for him to fill, after all. Keep in mind, this one is going to hurt, and he doesn't care.
Florian doesn't even think he counts as a corruptor for this kink, because obviously he's squeaky clean polished gold! Still, it's pretty cute that you wanna give him the first run of your tight little body. Just don't be weirded out, okay? I promise everything he does and says is completely normal....
Ithaqua wouldn't want it any other way. But that doesn't surprise anyone at this point, does it? You are HIS, and HE is the only one that should be inside of you. Point. Period. Done.
Andrew is, on one hand, thrilled that you've both 'saved' yourselves for each other! On the other...neither of you really know what you're doing as a result. He would be flattered if he was your first, but practically speaking it's better if he's not.
Antonio thinks it's adorable that you want to be with him, but he does question if that's a safe choice to make. He'll go through with it if you really want, but he does make sure to warn you about the risks. (His size, for one, and the whole devil-posession thing.)
Alva doesn't mind either way. He's a slow burn, so if he considers it you're already in love anyway. He's a very patient lover--maybe too patient, for some--and will make sure you have plenty of prep. Honestly, with the way his libido is you might not even get his dick out of his pants the first few times. It's all fingers and mouth work, baby.
Luchino knows how he is as a lover (intense, to put it in a word) and while he will agree to be your first if there is mutual attraction and feelings, and he will be considerate and patient with you, he'd still prefer if you got someone else. His easy mode might still be a bit much for you, and anything more vanilla than that isn't often enjoyable for him. (Evil Reptilian is more like Fool's Gold, though. He gives no fucks.)
Matthias can't stand the thought of being the one to 'taint' you. It's hard enough getting to a point of feeling like it's okay to interact with you sexually at all, but to be your FIRST? No. Please, don't ask him again. He'd rather turn a blind eye to you bedding someone else for release.
Edgar will straight up tell you that he doesn't want to have to teach you how to have sex. He will, if you really want him to, but he's gonna grumble. (He's not the best or most patient teacher for this and he knows it. He'll try his best...but his best may not be satisfactory.)
Also, unironically some of the BEST male options for your first time: Luca, Eli, Joseph
Don't mind me, I just love him
-Victorās biggest struggle in life is his crippling social anxiety. Heās a kind-hearted individual with a lot of empathy, but heās deeply wounded by the pattern of abandonment heās had in life (his mother, his uncle, any friends he made in schoolā¦) and as a result heās one of the slowest in the manor to give true trust. Heās terrified of letting people in just to be abandoned again, and he doesnāt trust spoken words easily, so he simply avoids meeting people directly as much as possible. Promises, especially, make him feel gut-wrenching distrust for the one making them.
-(That said, Victor views keeping secrets as a promise of his own. One that others may not know heās keeping, but a promise for their privacy nonetheless.)
-He believes people are more authentic when they donāt know theyāre being observed, be it in-person or on paper. Victor doesnāt trust himself to accurately read someoneās tone or body language up close anymoreāhe becomes blinded by fear, and sometimes hope, so he takes things at face value even if itās to his detriment--but heās good at reading between written lines and gauging things from a distance. In this sense, heās a decent judge of character. Heās a people-watcher both for enjoyment and to build himself a sense of security around others. (Though, sometimes this leads people to think heās a bit of a creep, which makes him feel terrible.)
-All that said, Victor does not wish harm on anyone. Heās afraid of cruelty, not just for himself, but for anyone. And this is where his empathy comes ināhe really, truly wants for the world and the people in it to be better. If he thinks thereās a chance of helping someone improve, heās willing to help. If he thinks thereās a chance of saving someone from a painful death in a matchā¦heās willing to risk himself to see them through. He has some of the lowest pain tolerance in the manor, which is especially surprising to learn when you consider heās among the most willing to rush into danger to help someone. (I mean he ran into a burning building to save a dog....)
-Ironically, Victor is very big on communication in the relationships he does build. When he finally gets close with someone, heās not keen on losing them to misunderstanding or misplaced expectations, so he needs an open lineāand patienceāat all times. He still prefers letters to face-to-face conversation, however, so serious conversations can take a long time to sort through. (This goes for a modern setting, too. I know people think texting can be disingenuous, but Victor gets too stressed with face-to-face conversations and he prefers to have the time to think over and give a thought-out response that isnāt influenced by anxiety or fear.)
-Heās fit from all his walking, but doesnāt have much in the way of muscle. In fact, heās on the soft side, especially in his arms and stomach area. He makes for a very cozy cuddle buddy, and heās honestly one of the best huggers in the manor. (If heās comfortable with the person, that is.)
-Personally, I feel like heād be bit of a foodie. Heās not a picky eater and always happy to try new foods. (Though, while he doesnāt restrict himself from meat, he prefers fruit & veg.) If whatever heās eating is dog-safe, he also likes to share bits and pieces of stuff with Wick.
-His preferred Love Languages to give are Acts of Service and Quality Time. To receive, he likes Words of Affirmation and Quality Time. In short, he wants to spend as much time with his loved ones as he possibly can. He doesnāt need you to do things for him because heās used to taking care of himself, but he does like to receive sweet words (verbal or written) so he knows how much you love and value him! (That may sound counterintuitive given his suspicion for promises and sweet wordsā¦but by the time youāre close enough for love languages to matter, heās gotten over most of those hurdles with you.)
-Heās a bit of a goofball! Heās anxious enough that it doesnāt come out for most people, but he does enjoy a good, silly time. He gets along well with Memory and Emma, for example.
-Victor talks with Wick a lot. Not out loud, or even in writing, just in his head. Social anxiety can get lonely, and having a cute doggy face to put half of his internal dialogue to helps bury those feelingsā¦at least for a little while.
Just a little question I mused about for the survivors today.
āGee, these machines donāt seem to be holding up very well. How can we help them along, so we can GET OUT before they GIVE OUT?ā
In other words, the way I see it, ciphers could process on their own, but the issue is that theyāre in terrible shape. So, to get them working again, we have three options, one for each side of the cipher a character can use!
Front. Decoding Manually. Who Needs a Glorified Typewriter to Calculate for You?
Emily, Freddy, Lucky Guy, Kurt, Tracy, Helena, Fiona, Margaretha, Eli, Aesop, Norton, Patricia, Jose, Victor, Luca, Melly, Edgar, Ada, Orpheus, Memory, Luchino, Frederick, Alice, Evelyn
Side. Adjusting and Fixing. Just Keep This Hunk of Junk from Falling Apart, and Let Electricity Do the Rest!
Emma, Lucky Guy, Servais, Naib, Tracy, Vera, Kevin, Eli, Norton, Jose, Demi, Luca, Anne, Orpheus, Joker, Qi, Charles, Matthias, Florian
Back. Beat the Cipher Like it Stole Your Lunch Money. Why Not?
Andrew, Memory, Kreacher, Lucky Guy, Naib, William, Vera, Kevin, Norton, Murro, Patricia, Mike, Edgar, Ganji, Emil, Luchino, Lily, Matthias, Florian
A few commentaries:
-Memory is just a child, so in practice she doesnāt know much about these ciphers and will resort to just kinda shaking and smacking them. However, sheās also a creation from Orpheusās mind, so his education and inclinations show up in her too sometimes, and this is when sheāll type and calculate.
-Helena has memorized a keyboard layout, but doesnāt exactly know what each part on the cipher does and isnāt violent enough to be smacking at it, so she only types.
-Aesop isnāt the best typer, but he doesnāt like getting his hands covered in the cipherās grease nor does he want any bruises from roughhousing it.
-Lucky Guy is highly adaptable and can fill in wherever heās needed on a cipher. Norton is similar, though he does prefer adjusting from the side to typing.
-Luchino is primarily a typer, but sometimes, when his stress is high enough or heās used enough of that serum, his instincts take over and he rages on the ciphers a bit. -Andrew, William, Murro, and Emil have no clue what these machines are or how they work, just that they NEED to work. And you know what? Beating the fuckall out of them seems to be doing the trick well enough.
