All in The Family 1999 walked so that The New Norm could stumble.

I couldn't have put it better myself @lolothesilly thanks for the in depth analysis; Clearly The New Norm isn't going to work as a Show, a Joke or a Punchline.

"the new norm" rips the living room from "all in the family" almost exactly and its deeply funny to me

like i know tnn is SUPPOSED to be hugely inspired by aitf but its driving me crazy how thats THE SAME ROOM. right down to the little wall-hanging between the closet and stairs.

for context: all in the family was a show from the 1970s about archie bunker (a conservative white man), his simple but kindhearted wife edith, his progressive daughter and her husband, and various neighbors including a black couple and a feminist couple

the WHOLE SHOW is lightly making fun of archie, how he's stuck in his ways and out of touch, and how despite genuinely caring about his family he alienates everyone with his bigoted beliefs. it's a really interesting character study honestly

apparently even (or especially) back when this was airing, there were people who thought archie was the hero and not the butt of the joke. the rick sanchez problem is nothing new. it's just astounding to me how many people refuse to engage even an ounce of critical thinking.

anyway AITF season 1 is free on youtube, watch that (or literally anything else) instead of elon musk's cringe ass garbage

The Opening Titles are a spoof of the intros to the ABC miniseries The Winds of War (1983) and it's follow up War and Remembrance (1988); ABC is also the same network work that aired Dinosaurs during the show original run.

The Mayor and Magnolia

I made this drawing of Mayor John Hancock and singer Magnolia from the video game Fallout 4, if you look closely notice that I drew Magnoila to resemble her voice actress Lynda Carter who needs no introduction and who wrote and performed several own her own songs in the game.

I showed it to @reallyndacarter herself and she said she loved it, I mean it's always cool when someone who you're a fan of enjoys your drawing.

Here you are Lynda! I made a drawing of you as Magnolia the character you voiced in Fallout 4, alongside everybody's favorite post apocalyptic mayor the legendary John Hancock.

I'd love to know what you think of it? I know it's not perfect but it was a lot of fun to draw.

I decided to remake my previous Animation effort in Glorious Color; I think did good job and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

I enjoyed make this Amy Purdy's my favorite Athele because her humble and friendly personality; She's also a very brave woman, coming back to the sport she loved most after nearly losing her life to Meningtis at age 19.

Amy also made history by becoming one of the first Paralympic Snowboarders in the 2014 Paralympics were she earned the bronze medal representing Team USA.

Neil Bonnett wins his second NASCAR Winston Cup series race and his first on a superspeedway win, beating the King Richard Petty himself.

Coincidently this would by Dodge's final win in the cup series until 2001, Neil Bonnett sadly wouldn't be there to witness it in person as he tragically lost his life while practicing for the 1994 Daytona 500.

The Doctor meets Ace

The Doctor Who serial Dragonfire is a sadly underrated story, it has everything comedy, mystery, drama and irony.

Dragonfire is one of the reasons why the Seventh Doctor and Ace, are my favorite characters in the series long history. Dragonfire introduces us to Ace and faintly hints at a new direction for the series for the few years anyway.

My favorite Doctor Who Companion in her Shining Moment and a callback to that Moment; I'm a big fan of Ace and her actress Sophie Aldred, she really brings the character a grounded sense of humanity and warmth.
