The process of creating an Astral is quite unfortunate.
A dying star takes its final breath, wishing for a new beginning. A burst of light and color explodes in all directions. Energy gathers and condenses into a featureless form of pure light.
The explosion that forms them results in their eminent demise. A celestial entity, existing in all dimensions. Such a being took pity on these short lived creatures. A fraction of its power was transferred into the form, resulting in a reaction. The power absorbed the emotions of energy and matter around it.
Absorbed matter formed a personality, an appearance, and a power unique to them.
The fell from the sky, landing on the planet closest to them. Inhabitants of each land were baffled by these strange beings. Some ran in terror as the newly formed beings caused destruction. Others happily adopted the beings, relishing in their companionship.
Children of the stars, they were called. Born from the stars themselves, retaining a youthful childlike appearance for thousands of years.
This, was the creation of Astrals.

Philo classes can be boring, right ? So during that loooong time, I drew this. The stained glass style was fitting well for this character, and it make it a cool poster. The colors turned out incredibly smooth, despite being color pencils. It was really fun to put as many references to Void as possible.
I have another one based on Taranza and Sectonia in stock but incomplete, I sould finish it someday !
Kirbtober day 31 : Darkness
" Darkness has its place just as much as light […]. For the stars sparkled twice as bright in the depths of space ! " (Kirby mass attack)
AKA kirby hugs everything, including the embodiment of darkness, because he's a pure soul of poyo.
Would you belive me if I said I wasn't inspired at first for the word of the day ? But, hey, I love how it turned out ! I used a mix of watercolors for the background and acrylics for the characters and the stars. It had some strange effects, like the watercolor poping out of a -supposedly- waterproof layer of acrylic.
This kirbtober was really fun to make ! I started it at the end of jully, and I finished the last drawing yesterday. What a trip ! I probably won't do it next year, or at least not the kirby-themed one. It was a great way to start posting things online !
Also, I saved a picture of just the background :
Final Boss!
Void is such an amazing character..needs to show up more…they literally MADE the universe!
