Her voice drawls on the last word, and Laila retorts, “Is that your plan? Die, resurrect, seduce an innocent man to depths of the ocean?”

“Hardly. You’re not a man, Ms. Kivris, or innocent for that matter.”

By the spirits, she’s an incorrigible flirt and probably responsible for a dozen stereotypes about sirens. Laila leans back to look at Derina better, the blood in her face running hot and keeps her mouth shut. She doesn’t trust her tongue enough right now.

The corner of Derina's lip curls up knowingly, her eyes wild and tipsy as they focus on her. Laila wets her lips and whispers, “What are you playing at?”

“Just a dance. We’ve got plenty of time until Marty kicks us out.” Derina tugs her hand but makes no motion to get up, brushing her thumb across Laila's knuckles.

Bet vampires would hate garlic powder.

I'm not wildly fond of tumblr ads promoting weight loss all willy-nilly, but the theming of this one combined with the fact that I saw it on a blog that I first followed for Dracula Daily posting has me losing it. Lose weight how, pray tell, dear tumblr ad? Lose blood weight? Because someone's drinking it? Am I going to be running through Transylvania because there's a vampire chasing me?

I lowkey want one of those "live laugh love" type house signs that says "come freely, go safely, and leave something of the happiness you bring" for the entryway of my house someday. I think it'd be hilarious, but it's also lowkey a nice greeting in its own way, if perhaps mildly ominous... What a nice way to set a welcoming vibe! ;)

Wait a minute, they used Na Na Na in Renfield, a vampire movie... Which presumably means that they paid My Chemical Romance for use of that song... Which means....

They finally did it. MCR got their vampire money!

Be back to cat drawings this weekend. Busy week. And my brain's been weird for a while; it likely shows in my creations. I've got an eyeball ring on my desk right now, for crying out loud.

I think I drew an OC versus Creator thing a while back, but I can't remember what I've done with it, so here's one I drew today

I swear I'm not Undead, I'm just cynical as anything and spend too much time squinting suspiciously at people. How I can have such a happy vampire, I have no idea.

Quick sketch of my newest vampire. Unlike Pierce, October is a classic toxic heartthrob vampire with broody antihero problems, a long, bad history with damsels, and he rides a motorbike. In black leather clothes. Oh, geez.

He and Pierce are blood-feuding rivals.

Well, to be clear, October is out to get Pierce, but Pierce has a bit of a weak spot for people who hate him, as it were, so it's a one-sided relationship. On both sides.

Prompt 11, OC at age 5. Here's Pierce at ages 5, 15, and 25:

Kiddie Pierce (though Pierce was not his name back then) had a nice, spoiled childhood, he only looks like that because they wouldn't let him hold his favourite rat while posing for his portrait - children often had long hair in his time, like this painting of Winston Churchill.

In his teens, Oscar Wilde had long hair, so so did he. Maybe we can convince him to wear his hair long again, at age 150.

25 was the year he became the vampire Pierce.

I swear I'll return for the rest of the prompts! I really want to draw Phantom cats again, but my brain won't leave me alone right now.

The last couple of days have been quite shite, so let's dress up and mess up a vampire. Perfect timing @vladimirsangel to request "Edgy Outfit." (Can you tell that neither of us knows what edgy means?)

Pierce, being Edwardian, thinks the second shirt means "happy and here to murder," and the third one, "I have a nice shirt."

(To clarify, Pierce is pansexual and should not be allowed to go clothes shopping unsupervised)
