More natural X-Key. Softer colors.
Jonathan’s brother, Jason, did the keyframes for this quick cut of X-Key on her bike. Then it was passed to me for tweening.
DJ Jam! This is concept art for a character from X-Key. I like how she looks even with minimal line art.
Jonathan did some quick doodles of the characters from Rebellion.
X-Key jumping down, way down it appears.
Jonathan did the keyframes and I tweened it.

Ok I was trying to upload a gif of some vfx I applied to this image Jonathan drew of X-Key in her stealth camo but the gif seems to show up as a still image so until I figure this out I’ll just post the still image.
Edit: Ok it looks like I got it going so hopefuly you can see.
Quick gif of the layering of this sketch Jonathan did. Hope you guys are having a good day =)
How was your winter? Spring is right around the corner here.

Jonathan posted this sketch to the instagram a few days ago so here are a couple of the in progress versions.
Here’s some vectored ink art for a swag bag we gave out at last year’s C2E2.
Lead artist Jonathan likes to do what he calls “non-destructive drawing”, in which layers or other methods are used to separate different steps of an illustration in order to make changes to specific parts.
This can result in a lot of layers being put down but it’s nice to be able to go back and see how the rough sketch led to the final drawing :)
I can’t believe we never posted this! I left her lips on in the shading version just because I think it looks really cool. Anyway, we’re back on the webcomic and will be posting new pages regularly at highoctanerevolution.com so come check it out!
This is line art from a short clip we did in 2014. Two bandits rushing X-Key. I don’t remember why the one guy’s arm disappears like that but I know we fixed it in the final version =)
Seems you guys like these process images so here a set from a pic we posted on instagram a few days ago. Hope you all are having a good new year so far!
