in honor of phineas and ferb coming back can you imagine being a disney investor in the early 2000s watching some guys' storyboard pitch and you're like "oh this seems funny and cute but also relatively normal for a children's television show" and then this happens without warning
i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?
I didn’t think I could love him anymore
I saw this video on Instagram, and thought I'd share it here. I've been a bit absent posting lately (life's been crazy, sorry) but wanted to come back real quick to show this video with you guys. Viggo was literally the perfect Aragorn. Everything I hear from and about this guy makes me like him more. Everything he said here is absolutely true. It makes me wonder why so many groups think they're the good guys when they are actively doing what the villains do. This is why media literacy, knowledge of social issues, and an appreciation for fiction is important. Viggo's shirt also has an important message. I just love everything about this video.
And remember: 1) Free Palestine and 2) No one is illegal on stolen land.
We love a good old lover boy
I love Violet because she really looked at the strongest, scariest rider in the whole quadrant who actively wanted to kill her, and went yep, that’s the one I want to fuck.
And she did.
She also turned him into a romantic boy obsessed and I think that’s so great for her.
I know some people were salty about Bilbo in the Hobbit movies not wearing the same thing that Ian Holm Bilbo is wearing in the prologue scene of Fellowship, and I hear you. That kind of attention to detail is always wonderful. And I know some people think the explanation that since the voice over is done by Galadriel, she probably just didn't know what he was wearing is a copout.
However...I do enjoy picturing everyone sitting around listening to Galadriel tell the story, and Bilbo starts tugging on Elrond's sleeve and whispering to him like
"Elrond...Elrond...that's not what I was wearing that day."
(being patient with the elderly) "It's okay, Bilbo."
"I didn't even own that waistcoat yet."
(getting exasperated) "It really doesn't matter, it's fine."
"It's not fine. It's wrong. Tell her she got it wrong, Elrond."
(questioning his life choices) "I'm not going to do that, Bilbo."
"Why not?"
david tennant did the bafta host with his nonbinary pride pin and fuzzy sweater and a cutedog , songged his wife on the red carpet and then subjected everyone to his funny weird dynamic with micheal sheen , did not dis anyone , did not make an aweful comment about anything, wore stellar outfits being the most gorgeuse person out of everyone, give everyone proper respect and attention, finished the job and went home to do an eye mask and rest his feet.
i truly admire him. truly one kind of a man.
Can’t wait for, like, 2025 when we look back on the 2018/2019 era and say “hey, remember when we were all really freaking depressed? That was a crazy time! Glad we aren’t like that anymore”
I saw these photos and couldn’t NOT caption them with something Rowaelin coded. 🦅 🔥 ❤️
"No," said Merry. "It's no good getting under cover. That's just what people have been doing, and just what these ruffians like... No, we've got to do something at once!"
"Do what?" said Pippin.
"Raise the Shire," said Merry. "Now! Wake all our people. They hate all this, you can see! All of them except one or two rascals and fools that want to be important. But not all understand what's really going on. The Shire-folk have been so comfortable so long they don't know what to do. They just want a match, though, and they'll all go up in fire."

So fuckn chaotic I love it
