A quick doodle of alastors valentines fit
I'm allergic to make up and I happen to like cute clothing: automatically makes me a "pick me"
Yet goth/emo women putting other women down costantly for not being as "cool" or tomboy like them and calling us toxic and dumb just for liking pink making men in a relationship "right" is somehow "empowering"
How do these people not realise that
We arenโt saying weโre โreal womenโ or superior or anything.
Not wearing makeup wouldnโt actively discriminate you from jobs and even normal social situations.
All this isnโt happening in some scenario where thereโs a 50/50 split between makeup and non-makeup women.
"Alastor is aroace, Viv is just afraid to make it canon because she doesn't want people fighting more about shipping then they already do."
And
"Alastor being aroace doesn't really matter when it comes to shipping because shipping as a whole is already not canon."
Are both truths that can coexist.
Liberal feminists for menโs rights: "Men can cry" "Men can wear pink" "Men can wear dresses" "Men deserve flowers" "Men donโt have to pay the bills" "Men deserve princess treatment too" "Men's mental health matters" "Men deserve better" "Feminism is about equality" ๐ฅบ
Liberal feminists for womenโs rights: "Women can sell their body to make money" "Women can wear sexy revealing clothes" "Women can be housewives serving their husbands" "Women can enjoy violent sex" "Women can have casual sex with men" "Feminism is about choice" ๐
ppl will be like i donโt want to read ooc fics and not realise fans have so many personal interpretations of canon that ooc means a different thing to different ppl. like my favourite fics iโve ever read all have slightly different characterisations and yet i devour them all with hunger. what makes a fic great, to me, maybe has more to do with consistency of voice than with a consensus on what โin characterโ means, more to do with the quality of writing and the strength of the premise and whether my heart gets shattered and healed or not
us disabled people should be given the power to project our disability onto any ableist that tries to downplay it or judge us for it. they'd crumble in an instant.
Or meme trends by women
cant remember who said this originally (not on tumblr) but i 100% believe the reason memes die out so much quicker now is because more womyn are involved in the culture.
the 'womyn arent funny' stereotype is so ingrained in mens head they dont like womyn enjoying internet jokes!
Ok so this is a bit of a crack theory, I donโt actually believe it, but itโs funny so Iโm posting it anyway.
Hazbin Hotel. Alastor does not show any parental bond towards Charlie until episode 5, when Lucifer shows up. Alastor quickly deduces that Luciferโs lackluster parenting skills is a weak point, and thus makes himself, someone Lucifer had previously dismissed as beneath him, out to be a more capable father figure.
That itself is not the theory, just the setup so weโre all on the same page. So. What if Charlie saw right through Alastorโs plan to one up her actual dad, and, fed up with Luciferโs past behavior herself (we see earlier in the episode that she is the one who is reluctant to call Lucifer), she, hear me out, PURPOSEFULLY GOES ALONG WITH IT.
Like, she sees that Alastor doesnโt actually view her as a daughter and is just saying so to get under Luciferโs skin, but instead of calling him out she plays along! And thatโs exactly what happens in Hellโs Greatest Dad, Charlie is very much on board Alastorโs side of the song, agreeing at every opportunity, while with Lucifer she is justโฆ lost, confused. Occasionally awed, but she never really joins in on his part.
Of course, unlike Alastor, Charlie actually has a more benign reason to be tricking her dad. She wants him to see sinners as people, and what better way to do that than to show how one of the worst sinners has helped her? And later in the episode, Alastor is the actual reason Lucifer changes his views and agrees to help Charlie with her dream! Iโm too lazy to get the actual quotes, it it went something like this:
Alastor: in the background, giant, terrorizing the loan sharks
Lucifer: โThis is why you canโt trust sinners, they always end up destroying everything.โ
Charlie: โHis methodโs are a littleโฆ extreme. But heโs doing it to protect the hotel!โ
Lucifer: โUh huh. Isnโt he the reason youโre being attacked in the first place?โ
Charlie: โAt least heโs actually been here! How come he believes in me and you donโt.โ
Lucifer: (thinking) Oh crap oh fuck
Something like that lol. Again donโt feel like finding the actual quotes. But yeah even if Alastorโs showboating about being a better father were exaggerated, the fact that he presented himself as a better father is the silver bullet Charlie needed to change Luciferโs point of view, or at least give him a wake up call.
To reiterate, the โcrack theoryโ part of this is just that Charlie purposefully went along with Alโs embellished motivations during Hellโs Greatest Dad. Personally I think she was blinded by Alastorโs change of tone that her optimism made her actually believe what he was saying (I think Charlie and Lucifer were the only two actually fooled by Alastor, but they were the only two that mattered for that particular trick)
Everything else, like how Charlie used Alastor twisted version of help to convince her father to help her, is either canon or a more solid theory.
If u had any free time and felt like drawing something that random lil rascal requested, would you consider drawing Charlie or Vaggie in you artstyle๐ฅบ๐ฅฐ
Why not both, both is good โจ
I know itโs probably impossible but do you think you could do a human sketch of Baxter? He was shown in a little clip with Charlie. If not itโs totally fine
It's not impossible. I have some key points like he died in the 1910s, the mad scientist aspect, and his show's design (even though I don't know how accurate it is for the show now but still). I can work with that :3
Maybe after the second season, I'll change something about his human design, but it was still fun to try anyway.
On the flip side, what about demon Alastor being able to change his hairstyle? For the sake of convenience, let's assume the straight bob is not part of his punishment xD
Under Rosie's clear guidance ๐
(for the context)
More fem!Alastor? Pretty please? ๐๐
More murderous woman it is~
Thank you!!!
Hey if youโre schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that youโre a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.
SORRY TO BE SO MUCH BUT THANK YOU
Hot take, but cis people have gender identities. They aren't the gender they identify as because of their genitalia or what their birth certificate says. They're only cis because they identify with a gender and it happens to match their government documentation. Cis men aren't men because they're "obviously" men for having a penis. They're men because they identify as men. It's the self-identification that dictates this, not any other factor, even for cis folks. And we should be framing it this way. A cis man identifies as a man and a cis woman identifies as a woman. There is no automatic or inherent gender.
THIS
I'm a she/her woman BECAUSE I IDENTIFY AS SUCH not over genitalia or anything
And no it wasn't much indoctrination either in my case because none of my parents cared what I preferred to play with as a kid as long as I had fun
And I get the thing to be still referred as she/her as a kid still but if I had a problem with that I'd voice it as a kid too. I never did and it wasn't because they wanted to call me a she/her and I was like "makes sense/I fear their judgment" (they tried to tell me to play with feminine things but I also refused and they didn't mind either nor get mad etc.)but because I felt 100% comfortable with the label. I was a rather vocal kid and teen who never let my parents decide for me no matter what
So basically..yes
Gender is NOT the genitalia

ALASTOR!!
I heard Vox had confessed his love for you!
and then lucifer said โthreesome?โ and I was like-
WHAT THE F***?!?!?!?!??
He wasn't listening. Whatever gossip this was went in one ear and out the other.
Yeah he strikes as demiromantic to me too but if he's aro it's valid too!!
we were assigned positions for the debate. i have to argue against trans women being included in feminism
Hey so apparently the Trump administration is trying to include Natives in his unconstitutional birthright citizenship end order. They haven't been non citizens since 1924. He trying to fucking reverse the Snyder Act.
A lot, if not all, of his plans impact natives in some way. Remember to keep advocating for native rights.
Do you want this *drops Cursed cat alastor*

iโm so so so so so so so fucking sick of โwomen with a time machine: hehe iโm ur granddaughterโ โwomenโs bathrooms: omg can i borrow a lip glossโ โwomen playing games: omg i get to have a kitty so cuteโ and some โepicโ or whatever male counterpart to the meme SHUT UP SHUT UP WHEN ARE WE GONNA STOP PRETENDING THERE ISNT CRAZY AMOUNTS OF UNDERLYING MISOGYNY IN โwomen: lame, monolith of femininity and shallow thought - men: awesome badass crazyโ I HATE THAT THIS STUPID MEME FORMAT IS SO COMMON AND NO ONE PICKS UP ON HOW MUCH MODERN MEMES HATE WOMEN
I just saw one of the many ways that rape culture is subtley normalized in media.
I won't say what show I was watching because I don't want any spoilers, but the main character is a shifty guy who's meant to have a good heart regardless, and we're meant to sympathize strongly with him. He tricked a drunk woman into having sex with him by telling her a direct lie about who he was. She woke up horrified at being lied to and he went through his morning routine undisturbed by her outrage or her abrupt departure. The writers try to make it an amusing and light-hearted situation, like, "Boys will be boys! What a scoundrel, how funny, right?"
It isn't funny. It's sexual assault.
Imagine being the sort of "person" who lies to someone in order to get them to sleep with you with the understanding that they wouldn't come near you if you were honest about yourself; knowing that you were subverting their right to be selective about sexual partners and treating them like an object for your use rather than a human being who has the right to decide who has access to their bodies. Yet this is what this man did, and the show just moved on like it was no big deal instead of addressing what it actually was: a sign of a soulless, exploitative sexual predator, and someone no one should be sympathizing with.
There are SO many examples of this. Did anyone ever see those dumbass movies from the early 2000's, Superbad and 40-Year Old Virgin? The former is entirely about two teenage moids trying to get their classmates drunk so they'll be incapacitated enough to have sex with them, fully acknowledging that the girls would regard it as a mistake...
The latter is about a man getting advice as to how to manipulate women into sex, which in one scene involves targeting women who are so inebriated that they're stumbling out of the bar. The men in the movie compare "drunk bitches" to gazelles and themselves to tigers, openly admitting that they're predators.
This all plants the idea that there is nothing serious about men preying on women; that it's even funny in it's own way. A lot of times, these men even have their happily ever after (or something closely resembling it) with the woman they preyed upon. I'm not even ๐ต๐ณ๐บ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ to think of examples and tons of them are crashing down on me. Another is the Breakast Club, where John Bender insulted Claire the entire time, made her cry, attempted to fucking ๐ด๐ฆ๐น๐ถ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐บ ๐ข๐ด๐ด๐ข๐ถ๐ญ๐ต ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ under the table...
And yet at the end she kisses him multiple times and gives him her diamond earring.
Why? WHY? It makes me want to scream, cry, and vomit! I feel such despair at all of this because it's EVERYWHERE. The message of "Yeah just let men do what they want to you okay, it's normal, dont be such an uptight bitch, it's just what guys do and it's not a big deal" is all over the place and it's no wonder women have such a low standard for decent behavior from males. It's intentional. You have a million shitbag males in movies and shows who you're told to like and to root for while they abuse women who adore them at the end, after all they've done to them. Why would you not believe this is all normal when you're seeing it wherever you turn?
Sometimes it feels like such a huge problem, so all-pervasive, that I just want to throw in the towel. But ALL through my most impressionable years, no one pointed out any of this to me. No one said, "Look at what they're trying to make you believe is normal. Isn't that disgusting and pathetic?" ๐๐ฐ ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฆ talks about it, and I wish someone had! So if even ONE woman becomes more vigilant about the messages she's being fed through these storylines, and the way these situations are portrayed as normal, funny or charming, and these characters as "good guys" when actually they are ๐ด๐ฆ๐น๐ถ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ข๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐ด and NONE of this is normal or okay...
Then it was worth writing a post about.
"Small chest is sooo feminine and womanly as a nonbinary/gender non conforming person"
Yet if I say they are womanly/feminine as a woman too and to stop body shaming them I'm just weird
Ok.
It's really interesting to me that trans-progressive people will say things like "gender isn't real" and "anyone can be anything", but they look at a cis woman who doesn't conform to beauty standards and assume she must be some sort of trans. She doesn't remove her body hair or wears clothing she finds comfortable, and for some reason, this challenges people.
I've had a discussion with my friend about this because I see this so much. I would rather claw off my skin than have someone call me "they" because they assume I'm something I'm not. There is quite literally nothing about me that would indicate that I identify as anything but a woman, I just happen to refuse to remove body hair or wear makeup and wear what I find most comfortable. It's kind of insane to me that for a group of people who claim to be progressive, an adult woman cannot look like an adult woman (not a male curated look to appeal to pedophilic beauty standards).
What's even worse is having people try to convince me that I'm anything but a woman. There's always a misogynistic reason for their way of thinking, too, but they think they're doing something by trying to convince me that my sex isn't good enough. Get a life.
Reminder that hermaphrodite ORIGINALLY referred to intersex human beings and is in fact never a neutral biological term. It's a slur. Stop saying it.
"Something better than femboys? WOMEN!!"
(I don't think nor would seriously say this but a lot of you always say that on the opposite way..you realize how shitty it sounds when it's about people you actually give a fuck about?)
I want women to collectively start gaslighting men, in the way they gaslight us. If you see Reddit posts / IG posts say things like this.
I want women to undermine any menโs issues with saying:
โAhhh itโs not that deepโ
โChill, youโre being emotionalโ
โYou should focus on being a dad, none of your passions will matterโ
โAre you sure your fit to do this job?โ
โI mean will your education even matter, your degree doesnโt have much value lolโ
โAhh Menโ๏ธโ
โI canโt take you seriouslyโ
โYou sureโ
โI think youโre being dramaticโ
โYouโre being irrationalโ
โMen live life on easy modeโ (which they do)
โAre you sure, you didnโt imagine it?โ
โNahh we donโt care about your passions and hobbies, how much money do you make?โ
โI want a traditional husband that pays for everything but who also does all the domestic labourโ
โHave you gained weight?โ
โIโm a visual creature so i need a really handsome manโ
โWhy am I not allowed to have preferencesโ
โAre you sure itโs not your faultโ
โI need to hear her side of the storyโ
โ#notallwomenโ
โI mean if men donโt go to war whatโs the point of them? Lolโ
โYou should give her a chanceโ
โYouโre standards are too highโ
โAre you sure you didnโt imagine it?โ
โI think youโre being hystericalโ
โAhh heโs a 4โ (Rating a man on his posts)
โHeโs midโ
โNot that funnyโ - to a male comedian
โWho told him he was funny?โ
โLearn to take a jokeโ
โwhy should someone have you if they could have someone younger?โ
โWhy would she go for you, if she could have someone with more money lolโ
โYou should focus on raising childrenโ
"hun dont be insecure about that, theres way more things you should be insecure about, that receeding hairline for example"
โYouโre gonna die aloneโ
Even if a Man is right about ANYTHING still proceed to gaslight him. IDGAF. Lmao. They have been doing this to women for most of history. Gaslight him, make him feel unworthy and shitty. I genuinely donโt give a shit.
Let me know what more I should add to the list, in the comments.
"VivziePop highlighted Alastor's duality as a character and described him as being the type of person to own two homes, one a fancy townhouse, the other a rickety hunting lodge in a bayou on stilts." This is from the wiki and I have been thinking about it concerning who Alastor is on the show.
You can see the most obvious show of this duality in his room. The room moves from a rather tasteful room to a bayou where he apparently prefers to eat. There is a combination of civilization and wildness. There is the duality of how Alastor can go from seemingly harmless to a literal monster. He is as close to his human side as he is to his animal side.
The duality of being both predator and prey is something that I feel needs its own post to explore but the best example I can think of for creatures that exist with this duality are cats and how they are predators but also constantly worry that other creatures around them are going to hurt them. The duality of pride and fear can even be seen in this. Cats are known for their pride, but a lot of things scare them.
The duality in how he treats those he owns. We have seen Alastor's relationship with 2 of the souls he owns. Alastor is abusive to Husk while he treats Niffty with care. He drags Husk by his chain for disrespect but lets Niffty put a roach crown on his head and call him the roach king. Someone actually pointed out to me that Alastor is the only person at the hotel who treats Niffty like a person. The difference in his treatment of them is so great that some people started theorising that he doesn't own Niffty. However, it is just more of the duality in his nature. His capacity for kindness exists beside his capacity for cruelty.
Vivzie said that Alastor was a chaotic neutral character but also admitted that she wasn't familiar with the terms. She might have been referring to his dual nature and his existence as both good and evil with no idea which version of him you will get. It could also turn out that he is the type to do good for evil reasons and evil for good reasons.
Alastor is the type of character that is best understood when you understand that he is a character that is meant to hold contradicting traits. When only one side of the character is considered, much of the character's depth is lost.
does it ever happen to you to search why a female celebrity or a female internet personality is so hated by everybody to only find sheโs cringe ? and then you search why their male counterparts are so loved to only find rape allegations and other crimes ? โcause, yeah same. it happens every fucking time.
How are people shocked that snoop dogg is a bad person? The same guy who literally brags about being a pimp? Really? Youโre surprised that guy supports Trump? Oh okay
