ive been trying to distract myself from what happened to van at this episode so heres my theory about what's happening next in the teen timeline:
we're finally heading to the point we knew was coming - the explanations of misty and natalies relationship, their partnership, why is misty so devoted to natalie and why natalie just lets her.
since we saw that she's currently the only one who knows misty has (and possibly broke) the transmitter while being one of the few people in the group that actually really wants to go back, i think natalies gonna be divided between the anger and the betrayal about what misty did but also hope about the fact that she may be able to fix it and they can finally go home after she almost lost all of her hopes when the bear guy died. also, i think nat must know that if she tells anyone about it they may kill misty AND not even try to fix the transmitter.
that said, i believe we're finally going to see more of their dynamic in ep10 + first episodes of season 4, where, together, both secretly try to fix what hannah broke and manage to call someone while the rest of the group is fighting and hunting - that's when the rescue actually comes. also, i do think maybe van and travis may find out about it (?) 😀
if nat and misty are able to actually get the rescue it would explain why tai feels so responsible for her and is always paying stuff for her.
this whole thing would also explain why misty is so loyal to nat and why she does have a soft spot for misty cause what if she kept that secret for 25 years ? anyways... #sendingtotheuniverse
not that connected to the shipp itself (even tho im actually expecting this to be shipp related) but i think a must for s4 that they give us some development on mistynat post rescue. this giant gap between their relationship in the teen x adult timeline doesn't really add up....
in the start of season one we have an overview of why the girls find misty so weird and exclude her from the group (the whole situation with ben + the poisoning + etc), meanwhile we see the adults acting on it as if it was the reason why they treat her like a freak.
BUT the thing is that currently on season 3 misty is kind of accepted again in some way (we can see a bit of it at the trial scene, specially the way nat treats her), so what really happened between her and all the girls so they just disappeared on her for 25 years even tho she tried to keep contact with them?
did ALL the girls really ignored her or did something happen between her and natalie? why did they both had such a weird ass horny reaction when they met up again? why aren't shauna and tai that surprised when nat says misty was helping her with the whole travis thing? and most importantly, why didn't misty go after natalie before??
anyways, just some things ive been thinking about. #brainrot

Idk if someone has already connected these dots but something about shaunahat's conversation mentioning killing Hannah, theories about her being the Antler Queen and conversation Lottie and Nat had in season 2 in adult timeline about the hive killing its Queen.... idk if it makes sense but I like theories about Hannah as AQ because it smells like really interesting dynamic..

Okay this is gonna be long, but I’ve got a lot of ground to cover so please bear with me. In a real way, this is my series thesis.
I’ve said before, many times now (like a cycle) that for me the most important scene is ep 1 act 1 scene 1. There’s something There that I have been struggling to see clearly, struggling to articulate, and s2e9 really finally gave me the last pieces for it.
I think that Pit Girl is the point of the entire story. But not in the way that I thought going in. I feel like I’m rambling, so I’m going to try to structure my thoughts.
Imagine you’re a new viewer. You haven’t watched yj start to finish 30 times, you’ve never even buzzed before. You turn on the tv and the FIRST thing that happens is you see … brutality. A half dressed girl chased through the freezing woods, murdered without a chance. They drag her through the snow, string her up, pour her blood on the ground. Hack her into unrecognisable chunks. Sit around in scary outfits and rip at her, with a huge focus on the teeth, as horror music plays. Then, Misty takes off her mask, puts on her glasses, and does the worst possible thing. She smiles. Directly at you.
Again, forget everything you know and go on vibes. You’re seeing the teens pre-crash, and you’re seeing them in the third timeline, fully formed, with horror motifs and covered in fur. You’d be mistaken for thinking that you were seeing start and end. Except that… we know, and you know, that Pit Girl is the middle. These monsters somehow came back from this. How? When they’re so so so far gone?
Hence the show. I know I’m not breaking new ground here, but bear with me. I’m going somewhere.
