I just went back to Tumblr to see what's going on and I saw that I have a fourth follower since today. >o<
I'm really happy because it means so much to me! Because I personally don't think I post really special things, such as really good artists who post beautiful paintings and drawings. I just randomly share what I feel like doing and what comes to my mind and having people follow me for this is something I really appreciate. Thank you! Does anyone have any tips for my drawing dream?
Hey you out there :^
I would like to practice my hobby of painting even more than I already do. I love to paint with pen and paper in my old little sketchbook, but I would like to do more now. I would like to paint as beautifully as, for example, heikala or snakequeen7 do it. (I follow them here on Tumblr - what you people are invited to do as well, they paint really magically beautiful ^^) I generally sketch very messy and with a lot of lines and strokes. I have read that Heikala also uses colored ink for painting instead of watercolors. That's very smart and I think I'll give it a try. I'm also thinking about starting to paint on a tablet. Because as I said, since I sketch very "messy" it might help to draw on a tablet with a special app and an electronic pencil (idk how that thingies are called :] ), where I can also use special color effects, etc. How do you see it? Do you have any tips and tricks for me? With drawings you simply bring a piece of your imagination to life - you make it a little more realistic. And I would love to be able to do it as many guys like me who like to paint and draw in their free time.

I remembering being at the Monterey aquarium a few times and I recall it's repurposed from a cannery. Does the aquarium have a book of the building's history? I'd love to buy it and read up on the local history.
It’s true! The Aquarium stands on the site of the former Hovden and Sea Pride canneries. Here’s a brief history of the Aquarium. For a longer read, this book delves into the history of Monterey Bay, including the Aquarium!
The canneries are an important part of Monterey Bay history and you can find tributes to them throughout the Aquarium, including the smokestacks on the roof and the boiler exhibit in the atrium.
The smokestacks! They’re now sealed and primarily used as a perch by peregrine falcons searching for prey.
Restored boilers—fish would be cooked in these as part of the canning process.

Bird #50 - dino friend???
Just a little celebratory doodle today, because we've somehow reached 50 birds!? This is crazy to me; the longest art project I've done before this was 11 drawings spread over a single month. Much love to anyone who has ever reblogged or commented or interacted with this blog <3
Anyways, even though this friend isn't a particular species, here is a customary fun fact: One singular feather of the archaeopteryx (One of the covert feathers, covering the main flight feathers) had been analyzed for colour and was probably black. Other than that, we don't know anything about achaeopteryx colours!
