No, but, seriously, I love this. Like, I’ve always really loved the concept of Person A getting into a relationship with Person B, but all of Person A’s friends/family don’t like Person B for some reason, because it is prime angst material. After all, who wants to chose between a lover and friends/family - they’re all people you love, just in different ways, but it hurts that none of them can get along for reasons you can’t understand.

And, the class not being the ones to like Kariage? Perfection. I love it. Just, the fact that the kids are Heroes-in-training, people who’re supposed to be the epitome of good, and yet they still make mistakes. They see Kari, in all his delinquent-esque self, with his cigarettes and piercings, and they immediately don’t like him, don’t even think to look past that to see his true, kind and funny nature. Add in their jealously from just how close Katsuki is to this two-bit thug, and you’ve got some serious animosity that they don’t even bother to try and hide.

And, oh my gosh, when Kirishima was the ome to overhear Kariage comforting Katsuki? Boom, my heart was hurting. Because, Kiri was supposed to be one of Katsuki’s friends, how didn’t he realize that he was hurting him?

But, I just love how the class, after hearing what happened from Kiri, make efforts to change their ways. They give Kariage a chance, and, yeah, he’s an absolute asshole, but he’s also funny and kind and he loved Katsuki so fucking much, and that’s something they all share with Kariage.

And him being best friends with Shinsou and Tokoyami (and, maybe Jirou to complete to Goth Squad 👀) is absolute gold, I freaking adore it.

The first time Kariage met the class they didn’t really like him. They kind of respected him for the way he could calm Katsuki down but the feelings of jealousy inside of them made it almost impossible to see just how kind and genuine he was. Along with that, they just didn’t think he was good for Katsuki’s image. The guy just looked like an absolute dickhead, and he fucking smoked, for gods sake. 

Their animosity disappeared the moment they overheard Katsuki talking to Kariage about it, though. 

It was Kirishima that heard them. Kariage was staying in the dorms for the night and Kirishima was just walking downstairs to get something to drink, but just as he was about to turn the corner and step into the common room he heard some sniffles and a deep, raspy voice.

“Come on, babe, you’re worryin’ ‘bout this way more than I am.”

“Shut the fuck up, it’s stupid, I know, but I just want you all to get along, I’m fucking tired of everyone talking shit about you everywhere we go and I’m tired of the looks and the way everyone’s arguing.”

“You’re too sweet, baby, just ignore ‘em.”

Kirishima ignored the sound of kisses being pressed against Katsuki’s face and he just went back to his room and sent a message after making a groupchat without Katsuki in it.

Guys, we fucked up.

After telling them what he heard the class changed immediately, they realized they’ve been absolute assholes and completely inconsiderate. They start to spend more time with Kariage, getting to know him and hanging out with him and straight away they fall in love with the guy. He’s a bit of a dick sometimes, sarcastic and with a dry sense of humour, but every time he talks about Katsuki his eyes light up and he gets this sappy smile on his face and they can’t dislike him after seeing that.

The person he gets along the best with is Tokoyami though, and later on Shinsou. They get together and revel in their goth/emo/punk aesthetics.

!!! The fact that you feed us rarepair shippers so well is so amazing of you, Gab. Like?? The pure perfection of this? I fucking teared up reading this, I had to read it multiple times, Gab, it was that amazing, okay? Everything about this story is absolutely exquisite - Katsuki becoming Number One, Aizawa and the class crying because they’re so proud, the proposal scene??? It was so beautiful, Gabby, like??? The way you worded everything made it all the more perfect and you are literally one of my favorite people ever <33

It’s so fucking immaculate, oh my god, you are literally so amazing for drawing Kari, he’s so beautiful in your art style!! 

I tried drawing Kariage in the mha art style I haven't tried to draw in it before so hopefully it doesn't look too wonky

!!! Hi, yes, I’d like to establish that Kari calling Katsuki any and all petnames currently occupies every braincell I have to spare. Like, the concept of Katsuki, someone most people see as this tough, uber masculine guy just absolutely melting at being called baby and honey, and angel? It’s perfect, it’s literally so freaking amazing and I love it.

And, I absolutely adore how no one says a thing about it. They hear Katsuki be called these sugar sweet terms of endearment and immediately wanna tease him, but then, they see him smile? They see him blush bright red and look away shyly with a small, cute smile and gently shove and Kariage, and he’s looks so happy. Aizawa and the Bakusquad can’t find it in themselves to take that away, and I love that. 

Because, with all the shit Katsuki’s had to deal with and been put through, all the pain and shame and hurt, he deserves everything good. And, if a little petname or two make him happy then that’s perfectly okay.

Hey, I hope school gets better for you, soon! I can definitely relate to the stress and it sucks that you have to deal with that >:( Regardless, I got a headcanon for Kariage, if that's cool! Personally, he gives me the vibe of someone who uses a million and one petnames for his partner, and Baku would 100% be subject to this. I just find it so cute to think about how Baku would react to all the cutesy nicknames and how *others*, like the Bakusquad and Aizawa, would react to them as well! :)

Thank you!! It’s a bit of a struggle now as I’m trying to get into the swing of things once again after months of not attending Uni, plus I have a few scripts to write, some shit to direct, etc. but I’ll figure it out!!

Also!! Yes! I totally agree.

He just has that energy of someone who’s incredibly cocky, very confident and likes to tease and toy with people, that’s the reason he first uses pet-names, he just likes the way it makes Katsuki stutter and blush and tell him to fuck off.

But then, once they get together, he does it because he knows fine well how much Katsuki loves it. He knows because he’s seen that soft little smile that appears on Katsuki’s face whenever he calls him anything remotely sweet.

So he calls him baby, sweetheart, angel, anything and everything he can think of, just to get Katsuki to smile at him like that.

And I think that the first time the class/Aizawa hear Kariage call him pet-names they’re so damn ready to tease him. They’re already thinking of what they’re going to say at him, a lot of them are a few seconds away from laughing at the scene. But then they see the way Katsuki reacts, the smile, the blush, the way he looks down at the floor and bites his lip and slaps Kariage’s shoulder, the taller boy just looking down at him and smiling all proud and smug, and suddenly they have nothing to say. They know that if they say anything, if they do something awful as laugh, it would affect Katsuki, it would make him feel embarrassed and ashamed of liking something as sweet and soft as pet-names. So they keep their mouths shut and pretend they didn’t hear or see anything.
