Not enough people are talking about Twisters team of queer hillbilly tornado wranglers. That’s a full fruit bowl, including Tyler’s disaster bi cowboy-scientist ass. They’re the rainbow flag of storm chasers, the Young Avengers of meteorology.
What is their story? How did they meet? Did Tyler put an advert out for his crew like ‘must be hot, hets need not apply’?
Need a movie solely focused on their adventures being gay and chasing tornadoes. They were the story.

A lot of storm chasers don’t just go after tornados. In fact, a large amount of them also go after hurricanes. Kate and Tyler are hands down the tornado-whisperers, but what if Javi’s specialty is hurricanes?
The military deals a lot more with hurricanes than they do tornados, and given that more military bases are at the mercy of hurricanes, it makes sense that Javi would have spent more time with them. But maybe the Tornado Wanglers hadn’t branched out into hurricanes before.
Maybe they notice Javi missing from the parking lot party and find him sitting on the bed of a motel room with the tv on a weather channel covering this massive hurricane headed towards the east coast, phone on speaker as he talks to an old military buddy while he’s looking over data and models on his laptop.
Y'all should come read the first chapter of a book I'm starting where everyone survived the E5 but they have to go through the difficulties of surviving the E5

i’m surprised i haven’t seen more people consider javi being the one who knows the hardings.
javi has the most knowledge of (and respect for) the dorothy tech out of the twisters cast; hell, he even names the stormPAR units after wizard of oz characters. and he has the most interest in carrying on the hardings’ work of demystifying tornadoes. the fact that he even got his hands on dorothy makes it possible that he’s at least acquainted with the hardings.
like. consider bright-eyed college kid javi going out to the harding residence, nervous because these two are really protective of dorothy and he needs to impress them. only to find that their idea of a test of character is a stormchase in a truck that smells like armpit and a round of porch beers. and then the hardings are ride-or-die for this random kid from miami forever. they probably celebrated when javi called em to say he broke ties with riggs, because they were worried javi was selling his soul after his friends were killed. i need it okay.

So I've been reading Twisters fanfics for like the last week since I saw the movie and I don't remember anyone named gabi. I made the conclusions that when they are talking about gabi, they are actually talking about dani
Reasons why:
Whenever she is mentioned, it is with the tornado wranglers, which are tyler, Boone, lily, DANI, and dexter, and they don't have anyone named gabi in their group
If I'm wrong, please correct me, but I've also checked the cast list for someone named gabi and haven't found it
i fear they may have put some kind of addictive drug in twisters because every single man in that movie is killing me 🥵

Kate and Javi both have survivors guilt kates, being that she led her friends into an E5 and Javi, being that he didn't warn them quickly enough
Javi is bisexual and has hooked up with everyone in his friend group except addy
Addy is a lesbian whose gay awaking was jo harding
Javi was the one who told everyone parents what happened
