WOAH??? Thank you guys so much for the support on the taylyn post????
Uhm here have some sillies sillying
I wanted to draw ash, logan and Ben and even haruka from milgram as well but that's gonna have to be for another day
Here are the full chibis (my first complete attempt at chibis yippie)
For the longest time, I have wanted to know where the most part of sbg is set. Idk if the location has been released before and I'm just dumb but I have never come across it in the webtoon, tumblr or red's insta, (edit i also checked the wiki and they only knew of the sorrel weed house) so I assumed it was never stated.
i never was able to try and find it until i was scrolling through tumblr and saw this picture.
Despite seeing this multiple time I had never noticed the bus route map in the corner, so I took a screenshot of it and went to google lens in hope that it was a clue to where it may be set.
To my suprise something did show up! If this is correct than sbg is set somewhere called harrisonburg, VA but to confirm i compared it to the other only real world example in the sbg universe, the sorrel weed house. (btw the sorrel weed house is real haunted house)
according to mr thomas it takes eight hours to get to the savanna (which is two minutes away from the sorrel weed house) so i grabbed google once more and compared those times on google maps.
and according to google it does take about an hour to get to the savannah so it safe to assume that sbg is set in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
(Edit: after I got few comments that sbg was actually set in alto Georgia I looked into it and oops I was wrong. sbg is set in alto Georgia.
Still it's a bit odd because between alto Georgia and savanna Georgia, there is a four hour travel time and also the bus route is set somewhere eight hours away.
Like sbglover4ever said in the comments it might be some sort of foreshadowing, otherwise this is wrong, still it was fun researching this!!)
A while ago, when I was rereading sbg, I noticed that there is a rly good chance that Baron and his friends might be in the phantom dimension.
Rly early on in the first season when the main group go to the arcade, they get into a fight with Baron and his friends trying to help Noah.
During this scene, a small rift to the phantom dimension is opened while they are fighting.
This rift is almost the exact same as the rift that was created in the episode where ashlyn was attacked by an infected human. A few episodes later, it is confirmed that she did pull a few workers into the phantom dimension from this rift.
So from this, we can safely assume that ashlyn can pull people into the phantom dimension. So what if she did end up pulling someone in earlier? What if this person was none other than everybody's least favourite person, Baron?
Like, imagine if later on in the story the two groups bump into each other in the phantom world and have to either fight it out or become allies and work together.
Idk, but I think it has just too much potential for red to not do anything with it, and this would be a rly good plot point seeing the kids are out of the facility now.
I was rereading sbg, and I noticed that there were only two gifs in the whole webtoon.
This in itself isn't much, but both these times happen when a rift to the phantom dimension opens up, or more specifically, when ashlyn opens a rift up.
If you reread the scene where the kids first get dragged into the phantom world in the sorrel weed house, there are no gifs to be seen, but both times when the group was fighting Barron and co and when ashlyn was attached by the phantom person in the facility, there was a gif.
This could be showing how powerful ashlyn is becoming, more powerful than the place that brought her to the phantom world at the start.
I rly don't like it, but I'm starting to think that the parents are going to have to die or get separated from the main six at some point in escaping the facility for the plot to continue.
A big idea of sbg is people who don't know each other, having to work together to survive and become friends alone the way. It becomes an entirely different story when you add parents to the mix.
Also, it would really inconvent for them to have to move around with an extra ten people.
Either way, I just can't see the plot continuing with the parents joining them in the escape.
(Btw I'm not a fastpasser so I have no idea what happens when they do escape 😅)
Just a quick theory that's been plaguing my mind for a long time, enjoy :)
To start off we all know that based on both tyler's and aiden's deaths you probably can't die in phantom world, but what if that was the same for the real world too?
When the change to the phantom world happens the groups' bodies change from the one in the human dimension to the one in the phantom dimension (into something that may or may not be a human) but their conscious stays the same throughout this process.
So when ashlyn first got scratched by the phantom in the sorrel weed house, her phantom dimension form was injured, but her (real) body was not affected, also in both forms she can recall what happened.
So going off this we can assume that anyone who goes into the phantom world has 2 bodies and one mind that gets transported between both of them.
So what happens when one of these bodies die?
When tyler had the tree accident we know that his phantom dimension body was probably not operational (considering most of his organs were ripped apart) but his human body was, and although it took awhile for him to regain consciousness he woke up after sometime in his human body.
In this situation essentially tylers mind has no choice but to give up on his phantom body and go back to his human body. Even though the phantom body had some magic healing powers and tyler's conscious was able to go back to it later in the story, at this time that body was not able to be used, so i'm theorising that without his human body for his conscious to go back to Tyler would be very dead.
Based on all of this, my guess it that if someone were to die in the human world and had a phantom body in a stable (not dead) condition, they would not die but would just be stuck in the phantom world in that body.
Or if the phantom world is rubbing off on their human form, the human body could regenerate and they could use it again later.
Overall making anyone who has a (in use) phantom body, more or less immortal (if we forget about old age).
Or maybe this is all just 3am brain rot, your choice.
We don't get enough little fanfics and drabbles for sbg it's 4am and I felt like writing headcanons for fun !!
-Firm believer in wasian Ben.
-Ashlyn's an insanely picky eater and she likes apple juice
-Aiden broke his arm one time sitting on his bed trying to rip open a bag of chips he ended up hitting his arm on the wall and that was the first time he broke a bone
-Tyler's left handed (I dont know it makes sense in my head bear with me here 😕)
-Taylor's signature scent is Marc Jacobs daisy it was a birthday gift from her mom and Tyler and it's her prized possession she adores it
-Logan really likes The Hunger Games and watches it with Ashlyn (this one's self indulgent)
-Aiden HATES wearing slippers he says it makes his feet feel claustrophobic (???) and it mildly irks Ben
-Ashlyn likes big dogs and in her head she kinda pictures Ben as one??? Does this make sense??? It's four in the morning im so sorry
-Taylor likes barbecue flavoured Pringles and misses the old mascot dearly
-I think Aiden's a fein he's a teenage boy it makes sense in my head
-Aiden never ties his shoelaces and stresses everyone out and constantly forgets to take out his contacts before bed so they get dry and suction cupped to his eyes
-Ben sleeps with either a nightlight that barely does anything or in pitch black and he's the heaviest sleeper ever
-Ashlyn has a helix piercing but healing it was a nightmare because of dance and also how it kept getting caught in her hair
-Tyler does Ashlyn and Taylor's hair and helps Aiden with bleaching his when his roots are growing in
-Logan got a jellycat from the group once it was either a fat ugly-cute frog or the piece of toast
if there's an sbg fic i've probably already read it not once but at the very least 3 times
i need more school bus graveyard fics i cant do this anymore esp with the hiatus 😞‼️
What kind of cars the gang would have
Ashlyn winds up with a jeep. 100%. Though, she doesn’t exactly drive all that often. She tends to carpool with the others, seeing as it’s kinda illegal to drive with earplugs or muffs
Aiden absolutely has a truck or something with four wheel drive that he can take off road. I also feel like he’s been introduced to mud bogging since coming to Georgia so I wouldn’t be too surprised if he had a second car or even a buggy for that. Honestly leaning towards a Ford Bronco car wise though.
Ben something more practical, definitely some sort of sedan. He’d want something with pretty decent safety ratings especially if he’d be driving around with his sister. I can see him having a Toyota Camry.
Logan. Another sedan, though something on the smaller side, for sure. Maybe a Corolla? though I think him having a scooter would be likely as well. they’re fairly cheap plus I kinda can’t unsee it.
Taylor. You can’t convince me that she doesn’t wind up with an older truck or car that she’s personally fixing up. If it’s not her everyday car then it’s def a passion project. But for the most part she would have the oldie and let Tyler have a car of his own.
Tyler stumped me a little I was caught between a smaller truck or even a sedan or suv but I think he’d go for a truck. Something on the smaller side though, he doesn’t seem like the sort who would have a big luxury truck or anything like that. At most Taylor has given it a makeover under the hood, though nothing overly loud.
imagine, if you will, a sbg fantasy au
I don't know if anyone's done this yet but here we go! I'm a huge fantasy nerd, so I might be biased here, but I think sbg in a fantasy setting would go hard. now you could really throw in any ships, but personally, I built this idea around Tyden and Taylyn
so consider this:
(fair warning, this got a lot longer than I thought it would, I kinda ran with it)
Tyler and Taylor are the prince and princess of the kingdom, but they've essentially been running the country since they became teenagers what with their father having passed away and their mother being unfit to rule due to her mental state after her husband's passing. After their father died, Tyler still takes on the role of caretaker of sorts. Sometimes he even has a habit of burning himself out, Taylor and Ashlyn have to remind him often that it's okay to take a break. Ashlyn actually pulled him to the side one night and practically forced him to let Taylor start taking on more responsibilities, just so that he wouldn't fall under the weight of the kingdom.
On the subject of Ashlyn, her parents served in the king and queen's royal guard, and she even followed in her parent's footsteps. Considering both her lineage and the fact that she basically grew up with Tyler and Taylor, she winds up becoming the personal guard of the prince and princess(the twins) and the acting captain of the royal guard once she's deemed ready (which considering it's Ashlyn, is relatively quick). When it comes to her hearing, she'd definitely have some sort of wool or something put in her helmet to help muffle any loud noises. But her hearing also makes her a perfect guard, even allowing her to keep surveillance a fair distance away.
Eventually, it comes a time when the advisers decide that Tyler is of an age that he needs to find a suitor. The twins manage to fight it for as long as they can but when they turn 19, there's no getting around it. This would be around the time that Aiden and Ben show up, though for an unrelated reason.
See, Aiden is a prince himself, and Ben is a nobleman(title unknown) with close blood relation to the throne as well. Aiden isn't exactly all that into being a prince though, he'd rather go out, have fun, and be an adventurer (which is exactly what he's doing in the twin's kingdom) Ben is there to make sure Aiden doesn't get himself killed or cause any trouble with any foreign powers (friendly or otherwise).
As for Logan, well, his knack for astrology isn't going to waste, that's for sure. See, he's the apprentice of the kingdom's Royal Astronomer. And he absolutely loves it. Not only does he get to study the stars and be able to help support his grandparents, who would still run a flower shop in the capital's town square
Now of course rumors floating around the castle staff that Taylor has a secret love. Granted they can never catch a glimpse of the mystery suitor, (thanks to Ashlyn's super hearing) but the kitchen staff has it on good authority that it's someone from the royal guard. (Ashlyn and Taylor likely would have kept their relationship on the down-low for a bit in the beginning, but would eventually take it public, I mean, who's gonna stop them? the twins run the country, and of course, their mom just wants them to be happy and maybe give her a grandkid or two if either of them wants to have any)
That being said, the idea of little secret late-night rendevous where they wander the castle grounds talking and maybe wind up stargazing in the gardens is too good to pass up (They may not know as much about astronomy as say Logan, but they would definitely make up their own constellations and stories to go with them)
As for our other pair: Naturally, Tyler has a very strong opinion of Aiden. He's not exactly princely, and he does NOT like the fact his attitude when it comes to the politics of being in a royal family. But at the same time, this not-so-princely prince isn't like any other noble or royal he's ever met. He's intrigued. Deep down, there's a part of Tyler that wants to know more about Aiden and the world that he's gotten to explore and adventure through.
In the end, Aiden may or may not be the one who manages to get Tyler to enjoy his youth while he can, convincing him that the weight of the world doesn't have to fall on his shoulders alone. And Tyler may or may not have found himself a suitor in the process.
