Finally, after two weeks I can write about my academic struggles! How are you, folks? How are you all holding up?
Last September 10, UP decided to resume classes even after the students’ and the faculty’s numerous calls to postpone it. Some students, even teachers, got confused with their class schedule and were met with various technical difficulties like power shortages and poor internet connection. It was chaotic and pretty exhausting.
Luckily, some teachers were kind enough to let students adjust to the new mode of teaching first before getting right into the discussions. They explained to us how they were only given 14 weeks to teach the whole material for this semester. This made me realize how hard they simplified the lessons to make it easier and clearer to understand and so their generosity weighed heavier than before.
I also started to get the hang of using Notion, and as someone who was intimidated by it before I can say Notion is a very useful app. I think I’ll write about my template on future posts. I hope I could explain it better, then.
I know I said before that I will try to revive this studyblr, but I realized that I’m doing a pretty shit job at it. If you guys want to be friends or simply just to have someone like and reblog your posts, hit me up! I’ll try to interact better. >____<
Today, I managed to check 1 out of 2 on my to-do list, and honestly? that felt better than not checking anything!
It’s been so long since we had this lockdown, and with the way things are going: the lockdown would be longer. Some provinces are apparently going into a GCQ, but if it’s not needed, please stay at home! At the very least, wear a mask! Still, we continue to advocate for mass testing!
Last night, I had this Big Brain moment. I was wondering what to do during this lockdown, and I realized that I have my studyblr! I thought this might be the best time to actually work on establishing my studyblr since I have nothing much to do. I would probably put up a more concrete introduction in the next few days, but basically this is my way of doing something productive. I managed to clean out my studyblr, and I also managed to clean my room. I may not have made all the progress I would want but, hey! Little progress is still progress.
Quick academic update:
i’m planning to shift to a different course;
i’ve managed to start working on my requirements (yay!!!);
uplb admin is, once again, evident on their anti-student tendencies.
I’ll post a proper write-up about this soon. I’ll try and head to bed early now since I’ve realized that I can work better on my academic requirements during the day. Here’s to hoping I get up early tomorrow lol.
Anyway, I hope you’re all safe and healthy! To all my fellow Filipinos, stay vigilant! We only have at most 7 days before the terror bill automatically becomes a law. Read up, stay hydrated, and get enough rest!
