Ngl I do think Mary coulda been one of the few states that was nice to Alaska about the Alaskan purchase 😼 this is not my bias for her speaking 🙄 clearly, she heard he had lots of crabs and she was like “a waste of money?? also, an Hc my girlfriend has (for her own Mary, since she is not a part of wttt and does her own state stuff as always <3 she allows me to use them cuz she knows how much I love and want to share her ideas) for Mary is that she has vitiligo, because of the state cat being the calico, which as far as I know is not a specific species/breed of cat, rather a coloration pattern of a cat’s coat— as well as the state flag having a checker-like pattern with patterns in them (the best I can describe that) so I’d like to hear if y’all would love that for her!!

I Imagine Alaska never really had the chance to get a proper education, his auntie surely taught him well but ripping him away from her and being forced to deal with missionaries and boarding schools and whatnot likely didn't help, especially considering that Alaska simply thinks different (autism) <//3 so probably a small insecurity that he thinks he ain't smart, and others calling him slow (in Alaska's opinion, it seems to be that everyone is too addicted to wanting to do everything fast all the time and never truly experiencing) but he is rather smart, when he's given time and a chance, which is why he seems to understand whales and astronomy to a complicated level i like to think
