man it really would be nice to do one big long trauma dump ✨lore post✨ because i think its important that i am able to talk about my story and it definitely does have a lot to do with my art journey. however i also dont feel like doing a vent-post style post of any kind is a good idea. all i know is that i want to tell it somewhere. now that its finally over.

if i try to write it into a short story i just know im gonna both dance around it with depersonalized metaphorical garbage and change the truth to fit whatever "chapter format" i will inevitably latch onto.

i know i like to bond with people and see how they became who they are, but honestly tumblr isn't the place for that kind of sharing from me, at least not right now. we'll see in a few years, maybe.

I'm currently working on getting stuff set up for commissions! It's been a while in the making and I honestly don't know why it took so long for me to sit down and do it. I've got my prices semi-set, but now I have to compile some art as examples so I can make a shiny commission info sheet. And I also have to set up the actual uh. payment.

College has turned me into a bit of a frugal little beast so I may be underselling myself. We will see how it goes. It'll at least give me better ways to procrastinate on my work than just scrolling the same three websites.

I hope that commissions motivate me more to learn and improve (and maybe actually start using references like I am supposed to), so I can't wait! Except I kind of have to while I get stuff set up. Should be done within a couple weeks. probably.

seeing 2023 off, it's very nice to see that i've become everything i once swore to destroy. everything, both in name and definition (because i mixed up several of those back in ye olde days)

What's funnier is that it was mostly coincidence. but knowing that a younger me would tremble and rage before my presence brings me joy. ive grown so much!! :3
