Finally done.

Mountain: "A lot of people get mad when I call Dew my wife. They say I should use husband or just partner, but then when I tell them that, no, actually my wife asked me to call him that, because he thinks it's funny, but also, 'Why can't a man be a wife?'... Based on the Stańczyk painting by Jan Matejko. This painting had always intrigued me, and since I know Ghost every time I saw it I thought I had to make an adaptation. And so I did.

There are still a lot of little things to improve but as always I have to force myself to stop.

I was thinking and wanting to draw Cumulus as Venus recently and so i did as much as i don't like my art in general, this time, i'm enamoured.

I don't know if this panel will be kept because it's just an expression test, but I'm saving every Obito I fear I might scrap here, so they don't just disappear.

Nervous dad Mountain.

Mountain finding out that Dew's pregnant and, after congratulating Dew, immediately removing himself to sit in his room in the dark and have an anxiety attack

Mountain recording himself drumming for the bump, then getting nervous about playing it for the kit in case it's too loud.

Mountain getting SO worried every time he hears Dew in the bathroom in the morning, and makes it a habit of waking up before Dew and waiting with a glass of ice water and a damp cloth by the bathroom door, ready for Dew when he needs him.

He's absolutely terrified about the idea that the kit could be his, not because he doesn't want kids, but because there's such a size difference between him and Dew that he doesn't want Dew to be in pain from carrying a kit that's physically too big for his lithe fire ghoul body.

He paces at night. Really gets into his head about everything that could go wrong, both while Dew's carrying and afterwards. He wished he didn't look up things like pre-eclampsia and hyperemesis gravidarum, wished he hadn't asked Omega about all the things that could possibly happen to Dew.

Sometimes he sees Rain at night, sat up in one of the window nooks, worrying about the same things.

Dew gets chronic nosebleeds from the pregnancy. Mountain FREAKS OUT when he looks over at Dew one day and he has blood trickling from his nose, meanwhile Dew's completely oblivious.

One day, Mountain gets so In His Thoughts and stressed about Dew that he goes to the wood, finds a felled tree, and makes a whole rocking chair out of it. He got so stressed that to distract himself he made a rocking chair for the nursery (it's Dew's favourite part of the nursery).

And when the kit decides to arrive, Mountain has a complete panic attack during Dew's labour and spends about an hour crying while Cumulus hugs him and rubs his back.

Mountain's terrified the first time he holds the kit. He's so big and they're so little. A tiny multi kit, they must've gotten a bit of each parent's element. They fit into the palms of his hands, and immediately snuggle into his chest. Mountain cries big, fat, blubbering tears throughout the first hold, then calms down enough to lean down and whisper to the baby in his mother tongue that no harm will ever come to them or their parents.
